Mareep tend to avoid battle in the wild and have mild dispositions. Mareep's fleece grows continually, and in the summer, the fleece is fully shed, but it grows back in a week. Mareep also stores air in its soft fur, allowing it to stay cool in summer and warm in winter.

» Likes: Sweets (mostly cakes/pastries, Gummy bears are love though!), Soft/Cuddly Toys, Warmth

» Dislikes: Water, Spicy foods (they burn!), The dark (D: !)

» Personality:

[+] Committed - Once someone gains Lynde's trust, they could pretty much depend on him for anything. For the most part, it's just daily things, normal things that people would want to be done around the house. He likes to cook, clean, bake, and pretty much anything else a common housewife would want to do.

Sometimes, he can do a little bit too much and become a nuisance, but deep down, others just need to know that if you have his trust, he more than just loves you. The more he does, the more he's trying to show he loves you. Lynde might shy away at times if someone tries to show their affection back, but it's not their fault.

[+] Empathetic - Even though Lynde can't really get close to people with his emotions, he does care for those that lets out their own emotions. If he seems someone, or a pokemon that seems to be upset, he would try his best to help. Even if this someone was mean, or bigger than him, Lynde's feeling of empathy would surpass that of his fear and shyness.

Although willing, Lynde is still quite unskilled at a lot of the human practices. Most of the time, if he is helping another person or pokemon, there would have to be someone there to instruct him. He is sharp and quick to understand other peoples' emotions, but he is not sharp and quick when it comes to picking up skills.

[+/-] Curious - With his desire to learn and his desire to help, Lynde sticks his head into anything. Normally, it's into situations where he doesn't have to be around people. He likes to explore more natural things, like different flowers, or looking up at different trees. As a gijinka, he enjoys seeing the practices of humans, sometimes going in to join, sometimes not.

If his curiosity grows enough for him to really want to do something, he wouldn't be shy about it. It isn't that he wouldn't be shy around others, but more so, he gets so curious to the point that he either forgets that they are there or ignores them completely.

[-] Demure/Anxious - To hide his anxiety when meeting others, Lynde has a playful demeanor. Although afraid, he likes to try and make a game of things, so he could calm down and try to enjoy himself. Lynde stutters normally when he talks to people, but when he gets so nervous to get to the point of being demure, the stuttering would stop and he would seem like a 'social butterfly'.

When he gets like this, he also seems more feminine than compared to his other traits. He holds up his arm and 'waves' someone away, jokingly. Some may mistake it for flirting, but if he were approached by someone, it would confuse him and he would back away.

[-] Push-over - Lynde's mind is quite immature, and doesn't really know what he wants or doesn't want, so is willing to try things that people tell him to, whether it be good or bad. When he does positive things, of course he's happy, but when it comes to the negative things, after he does them, he withdraws into himself, trying not to think of the action(s) he's done.

Mostly true for when he was a pokemon, Lynde is slowly growing out of being a push-over. When he was at the farm, the only thing he knew was to do things with the little girl, which is the cause of why he can't choose; overall, he didn't know how or what to choose, still being quite young. However, because of his devotion and determination to find the little girl, he would see the world on his own and grow.

» Strengths: Although Lynde is not ver powerful when it comes to physical strength, with his lean body, he is very agile. His legs are long which makes it easy for him to run. Because he is also very light weight, he can lift himself, making him able to climb trees.

» Weaknesses: Lynde is not a fighter. His punches have no power, and his kicks hurt himself more than they hurt the enemy. If he'd try lifting a weapon, he would have little to no control over it. He's also frightened very easily, so wouldn't be the first to throw a punch.

» History:

»»» As a Pokemon: Lynde didn't start off with Flaffy or Ampharos parents, but instead, the day his egg hatched, he was on the small coffee table of two farmers and their little girl. They collected Mareep sheddings to make wool, and eventually sell fabrics at the local market. When Lynde opened his small eyes, he ran into a corner and curled into a fluff ball. Although most Mareeps were shy, Lynde was more than just shy and was very much afraid and confused.

For many days, no one could approach Lynde without a shock that warned them to stay away; he didn't hurt them, but he also didn't want them anywhere near him. They left food near him, but Lynde would still not approach the food. In general, he didn't leave his corner.

Two to three days later, the farmers' little girl approached Lynde, with a small, fluffy Mareep doll in hand and started to play with her doll, as if her doll was 'eating' food. At first, Lynde just peeked, but seeing something that was relatively familiar, he wandered to the little girl and watched her. The little girl held out a piece of food. Lynde was cautious, but eventually ate a little bit from her as well as the bowl of food. When the little girl's parents came by, excited to see that he was eating, Lynde ran back to his corner. At that point, they understood that the little Mareep had a hard time trusting, and for a while, it would only be the little girl.

Another week passed by. Day by day, Lynde grew closer and closer to the little girl. He didn't know or understand, however, that the little girl had been born sick. The parents had been planning for a while now to take her to the hospital, but of course, said nothing to the little girl and Lynde. The second Saturday after Lynde was born, the whole family was gone, leaving Lynde with nothing but confusion, the little Mareep doll, and a blue ribbon tied around his neck during his sleep. Being the only things he knew and loved still, Lynde took the doll and kept the ribbon as he started to search.

