B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ -Ten Years Later- Braxton "Black" Thames was sitting in his office looking over some paperwork for the company. Everything was quiet save for the ticking of the clock, shuffling of papers, and the shuffling footsteps of the mansion employees. Sitting his papers down and rubbing his eyes, the tall and rather imtimadating male leaned back into his chair, propping his feet up on his desk. Crossing his arms over his chest as he looked out the window, Braxton thought about his pack and then his thoughts moved to his family. Being so deep in his thoughts, the werewolf jumped at the feeling of his cellphone vibrating against his chest. Pulling out his phone and opening his mouth to say "hello", Braxton had to pull the device away from his ear because of the screaming. "Mr. Thames you must come to the school at once!! Trystan has started another one of his fights and your daughter is about to join in on it!! You must come here at once!! Anoura Thames no!!" Hearing the call be disconnected, Braxton let out a heavy sigh and pushed himself away from his desk. Just great. Pinching the bridge of his nose and growling, the werewolf slammed open his office doors and started storming down the halls.
The servants quickly dodged out of the way, not wanting to be in the man's path, and quickly looking down at the floor. Like he would turn his anger on the workers but most of them feared the man which Black liked. Scenting the air, trying to find his mate, Braxton looked around before answering his phone again. "Mr. Thames I would like for you to know that we finally seperated your children. However, Trystan decided that it was right to elbow one of the teachers in the nose. We hope to see you shortly." Giving his thanks and hanging up, Braxton let out a loud growl before throwing his phone as far and as hard as he could. "SON OF A b***h!!! Of course he would have to start something when I'm trying to ******** work!!" Hearing a window crash along with his phone clattering against the ground, the Alpha wolf let out another growl and scented the air once more. He needed to find Lina before he broke something else besides a window and a phone. Finally catching onto her scent Black found her lovely smell all the way to the library. Slamming open the doors and bringing in a dark and very tense aura, Braxton had his fists clenched at his sides. Looking around the room, the male found his mate sitting at the window with book in hand. Most of the time the sight of Lina calmed him but right now... Well he wasn't happy.
"My love. We must go to the school to pick up our children. We must hurry because I have many things I must look over for the company." His shoulders were tense as he walked over to the woman he loved and gently took her hand. "I wouldn't hurry you like this but the company party is coming up and I need to go over some figures before I start planning." Pulling to her chest and placing a quick kiss to her lips, Braxton lead his mate to the awaiting car, and then climbed in telling the driver to head to the school. The entire drive consisted of Braxton with his arms crossed and him growling every second. When they had finally arrived, and the door was opened for them, he took Lina's hand and led her inside of the building and into the oh so familiar office. Opening the door with a growl and closing once Lina walked inside, Braxton looked over at Trystan and Anoura who was wearing ripped clothes and had dirty faces. Narrowing his eyes and giving them a look which read "You're both in incredible trouble", Braxton stood behind Lina's chair and listened to the principal go on and on about their son and daughter's fighting history.
"We are both aware of it so there is no need to ramble on about it. They are both in trouble yes and their punishment should not be suspension considering children enjoy that freedom. I say that you make them serve their punishment here making them help work with the school, and as for the nose that Trystan broke, I will pay for it. Now if this meeting is finished, I would like to gather our children and take them home. Please call for my son Dimitri." The look on the woman's face was pure outrage that Braxton had spoke out and gave the children their punishment himself but she was not a fool to argue with the man. Calling Dimitri to the office and leaving when the last triplet came to them, Braxton gave his thanks and followed his family back to the car. Settling inside and telling the driver to go back home, Braxton looked over at Lina and then glared over at Trystan and Anoura. "You both know that you are in terrible trouble but seeing as I'm beyond angry and would probably over punish you... You're mother will decide but understand this. If I should hear of another fight like this when I'm incredibly busy with work, then you both will grounded for an entire year and will be at home working!" Growling to prove his point, Braxton crossed his arms over his chest and remained quiet for the rest of the trip.
Once they were all back home, Braxton stormed up to his office, slamming the doors shut behind him, and then returned to his work. Dimitri coming up beside his mother, grabbed her hand and then looked up at her with a worried frown. "Surely father was joking about them being grounded for that long, right?" Anoura and Trystan looked incredibly worried but Trystan held an angry glint in his eyes. "This isn't right! I didn't even start the stupid fight!!" Anoura only growled and wished that she could punch her brother. "Yeah but you didn't have to jump in and then break Mr. Thomas' nose!" Glaring at one another before they started their own fist fight, Dimitri sighed and shook his head. "Mom if it's alright can I go on inside?" Once he was granted premission, Dimitri ran on inside leaving his siblings with their upset mother. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

It was terribly quiet, and a Miss Lina Thames had comfortably found herself in her favorite place to read in the entire house. The window was open slightly, allowing a gentle breeze to flit into the house's library. It was a lovely room, and Lina found herself curled into a chair reading one of her favorite books. The Color Purple to be exact. While it was old literature, Lina loved the struggle of the main character, as she fought not only her status given to her by the outside world, but the status she had given to herself while she lived her life. All the struggles that she faced only sharpened her to make her a stronger, and better person. It was only natural to Lina, that she quite enjoyed the book. Coming from a background like her own, Lina hadn't thought much of herself before her mate had found her. She'd been very much like the main character Celie. Alone, and confused about herself. It took the stirring events of her life to bring her to the right path. Lina was now a mother of three, happily mated, and living a grand life. Well, most days anyways.
When Lina registered the sound of shattering glass, followed by the hollow sound of plastic hitting the ground, Lina bit her lip. She knew it had been too quiet of a day. Her children had been too quiet at school lately to accompany the ruination of her moments of silence. With a soft sigh, Lina carefully slipped a finger into the collar of her turtle neck. It was a bit hot, and she sensed there would be another sort of heatwave coming at her from the house beyond. the stifled curses and then, the slamming of the library doors had Lina looking at her mate. Her gaze has shifted from the window, and the book that now rested in her lap, to the angry male that stood seething in the doorway. It was certain that her mate had gotten bad news about something, and Lina had a feeling it was their children. When that fact was confirmed, Lina gave a little sigh, and ran her hands down her outfit to smooth is out. She barely had enough time to snag her purse from the table nearby, before she was pulled against Black's chest, and kissing her mate gently. Then she was wrenched away towards a waiting car.
With a sigh, Lina shook her head, watching Black as he remained tense and basically irate the entire ride to the school. There was even growling involved. Lina tried to be neutral, but she was terribly curious how bad her children had been fighting this time to get their father to growl and look bitter the entire ride to the school. Once they had arrived, Lina was helped inside by Black. Trystan and Anoura were already seated, and Lina took the seat that was still open. Hearing the words from her mate, Lina stared openly at Black. She couldn't believe the fact that he was telling the principle how the punishment would be handled. She shook her head, and put a hand to her forehead. The sooner they would escape the school, the better things would be. With the soft chewing upon her lip while they awaited Dimitri to be called up, Lina worried about the punishment that would be delivered.
