There were times at which Valhalla thought there was no way he would ever get used to being this strangely dressed 'super hero' business... and then there were other times that he thought he was getting pretty good at fighting youma and keeping civilians protected. Or at least when he actually managed to kill them with little incident.

The page of Jupiter stumbled backwards into the brick wall of a building as the monster he'd just been fighting burst into dust in front of him, a hand lifting to grip at the gash along his upper arm. Go figure it would manage to scratch him where he had no cloth or leather to protect him. A few inches lower and the claws would have caught on the leather vambraces protecting his forearms, but he didn't have that kind of luck today.

Well, he was lucky not to be cornered by anyone with large weapons or people who could apparently corrupt someone by throwing them through mirrors. Mirrorwalking was convenient (if there were mirrors around that were big enough), but after his one-time experience, he would rather stick with normal means of transportation. He had no taste for subspace teleporting, either. So really... he was quite lucky.

After fighting and killing the youma, Valhalla was tempted to power down and go home. It was late, or at least it had to be by this point. Most likely after midnight, but the city was darker than usual. It was only just starting to drizzle, and he ducked under the cover of a bus stop to make sure his arm wouldn't need medical attention. He didn't think it would, but it was times like this that he wished he carried gauze around with him.

Super Sailor Flora was being terrible at patrols lately.

She tried to convince herself that it was because she was worried about the Surrounding and the Princess, but that was no excuse. It was her duty to serve, yes, but also her duty to protect. She hadn't abandoned patrols entirely, but she had certainly neglected it quite a bit, having her head stuck in the clouds. Or more appropriately, deep in the outskirts of space.

It was only when she paused on the edge of the rooftop and decided to chance a glance down that she saw someone just defeat a youma, watching the last few second of its life as it exploded into dust.

The guy who had done the deed didn't look like a Senshi, but hey, at least he was on her side. Flora leaped down as she noticed the injury on his arm, calling out to him. "Hey! Are you alright?" The least she could do was to make sure he was, to make up for the guilt within her who kept chanting that she was a horrible senshi.

"Shi--"

Valhalla nearly jumped when a voice spoke up and a girl leapt down next to him and he stared at her with wide, surprised eyes. It wasn't his fault, though! He was still pumped up on adrenaline and he hadn't been paying attention to energy signals. She'd more or less popped out of thin air.

She didn't feel like anyone who might be out to hurt him, though, and he quickly relaxed a bit, looking her over and trying to decide if he recognized her. They certainly had never met before, but he couldn't remember if she'd been in any of the group fights or not. Those turned into blurred messes, anyway...

"Oh, yeah, I should be fine," he finally said, glancing down at his arm and moving his hand to show her. It wasn't too deep, but it hadn't been a clean cut, and if he hadn't discovered that he now healed rather quickly, he might have been worried about scarring. "Claws," he explained rather lamely. Of course it was claws. Or teeth. What else was new in fighting youma?

"I'm Valhalla... of Jupiter," he introduced, holding out his hand to offer to shake, but he retracted it as soon as he realized that it was covered in drying blood. Yeah, that wasn't sanitary.

Flora didn't exactly apologize for shocking him. In fact, it kind of surprised her that she had shocked him; they had to be alert at all times in their job, after all. Constant vigilance and all that. It wasn't exactly something she could lecture him on though, considering her poor performance at patrolling these days.

"Ah, so you're a Knight!" She said, looking delighted at this confirmation. "I'm Super Sailor Flora... of the Zodiac Court." It seemed proper to introduce herself this way, since Knights kind of belonged to their Courts? Like how Lemuria was of Neptune. "Senshi of Spring, to be exact." She couldn't very well forget that, or he might, like all others, misinterpret that her sphere was that of flowers.

"You should probably get that washed." She added, peering at his wound. One of the things about being a Senshi was that they would all slowly learn how to get better at first aid, especially when they had to hide injuries from the people around them.

"Zodiac Court...?" he repeated curiously, unable to stop himself. He'd never heard of a Zodiac Court before. He stared at her for a few more moments, before glancing down at his arm as she pointed it out to him.

"Ah, yeah... I'll do it once I get home," he mumbled, but his thoughts were still distracted by her past comment. "What do you mean Zodiac Court...? I mean... no offense, but I've never heard of 'spring' or 'flora' being part of a Zodiac. I could be wrong, though," he quickly added, not wanting to upset her unintentionally. "A Senshi of Spring, huh...? Does that mean there were other seasons, too? Oh, and yeah... I'm a Knight... er... page if you want to be specific," he rambled in his curiosity and excitement, but for what he was excited, he wasn't exactly sure.

He wasn't the best knight, he was sure. He was much too curious about this strange world he'd suddenly found himself in, and he'd been told on more than one occasion that he needed to be more careful about who he decided to trust. But this Senshi seemed okay, right...? She was friendly and showed concern, so it was okay. Right??

"You've meet knights before...? Camelot, maybe? Everyone I run into seems to know him," he went on, running down the list of knights and senshi he knew. People seemed to flock to Camelot because of his age. With age comes experience, or something like that.

"Well, I am technically a Handmaiden of the Zodiac Princess Chronos." Flora explained patiently. After all, she had been content skipping about assuming that she was a White Moon Senshi for several months, with no inkling that the Princess she served was not Serenity. "Princess Chronos is the Princess of the Zodiacs, Lady of the Seasons, you see, so the Season Senshi are part of the Court as well. The only one we haven't found is Autumn though..." She trailed off, a small frown playing on her lips at that thought, which she quickly brushed away.

"I've met another page before. He's of Neptune. There weren't pages or knights a few years back, so I'm not very familiar with the whole thing." She laughed, then added. "But you guys are not with Chaos, so it's all good." There had been many unfamiliar things to face in their line of work, after all, and as long as it was good news, Flora would roll with it.

"I think the Princess mentioned meeting a Camelot before? I haven't though." Probably because she was absolutely terrible at patrolling. Absolutely. Terrible.

"Handmaiden..." he repeated, trying the title out for himself, but quickly shut his mouth for fear of sounding like an idiot. Or a parrot.

Seasons and signs of the Zodiac were all part of the Zodiac court, huh...? It sounded strangely familiar to him, to have various people from the same "group" come together, although he doubted he was hardly the same. Besides, the Zodiacs had a princess, so of course that was going to be much more official, right?

"Neptune?" he repeated once more, before rolling his eyes at himself and turning his head to stare up at the starless city sky above. "There are a handful of us now, but yes, Camelot's a good guy." Well, obviously he was a good guy, otherwise she wouldn't have made the comment that they weren't with Chaos...

"So what do we do...?" he wondered out loud after a while. "We're awakened as knights or senshi... and then we're thrown into this war... But there's no end in sight, is there...? Has there been any attempts at peace talks...? Coming up with some kind of truce?"

Because that would be nice and diplomatic... if both sides were willing... and it didn't help that the senshi side seemed to be a bunch of misfits with no real collective goals.
