It would be ok, Right?
Sure she was certain of it.
Her brother would not mind if she randomly popped over in to his dorm.... tree climbing being something she is still not good at. He mentioned not popping in while in powered form to her, not wanting her Aura to be there and SUDDENLY gone. She thought it made sense.... maybe. He never said she could not visit at all!
So instead she was there. Wearing a white Tshirt with a rainbow on it, and regular blue jeans. Stretching across the limb... she hoped she had the right window.
Sabine lightly knocked on it. She should have known Zac would have left it bolted. She chewed her lip thoughtfully, just now realizing that he might just not even be home. Did she fall once from this tree already for nothing?

The curtain twitched for a moment, just a gentle movement of the cloth that gave nothing more away than that there was ‘someone’ home. It was swept back a moment later and the window slid upward in haste. “Inside…come on…” He hissed quietly trying to be sure she wasn’t seen or lusted after. Foolish thought most likely. There was a nasty bruise spreading over his cheek that hadn’t been there after the mission. Not so bad at least as Evers at least. “Are you alright?” He asked as she entered. “What’s wrong?” Something had to be wrong for her to risk coming rather than calling…right?

Looking down at the ground, she groaned a little... figuring from the lack of movement at first there was no one home. She began to back up a little, not looking forward to the trip back down, when the window slid open. A rather undignified meep, and a moment of regaining balance before she tumbled to the earth... she scutted inside the window like it was the last escape on earth.
Sabine landed on the ground crouching. One knee pinned to the floor, one in the air, she turned around and shivered a bit. "No offense but... Neeeever climbing that again if i can help it." At least not in her powered form... somehow acrobatics in powered form she was less afraid of.
Looking up guilty, she pushed her bottom lip out, a silent pout, before looking away. ".... i was worried, Zac. You have been quiet recently and...well." Pushing herself to her legs, she re composed herself warily looking at him. "After recent... happenings, i was worried about you. Wanted to check up on you." And his mental state, but she left that unsaid. He had been tense right afterwords. Maybe space was what he needed... but right now her eyes were on his face. The red head reached a hand out, fingers hovering over the spot on his face. Did she miss a bruise so bad from the last mission? "Did Gunn do this to you?" A whisper, a faint brush of voice. No one could listen through the walls and hear those words.

A small laugh and he shook his head at her. Concerned for him, that scrap of Beth remained and it was at once beautiful and…tragic. “I’m alright… and… no Gunn didn’t do that, she tried rather hard to be sure but this was just, a difference of opinions.” He did something he seldom did. Moving forward to give her a hug. “Thank you.”
He was proud of her for taking the risk, the initiative and the drive it had needed. He should tell her, he should let her know he was walking a fine line so she could put distance between them if it came down to it. He didn’t want her to share any fate he brought upon himself. Not Beth… not… ‘Sabine’.
Probably he was over reacting, things would settle and that would be the end of it but he –should- tell her, he just wasn’t sure he could. Not yet…

Proof enough that she was not used to his touch was the expression that made the girls eyes grow wide. Green orbs greeted his eyes, though he could not see. Tension eased out of her shoulders in a gentle sweep, as she wrapped her arms around him as well to return the gesture. A squeeze later, she stepped back out of his embrace, smiling softly as she looked onto his face once more.
"..What then? What caused this?" Her words chimed, if anyone was listening through the walls it would be apparent that there was a female in the room too. She dared to actually touch the bruise this time, even if her touch was still feather light. "I will kill whomever did this to you." Oh, Beth was still there... but 'Sabine' was a new and ever present.
"What happened Zac? Even i can tell something is bothering you."

He flinched slightly at her touch, and made a visible effort so that he would not draw away on pure impulse. There at least was the familiar aversion to contact, as though somehow people might find themselves in ‘too deep’, too ‘familiar’, even her.
“A difference of opinion, and you will not kill them.” He said earnestly. “It’s just my cheek…we talked, WOLFRAMITE, will be fine, and so shall I.” He motioned to the bed across from him inviting her to sit. “Always…always be careful who you’re offering to kill, alright?” He said looking at her more like a parent than a keeper. “Promise me that, that you will be careful and take care of yourself.”
He hadn’t answered her question, and it wasn’t utterly new for him to ask this of her but perhaps, perhaps he was more adamant than normal.

