I decided to change my username.
No longer am I GoldenSparrow by name, though I am still at heart.
Preferably I would have chose a simple 'Sparrow', but, of course, it was already taken.

Just for kicks, I thought it might be of some interest to someone to hear the back story to my original username. Maybe not. Guess we'll find out.

The name Golden Sparrow came to me in the 7th grade Language Arts (also known as English) classroom. We were reading a play called The Forbidden Kingdom. The movie came out in 2008 and was hugely cheesy with Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Michael Angarano... but... back to the play-reading. I got the part of Golden Sparrow, the main female character who, of course, the main male character falls in love with. I suppose the part that really connected me to Golden Sparrow was that our class joker had the part of the main male character. We all laughed when he got all dramatic pretending to hold me in his arms as my character died.

*Shakes head.* So, there's the story to my old username. My new username, I suppose doesn't have much of a story. The fact that I'm an honest person, or somewhat of the original Sparrow (true being a synonym for original) might do it.

Anyway, please welcome
True Sparrow
as the new username of your (hopefully?) beloved guild Captain!

Now, let's hear the story behind your username!

8Hehe that's cute!
Mine isn't that long, my mother wanted to give me two middle names, One being Echo, the poor greek woman who feel in love with Narsisuss. Later on in life I had a cute idea to write a short story about the childeren of "Echo" people who had stories just like hers. I wanted all my characters to be greek so I started looking through a greek baby name book online and came across the name Chruse meaning "Golden one". After awhile I put Echo and Chruse together and came up with my main charry, but my story got no where and I remembered I needed a Gaia account name. And so Echo Chruse comes to be on gaia.
Course I have no idea how to pronounce Chruse! Fail I know >.<

I like your story!
biggrin
Names intrigue me. I'm often found searching through random Celtic/European name lists on the internet. I use them for my character names sometimes, too!

Just wanted to add that I found something strange in Fred Meyer's today.... apparently there is a handbag company called Sparrow True. This bothered me. A lot. So I stole the tag.

Hmmm... I don't really have a story behind my current username... is that bad?

Though, I do have one (Although short) for my original username 's m i l e s - c h a n' haha I still attempt to log in with it sometimes before catching myself. xD

Anyway, in sixth grade I switched schools. For some EXTREMELY odd reason I had no trouble making friends. (I'm generally fairly shy) and by the end of the first day I had made probably six new friends, if I remember correctly. We're all still friends now, four years later, despite the fact that two have moved away and one went out of country for a year. In this group of friends, I have always been the cheery one that kinda serves as a therapist of sorts. xP I listen to problems and give my best advice. Anyway, I was always smiling, despite what happened to myself or others. I would always put on a brave face to help everyone else recover, and so I was nicknamed both "Giggle Girl" and "Smiley". So my username SMILES. Sadly, that was taken, so my friend and I tried le s m i l e s. Similar to her username. That didn't work, either. Luckily enough for me, I had discovered manga that year! yay me! I found the honorific "-chan" extremely adorable so I tacked that onto the end of my username and found "s m i l e s - c h a n"! It worked, so I kept it.

Then, a couple years later, I grew up slightly, and began examining the usernames around me. (Plus I had a little hacking incident that I didn't want to happen again.) Noticing that my username sounded so... childish... compared to others, I decided to come up with something a bit more mature-sounding. I couldn't think of anything. At the time, and I still am, I was a bit obsessed with sarcastically saying the word "Lovely" in certain situations. So I decided to use that as part of my username, as it sounded mature enough to me. I'm not sure what inspired it, but I thought using "Whispering" would sound pretty awesome in a username as well. Though, I came to an obstacle in my search for the perfect username. I would have to choose between the two! I couldn't use both! ... Or could I? Thusly, Whispering_Lovely was born. (Because Lovely_Whispering didn't sound as cool, mainly)

Those are the stories of how my username(s) came to be! Hope you enjoyed 'em~
