Dvija loved to roam near the boundaries of his pride. It was there that he'd met his muse, Circe, and it was there that he felt in his prime. He was a young lion as far as his age went, but he was an old soul. Sentimental to his very core, Dvija could often be found lost in daydreams. He was silent more often than not and had yet to feel the urge to wander off in order to find a companion that he could call his very own. It didn't bother him, really. After all, his parents were an elderly couple and they seemed perfectly happy with one another. Dvija was content knowing that someday he would find his true soulmate.

Until that day, he was perfectly happy to laze about daydreaming.

Despite being completely lost in his daydreams, Dvija did catch a strange scent on the sweet savanna breeze. Slowly those pale eyes of his opened and he glanced around warily. It did not smell male, which made Dvija feel a little better, but it was not a scent that he recognized at all.

With a grunt the lion rose to his feet, shaking out his mane and coat with a swift movement before he padded in the direction of the smell. Peering through a few scrubbly, patchy bushes, Dvija caught sight of a pretty striped lioness with the most extraordinary eyes he'd ever seen in his life. Without realizing it, his paws carried him towards the female.

Dvija did not speak a word, merely stared at her wordlessly. He was far too entranced by her eyes.

Dvija stopped when she called out at him to do so, shaking his head as if he hadn't quite realized what he'd been doing. A deep frown furrowed between his brows as he stared at her for a few long moments before answering her question.

"I am Dvija. Who are you?" As he waited for her to answer, his eyes returned to her strange ones. He wasn't sure if he liked them or not. They were so unusual and he felt utterly fascinated by them. He could see the slight tinge of a red mark on her cheek but his attention kept going back to those queer eyes of hers.

He'd never seen anything like them.

Curious. Dvija tilted his head to the side as he watched her carefully. How did one forget their name? It made little sense to him. Then again, perhaps she was under a curse. He would believe it just by looking at her. Those eerie eyes of hers might be a part of the curse, too.

"I mean you no harm, Sir'Bia." Pale blue eyes narrowed with concern as he watched her for a moment longer. "How have you come to remember only your name? Such a thing is quite curious." He really wanted to ask her if she'd been cursed by a God or some such thing, but he doubted that she'd be able to answer him if she couldn't remember more than her own name.

Dvija offered her a smile. He hoped that it offered her at least some solace.

"Well, Sir'Bia. I can offer you a meal and some shelter. I won't ask where it is you are going," his smile turned wry, "but I can offer you companionship and like I've mentioned, a meal and shelter. Perhaps we can figure out a plan of action for you so that you don't find yourself wandering aimlessly. Perhaps you have family nearby."

The big lion turned and glanced over his shoulder, inviting her to follow. "If you do not feel safe with me, you are free to go on your way. The decision is yours, Sir'Bia." With one more grin he took another step before pausing, as if waiting for an answer from her.
