User ImageIt was the strangest thing, really. The farther that Dvija got from his home, the clearer things seemed to get. The perpetual fog that seemed to linger in his mind faded into nothingness. It was unnerving and unnatural and Dvija wasn't sure what it meant. All that he knew was the more time he spent away from his pride, the less that he wanted to return to it.

The sun seemed brighter, the clouds fluffier, the sky bluer and the breeze crisper during the day; on nights like tonight the stars seemed more vibrant and the moon the purest thing he'd ever seen. He'd been gone a long while now, and he'd finally stumbled upon the ocean. He took a long moment to watch the waves break upon the shore, to inhale of the bitter and salty sea air. He kept his eyes closed for a long, long time before he opened them up once more and just stared at the bounty of the sea that spread out before him.

She was staring at the ocean from a large, smooth rock that lay in the water, but stuck out far above it. It was well away from the crashing waves and the white foam. She liked just sitting up on this rock, just to stare out at the ocean with the moonlight lighting it up with the stars. She could really appreciate beauty. She liked beautiful things.

However there was movement that wasnt of the ocean. She had to narrow her eyes to focus them, as she was almost sure waves didnt move such as that. But once she saw it was a lion, she perked a bit, cocking her head interested. He was quite beautiful if she was able to believe he was the ocean. What wonders she would have if her future offspring looked like their homelands. She grinned, her eyes gleaming with the possibilities. Leaping from her rock in one graceful bound, she splashed quietly into the water below that covered her paws.

A splash sounded that stood out amongst the rhythmic waves of the ocean, and Dvija narrowed those bright blue eyes of his. He immediately peered out towards movement that caught his attention. A lioness, barely visible by the opalescent light of the moon. She was moving his way, and as she came closer Dvija was instantly taken by her beauty. A lady of the sea, a Goddess come to taunt him.

He enjoyed beautiful things such as this female, and that appreciation was made evident by the gleam in his eyes. A gift from the sea. Dvija remained silent, convinced that if he spoke she would disappear into nothingness.

She noticed when he turned to look at her, and she swayed over rather slowly, almost as if she was floating rather than walking. The fog over the ocean rolled by from under her feet, giving her an almost ethereal sort of look. Her sapphire eyes glittered as she stared at the ocean marked male. The closer she got, the more beautiful he looked. She had a feeling that convincing him to follow her wouldn't be a hard one. He didn't seem the type to turn her down. If he did, well she would deal with that then. Even if it wouldnt be pleasant.

Before she made it to him, her voice started humming, echoing over the water. Her tune was low, rhythmic, almost seductive.

"You, you are of the ocean." She purred, circling him and looking him over.

Dvija chuckled softly, fighting the urge to follow her slow stroll around his big frame. She moved with a grace that he'd never seen before. It was almost mesmerizing how she moved. He was instantly attracted to her. It felt like a string connected something in his chest to hers, something that resulted in a magnetic pull that he couldn't resist.

"My mother is of the ocean, as am I," he agreed. Dvija looked nearly identical to his beloved mother. "You are a tempest," he added, "I can see it in your eyes. A beautiful sea-storm. Even one with no sight could recognize you as such."

His nostrils flared as he took in her scent. She smelled salty and fresh, a smell so addicting in its own right. He had never felt this way about another before in his life.

She knew he was watching her movements, mainly because she was watching his. For different reasons altogether though. She was watching to make sure she had him ensnared.

When he started talking her up, she knew she had him. With an enticing gaze, half lidded and all for him, she grinned. "Oh how very right you are." She purred, her voice light and lovely. Almost a song in tone.

"And you are like a wild ocean wave. You're my sailor, arent you?" She asked, swaying a bit and stood close, though just out of reach.

Dvija was drawn to the temptress like a moth would be to flame, his own eyes growing heavy of lid and seductive in their own right. She had him wrapped around her paw and he knew it, but he didn't mind. He couldn't complain for he was sure he was exactly where he was meant to be.

"Aye," he said with light mirth, leaning towards his ocean siren. "A wild ocean wave crashing against the soft curve of your shore, my Tempest." They hadn't exchanged names, and Dvija didn't feel the need to introduce himself. He was a wild ocean wave and she was a Tempest.

There was nothing more that needed to be said.

"I am lost in your song," he said a little breathlessly, yearning to move closer and yet ... enjoying the attraction that sparked between the two of them.

She rubbed against him, her fur soft and well cared for. She did it slowly, before pulling back and letting her long tail fluff play along his legs. She had never met someone that was as firey as this male. She had even met many pirates but none had sparked this much want within her. She didnt love him, but she certainly wanted him.

"That sounds like a promise you had better keep." She winked, and began walking towards the shadows, her eyes daring him to follow. She was indeed a Tempest, and she didnt feel the need to give her name either. She felt the same as he, he was an ocean wave, and she was quite okay with Tempest.

"Are you going to follow me, my wild ocean wave? Or are you going to make me leave alone." Her voice was soft, but her eyes dared him to say no. She really hoped he didnt. She wanted him willing.

Dvija chuckled, the sound low and husky. She didn't have to say anything more, and neither did he. The big lion merely rose to his feet and indicated with his eyes that he would follow wherever she led him. He didn't want promises of the future or declarations of love. He wanted her and that was all he needed.

Her.

Dvija did not want to think about what tomorrow would bring, or the day after. It didn't matter to Dvija. Only this moment did, and the moments that would follow. He'd never experienced anything like this before and he would not let this moment pass him by.

When she led him away to the shadows, she let out a low laugh. One that sounded a bit devious and not so nice. But she rubbed against him and winked. She would make sure he stayed around for a few days. She needed to make sure this worked, she wanted babies that were born of the ocean. The thought made her heart pound with excitement.

"My jolly sailor bold." She sang, and then they were lost into the shadows, the only sounds the cry of the gulls and the rush of the ocean waves.
