Would it not be fitting to have this pair meet in the most cliched accurate of settings? During the dead of night.
No moon shown in the skies. Skies which were blotted out with heavy cloud cover. The pitch black of night seemed more intense than usual. A fog hovering over the ground which swirled with each of her steps. But it wasn't as if Özge was SCARED or anything. Quite the contrary. The female knew she needed to be strong for any unlucky soul which might need her aid. Be it a splinter or tumble from a careless step.
But even the great hero Özge took a few clumsy steps. Stumbling at times when her paws might have snagged on roots she ordinarily wouldn't have noticed. The savannah was alive. Even in the dead of night. Bugs making their calls as the tentative crunch of smaller creatures sneaked around. This lioness was far too worried of looking for someone in need of aid, she didn't even contemplate the idea that she might be ambushed.

Dark red eyes opened slowly in the dark. The black lion waited in a stillness of death as the strangely-colored lioness moved closer to his location. He did not move even as she came dangerous close to the dense foliage for an ambush he did intend on accomplishing but she was not the designated target. The one he was expecting wouldn't come until much later - if his pride's information network was to be trusted - and Gebhuza, who did trust it, wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon.
He controlled his breathing, relaxed his muscles. He was part of the scenery. So much so that even the occasional bird or mouse almost touched him before realizing there was a big dark lion playing statue right next to them.
But even though he was cautious and prepared, the strong scent of lion was difficult to conceal and, unless a strong wind came to his aid, he knew the lioness might realize he was there. He wasn't worried yet. Careful planning or not, Gebhuza was always ready to adjust his actions to the situation.

Özge spoke to herself to fill in the void. The female was lonesome a majority of the time. To reenact normal interaction she commonly spoke her thoughts out loud. Narrating her thoughts or actions on occasion.
"Hmm, suuure is dark tonight." The lioness said wistfully. Flouncing through the darkness, not seeming to mind that she occasionally snagged her paw on something or another which would cause the fem to stumble for a step or two. When one gets a look at her, they first notice her gaudy coloration. Then comes her distinctly bulky frame. One which was far more muscular than a normally slender lioness. Followed by the marks and scars of previous encounters she's had of all altercations. But in this darkness, it wasn't quite as easily distinguished that Özge's left eye sometimes wandered in the opposite direction of where she was holding attention. For all of her faults, she still 'selflessly' thrust herself into the job of 'hero'. If only to get praise. Well, occasional praise.
The accomplished ninja did go unnoticed. With the female stupidly walking just afew yards from him without so much as a hint of his presence. But there was the lingering scent to the air. Enough to make Özge pause from her walk to scope out her surroundings. "Hrm... a male mustha been around here." She said after a strong whiff at the air. "Real close too..." Furrowing her brow, a smile formed when she realized the implications. "Maybe he needs help!" Usefullness! She may have found it tonight!

Dark red slits narrowed as the lioness moved even closer and the dark striped lion took in the details the proximity provided. She seemed to be speaking to herself, which could both mean the stocky-looking female might be feeling lonely or simply not entirely sane. She also stumbled a few times as well. Was she tired? Weakened in any other way? Looking for potential advantages was something he did instinctively even if Gebhuza wasn’t planning on fighting the stranger. Actually, he couldn’t afford to fight the oddly marked lioness tonight. The smallest amount of blood could taint this perfect location and keep his target from ever crossing the dark lion’s path. And after all his careful planning, that just wouldn’t do. Gebhuza had a schedule to fulfill and after the delay with the last mission, he just wasn’t inclined to let something like that happen again. As such, the lioness’ scars caused him a small amount of worry which could only increase when she stopped RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.
With no moonlight to reflect in his eyes, he remained unseen though it was clear the lioness had caught his scent… because she said it herself... out loud again. Her conclusion baffled him though and he frowned silently as he considered the implications of her intentions. The last thing he wanted was to have this lioness taking her time to sniff him out, lingering in the area for as long as she pleased – which could very well be until she’d found him. No, he had to get rid of her somehow. Gods forbid, he might even have to be friendly.
“You shouldn’t stand so close to the darkness.” He said his usual monotone, his deep voice only gentle in the presence of his pride’s youth. “You never know what might jump out.” Slowly and in the most non-intimidating way he could as he could, the dark lion stepped forward.

