In a rare occurence, Captain Mica was not stalking the streets of a disreputable neighborhood. Last she had checked, her favorite territory had two gangs engaged in a shoot-out. Having no desire to test herself against meatheads with guns, Mica was forced to check out the nightlife in other parts of the city. That's how she wound up at a mall, hoping to run across some nightime security or mall cops. She hadn't found any just by wandering the perimeter of the building, which left the parking garage.

Really, these affluent neighborhoods had too many lights, too many pairs of curious eyes, and too many security cameras. She knew that secruity wouldn't be able to recognize her in this form, but instinct had her ducking under every one she encountered.

Reaching the parking garage at last, Mica began checking the ground floor for easy marks.
