Over-large, puppy’s paws padded quietly across the earth, carrying the reticent male through the forest on a solitary trek. His siblings were busy, not that he minded. He loved them, but for the most part, they simply did not understand him. That was fine. Most people didn’t. His parents were busy, as well. The downside to being the child of the alphas – even though they tried their best to be present in their children’s lives, the pack often required their attention. Still, Rhys didn’t mind that, either. It was nice when he could spend time with them, but he also enjoyed following other adults around. There was so much to learn from everyone. However, out of all of the adults, not even Balios was to be found, today.
In essence, Rhys was on his own and he was not entirely sure what to do about that. What could he do with his sudden free-time? Maybe practice some of the skills he had learned from the adults? Though, a lot of those came from Balios and has to do with negotiations… Maybe not, then. But surely there was something he could do?
Oh? What was that? A flash of color, brighter than most anything in the forest. A wolf. As Rhys got closer to her, he vaguely recognized her as someone whom he had seen around, but never actually spoken to. She had always struck him as a little nervous, though that in and of itself was not completely unusual. He had noticed that many newcomers were nervous when they first arrived. No. What was unusual about her was that she still seemed nervous. However long she had been here, whatever had her unsettled had yet to completely disappear.
The pup came closer to her, but she did not seem to notice. Just what was she doing? He cocked his head, then sat down and just stared at her with unblinking eyes, waiting for her to notice him, wondering what she was up to.

Ki-Adi had been absolutely positive that she'd seen something scurrying about in the brush to her left, something small she thought and while she was pretty sure it had been a rabbit there were still pups in the pack and pups really shouldn't be out this far from the central dens. Of course if their parents had allowed them to wander then there really wasn't much she could say about it now was there...but she could make sure they were safe. It was dangerous out here..come to think of it she really shouldn't be out here herself!
Having pushed her nose into the brush and found no evidence of either a rabbit or a pup..and so convinced that her mind had been playing tricks on her and further unsettled by her earlier thoughts she gave her pelt a shake to clear the shiver going down her spine and turned around to head back towards the pack.
Which is when she came face to face with Rhys staring at her, Startled she jumped back with a nervous yelp before her mind registered who it was sitting there. "Rhy's!" She exclaimed nervously 'what are you doing out here all alone?!?"

The pup blinked at her reaction and tilted his head the other way. Surely he wasn’t that shocking a sight. Unless she was one of those – one of the ones who were wary of him. Though he was used to it, it still hurt a little. Well, maybe it was just her normal nervousness. Maybe.
But, she had asked him a question. It was only right that he should answer. “Walking,” he replied, as unforthcoming as ever and seeing no problem with being alone. Of course, he wasn’t shy, either. “What are you doing?”
Maybe it was something interesting. Maybe he could learn something. Or maybe he would just have to on his merry way again. Still it was at least worth a try. It could prove informative.

Ki Adi shifted her paws slightly - she didn't like to admit it, especially when it concerned one of her alphas pups, her good alphas who had taken her in and demanded nothing of her that she wasn't comfortable giving - but this pup of theirs unnerved her. He was always so...intent, always watching and while she didn't think he did so in the malicious fashion the wolves from her past had it none the less reminded her of her early days. The days she had tried to escape by running here.
Surely this small pup would not grow into a wolf like Malek however...no he would have far better upbringing, a fr nicer family. She was just being paranoid that was all, paranoid and unreasonable. At least that's what she tried to tell herself anyways and cleared her throat a bit to help settle her nerves. "I don't know if its a good idea for young pup such as yourself to be wandering alone" She told him in what she tried to make a stern voice but which likely sounded more like a nervous twitter. "I was just..just looking for some herbs, in case someone gets hurt..we're running low on a few of them" She continued on rather unsure why she felt the need to explain herself to a pup. Perhaps because he was male - old habits die hard they say and they couldn't always be outrun.

Looking for herbs? To heal people? This was the first he had ever heard of such a thing. So, naturally, it piqued the interest of his ever-inquisitive mind. If there was one thing that never failed to fascinate this pup, it was new information. He lived to learn about the world of adults so that, when he grew up, he would already know what he needed to know. So he could be useful. Good for the pack. Well, that, and he just loved to learn about anything and everything. Thus, he could often be found shadowing adults. But what about this wolf?
Ki Adi still seemed edgy. Of him or something else, he could not say for certain, but the point stood. She was edgy and thus she might not be willing to spend much time talking to him. But neither did he derive pleasure from spending time with those who found him…unnerving. Still, if she was gathering medicinal herbs, she must surely have useful knowledge. Knowledge that he did not have. Knowledge that would be very valuable. Surely that made it worth the effort. The least he could do was try.
“What kind of herbs?” he asked. “How do they work?”