The way he said it, the way she blinked to show confusion, the more he stared... "...Ladon did that?" She cocked her head, wondering how Wolfam could do such a thing. Sure they failed but... it was not only Zacs fault, they ALL failed him. So why did he not hit everyone?
It was not right.
"I will not kill him but... i do need to talk with him." She said, not really answering the promise he was asking from her.
Turning she walked a little across the room, and sat where he had motioned. She could not blame him from wanting space between them, but it still made her wary. They both had the same flesh and blood running in their veins, and yet...
"...Zac." She looked up, not realizing she was watching the floor. "You know... you taught me something that i am not even sure you realize you did." Shifting uncomfortably, she sooted back some on the bed. Her feet did not even reach the floor. "When i first.... awoke, i guess is the term. In the sea of black, you came out and stood in front of me and told me three things. Firstly... that i was a senshi and i did bad things. Secondly... that we were in the negaverse. Lastly, that you were my brother." She paused, breathing in to collect her own thoughts. "I must admit, the first two made me question at first. No longer do i, but i knew from the very beginning i was senshi. Just... a feeling."
Bright green eyes looked, making sure to collect his gaze. It was a rare moment when Sabine found herself this serious...she hoped he would not brush off what she was to tell him. "Deep down, when you told me we were related... even if it was just words at first and it took some time to register." Placing a hand on her chest she breathed slowly, her words coming out as barely more than a whisper. "Something here, right here, i felt something. It was very similiar to the feeling of knowing i was...senshi. Very similar. I could not explain it, i just knew. I knew you were not lying to me."
"...So. You taught me to follow my feelings, follow my instincts. My point is." She motioned with a sigh. "....I am getting a feeling like you are hiding something from me, right now. I don't exactly know why but. The way you are acting, it feels like like that... an act. It is sending off some warning bell deep inside. I do not know you, in this life, the way i used to..." Of course she was relating back to when the was 'Beth'. "I may not be the same person, but she IS here. Whomever she was, she is still in here somewhere. She is telling me that something is wrong..."
She let those last few words drift off into the room, she was looking at Zac... her brother. Flesh of her flesh. She wanted to know what was bothering him, but even if he did not tell her.. She wanted him to know that she could tell something was bothering him.

“Sabine…” He said with an odd tone in his voice, like something inside twisted and hurt. “Sabine… you are that very same person, in all the ways it counts most. You are the good part of her, the part that I couldn’t stand to leave in THEIR hands.”
How rare was it to hear such open raw honesty from him. There was no mincing of words or carefully picking and choosing them. It was just Zac, strangely emotional and exposed. It made him seem smaller and perhaps a little uncertain.
“If I’m hiding something then it’s because… as your Brother I think it’s better that I do, never because I don’t trust you, not because I –can’t- tell you or don’t think you’ll know or understand. It’s just how things have to be for now…alright?” He turned and made himself busy, gathering up a handful of notebooks and handed them to her.
“Here… I have an assignment for you. Ever has some of these, I want you both to learn to read them…. I realized with the BMC that, there is a very strong chance that we can loose strong people still. I knew it before but I didn’t –understand- it. I think I do now… are you all right with that? I want you to try on your own at first… but you can work WITH him if you need to. I think you are both…capable of this.”

Something cold passed by her eyes. It was there and gone within a moment, but she did her best to brush it off. That was a conversation for another time... another day. How could she tell her brother now, when he put so much feeling into his beliefs, that she felt as if something ELSE resided in her as well. The old her was there... but something new too. While separate, they both needed each other.
Chaos was a part of her now.
She would let her brother think of what he wanted, so when he commented on her still being her old self, and of him hiding things, she just nodded. "I trust you Zac, i know if it was important you would tell me." Would he hide things to protect her...?
Standing up the red head made her way towards him, eying the bounty within his arms. Notebooks? Tentatively, she grabbed at one.. and flicked it open. Narrowing her eyes she squinted at the jumbles of text. ".... Code?" It was the only word said, but it was enough to let the world know she at least had the common sense to tell chicken scratch from code.
"...You want me to learn to read your notebooks?"

