 Moon moved silently through the night his glow cutting a path around him. He wasn't afraid of being alone, but it wasn't something he always enjoyed either. Moon's mind wandered to that cheerful mare that had met so many nights ago. He liked her a lot and she knew his name, which was important to a soquili who could not speak. Sometimes he wondered why he let her part from him. It was like love at first sight oh why had he not figured out a way to tell her he wanted to see her again? Would he ever see the beautiful mare again?
Moon swung his lantern in his mouth from side to side feeling full of sorrow at this moment. The small bell tied in it chimed lightly it was the only sound Moon could make and it soothed his worries away most of the time. It just didn't seem as sweet as the green mare's voice today.

 Aika was out on her own now, it was a big wide world and she had no idea where she was going, only one goal stuck out in her mind clearly. Find Moon. She had been very comfortable around the silent flutter and his pretty lanterns, he was very shy, yes, but he seemed to be much more...
She smiled to herself and nearly pranced as she walked, twittering a tune and enjoying the merry clink of her jewlery as she walked along. Night had fallen but the moon rode high in the sky, fall would be here soon, and with it, the harvest moon~ it always reminded her of him.
Just then, the little device near her throat glowed and made a sort of bell like chime, She stopped and swiveled her neck to look at it oddly. The little thing hadn't done much recently, it was mostly silent, she figured it had run out of energy, or whatever it was the thing ran on. Why now?
And like some force somewhere had read her mind, a chiming was heard a short distance off...very faint, but clear to her ears. It wasn't an echo, it wasn't even the same sort of chime...she remembered the last time she had heard that...Moon!
She fluttered her wings excitedly and took off running, hopping over rocks and going through long grasses with abandon. "Please please pleaaaase let it be him!" she murmured to herself, hoping she could find the stange golden flutter she had met before on a night much like this...

Moon's ears perked of late things traveling fast in the night had been in danger or was danger. With a flutter of his wings his lanterns dimmed and the glow that seemed to come from his very skin dimmed as well. The small flutter stallion stepped behind a bush about his same height and peered out from it. What ever it was would not take him by surprise for sure. The wind picked up suddenly making the bell in his lantern still chime and he cursed mentally fearing it would give his position away.

Aika peered through the darkness, she was very much a daydwelling bird, and was rarely out of her "nest" at this time, she would at least be with her herd...but she was far from home now, out on her own and on a long awaited journey. But she was very sure of what she heard, at least she was kinda sure about it...She perked her ears forward as far as they would go, the little square of green light from the device at her throat lit only her in the growing darkness. The wind whistled through the foliage and suddenly she heard it, a chime, the same chime. " Hello?" she chirped into the dark, there seemed to be a light...something a little further up...maybe...just maybe...

Moon knew that voice, he knew he did! Was it her the sweet mare he had met so many nights ago? Could the spirits really be so kind as to grant him a meeting with her again? Or did some cruel beast of the night play with his mind in such a way to lure him out. If they even be capable of doing such a thing.
No matter the cost did not out way the possible rewards that could be seeing the mare he was so enchanted with. Moons moved forwards around the bush and recognized the glowing of the strange tiny lantern thing Akia possessed. With a flutter of his wings the flutter and his lanterns lit the area. Before he knew what he was doing his hooves were carrying him with a sense of urgency towards Akia's green square of light.

Something moved out in the darkness, though she couldn't make it out at first, she saw a soft golden glow, and then more lights trailing after it. She peered out, ears pricked, unafraid of spooks in the darkness, since she really hoped it wasnt a spook at all...She wanted it to be that golden stallion with the shy demeanor, Moon..
She heared hooves and the device at her throat made a answering chime, as if it knew he was coming. " Moon?" she questioned into the night, hoping he would come into her circle of light soon enough.

Not only was it Akia, but she remembered his name and called to him. Was she looking for him? Oh how he wished to call back to her, but instead he picked up his pace until his golden like mixed with the green light of her's.
Moon smiled hooking his specially lantern on his string before approaching her closer. He opened his mouth as though he had forgotten he could not speak to her. Which he indeed had, but only for a moment before his jaw snapped shut and he bite it slightly angry he could not tell her how happy he was to see her again. He instead resorted to blowing the bangs from his eyes so he could truly look at her with his eyes filled with happiness so she might know just what he was thinking.

Her purple eyes glittered in the soft light, she saw him coming before he entered the circle of light she stood in. The golden stallion was exactly as she had remembered him, she longed to hear his voice, but she knew he didn't have one to hear. She smiled brightly at him, so happy she had found him that tears tickled their way down her purple cheeks. " Hey Moon~" she said, willing her voice to to waver on her " i've been looking for you..."

Aika had been looking for him? What joyous news that was on the flutters ears. She was crying, why was she crying? He tucked his lantern away before reaching up to the slightly taller mare to touch his muzzle to her tears as if to wipe them away.
Moon tilted his head back so his bangs fell away from his face so that his bright orange eyes might hold her fully for the first time in a long time. So many thing he wanted to say and hoped they conveyed through his eyes. If he knew what love was he was pretty sure this was it. Even though they hadn't spent, but one night before this together, he seemed to mean as much to her as she meant to him. "I love you." He mouthed hoping she could read his lips. Was that to strong was it the right emotion to convey right now? He wasn't sure, but it was what was on his mind.

Aika smiled as he wiped her tears away, the gesture was so sweet, it was hard not to cry new tears. She gazed into his uncovered eyes, she had never seen them before, they were gorgeous, like captured amber. She watched him , her cheeks hot as he mouthed that he loved her, and her heart sang with it, she felt hot tears pour afresh down her purple cheeks. She beamed at him and managed to get out the words they both needed to hear.
" I love you too Moon"
She hadn't expected it, she hadn't known what love was before, but if this wasn't love, then what on earth was?
This was it, to her, he was the one, and she hoped it would always stay that way. Always.
