The stretching drought has put a strain on the Bonelands.
As a result, the Abazingeli have come up with their own, intuitive solutions. All lions rotate guard, cub-sitting, and hunting duties throughout the day, but it is no secret that a few lions are stronger and more adept at certain tasks. In particular, it was found that vulture’s could be caught and convinced, in one way or another, to share information.
A few lioness’ were more than a little successful in this. They managed to catch vultures without breaking their wings, and convince them to have a tentative partnership that was mutually beneficial to both parties.
Now, Vultures are beginning to be considered ‘acceptable’ companions, and although they are not revered, their use is being recognized. Those lions who have obtained vulture-partners are used as scouts and seekers. The two names sound very similar, but have extremely different roles and require very different lions. The Ranks Cinga | (pl. Cinga)
The name literally means, to look around. Cinga can be young, old, or anywhere inbetween as they are not required to travel long distances. The majority of the work is done by their vulture-partner, who uses his flight to search for locations of water and movements of prey-groups. Those who are leaving for hunts will often check in with a Cinga before they leave, to garner information that may aid them. During droughts, Cinga focus on discovering water and may travel small distances outside of the pride with their vulture-partner in search of stable water sources both above and below-ground. In exchange for their work, the vulture is protected by the lioness when it feeds off of dead carcasses and is guaranteed a full belly. <-- Both slots filled
Enda | (pl. Aenda)
Like their Zulu name suggests, these lions travel far. Because of this, they are always lionesses (or lions) in their prime age. They must also have a particularly strong parternship with their vultures to do so. Aenda are the scouts and diplomats of the Bonelands pride. They are in charge of scouting lands beyond the pridal territory in case the pride must move. The Enda and their vulture-companion bring in information of traveling rogues or prides that may be a threat. They may be gone for weeks to months at a time, and so are not usually expected to have cubs. Aenda must be able to hunt for themselves, and be of a disciplined mind. They are often tasked with interacting with prides the Boneland’s may come in contact with. They will sometimes organize trades, and establish either good or bad relationships with other lion groups. These lions may even spend a few months in other pridal lands, learning culture and becoming friends, before returning to the Bonelands. Some, in fact, never come back. Because of the constant distance from the pride, adolescent (and even adult males) are allowed to become Enda instead of being kicked out of the pride. To do so, they must first prove themselves by obtaining a loyal vulture companion. A feather is taken from the vulture, and a tooth from the lion (an extremely painful process), and traded to one another to signify companionship. For this reason, Enda-lions and their vulture companions are easily recognized by their feather and tooth.

Obtaining one of these Ranks If you create an RP related to the metaplot, all players in that RP will have their lions considered for one of the above ranks. Ranks will be rolled via obtained tickets. If you don't want your character to have one of these ranks, you can still get a bonus for starting and completing RPs! It's a surprise, but I can assure you there will be things.
A started RP will earn everyone who posted in the RP 1 ticket!
A Self-RP with 1000 words or more will earn you 2 tickets!
A finished RP (5 posts by each person) will earn everyone in the RP 5 tickets.
A finished assigned metaplot RP will earn you 3 tickets (You may use RPs from week 1)
Please post all RPs here using the following form. If SRPs are submitted, they MUST already be complete and have an ending. Once you complete an RP, please edit your post with the word finished in bolded red.
Note: Unfinished Official Metaplot RPs DO NOT COUNT. A "started RP" has to be your own RP, that was NOT assigned by the mule. All RPs, however, are welcome to be involved with metaplot events, and you are free to start your own side-plots.
You may start and post as many RPs as you’d like. However, only 2 started RPs will be counted at a time. If you have 3 started RPs going, only two will be counted until one is finished. If you still want to RP, but your RP partner does not wish for a rank-change, you can exempt the character from rank-rolls. [b]Rank Me![/b]

Tickets! As of now, one Enda rank is available, and two Cinga ranks. If your character is rolled, a vulture familiar will be colored for them. The Enda rank will receive a feather item and a vulture with a tooth-item.
All Lions with Rank Exemptions will be rolled for a surprise. <3

Since you both are the only two applying for Cinga positions for this week of the meta, your two lioness' will be the first official Cinga. Here are their vultures. Feel free to RP/SRP them catching their vultures/convincing them to work with your lioness if you'd like.