Once all the children were rounded up, everyone went to the car. With everyone in the car, Lina hugged Dimitri gently to her, before looking at her other children. It wasn't as though she loved them less, but she was apologizing for the possible yelling that would occur in the car on the ride home. Surprisingly, there wasn't much, but the punishment was left to be decided by Lina herself. A soft gasp was sounded at this but Lina just shook her head, trying to clear up the anger that was already in the car. When they reached home, Black was quick to escape the car. LIna winced at the sound of the slam but shook her head at her children as they got out of the car and moved to go inside. Hearing Dimitri's question Lina closed her eyes. "I'm sure your father was just exaggerating. He is quite upset." Listening to the bickering between Trystan and Anoura, Lina shook her head. this would not continue. With Dimitri's second question, lina nodded and shooed the boy off, so that she could give her focus to the more violent of her children.
"Stop it. Both of you." She said it swiftly, with a raised tone, making sure their attention would be caught. She crossed her arms over her chest and then looked at both of her children. "I'm sure what punishment I give you, will be nothing compared to what you father will have thought up. So listen, you're both going to be cleaning all the Mansion, including the bathrooms. Everything is to be spotless. No breaks, and don't let me hear you fighting. If I hear any, Ill extend the sentence. Got it?" She waited for their acceptance, even though it was after the whines, and before the angry glances, they both agreed. Then, they were shooed off into the mansion as well to fetch supplies and begin their punishment, and Lina was free to go and find her mate.
Of course, where else would he have gone, but back to his office? Lina knocked gently on the door before opening it and stepping inside. She moved towards the desk carefully, and quietly. She gave a gentle smile to her mate, hoping that this simple expression could somehow improve his mood. "Do you need any help, love? Filing? Themes? Anything I can do to help you out?" Lina wasn't stupid. She had computer skills, and wasn't afraid of making phone calls if it were necessary. She simply wanted Black in a better mood. She hated seeing him irritated and stressed. She wanted to do everything she could to prevent such emotions form coming onto his plate. "our troublemakers are going to be occupied for a while. And every floor in the mansion is going to have a bit of an extra shine to it." She spoke it casually, but hoped that he would agree with her punishment. She didn't need any arguments between herself and Black. She knew he was stressed enough."You showed me Faith is not Blind I don't need wings to help me fly Miracles happen once in a while When you believe..."

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ His mind was swimming with so many different thoughts that he couldn't even force himself to look at the papers which littered his desk. Instead, Braxton started to think back to when his children started to act like this. Of course Dimitri was a good boy and made sure to stay out of trouble, but whatever trouble he avoided it seemed like Trystan picked up. Then Anoura would try to stop him and would either just stay out of it or end up fighting like she did today. Growling and putting his face in his hands, Mr. Thames closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down. Hearing a door open and then softly close, Black picked his head up and looked over to see Lina quietly making her way to him. A grateful smile appeared on his face and he reached up to take her hand gently in his, placing a delicate kiss to her palm. Did he need help? He needed a miracle really. Letting go of her hand and turning to face his desk of paperwork, the werewolf sighed and then leaned back into his chair. He was too tired for this and he wanted to sleep, but things had to be finished!!
"I don't know how I got so behind... It seemed like this wasn't possible for me but things change over the years, and I'm not complaining... I just wished these idiots would learn how to read and decide themselves.." Picking up a folder which dealt with investments, Braxton started to open it but stopped when Lina said something about their troublemakers. Putting the folder down and pulling his mate down into his lap, a crooked smile appeared on his face a she looked down at her. "My mother made me clean this entire place once when I was young. I played a horrible trick on my teacher and she forced me to scrub the floors. However she felt that I had been punished enough when I finally made my way to the stairs." Placing his forehead on hers, Black closed his eyes and he inhaled Lina's scent. "As much as I would like to continue this, I need to get to my work." Placing a longing kiss to his mate's lips, Braxton helped her stand to her feet and then started reading through the many different papers. "Most of these just need to be read and signed. Just improvements for things that need to be okayed by me, and the party is going to be oversees this year. I figured that we deserved to go to the tropics and considering it will be near the night of our anniversary I called Dad and asked if he would watch the kids." Though the werewolf really didn't want to leave his children behind... Braxton knew that they would be safe with the pack patrolling at all times and as long as they were with his dad then everything would be alright.
Besides, Nate had moved to the city and started his own career as a model or something like that. The man was too busy to come back to the country and he decided that himself and Lina needed some alone time. "We never get to be alone for our anniversary so I'd thought it would be a nice surprise. We can do all sorts of things without the worry of being disturbed." Giving Lina a seductive smile, Black chuckled softly before returning to his paperwork. He was glad that Lina was in here with him. It made him feel a bit better even though he was still agitated. Sighing heavily and shaking his head, he pushed some hair from his face and forced himself to keep working. However, Lina was proving to be quite the little distraction and soon Braxton found himself watching her with hungry eyes.
Pushing himself away from his desk and moving to stand behind her, he wrapped his an arm around her slim waist and pulled her against him. Lowering his lips to her ear, the werewolf licked the shell of it. "I find myself incredibly hungry right now... Do you care to sate this intense hunger for me, love?" Growling against her soft skin, Braxton moved his lips down her neck nipping the skin softly. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

She worried about Black when he was behind. It was what she was supposed to do, and no matter of assurance would be good enough, unless it was the truth, and Black was caught up again. He released her hand, and looked to the paperwork stacked upon his desk rather haphazardly. She scrunched her nose up a bit, gently grabbing a few pieces of paper, sorting them into their correct order and into a neat little stack. Black explained that he didn't know how he had gotten so behind. Lina frowned a bit. He was tired. She could tell this easily, and worried about Black. She wondered how long it had been since he'd come to bed. As of recently, with looking after the triplets, and flitting about to do other things, Lina hadn't been much help. As soon as she'd laid down, she had fallen into sleep. She didn't even know if her Mate had made it to bed, and she was upset with herself for being so neglectful. Not to mention, their sex life had been pretty much non-existent for a while. It was hard to move around the triplets whether they were awake or not, it seemed that there was no break for anyone.
Hearing Black explain that his mother had made him scrub the mansion floors as well, Lina smiled. His mother had stopped him at the stairs. Trystan and Anoura wouldn't be so lucky. There were two of them. They could do more then one. She snuggled gently into Black's lap further, nearly purring at the proximity. Oh, how she missed simple cuddling. Not that she ever went long without it, but it still felt lovely. His forehead upon her own. "There are two of them. I'm sure they can handle the stairs..." Lina smirked up at Black, but hearing that he had to get back to work, she knew he was right. With the kiss, dismissal came, and Lina was back on her feet, looking around the room, as Black began to sift through different papers. She reached from his side, and began straightening some of them as he explained most of them needed to be read and signed by him. Her interest piqued at the thought of going to the tropics for their anniversary. It gave Lina a smile. Certainly, she and Black had been to many nice places, but the tropics was a nice place to be. While she generally loved the cold, there was something about heat and sand that made the female want to roll over and loll about like a fat house pet. Maybe it was just the fact that a getaway meant something nice.
It didn't mean, however, that Lina liked leaving her kids at home. She would rather take them along, to know that they were safe. Scrappy as they were, they were all children. Dimitri didn't even care for the fighting, and it made Lina worry all the more for him. Each of her children had some flaw that needed fixing in the department of battle. Trystan was almost battle crazed, always wanting a fight. While Dimitri wanted no part in fighting it seemed. Anoura was somewhere in the middle, and often pulled her brothers in on schemes that normally got them into some sort of trouble. It was a recipe for disaster. The brains. The brawn. And the cunning. Ingenious the split really, but it wasn't as if Lina had dubbed each child their ability on the way out of her womb. No. She almost wished that they were infants once more. Little innocent babies, that didn't know how to fight, and had little tails that wagged about wherever they went. No. Lina didn't like to leave the kids behind with Nate about, but he hadn't tried anything recently, and seemed to be quite occupied now that he had a place in the city and a job to maintain him. Maybe he'd even found a girl that suited his fancy.