The little girl had gotten sick in the night. Although she would be back a few days later, the little Mareep got out of the house and went in search for that little girl. Lynde would travel for many days, going into many months searching for the girl and her family. He would keep going, until meeting a certain Musharna would put his search on hold, for a little bit.

»»» Meeting Musharna/The dream: Earlier that day, Lynde had been continuing his search and bumped into an unfriendly Houndoor, whom bit Lynde's leg and left him bleeding, scared, and his mentality approaching helplessness. He managed to drag himself to a small bush with some sweet berries, ate a little bit, and slowly drifted into a deep sleep, cuddling his doll...

It started off as flashbacks, he saw himself in the corner looking at the little girl playing. He saw himself playing with the little girls in the fields of the farm. He saw himself being cuddle by the little girl. He saw himself alone... traveling... and finally failing to fend for himself. Although sleeping, a tear ran down his cheek: he missed the little girl and the happiness that they had that was so short lived.

The flashbacks reminded Lynde about how dependent he was on the little girl. With his short life, all he really did was stick to the girl. He didn't explore as much as he did now. It kind of made him sad. In his travels looking for the girl, he had seen hurt Pokemon but could do nothing to help. Even for himself, he felt kind of useless, not being able to help himself. All in all, losing the girl.

His dream was soon enveloped in pink smoke, and he saw himself as a gijinka. His life... seemed to flash by him again, but he looked different... Things that Lynde didn't remember happened. Him growing.. Exploring... Learning to take care of himself... Learning to live as a human did. The idea of being able to fend for himself, the feeling of being able to use two hands to make people happy... It seemed so more more appealing than the life he lived. Maybe he could learn to be less afraid now? Maybe he wouldn't need to find the little girl and finally have a life of his own.

»»» After the dream: Lynde wiggled as he woke up, his head sticking in the blush. He was still wrapped around his precious Mareep doll. He was about to stand up when he noticed that he was no longer a Mareep! Well, sort of. He held up his hands and looked at them, somewhat in awe, somewhat afraid of what just happened. He still had is tail and ears, which made him happy. But what next? He wasn't sure if he should continue his search or start off on his own.

Eventually, he chose to continue his search. At least, that's what it seemed like at first.

He stumbled apon a traveling fair while arriving at a city, still searching. Lynde tried to go up to people as he did when he was a Mareep, but many people turned him away. He didn't know if it was the first time they saw someone like him. He wasn't even sure if there were others like him, but they just didn't seem to want to associate with what they were not used to.

In that city, he found a small traveling festival. With no where else to look, Lynde tried there, going from booth to booth, seeing if they would give him some food. After all the food booths rejected him, he gave up and decided to sit a little bit away from the crowd.

Lynde was slowly losing hope as he cuddled his Mareep doll. As he stood up and was about to walk away, he saw a little girl, holding a Flaffy doll. It wasn't the little girl that Lynde was looking for, but the girl offered him something on a plate. Lynde didn't know what it was, but because he was hungry and didn't want to search for wild berries, he thanked the girl with a smile and a nod and ate.

That little girl however, wasn't ready to just let the interesting person slip away from her curious mind. She played with Lynde a little while until she heard her parents call. With that, the little girl held Lynde's hand and led him to where her family was living. Lynde stood still for a little while, but he thought, what did he have to lose now? He sighed and smiled for the girl, following her lead.

The girl's parents were shocked at what they saw at first, but they watched how Lynde reacted to the little girl and calmed down, just a little bit. When the parents asked Lynde questions, all he could answer with was a shake of his head, not knowing what to do.

With the festivities lasting for a few days, the parents of the little girl warmed up to Lynde. They offered him a spot to help them sell Pokedolls in various cities. Lynde didn't know what else he could do, so he accepted. In exchange for a place to sleep and eat, Lynde helped out with the sales (mostly to little kids that the little girl brought over) as well as cooking and cleaning.

On his days off, Lynde would continue his search for the little girl. He didn't know that she probably looked quite different from when the girl was younger, but Lynde kept a watchful eye, with the little Mareep doll and ribbon close at hand. If he couldn't spot her in the crowd, maybe he would look at least a little bit familiar...

If anyone's curious, I'm putting my entry in small font here XD; I dunno who looks at these but staff, but I hope to put this in my journal too ^_^ <3

Lynde looked down at his feet; they were bare and were right next to the edge of the concrete and the beginning of the sand. The floor was warm and slowly getting warmer under his feet, but he didn't mind it at all; he was more afraid than worried about the sun. He had been trying very hard to experience more of the human activities, but he wasn't so sure about this one. Someone had given him a pair of board shorts; although comfy, Lynde felt very bare and well... exposed.

