_______Not some stupid wallflower, for certain. I'm tough and capable, and I view others with suspicion. They are so often thieves and liars, and it is better to rely on myself. For this reason I don't expect any special favors from people. Never do I give them, either, and if you come to me hoping for unearned sympathy... forget it. I dislike strict discipline, but what is most unpleasant in the world is being talked down to.

_______I come from a small village in Ukraine, the kind where everyone is related and all the young people flee as soon as they're old enough. I should know. I was one of them. But hold that thought for a moment. Simply know I am from a poor place in the country.
_______My mother got pregnant when she was fifteen, and then her boyfriend wouldn't marry her. Just as well, really. He's a mean drunk. She and I lived together for a time with my grandparents, until she took off for the city and left me. My grandparents were worried my background would make me go bad, so they were very strict with me. That just made me want to rebel.
_______When I was fifteen a woman came and offered some of us village girls an opportunity to go to school in Kiev, and I took it without telling anyone. I'm not stupid, I know there are dangers, and I tried very hard to make sure she was telling the truth. She was a VERY good liar, though. The 'recruiter' was really rounding up girls to sell to traffickers. Lots of girls try to fight back when they finally catch on to the scam, and so did I. However, unlike most girls I proved to have a secret weapon.... one I did not know of myself. When I found myself being overpowered, I instinctively lashed out with a wave of high pressure so hard it almost killed everyone else in the room. I was frightened and surprised. I had not known I could do that.
_______Even though I got away, the last few months have been very bad. The police were much angrier about what I did than about the traffickers . That pack of corrupt thieves was probably in on it the whole time. My grandparents turned their backs on me, frightened, and no one knows how to contact my mother. As for my father... pffh. Finally someone found out about Fuyu, and they chose it as good place to get me out of the way. Luckily I was good in English class in school. If it proves too strict I will leave, no matter what the authorities might have to say about it.

_______Control over air pressure. I can make small bolts of high or low pressure and shoot them towards a target, up to thirty feet away. In this way I can knock an opponent off their feet, cause injuries, headaches and sickness, and other smaller things like make their ears pop or ring. I can also add force to a punch by surrounding my fist with a small burst of high pressure.
_______What I did to the traffickers, breaking almost every bone in their bodies and causing great damage to their internal organs, I have never been able to do again. I believe it was so forceful because I was panicked. If I am very angry people around me often begin to feel lightheaded or nauseous. Fortunately for my own self, I seem to be very resistant to pressure changes, whether generated from me or in other ways.
