Thunder cracked, enough to make the ground shake. Followed after the bright spark of light that flashed and illuminated the sky for a brief moment. Hoalohanani was tucked safely in a hallowed groove under the trunk of a tree. The roots coiled around in the emptied space which was dug out by some previous owner. Nestled in her makeshift 'home' the female stared blankly at the sky. Marveling not at the raging storm, but by what it produced.

The rattle of hail stones landing messily on the hard ground resounded as each and every one knocked into the dirt, pelting the earth with the crystal orbs. This weather condition kept the normally nocturnal animal from prowling at night. She was stuck under the safety of her tree until the hail stopped atleast. This was really doing the female a disservice. She REALLY wanted to go hassle some cub tonight. But that wouldn't be happening. She'd be lucky to even find food tonight.

But Hoalohanani didn't dwell on it for too long. Staring at the rocks which fell from the skies. Wondering what it might mean. Did fate want her to stay in her den? Silently the leopardess mused the possibilities.