Lina smiled as she thought of all this, pulling back, around the office, to stand by the window at the side of the desk. She was simply standing in the light, when she heard the chair move back form teh desk. When Back was behind her, arm wrapped around her waist, she simply melted into him. Her head fell back agaisnt his chest, as did the rest of her body. Not that she had much choice in the matter, as she was tugged against Black anyways. She loved being held. It was true. She simply loved it. When his lips found her ear, as well as his tongue, Lina shivered. He was hungry. Just hearing it made her body feel the same. She smirked, giving a soft growl of her own, in response to Black's. As his nips began, Lina gave a soft gasp, and a little whine. He had work to do didn't he? Lots of papers to sign? He was going to be even more behind. Not to mention the kids were awake and around somewhere. She hissed softly, and moved up to her tip-toes to kiss Black's neck. "What happened to 'I need to finish my work'? I do believe it's still sitting unfinished upon your desk. But... maybe it will help you concentrate. I mean, work doesn't get done when someone's hungry, now does it?" She smirked placing another gentle kiss to Back's neck, moving a hand up to caress his cheek. Oh yes, she had to feed her hungry mate, and she needed to do it sooner then later.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A week had passed by the large formidable male sitting at his desk since the return from his company party, and Mr. Braxton Thames was still quite in shock. The party had been a huge success and he had managed to sign on three new company partners, but that had not been the main highlight of that night. Not at all.. It was like one of those fated kind of meetings that night he had seen his brother after ten years, and after laying him flat on his a** in the sand a woman came to stand in front of his brother. What was amazing was this unknown woman was trying her best to protect his dangerous brother. The man that had come after him and his family, what exactly had Nate been planning. Or at least that was what Braxton had thought. Nate had been there and so close to him and Lina but the man wasn't there to fight. His posture was one of submitting but whenever Braxton's eyes flicked over to the unknown woman, Nate tensed and narrowed his eyes in warning. It was... weird...
After all of these years, Black had been expecting Nate to attack him and fight him to the death, but it didn't end that way at all. It ended with finding out that the mystery woman was none other than his mate's sister! His beloved Lina had a sister!! Letting out sigh and rubbing his temples, Black looked down at his mountain of paperwork and let out a low growl. How could he think about work when so many things happened last week?! After that party, they hadn't seen or heard from the two so Braxton assumed that they went home where ever that might be. The werewolf couldn't help but see that his mate was worried and wanted to meet with her long lost sister again, but Black didn't know how to go about finding the pair again. Hell he wasn't all that sure what his brother did for a living! He heard something about a club but that could be anywhere in the city!! There was hundreds of clubs around the city and it would take at least three months to find Nate. What to do..
Picking up his phone and calling out to the company, Braxton spoke calmly with one of the employees who knew his family. During the phone call, the werewolf hired the man to do a different sort of job. That job being to find his brother and report back as soon as he found him. Ending the call and leaning back into his seat as he looked out his window, Black let out a sigh and thought about Lina. The poor woman was still in shock about everything, and it seemed that the more he had tried to reassure her that none of it was her fault.. Well it just seemed like his words weren't helping. Thinking quietly to himself for a few moments, the Alpha soon pushed away from his desk and stood up out of his chair. Maybe it would be best not to say anything at all? Just sit with her and cuddle with her until she felt better? That was the only thing he could think to do so walking out of his office and tracking down his mate by her scent, Black walked into the room and smiled softly at her. How he loved this woman.
Walking over to her and gently cupping her cheek before placing a gentle kiss to her forehead. Then he moved to sit beside her and pulled her into his lap, wrapping his arms around her protectively as he sat silently. He wanted to see her smile again and to laugh with him once more. Even the children were concerned and would often bring her little cakes they helped make or some flowers they picked out in the woods. Laying his cheek on the top of her head Braxton sighed softly against her head. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

That she had never gone and searched for Adrian. that she had never know Adrian even existed. Lina herself had gone through hard times, but she couldn't fathom what Adrian might have encountered. Where she had been. The trials she had faced. Once Black had found her, Lina hadn't even looked back, to try and find what had become of her mother and stepfather. That was something she should have done. She didn't care about her stepfather, but her mother's health and well being was something that Lina had truly cared about. Even though she could never forgive the woman for letting her husband tear apart their family. Health and well-being was still important. Perhaps, if Lina had given a little more thought, and not been so selfish to think of only what was in front of her, she would have noticed that she had a sister behind her. She could say that it was her concern for the twins, or for the threat of Nate. But no. It had been because Lina hadn't truly wanted to look back. she was happy in her present and she didn't want to turn her head back to the past.
The dark haired female was curled up in a sunny patch from one of the windows in the ballroom. the room was huge, and deserted. It was only used for parties. Her children would go and search for her in her more common hiding places. The library. Her bedroom she shared with Black. The living room. The indoor pool. No. Today, she was hiding out in the ballroom. Her children wouldn't come looking for her here. They were quite sweet, bringing her flowers and little cakes in the past week. She'd been out of sorts. She felt terrible about that. The past week, since she and Black had returned from the company retreat. Her children had picked up on it immediately. They'd been trying to make her smile since she'd returned, and she'd given them passing smiles. Enough so that they wouldn't fret too much about where she was staying, or where they would be able to find her next. She couldn't worry them too much. They were only little bits. Little terrors, but they were hers. Her babies. She couldn't tell them that they had an aunt who wouldn't come to visit because their aunt didn't like mommy. It was better not to mention anything, so that there weren't further questions.
Snuggling deeper into her shawl, Lina leaned up against the wall, sheltering the window. the sun was still streaming in on her skin. Her book had been lain at her feet as she'd abandoned it to think about Adrian for the countless time, as she had everyday since she'd been back. She closed her eyes against the sun streaming at her and simply basked in the warmth, lost in her own thoughts. She took in Black's scent before she heard his footsteps. She could never truly be missing. No. She would always be found. There was no way to stop being present in the house. Not that she wanted to, but she didn't want to talk about Adrian. She didn't want to continue thinking about Adrian. When Black finally reached her, she was gently kissed upon the forehead. Then, she was pulled into his lap. She opened her eyes gently, to look at her mate for a moment, before she closed them once more. She leaned agaisnt Black's chest, taking in his scent in an almost desperation. She felt his cheek being laid against her head, and the feel almost made her fall in on herself.
