Time went on and the ties between the two brothers, and seeing them off.. Too bad they weren't around. Something had happened that would change Lin's life forever. She walked slowly up to her parents' den, happily walking straight up to the den, sniffing and joyously squeeking in to the den. Yue and Lin didn't make their den too far after all. She loved her parents so and today was the stepping stone of hurt. Ming had long since left and she rarely kept in contact, though that saddened Lin- it didn't completely make her go down, not like what would happen.. "She's ...gone." The devestation of her being gone her mother.. "Wha- what do you mean she is gone.. Gone where!? Is she ok!?" The pain started to surge in her veins. The pain was slowly coming and setting in, she knew Ming was already, she'd send her avian to tell her but mother.. Smashing her paws in to the ground as she ran through the cave. "mother.. ! Mother!?" Yelling.. and Lin hardly ever spoke louder than her usual inside voice.. "Mother!!!!" She cried out and when she couldn't find her... running everywhich way.. Something cracked, this girl almost never felt hurt or pain in her life was now setting what seemed to be the first hurt in her life.
His ears perked when he heard her voice. Something was wrong. He never heard her shout. Ever. He didn't even know her voice could get that loud. He started to run towards her. He didn't have to go very far, but he still ran as fast as he could. This wasn't like her at all. "Lin?" he called out, when he spotted her outside her parents den.
As if her father couldn't help. She just cried.. and when she was even touched in the slightest, she ran in to jungle home, far from the clearing that housed her father's den..Getting pushed around by the trees and bushes. Running in to things and tripping til her paws bled of the many twigs that pierced her pads.. she still and tears rolled down her face.. It felt.. like her whole chest fell in to her stomach as she curled up in a ball.. Whimpering.. "How could she just leave us.." We're we good enough to keep? Like a child.. she was hurt by it.. Her fantasy happy world.. Crushed.
Yue followed her from a distance. He wanted to give her the space she needed. He knew she was hurting, and didn't want to leave her alone. When she finally stopped, he stood behind her, and just watched. He didn't have any comforting words to give, and he didn't know what he should do. He slowly walked up beside her, and lie down. He wasn't close enough to touch her, but he was close enough to be able to hear her whisper.
For a while.. she cried out.. Barking out the 'whys' and 'was she worth it', maybe this was emotional for everyone else but she always had mum and pa.. and now.. she didn't have a mum. Not to look after.. nothing.. She calmed almost an hour or so in to it when her tear ducts were swallon.. Then slowly she lifted her head up,.. turning to Yue.. Ears back.. Asking.. 'Will you leave me too'- in her eyes. 'Am I worth leaving' ~.
He let her vent, and looked at her with a worried look, "No." He said softly, "I'd never leave you." he said as he reached out a paw, and placed it gently on hers.
Sniffling and when he put his paw on hers. The heat rushed from her paw and on to her cheeks. Still hurt, it was comforting and made her dodge at him and tackle him for the fear of losing him too. Snuggling him and whimpering all at once.. "If you ever did I think I will die.. Not even Lady Val could save me.." Her voice so soft and painful. Maybe this is what Yue felt like.. "What was.. your family like." After a great silence, she asked. She had asked before but .. Yue of course was new to her family then.. but now.. Had they even got close enough to share the burden?

He smiled lightly when he tackled her, and nuzzled against her, holding her close so she wouldn't feel alone. He looked at her with a surprised look at her question. Taking a moment to think, he looked off into the distance. "To tell you the truth, I don't remember my family. At least, not a lot." He said as he looked down at his paws. "I vaguely remember my mothers sent. But her face is just a blur." He said as he looked into her violet eyes.
Her ears fanned back.. when he held her close. Something almost heartbreaking when she clung so close. Coiling up in a ball against him. Draping her head over his arm before he spoke. Which made her eyes closed almost immediately. Hearing him, and blankly imagening it to keep her mind busy from thinking about her own mother. Who would she curl up and tell about the flowers to? What the trees talked about. What would happen.. Yue.. she didn't want to bore him.
Mother was always there.. and that's when she realized that.. she was at least lucky to have her. Remember her.. hug her. How long had he been with her family? It shook her inwardly. "I.. almost forgot." Sighing softly. "I'm sorry.. I feel so..spoiled." Looking up at him. "Compared to you.. I'm still a cub. I just... didn't want my mommy to leave..Your so strong.. I wouldn't know.. what to do without her." Tears beckoned in her eyes.. "I'm sorry. Just don't leave me.. don't leave me. Promise we'll stay together forever." The same promise they did so long ago- repeating it just made it oh so sure now that they would be forever.. Unlike her mother whom broke that promise.
He gave her a tender smile. and dried her oncoming tears with his paw. "Don't worry, I won't leave you." He said as he licked her cheek lightly, and held her closer, "I promise." He said softly as he looked out to the distance, frowning. What kind of mother would leave her daughter like this? Knowing how attached she was. Something wasn't right. But he wouldn't think too much about it. He needed to be here for Lin. And the only way to do that was to help comfort her. "I promise..." He repeated in a softer voice.
With everything setting on her shoulders, with his reassurance.A soft chirping sound came from her as she let some of it out. They probably stayed there for about thirty minutes in silence before she finally lifted her body and rubbed at her face. Sniffling, she looked back at the direction the den where father was.. He seemed to take it better than she did. A lot better. Shaking her face. Sniffling more. ".... Are you hungry. I'm hungry. Let's eat some.. 'meat' or something." She really didn't agree to eat meat or be the first to intitate it but she needed to get away somehow. Trying to puff up her chest and push to be the fluffy ball of energy she was. It was a strain for her and one could see it plastered acress her face. That fake smile..

He continued to lay there with her. Just being there for her. He couldn't imagine what she was going through, but he promised her he'd be there, and thats just what he was planning to do. He blinked a few times when she started to sit up, and smiled lightly, "You sure you'll be alright?" he asked, knowing the answer. "Come on." he said as he stood, and ushered her with his head. "I know a great spot around here where gazelle like to graze this time of day." He was a little more talkative than usual. "Maybe you could help me catch it?"
Almost utterly blank of the thought of hunting something down, she agreed without fault. "Yea I can try." Nodding and on all fours circled around him before she made her way after him. He was her teacher today instead of the other way around. Usually talking to him about the plants and what Val taught her. Days like thoughs, she didn't ever fear anything.. now she feared being alone and he was still there. Now even when they were adults from when they made the promise.. 'Don't break it.' She thought to herself as she leaned against him as they walked. Staying close to his side.
He smiled lightly as they went off to get some food. He really was worried about her. He wondered what would happen to her now. If she would still be the same Lin he fell in love with. He hoped so. There couldn't be two gloom ones in this relationship; at least, it was starting to feel like a relationship. He would be there for her. Even when she didn't want him to. He wasn't going to abandon her like her mother did.