The ninja was lucky. For once Özge hadn't encountered anyone else earlier in the evening. Villains and 'civilians' alike didn't care for whatever justice she hoped to serve out. So as frequently as she got into scraps with baddies, Özge also had to fend off whomever she was genuinely trying to help. But her kind of help normally did more harm than good, much to the frustration of the strangers she was 'aiding'. Understandably they would lash out.
If there was one thing Özge honed in on, was her skills in combat. Her near constant fighting made for great practice in self defense.
When the gruff, distinctly male voice lifted from the equally dark grasses, Özge jolted. Her body tensing up before she swiftly bobbed her torso side to side, glancing around to see where the source of the voice was coming from. "Whose there!?" She weaved, "Show yourself!" Once the lioness realized her company wasn't eagerly presenting himself, Özge turned in the direction she was certain his voice came from. "Is there something to hide, stranger?" Her stern expression was formed out of habit. Put on the defensive when realizing she had company. Company who remained shrouded in the shadows. That couldn't have been a good sign.
Having been 'played with' with far too many cynical villains, the lioness was used to the antics of the 'baddies'. The most worrisome being the ones who found solace in the dark of night. The crunch of pebbles and dirt resounded with each of her hasty steps, keeping attentive of her surroundings.

“I am showing myself.” Gebhuza said in much the same tone as silent steps kept propelling him forward until the shape of the dark lion finally came out f the dense gathering of bushes, shrubs and small trees. He knew he shouldn’t but Gebhuza couldn’t help feeling just a little bit amused by the way he had startled the lioness. “Evening.”
Against the stranger’s defensive posture and somewhat accusing tone, the dark lion continued being a solid rock when it came to showing his emotions. Calm and collected –at least it appeared that way – the black lion leaned back to sit, hoping the small gesture would help the lioness relax and try to chat. He could certainly endure a bit of useless banter if it would make the lioness disappear any faster.

With her full attention pointed in the direction of the voice, the lioness puffed herself up. Keeping her appearance as 'large' and threatening as possible. When the ghostly figure seemed to just... appear hovering out from the thatch of grasses, Özge felt a chill run down her spine. But her deep set frown remained. Unsure of what to chalk him up as. Based on first impression, this mysterious male maneuvered through the darkness with ease... he was dark and imposing. With scarlet eyes.
By definition alone, Özge didn't feel too comfortable with this stranger. Her defensiveness will remain, for now.
"There are no prey animals around, why were you hidden?" Her chatting resembled interrogation. With all four paws planted firmly to the ground, a solid stance she her alert and at the ready. Unfortunately for Gebhuza, his first mistake was revealing himself. By this point, the only way he would be getting rid of her would be by chasing her off. Or disappearing. Özge pretty much latches onto anyone she meets. Continuing to pester them until they realize she has no intention of leaving them be. "Are you hidden from someone...? Do you need protection? Is it a conspiracy? Are you on the run?" With the slew of questions Özge took a few steps forward, her mind running once she allowed her imagination to run wild.

For someone who looked so… “festive”, Gebhuza had to admit he found this lioness a bit too sharp for his liking. And intrusive. His claws tensed has she moved closer but he made an effort to appear relaxed as she continued her approach. But he was sitting, which was hardly a good position to be in if she were to suddenly attack him so he wasn’t all too happy that she was closing the distance between them. “Do I look like I need to hide from anyone? Or receive protection?” Conspiracy…? She was getting a bit carried away now, wasn’t she? He didn’t answer all her questions, fearing that he might actually encourage this strange behavior. “You, however, are a different case. I saw you stumbling. If you’re injured there are some friendly prides in the area. They have good medics there.” He wasn’t lying just yet and he’d gladly sent to one such pride if that would allow him to be rid of her interference.