She trembled a bit, keeping her eyes closed, keeping herself against Black. She couldn't keep on like this. She couldn't remain cross. She needed to forget about Adrian. She almost wished she never received the knowledge that she had a sister. It would have been better for her children. her family. She brought her arms up, to lock Black's around her body. She breathed in once more, and held it, shaking against her mate. When she finally released her hold, and her breath, it was desperately, on a sound of distress. 'I can't keep up like this. I don't want to effect the kids. I just want them to be happy. I don't want them to ask questions, or know why she can't be around. If she even wants to be around. I don't want them to be disappointed by some relative they can't meet." She shook her head, and curled tighter into herself. She didn't want to be weak, but she was falling apart. She had a sister who hated her guts, because of what Nate had done. How was that her fault? What lies had she been told? There was no explaining to Adrian that Nate had done herself and Black wrong. She couldn't. She didn't know how to. She pressed herself against Black and closed her eyes. how else could she cope? B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ It killed him to see his mate in such a way. Lina had an almost lifeless aura that surrounded her, which worried him greatly. What could he do or say? It only seemed like his words troubled her even more. As he walked out of his office, Black looked in the library first and when he couldn't find her there, relying on his sense of small, the tall male closed his eyes and followed his nose.
When his hand touched a door, his pale eyes slowly opened. The ballroom? Braxton was a bit surprised but walked into the room. Pale eyes immediately locked onto his mate as soon as he entered. Lina was curled up in the window seat with a blank expression on her lovely face. His heart ached for the her and the wolf let out a low sigh. Walking to her, Braxton gently cupped her cheek before placing a tender kiss to her forehead. Taking a seat beside her, the Alpha Wolf took the small frame into his arms, craddling her to his chest. No words were needed as he let his warmth melt into her own, a low whine escaped him. Laying his head on hers Braxton just continued to rock her gently as he sat there quietly.
In a few minutes the small woman spoke and the man looked down at her. So much guilt she had and carried as well. "My Love, you couldn't search for something that you did not know even exist." Placing another gentle kiss to her forehead, Black smiled sadly at her. There was no need for Lina to feel such a way. "It is not your fauly and in my honest opinion, your sister appears to be more than capable in taking care of herself. She would frighten most men, and it is easy to see that she will not take any crap from Nate." Easily standing up with her in his arms, the werewolf gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about her, my love. She will be alright and I can promise that no harm will come to her. Now. I believe that there is a certain quiet, hidden cabin calling our names." Smiling softly ar her and cuddling her against him, Braxton tried to think of ways to cheer her up. There had t be a way to make her smile.
As he walked through the house, the wolf thought about his earlier phone call. Would the man be able to find his brother? The city was huge and it held many different clubs. Modeling agencies would also be searched, but the wolf had his doubts that Nate would be found so soon. It could take weeks or even months to find the man! There was something off about his brother as well... Something was different about him and Black wondered if the woman had something to do with it. Women never had such an affect on his brother before, wo why would this one woman make such a difference? he was intrigued and curious at the same time. It was as if Lina's bloodline sang to wolves. In the bginning, he saw his mate as a weak and fragile thing, and in a development of just one night, he fell in love with her. His sense just knew that she was perfect for him. Was it the same case for his brother?
A smile traced his lips at the thought. That woman would be the best thing to happen to Nate. Looking down at Lina, Black kissed her gently before locking his eyes with hers. " I am so lucky to have you Lina... so very lucky..." ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ It was as if Black’s hold was the only thing that was really keeping her in place. Lina was losing more of herself then normal. She was still distraught about Adrian, and worried for the girl. What if something bad happened? Where would Adrain go? Where could she turn to? She wouldn’t come here. Not after the way things had turned out on vacation, but there was a desperation in this. Where would she go? Knowing that she had a sister, and not being in regular contact with her was terrible. It was if she had taken her child and put them out in the woods, and told them to fend for themselves. It was something that she just couldn’t do. What was harder, was that Adrian had chose this path herself. She had deliberately left, after being warned. Surely, black knew his own brother better then Lina did, and even Black had given warning. But Adrian had been determined to make her own decisions. Lina couldn’t blame her. She also couldn’t help but feel like a disappointment. Adrian had been waiting her entire life for their reunion, and it’d been blow to piece by dispute between Nate and Black. Lina had no resentment towards her mate, but she could not say the same for his brother. Nate was he problem here, wasn’t he? He was the one that had brought this to a new level. It was crushing. Just as if Nate was taking another child. Only, it was someone Lina thought to be entirely her own.
When Black started speaking, telling her that she couldn’t have known Adrian was alive. That this wasn’t her fault, it only made Lina feel worse. She shook her head, and closed her eyes, simply taking strength from being held. She didn’t want to discuss this further. She didn’t want to dwell on these feelings. If their children could see this, then it had already become too much of a problem. Lina couldn’t let this continue. When Black suggested the cabin, Lina shook her head. She didn’t want to go anywhere. She didn’t speak at first, giving true thought to the possibility of a getaway. However, she really did feel the same. There would be no changing. She didn’t want to go anywhere. She wanted to have a nice sit-down supper with the kids and Sire Thames, if he wished to attend. She would probably insist upon it. It would make it appear as though everyone was in attendance. That everyone that mattered that was still on this earth was still present and within reach. When she heard Black tell her that he was lucky to have her, she shook her head once more. It was not that way. She was the lucky one. A person lucky enough to have such a wonderful family, and a loving mate that doted upon her constantly. To have loving children, who, while they could be a handful, were her own. To have a father in her life. Sire Thames might not have been her biological father, but he was no less her father, then he was Black’s.
She stood then, carefully taking her time to unwind from Black’s hold, though she didn’t want to. She looked to him, ready to give explanation for her unwillingness to go to the cabin. She gingerly picked up her book and smiled at her mate. ”I want to have dinner with everyone here. I’m going to tell the cooks to make something lavish. I don’t want to get away. I want to be with everybody right here.” She stopped, smiled a bit wistfully. ”I hope that’s okay…I’d really rather stay in tonight. Maybe we can go in a few days?” LIna smiled, extending her hand to Black. She wanted him to take it, so that they could exit together. After they had, of course, she would need to head down to the kitchens to instruct the cooks to do something quite lavish. It was late enough in the day that it needed to be handled rather quickly. Then she would need to make sure everyone was present for dinner. Her children were not excused for anything this evening. That meant skipping practices, or other social gatherings they had planned. Surely, they wouldn’t mind too much. She stood on her tip toes to gingerly kiss Black upon his lips, and then snuggled to his side. ”Shall we?” She smiled, ready to lead them to the kitchens.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Braxton had tried to make his mate happy with reassuring words, but once again his words had failed him. Lina truly believed that all of this mess with her new found sister and Nate was all of her fault! The Alpha wolf knew that there wasn't anything he could say to make her feel better or to change her mind. Blowing out a sigh and placing a kiss to the top of her head, the werewolf pulled her closer to him. His poor, poor mate... black truly did want to cheer her up and he worried greatly about her. He wished that he could stay around her to be with her, but mating season was approaching and Braxton had to make sure his pack stayed in check. The wolf knew this time of years always made unmated wolves crazy violent. The scent and hormones drove them crazy, causing the actual matong nature and ritual to be extremely violent.
Many believed that the males were bad but the females could be just as bad. Maybe even worse. The women would try to fight each other to death over the strongest males, and Braxton had to be the one to break up the fights. Normally it would be up to the Female Alpha but Braxton wasn't getting his family anywhere near the wolves during this time of year. Black wasn't about to risk Lina's life over the outrageous fighting. Another reason why was because he didn't want her to see him all beat up or witness the gruesome fights that broke out. It was the time of year that males tried to challenge him for the position of Alpha. Of course Black would always won seeing as he was a lot bigger than the others, and his thoughts weren't all clouded with sex either. It was easy fights but he had often come home with deep gashes and broken bones. It was tough being an Alpha but Braxton was born to do it, and he was a born leader.
