Not sure if this is the right area to post it but...
I hope you guys on the East Coast are taking precautions. Power outages are immenent.
I'm in NYC and it's not a pretty sight in supermarkets. Bottled water is gone, so are most canned goods and batteries. (at least in my area)
I wish you all the best of luck and those of you not in danger, send some good vibes our way smile

i live in eastern PA and it seems like people around here aren't trying to get anything done to prepare for this. it's gonna go like right next to us and no one cares. its so stupid. we have batteries, flashlights, canned food, lots of water and we moved everything out of the front yard that could fly away and cut down dead branches from trees and we are like the only ones

I wish you and your family safety.

Eastern PA here.
(Talking from where I am) Irene isn't going to be a big deal for PA, it's just going to be lots of rain and lots of wind, that's it. I don't know why people are over reacting about this, Maryland and the coastal states can be scared, sure, but the states that are inland should relax. It isn't like Katrina and it's just going to be a rough storm, nothing more than that. The worst that could happen where I am would be that an old, weak tree would fall over. XD
My family is just going to turn it into a movie weekend so we stocked up on snacks and new movies today. PARTY AT MY HOUSE!! 4laugh

I'm from Massachusetts, the South Shore to be more specific. We're all prepared; we bought some food and water and stuff, we're gonna tape the windows shut when the storm comes, and if it gets TOO hectic we'll go down cellar. I'll pray that the worst thing that happens is a power outage. It's been raining like crazy today, but I think the hurricane is going to hit us tomorrow at 3pm... but it will REALLY get bad at 8pm... at least that's what I hear...

I am way far inland, but my company will be helping a lot of people once the storm is over. We are all working overtime to make sure that we get to as many people as possible. Take care and remember NEVER drive through flooded roads.

I've seen regular storms that were worse than what we got. I feel bad for down south, but people in Maine were worrying for nothing.

Thank God for Wisconsin being inland.