"Well, no..." She admitted, half frowning as she responded. "But everyone needs help once in awhile. Unless it is for nefarious purposes..." Özge narrowed her eyes at him a fraction, leaning forward as she did so. Once her 'intense stare' was finished, the female righted herself. Returning her expression back to a neutral one.
She did notice his lack of response towards her inquiry on the conspiracy theory.did that mean... there WAS one? Peeking around causally, the lioness figured the pair of them were probably being watched. Or this lion didn't feel this was a secured location.
It didn't really help that Gebhuza promptly commented on the fact there was a pride near here. The lioness figured he wanted to head there with her to discuss his dire need of help! That there was a conspiracy and only SHE could save the day... err... night.
"Ohhhh... right." Özge paused to do a drawn out and purposeful wink. With her mouth slightly open as she squinted her left eye shut. "Yeah, yeah... I think I hurt myself. Oh, ohhhh... the pain." This female wasn't the best actress, and if the pair were in fact being watched, it would have been clear she was faking. "I don't think I can go it alone, will you take me?" She asked, with a pitiful whine, only to quickly jolt her head forward to whisper at the male, "We can better discuss it there. Lets move!" She whispered out of the corner of her mouth, before leaning back to go into drawn out whines. Lifting the ailing 'paw'.

She was right, everyone needs helps at one point or another in their lives. But that’s why Gebhuza was part of a pride. There was strength in numbers and complete solitude did do well for a lion’s heath. He should know, he'd seen his fair share of unbalanced rogues during his missions. Wait, did she… wink at him? Gebhuza barely had time to consider that strange event when the lioness started acting… well, acting. There was an actual pride filled with actors not too far from their location but this girl certainly wouldn’t be on a play anytime soon. Her odd behavior wouldn’t fool a cub let alone a grown lion.
“What are you talking about?” She was acting as if they were being watched but the dark lion liked to think – at least he hoped – that he’d become aware of company before she did. He looked around just in case and finding nothing suspicious, he gave the lioness a rather exasperated look that he hoped would calm her down quickly. “You were fine just a moment ago. Please stop that.” What could he say to get her out of the way? That he was waiting for a friend? No, she might want to keep him company until his friend arrived. That he was waiting to ambush a passing herd? No, she might actually offer to help him hunt! Suddenly, he remembered something that might actually work… on a girl.
“I’m afraid I can only point you in the right direction. I’m waiting for my date and she’s jealous enough not to appreciate the fact that there’s a lioness here, talking to me.” He sighed quietly as if he was feeling very troubled by the situation. “So please leave before your scent lingers in the area. I’m a very serious lion and the last thing I want is to be accused of cheating. You’ll be fine if you just keep walking in that direction.”

Özge continued her groans of pain, filtering out the male's pleading for her to stop. Hunching slightly as that paw remained to the air, holding it skyward as if that would make her entire act more believable. But somewhere in the middle of Gebhuza's blatant lie, the female latched onto the word 'date'. She shushed up to listen to the rest of his explanation, sniffling slightly. Apparently she really go into the whole 'crying fit'.
It didn't take long for her to piece everything together. Gebhuza pretty much spoon fed her an explanation after all. When she came upon the realization, the hero's face brightened. "Ohhhh... ohhhh~! A date! How exciting!" Reaching out her paw to brush at his mane, it was clear Özge wasn't listening when the lion told her about keeping as little of her scent on him. And here she was, aiming to comb his mane.
"Well, I best be on my way then!" Pausing to salute Özge chuckled, "Enjoy your night. Best not to do anything you might regret~!" Her small piece of advice for the male. Funnily the same one she looked towards with contempt only a few moments prior. Flouncing off elsewhere, the lioness was on her merry way. Leaving the dark lion with no name alone for his true late intentions of the evening.