Snapping out of his thoughts when Lina finally spoke, Black looked down at Lina with a gentle smile. Dinner with the family sounded like a wonderful idea, and Braxton let out a chuckle as his mate wiggled out of his lap. Such a lovely creature Lina was. Taking her hand and placing a kiss to her forehead, Braxton smiled at her. "Dinner with the family sounds like a great idea. We don't have anything planned and I'm sure the kids are just playing outside, We had better hurry to the kitchen though. And don't worry about the cabin, love. It will always be there waiting for us." Winking at her and taking her hand, Black walked down into the kitchens with his lovely mate. Braxton decided to let Lina pick tonight's dinner seeing as he wans't picky and neither were the kids. They would eat about whatever was placed in front of them. While they waited for dinner, Black took Lina's hand once more and walked through the gardens with her. There he talked about work to do and how the company was doing, and once dinner was ready Black took her into the dining room as the triplets scrambled in behind them.
Sire Thames had a charming smile on his face as he took his seat, and so far dinner was going rather peacefully. The triplets told their parents about their days at school and how they were indeed behaving, which Braxton was highly grateful for. His father started talking about his upcoming trip to Europe and what all he was going to possibly do. After dinner was finished, Black said good night to the children and they soon ran off into their room after kissing their mother's cheek goodnight. Next was his father, yawning as he left the room and then it was just the two of them. Standing up and taking Lina's hand, Braxton bent down to place a kiss to her forehead. "How about a stroll through the garden once more before bed?" Leading his mate out into the garden's, he tucked her hand gently into the crook of his arm as the walked along the beds of flowers. It was a beautiful night and Braxton said nothing. He simply just wanted to enjoy the night with his mate. The two strolled quietly for a good while and then Braxton suggested to go to bed.
Once they reached his bedroom, the Alpha wolf helped Lina out of her clothing and pulled her against him before falling back onto the bed. Pulling the covers over them, Braxton snuggled into her back and placed a kiss to the back of her neck. He loved being close like this to her... Her scent and warmth slowly lulled him into a deep sleep. It had been a few hours after Braxton had fallen asleep when his phone started to ring. The first time he ignored it, shutting the thing off but a few minutes after that it rang once more. Letting out a growl and setting up, the werewolf grabbed the thing and answered it with a growl. "I'm sorry to disturb you sir, but I was told to call you and tell you that the car is waiting for at the airport. A Mr. Nathanial Thames wished for you to take care of it and give it to Adrian." Wait. What? Giving the woman his thanks and looking at his phone, he noticed his had a voice mail from... his brother?! His eyes widened as he listened to his message, and Braxton quickly got out of bed. Walking over to his dresser and pulling a pair of pants and a shirt on, Black went over and placed a kiss to Lina's cheek. "I'll be right back. Go back to sleep, okay?" Giving her another kiss, Black quickly hurried out of the room and called his driver, telling him to get to the car now.
When Black made it out to the front, the car was waiting and the werewolf quickly jumped in. What in the hell was going on? Why did his brother call him and what happened? Sitting in his thoughts, Black jumped when the driver told him that they had arrived. Nodding his head in understanding Braxton got out and looked up at the apartment. Something bad had happened...
Now to make a post for him in Nate's Apartment!! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

Not that she didn’t have plenty of reasons already. It was just nice to see the entire family sit around the table. It would lift her spirits. Taking Black’s hand they left the ballroom and headed for the kitchens. There, Black seemed to hang back on the ordering, so Lina did it herself. She went the route of seafood. Something spectacular for everyone in attendance. Why not go big if this was serious, right? Once the meat heavy feast had been ordered, Lina smiled pulling Black from the kitchen. He started to lead her out towards the gardens and she of course, followed without hesitation. She hadn’t realized what time of the year it was, until she was out in the gardens with Black. It was the mating season. Of course, she didn’t think they’d be trying for anymore pups. They already had theirs. However, that didn’t mean that there wouldn’t be things to look after. The pack mainly. Black was the one that usually handled all of those things. The one who was absent to take care of the terrible fights that occurred. Lina felt as though she should have been in attendance on several of these occasions. Even if she were no more then backup. Sometimes, when Black came back, he was pretty beat up. Of course, he always healed after a bath and some more “personal medicine”. It still was something that they should have been doing together. While Lina never doubted who’s pack it was, there was still a shared thing of the ownership. She would never step out of line, of course, but she should have stood proud with her mate. Not be kept at the sides and constantly protected. She wasn’t as weak as Black thought her to be, if he even found her weak. She only looked weak in front of the pack because of her continued absence. She needed to change that. Now didn’t seem the time, but she would be sure to bring it up later, when things weren’t so precariously based on moods. Besides, they were discussing the companies financial state, and some events that would be going on in a few months.
When dinner was ready, they ventured back into the house. Their children were already seated, and not squirming too much, which was always a good thing. Sire Thames was in attendance as well. The dinner conversations were of course, how the triplets were doing in school. How they were all behaving. It was rather miraculous. Of course, there were questions on how LIna herself was doing. She hated that she had worried her children. She told them all that she was perfectly fine, and that they would be going to do something fun, very soon. The tides moved to Sire Thames talking about a trip to Europe he was planning. Lina smiled, listening him describe some of the place in grand detail. It made her wish to travel to Europe. Perhaps she and Black could take the kids. Not this season of course, but perhaps after, when things weren’t so tumultuous. Lina smiled, eating, and chatting with the family around the table, until her children left. Soon after followed Sire Thames. Lina sat back in her chair, smiling. She had missed her children. She had missed Sire Thames. She had been the one shutting them out. It was her own fault. She just needed to seek them out and talk with them more. Black pulled her from her chair gently, placing a kiss to her forehead. He offered another jaunt through the gardens before bed, and Lina nodded, snuggling close to him as they went through the flower beds under the moonlight. It was quite romantic. Something she needed. It was comforting as well. The night was beautiful. They didn’t speak as they walked, but just being in each other’s company was plenty good enough for Lina.
When Black suggested they go to bed, Lina didn’t protest. Instead, she agreed and let Black lead her upstairs to their bedroom. Once they were upstairs, Black helped her out of her clothes, just as she helped him out of his. Then she was pulled towards her mate. She smiled, feeling the warmth of his skin meet her own. Laying with him like this was calming. Soothing. She felt safe and sound, as though nothing could go wrong. Just laying with him, listening to his breath put her to sleep. She was calm. Everything was perfect. There were no dreams that she could remember anyways. She was sleeping soundly until she heard the phone go off. She made a soft whine, but snuggled closer to Black ignoring the sound. It was only a moment before Black had silenced it. LIna curled up, reaching the skim of sleep again, when she heard the phone a second time. She felt Black pull away and pouted. Pulling the blankets to her so she would not be cold, she continued to shut her eyes, waiting for Black to return to her side. There was a soft mumbling from the other line. Lina wasn’t listening. She didn’t care. She wanted to go back to sleep, with her mate at her back. The mumbling stopped, but Black did not lay down again. The clicking of fingers on cell keys made her curl up in protest. She buried her face more into the pillow, tyring to avoid it’s light. There was more mumbling and then Black was getting up and leaving the bed. LIna whined once more, watching him as he pulled on pants and a shirt. She pouted. He was not supposed to be going anywhere. Not this late at night. He came back to kiss her cheek gently before telling her to go back to sleep. That he’d be back soon. She was going to protest, but he was already leaving. Something was probably wrong at the office. Someone couldn’t get in or something of the like. She shrugged it off, curling up in the blankets and forcing sleep.