He watched that look in her eyes and his mouth became a thin line… he glanced away and breathed deep and even the air for a moment tasted bitter. “Alright… not exactly the same, but the change began with them… with what they taught you to do.” He murmured.
No…another voice whispered inside his head. You changed her, you brought her into this because you couldn’t stand to leave her to die at your hands or anyone else. And it was true… He’d as good as killed the girl he grew up with and created…this. A doll, a shell of what she was struggling to some new and altered life like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis.
“Yes… I want you to learn to read them; I want you to learn to understand everything that I have there. Even the civilian information is useful.” He’d taken precautions of course. All the information that had once been there in regards to ‘Beth’ had been long since removed and burned, the whole notebooks in fact re-written and the old ones burned so that no trace of pen pressed to paper remained to be discovered.
And there were notes… notes at the end of them regarding an overview of what had transpired in his Last meeting with Queen Beryl. “I want you to start at the front…don’t skip the code evolves. Am I clear?” He pressed.
It was half a lie, the evolutions were minor, serving mostly to index rank and power ‘roots’ so that he could organize senshi into more finite categories. A handful of hen scratching’s about potential ways that they could be …imitated for training.
The notes that were most important waited at the end… just in case.
“It’s up to the two of you to learn this so that the art doesn’t die…”

"Dont give me that tone Zac..." She lifted a finger, and poked him in the chest. "its that same time you gave last time you were sad about something with me. Please, dont be sad ok? I am who i am, all we can do is move forward."
With that she hoped to end the subject... she did not want him sad anymore. So, instead she turned her attention to the books.
"...I guess it would be too much to ask for a hint?" She grinned, flipping through the books to see any sort of pattern. It was jumbled... would probably take some time. Time was one thing she did have though.
"Pfff.. Zac you know darn well the art will never die. Because you, you will not be kicking the bucket any time soon." Her voice started off being sweet and innocent... but the end of it was more or less tapered off until it was seriously, her eyes glancing up from the notebook.

“You know what I mean…” He said half scolding. “You also know very well that we do not know if I, or you…or anyone else will be ‘kicking buckets’ in the near future. The BMC is alive and well and I –need- to take that into account. These papers ARE our information database. This code IS the encryption. Until such a time as I can do better than that I need ‘back ups’. You are going to be one.”
He took it back briefly and flipped to page 10, there was the page on Ever, aka Ilmenite… “If you can figure out this one, I think it will make the rest easier. This is Evers page, you lived with him you could likely add to it.” He tapped the page. “That’s your hint.”

"Ill take what i can get." She smiled and flipped the corner of the page so she would not lose the spot. Hopefully, he wouldnt mind. Either way, the deed was done.
"Though i must admit i dont know what else i would add. Like where he keeps his alcohol or something. You've been in his house, not exactly a lot to hide."
She could accept the back up reasoning, but if he even so much as HINTED at dying she was going to drag him back asap. "Did you want me to start to take notes? Or just... i dont know. Try and figure the code out first?"

“Take notes, but keep them safe… personality is a note, habits are a note, EVERYTHING is a note.” He said emphatically. “Each little jot here on the next two pages covered highlights, good memory is a definite necessity but that comes with practice, learning to try and find the right chain of events to trigger an accident is FAR harder, but you’re learning this for a greater good not personal vendettas so don’t worry about chaining events.”
“Just… learn it ok?”

"Ill put them in my desk where you rigged it up... That way if you need them, you know where they are." And he also would know how to deactivate them. She cradled the books close to her chest, holding on to them. "You know this is the first actual 'order' you have given me. Sure... we were involved in other things together, but you have never 'ordered' me to do something. It makes me smile, makes me feel like something i can do is actually needed."
She nodded a few times, looking away. "I will do my best. Though if i have a question about a mark, like something confuses me that neither Ever or i can get, may i ask?"