"Ugh... Why couldn't I just wear regular clothes!" Lynde's face was slowly getting red. Some people would think it was because of the sun warming his cheeks, but it was definitely his self-awareness that made him blush that deep red. Right when Lynde was brave enough to take his first step onto the sand, someone in a rush ran past him, bumping him hard on one shoulder, which caused Lynde to land face first into the sand. He mumbled under his breath before his teal eyes peaked over the sand. Although there was sand all over him and a little bit hurt, the warmth actually caused him to relax instead of wanting to confront the person who knocked him down for an apology.

Luckily, where he had been standing wasn't that far from the ocean as well as the crowds. Most people were preoccupied with the festival booths, but for himself, Lynde scanned the beach for an open spot in the water. Seeing an area with less people, he walked towards the water and slowly began to hear the soft waves hitting the beach, each crash a little more soothing than the other.

The sounds slowly drew Lynde's attention away from the overall experience, but instead, he felt as though the crashing of the waves called for attention. His feet were soon making imprints on the soaked sand. The water was cold to the touch, but without thinking, Lynde walked deeper into the ocean until his knees were under the water. He took a deep breath as he looked up into the sky and further into the horizon, not realizing that his tail would soon touch the water. It wasn't until someone nearby said "ouch!" really loud did he remember that his tail stored some electricity and water could conduct electricity. Lynde was quick to run back the shore, away from the water and further off the beach.

He sat down on the sand, knees to his chest and head resting on his knees. "At least I tried..." Lynde knew that although he looked more human, some things were just hard to experience and experience in a good way. He sighed as he looked back towards the water. He tried to not let that little setback keep him from enjoying the rest of the day. He stood up and walked towards the booths, this time very much aware that if he didn't keep his tail close to him, something definitely might happen.

"Maybe someday I don't have to worry about my tail... Maybe someday I don't have to think of myself as a gijinka... Maybe someday I don't have to be judged just because I am a gijinka..." Lynde put on a happy face and walked into the crowd, trying to have as much confidence as he could muster.

Okiedokie, main thing bugging me throughout this concept is that he's painfully shy of others and yet he loves to meet other people etc? This makes very little sense at all and you juxtapose between him being curious one moment and shy the next - people don't flipflop and act with that level of unpredictability unless there's something wrong with their head.

In short, you need to pick one or the other. For the social butterfly edge to be believable you'll need to trash his shyness, for his shyness to be believable you'll need to remove the social butterfly edge. A shy individual does exactly what it says on the tin, they 'shy' away from people or things that spook them and make them uncomfortable. This in mind, why on earth would he investigate anyone? Shy individuals, psychologically, rely on others to approach them first unless they are forced to socialise - they almost never do the approaching.

In light of the above comment, "Demure" is when an individual is well-mannered, quiet and modest. They can occasionally be shy but it's usually done in a more playful way which is why it was used so heavily by women in the 1800s. The chosen word might be correct depending on how you choose to take the above critique, but until I know which direction you want to head with that, I can't do much more.

Conclusion of Rambling:
You can be shy and curious but the shyness will always dominate the curiosity. That means that he would never act on his curiosity - this doesn't seem to compliment him at all based on his history.

However, you can be curious and cautious at the same time which seems to fit his behaviour in his history much better. A curious individual who maintains a cautious demeanour can investigate something but the curiosity is slow burning, meaning they'll take more time to react and approach. They're less inclined to rush forward but they will still find the answers they're after.

If you can get all of this sorted this point is actually the only major issue in terms of his concept. He contradicts himself and as a consequence, I can't approve him. Once he makes sense and has been tweaked slightly, I can approve him. ^_^

Strengths:
Need completely rewritten, depending on whether you choose to be shy curious with him. You also need to add in physical strengths as that is what this category is reserved for.

Weaknesses:
Generally speaking these would be okay IF you re-evaluated what you want to do with him. If he's more wary and shy I find myself having a difficult time picturing him in a bad spot without being really unlucky - even then, I don't think it'd be his fault. Additionally, same as above, need a physical trait. n_n

History:
Gijinka are a rare phenomenon and humans don't always react with kindness to them, nor would they be aware that they technically exist depending on which part of the world they're from. Querying how they transformed is also inadvisable as none of the Gijinka (bar Musharna) know precisely how it's done... consequently the most any gijinka can say is, "It just happened".

Overall, the history is okay up until his life as a Gijinka, that bit does need toggled slightly as certain aspects of it aren't allowed. Outside of that, the history is good!

Random Notes from a pedantic lady:
1. Watch out for your typos and try not to abuse elipsis too much as it makes the paragraph a little painful to read.
2. You are free to put your flatsale entry in your journal but it cannot be used as a solo/journal entry. It's only allowed to be an additional piece of information and won't give you any other benefits beyond that. *Nodnod*

Epine de Rose

- Changed from painfully shy to playfully shy (+some anxiety)
- Changed strengths and weaknesses to actually something physical *shotdedz, totallymissedthepointofthisthefirstime*
- History of being a Gijinka rewritten; sort of the same, but not?

Also:
- Removed some ellipses xD;
- Oh! I know xD it would be weird if i did use it as a journal entry... Not what I'd want there. Just part of the Misc. section later :3