It didn’t last long. So instead of simply waiting in the dark for her mate to return, Lina got up and started a bath. She got in, taking the warm water and the bubbles as time to relax and let go of her thoughts. Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to gently sink into the tub, letting the warmth flow through her own body. It was cold now, without Black to keep her warm. She smiled, carefully setting herself in the bath, so that she could doze if she wanted to, without drowning herself. And so she dozed off. She wasn’t even sure how long she did, but when she pulled herself out of the water, it had cooled quite a bit. She wrapped her robe around her gentle body after towling off. The cold silk felt nice on her body. She crawled back on top of the covers of her bed to await Black’s return. Turns out, that wasn’t such a long time after all. She Bolted upright at the sound of cars. Doors were shut. The house locked clicked. Lina was up and out of the bedroom quickly. She went for the top of the stairs. When she saw that there was someone in Black’s arms, she bolted down the stairs quickly. Who was it? As she drew closer, she knew. Adrian. There was blood on her hand, and she looked as though she had been crying. As if she still were. Lina looked to Black, but said nothing. She didn’t’ want to wake her sister. She followed Black to Nate’s old room, where he sat Adrian in bed. Lina made sure she was tucked in. Other then that, she didn’t want to disturb her sister.
When Black and Lina had cleared the room, and shut the doors to the room, Lina shook her head. ”Why didn’t you tell me? Would have gone with you!” She wsn’t made. She was concerned. She did wonder why Black hadn’t told her, but that wasn’t what was so concerning.S he wanted to know what happened. She doubted Black knew. She shook her head. She didn’t even know what time it was. The kids could be getting up for school soon. They would know someone else was in the house. Lina put her hand to her forehead, and then drew it down her face carefully. She took Black’s arm in both of her own and leaned on him. ”We’ll have to tell the kids not to go in there. No one should bother her. She’ll be alright. She’ll come out on her own…Everyone just needs to leave her alone. She has to have time to deal with whatever happened on her own. She can tell us when she’s ready.”She nodded to her mate, and kissed his hand gently. What had happened to Adrian? Lina was curious, but she knew it would have to come from Adrian whenever she came around.

"I'm more then a number, More then a pretty face, And surely, More then you can handle."
Out. Like a light. Adrian was dreaming about everything. She was back in her childhood. She was fighting her own fights. Being everything she had to be just to get by. Then she was meeting Lina for the first time, hearing her talk terribly about Nate. She was defending Nate. Then Nate was becoming some kind of animal. She had yelled at him. Had told him how she felt. Then he was leaving her after tonight. He kept popping up everywhere. He was unavoidable. Nothing going on in the outside world was truly coming through and registering to her. She was too far gone in her mind to truly be there. She didn’t hear the sounds of someone entering the apartment., Instead, she heard something coming up behind her in the hall. Someone was hunting her in the apartment, She feared that it was Nate, but it wasn’t’. It was someone who really meant harm to her. One of the people who she’d stepped on to get information about Lina. A person she’d double crossed. This person had only terrible intentions for her. There was no arguing that. There was fear, fresh and new. Her body didn’t register it, other then her heart pumping furiously in her chest. The attacker was on her. ”Come on Adrian…” The scary sweet voice racing through her dream. She had no idea that it was her sister’s mate, trying to tell her he was taking her away from Nate’s condo. He picked her up, and Adrian thought she was caught, but was someone with Nate’s build carrying her to safety, away from the man that was hunting her. She clutched to this man, her eyes springing fresh tears as her fear overran her.
Through her dream, and in waking reality, she had wrapped her hands around Black’s neck. She hadn’t realized what she was doing. She just thought that the savior in her dream was keeping her safe. She didn’t know that her actions were actually affecting her outside of her mind. She clung to this person carrying her with all the might she had. She wasn’t aware that Black was bringing her through the lobby and out into a car. When she was placed inside the car, she curled up tightly. She hadn’t been dressed to go out when she’s had her altercation with Nate. All she had on was a simple nightdress. It was spaghetti strapped and white. It didn’t travel past mid-thight, so as she curled up, she might not have been the most decent. She still didn’t care much about how she looked. She was waking to the motion. Her eyes fluttered open, but she only saw shadows. She wasn’t with Nate. Who was she with? Was she with the man who had saved her? Were her dreams actually her reality? Maybe she’d hit her head when she fell out of bed. She might have smacked her head on the corner of her nightstand. She didn’t remember. But just as soon as she had awoken to get a glimpse of her surroundings, she was pulled back into the dark lull of sleep. This time there was no dream. There was no waking, even as she was moved to another car. And buckled in. Even as she was moved inside the safety of a mansion. She didn’t even stir when she was put into bed and left there by her own sister and her mate. No. She was gone in dreamless sleep trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
When she finally did wake, there was light streaming from somewhere. Adrian had to blink quite a few times before she was actually well enough to wake and move. Her human hearing didn’t pick up anything surrounding her, but she took in her surroundings fast. It was a lavish house. She didn’t remember how she got there. Nothing as familiar. Nate’s words came back to her. ”I never needed you! You were just someone to make this place more full! Nothing else!!” She froze. Had he meant that to the exten of sending her back to the market and selling her off like an object? How could he do that to her? It was just a fight wasn’t it? No. She was somewhere foreign. Anythign could have happened to her while she slept! Her hand was still bloody. Her throat burned with swelling and sadness. She could barely swallow. She shook her head. No. No. NO. This was not allowed to happen. She was scared shitless. She needed to get out of this house. She was no one’s property. No one’s slave. She went for the window in the room. The drop was from a second story. It could break something of hers. There didn’t appear to be anyone outside though. There was a stretch woods beyond a grassy area and a smaller edge of garden. If she bolted straight for the woods she could get out before someone noticed she was gone right? There only problem was how she would shimmy down to the ground. There was an overhang eluding to a patio. She could jump from her window to the top of the patio, and then take the jump from the patio awning to the ground. She nodded with grim determination and made quick work.
The jump from the widow to the patio awning was rather painful. The surface was harder then Adrian had imagined. Her head swam. She really had hit her head on something in her fall, hadn’t she? She closed her eyes, biting her lip, and making the second jump to the ground. She stayed a gentle hump on the grass for a moment, before taking off as fast as she could. She prayed that no one would see her escape. She knew if she was caught it would mean punishment. The kind that could maim her for good. How could Nate have done this to her? She hated him. With every bit of her sides and lungs burning in agony, she continued to rush through the gardens, finally making it to the first branch of trees. She paused behind one of them to catch some breath, but knew she couldn’t stay there long. She had to keep moving. She couldn’t get caught. She had to keep moving or she’d surely be caught. She rushed through the trees, biting off short yelps of pain as her bare feet caught twigs and sharp rocks. Even some pine needles. Her dress was pulled by some snags of branches. Her hair was a mess as well. She didn’t even know how long the wood would last! She heard growing, and the heavy sound of animals. As if they were fighting. She shrank back quickly. She couldn’t see it, but she could hear it out in the woods alone as she was. Were they animals? What if they were like Nate? Would they eat her? She didn’t know. She had been stupid to go to the woods. She took a few more steps, hissing in pain as her foot caught something sharp. She’d stepped on a stick, and it’d pierced the center of her foot. Blood welled. The poke hadn’t been the deep, but as she pulled the stick away, she heard silence. Then the soft padding of something running. She shivered. Was hthis how she was going to die? Getting eaten by animals? How stupid she felt.
The running sound drew closer. She was terrified. She was dizzy as she stood, trying to continue moving. She needed to run. To leave. She didn’t know what direction was what. She walked along anyways, her foot leaving blood as she moved. Finally, she sunk down on a rather large rock. She was dizzy. She needed to catch her breath. The running was still around her. She couldn’t see where it was coming from. There was a growl. Then another. She thought she saw eyes. Something was closer. It was as if she were surrounded. She shrieked in finality, unable to make it last terribly long, as her throat was killing her. She cowed herself against this rock, her arms over her face, praying that someone would come and find her before she was torn to shreds by animals.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ As he carried Adrian up into Nate's old bedroom, Braxton made sure to stay quiet. The woman was tired and he didn't have the heart to disturb her... Especially when she had tried to snuggle up to him for whatever reasons.. It was hard not to feel sorry for her. Sighing as he stepped back in order for Lina to tuck her in bed, the werewolf walked out of the room and leaned against the wall. Rubbing his eyes with his fingers, Black tried to figure out what in the hell was going on. What were they going to do? Adrian was sure to be pissed at the world, hell he would be. Looking over at his mate when she looked up at him, he could see that she was curious but all the werewolf could do was shake his head. He didn't know what was going on! "I didn't want to wake you and I didn't think it would be this bad. As soon as I walked into the building the smell of Nate's blood was so strong... I didn't think anything had happened but something did and I can bet it was because of mating season..." That had to be it! Blowing out another sigh, Black nodded his head in agreement. Adrian did need to be left alone during this time. The triplets could wait to see her when she decided to come out and be seen.
However he wouldn't be able to hang around the mansion today to talk to Adrian either. Sighing once more and as he continued to rub his eyes. He had too much to do today! "I need you to promise me that after you get the kids ready for school that you will hang around the house. Adrian needs to seem a familiar face and seeing as I can't hang around today... Well I need you to do this for me. The pack is getting out of control and I have to be there." Pushing himself off of the wall, Black placed a hand on his mate's cheek. "I have to go but I'll be back later tonight, okay? I love you." Placing a kiss to Lina's lips, Black started walking downstairs and out towards the back yard. The woods surrounding the Thames's land was thick and not at all dense. If you didn't know your way around than you were sure to get lost and would stay that way until someone found you.
Shifting into the large black were that he was, Braxton sprinted off towards the middle of the woods that held the villages. He could already hears the growls, snarls, and howls of defeat. The smell of blood was thick in his nose and it caused the were to let out an irritated growl. Mating season had to be so violent... Braxton had wished that at least once it would be peaceful but his wish would never come true. It was aggravating and Black hated to be bloody and broken! Broken bones were a b***h to heal and it never felt good when you tried to walk. Skidding to a halt and letting out a snarl once he reached the village, Black quickly gained all attention. The other males lowered themselves and let out growls while Black kept his head up. Some of the already defeated or mated males stood back and watched, taking bets on who would win. Braxton pulled his lips back in a snarl. Idiots. After one of the bigger wolves came up and started to circle him, Braxton knew that the fighting was on.
By the time that the Alpha had put down all of his challengers, he was breaking up the fights between the females who tended to be more bloody. Cuts, scratches, and bites were delivered to his nose and arms. His body was already in pain from at least three or four broken ribs, and the deep gashes that covered his neck and chest were still bleeding. Damn mating season... Grabbing a hold of one of the fighting females, Braxton held her down to the ground by her throat until she stopped moving and let out a whine, after he did that he delivered the others a harsh glare and a firece growl. He was tired and he didn't want to put up with this today!! He had other things to deal with right now and this was something that he didn't even want to think about!! As the wolf walked around the village to make sure everything was calm for the moment, his ears twitched at the sound of hurried movements. Picking his head up and looking over his shoulder, Black seen some more wolves hear it as well. What was it? Seeing a couple of them sprint off, Braxton scented the air and smelled human blood.
Human blood? Nowhere would that.... His eyes widened and Braxton soon took off towards Adrian's scent. What in the hell was she doing up and about?! Wincing as he forced himself to run faster, the large black were picked up the sounds of growls. Damn!! Launching himself over the next fallen trees and large boulders, Braxton seen the two wolves as well as Adrian. Why was she up!!? Growling and grabbing one of the wolves by the neck, Black threw him back towards the village and kicked the other. Coming to stand in front of Adrian, the Alpha let out deep warning growls which clearly meant back the ******** off. When the two wolves looked at each other and then Black their ears fell back and quickly ran back home. Good! They should know better than to mess with humans!! Letting out a held in breath, the black were sat down to gain his breath. He was tired and in need of a bath! Looking back at Adrian with curious eyes, Braxton slowly shifted back and crossed his arms over his chest.
Even in human form he was bleeding and his sides were bruising from all the tackles and hits he took earlier. He looked like hell to put it simply. "What are you doing out here!! Trying to get yourself killed!? Mating wolves aren't the most gentle or sweetest of animals at the current moment!! You could have been torn apart or worse!!" Rubbing his eyes and shaking his head, Braxton told her that he was taking her back to the house. She needed to get dressed and eat something. Shifting into a wolf, he nodded towards his back for her to climb on. As soon as she got on then they were going back to the house so he could get some much needed rest, and so Lina could help her sister get comfortable here. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

What was most alarming, was that Black was not coming back to bed. He had said that he didn’t tell her because he didn’t want to wake her up. That was something she could deal with. IN face, she’d suck it up and get over it, because she already was. But the fact that he wasn’t coming back to bed? That was what really set her off. She shook her head, trying to wrap her head around everything. Mating season. Adrian. Nate. Something might have happened, Surely, Adrian would fill them in. But Black not coming back to bed? When it was Mating Season ? Really? A gentle hand on her cheek, telling her to be good and stay around the house. To get the kids ready, and off to school. Then a kiss. Then he was walking away. Everything seemed to happen so quickly, that she couldn’t even respond. She surely couldn’t start a shouting match in the wee hours of the morning. Not with a house full of sleeping people. She shook her head, and instead of walking off to give Black more hell, she moved to their room, and shut the door none too softly. She was still rather irked that she had been robbed of his company on this night during the mating season. After all, he was her mate. He should have been here. The pack could have waited until the morning.
Despite the residual anger causing some exhaustion, Lina only dozed off and on the rest of the night. She was either too fired up, or just too much in despair without her mate at her side. And boy, was she going to let him know it. When morning finally came, she dressed herself simply in a white summer dress. She busied herself with making sure her children were ready, and off for school. It was the best thing she could do with her mind still swimming in several different waters. Her children, perceptive as ever, were asking if anyone else was in the mansion. Without Black’s sense of authority, Lina didn’t know if she’d be able to persuade her children to stay away from Nate’s room. Of course, her children had already pinpointed the location, and were asking about it. Lina gave her children a stern look and told them all that they weren’t allowed to go inside. That their aunt was really sick, and they couldn’t go in until the got better. Of course, this just incited new excitement of what the triplets could do to make their aunt feel better. This, on top of the news that they had an aunt that had come to spend time with them. One that they were allowed to spend time with. Lina simply sighed, grateful for the school day ahead.
When her children had finally gone off to school, Lina sighed gratefully and fought the urge to check on Adrian. She’d come out when she was ready. Truthfully, Lina didn’t know how to feel about Adrian being here. She knew she was going to protect her sister and be there for her. Yet, at the same time, there was that worry that something had happened between Adrian and Nate, and that Adrian had no desire to be in the mansion. Lina surely wouldn’t blame her, but she would like to know, that way arrangements could be mad. Maybe Adrian would like the cottage better? It was protected. And it was easily reached without having to travel far. Adrian could find herself a home there, until they got to the bottom of this mess. Or, rather, forever if she needed it. Lina headed towards the ballroom once more. She could sit in one of the windows and read peacefully now. At least she knew Adrian was safe.
She’d just opened her book and thumbed to the section she’d left off when she heard a thud. She paused, looking up and around. Her children were of at school so she knew it wasn’t them playing about. She’d watch them all go. None of them were behind. Lina stood, waiting for another sound. There didn’t appear to be another. She settled herself back in a sitting position, thumbing once more, when she heard a second thump. Standing, Lina looked out of the window. Was there someone on the back lawn? A streak of something was headed for the woods. Lina thought for a moment, and with a moment of clarity, she ran upstairs, bursting into Nate’s old rom. The window was open. The path was clear. Window. Trellis. Ground. She cursed under her breath and dropped the book, heading down the stairs. Mating season, and she was going into the woods. Did Adrian know about weres? Lina wasn’t sure. She did know that Adrian would run into them if she continued her path through the woods. She began the shift into her wolf, stopping, when she again contemplated Adrian not knowing abut weres. She couldn’t shift. It surely would frighten her sister, would it not? With an irritated sigh, Lina bolted into the woods, following her sister’s scent. Shortly in, she heard a scream. This only doubled Lina’s efforts. No one was going to hurt her sister.
Panting, out of breath, Lina finally found the clearing with her sister. Black was present too. There was the scent of other wolves as well, which made her think that she’d just missed a good bit of the action. Her mate was wearing his wolf form, and Lina looked rather alarmed. Adrian looked shell shocked. What had Black been thinking? Adrian had probably never seen a werewolf before! And her poor sister, standing there in nothing more then a nightdress. Of course, Black was sitting there in his wolf form, talking to Adrian. Surely, he had registered hr presence by now. She was still infuriated with him, but seeing him bleeding she shook her head. ”Take her home. I’ll finish up what you have left here. I’m sure you handled the majority, but I’ve got it.” Lina let her steady gaze rest upon her mate. She wasn’t going to hear any arguments. She was already frustrated enough with him. There would be protest, but her glare and the raising of her hand was meant to silence him. ”Braxton, I really don’t want to hear it.” The fact that she was using his first name expressed her irritation. She never called her mate anything but Black when they used names. She was speaking quietly enough to that the pack would really have to strain to hear. They all seemed far enough away anyways. She would handle them, and make sure everyone was okay. ’You can tell me what I need to do, and then go. Or you can just help Adrian back, and leave me to do it without instruction.” She spared a glance to her sister to see that Adrian looked rather surprised, as id she’d rather not be present while things were discussed. Lina could tell that there was something wrong as well. Something in her face that held sorrow. She couldn’t question it now. She would have time later. She turned back to her mate waiting for his answer.

"I'm more then a number, More then a pretty face, And surely, More then you can handle."
Scary mutt like things. Like Nate had been. Weres. Three or four of them. Closing in. Growling, looking fierce and frightening. They had something of a mad glint in their eyes. The same thing she’d seen in Nate’s eyes as he’d mounted her and pinned her beneath him. That was what had made the scream flow through Adrian’s lips. Although, after she’d loosed it, she wished she hadn’t. That would only be sure to attract more wouldn’t it? Sure enough, a large Black were come ambling in. he was already bleeding and didn’t look to be in the best of shape. He thrust himself at the other misshapen wolves. Adrian didn’t want to watch the spectacle. There seemed to be some growling and that was all. It wasn’t as if she’d missed anything, even though she’d covered her eyes. She was all sorts of dirty now. Her nightgown was ruined. Her hair was a mess too. It wasn’t as if she’d gotten this way intentionally, but she had to run. She didn’t want to be in the house of that strange new master with no explanation. She didn’t want to be prisoner anywhere. If Nate had really gotten rid of her, she was going to be free and roam herself. There was no way she was going to let anyone else hold her down. She was the one that made herself. She made her own plans. She didn’t need Nate. Just like he never needed her. She had cared. She couldn’t deny that to the judges in her heart, but she didn’t care. She couldn’t let herself dwell on this. If he had gotten rid of her, it only confirmed that Nate had never cared and didn’t need her. That was fine. She didn’t need anyone. She didn’t need her sister. She didn’t need her sister’s husband. She sure as hell didn’t need Nate. And yet, when she looked, who was glowering down at her? The male Lina had married.
He’d shifted back, crossing his arms over his chest. He looked like hell too. Bleeding all over the place, starting to purple on his sides. She stayed frozen in place. She didn’t really know what to do. Why was he here? Had Nate sent him? Had Nate orchestrated this whole thing? She was so utterly confused, that she stared, shell shocked at this man in front of her, who looked pissed. And sure enough, she got a tirade. Something about mating wolves not being gentle. That she could have been torn apart. He didn’t get it. Couldn’t possibly fathom that she was already shredded, and the fact that he was present was only putting her through a second round. She watched him, unable to take her eyes of his. Her own were large, and threatening tears once more. She was so confused. She didn’t understand what was going on. He was saying something else but Adrian had her thoughts elsewhere. Why she was wherever she was. Why Nate’s brother was here. There was rustling behind her and in front of her. Nate’s brother had changed into a large wolf, and then, Lina was there. For a moment, Adrian couldn’t rest her eyes anywhere besides her sister. There had to be some reason both her and her husband were present?
When Lina spoke, it became clearer. Take her back to the house. She’d been in her sister’s house? How the hell was she supposed to have known that? There was no indication as to where she was. No one had told her. There was no note that she had noticed. Nothing. No indication of anything. Had Nate shipped her off to her sister’s house because that was the only place he could think of to send her? Why hadn’t he just sent her back? She looked to Lina’s husband, still suited as a wolf. Obviously, Lina was angry about something. She was short in her commands. And they were commands, not requests. She also called him Braxton. Obviously, that was his name. Adrian was grateful that Lina had filled in that blank for her. Truly, Adrian hadn’t been able to remember Braxton’s name. She’d been too irritated with him fighting with Nate. At the time, it seemed like a noble cause. Now she didn’t care much. It wasn’t at all like it mattered. She wasn’t in a master’s home. She was with her sister, in her sister’s home. Wasn’t there kids too? Oh god. The idea of a family onslaught at the moment was terrible. She didn’t speak, but she wanted to go back to the house. If nothing else then to clean up and have a safe place to sit and think. She didn’t want to be out in the open anymore. Not with these mating weres running about. She looked back and forth from Lina to Braxton awaiting some clue that would give her indication of who was going to take her form the woods and back to the house.
