Awkward was a word that Sailor Pasiphae would often use to describe herself. There was a reason that she usually had her nose stuck in a book and communicated only rarely with people around her. She was friendly enough and certainly concerned with helping others, but... that didn't help her in feeling inadequate when dealing with other people.
Well, take that awkwardness and multiply it by a thousand; that was how she felt at the moment. The Shame Senshi was almost positive that the other Jovians gathered around her could see it. She was not the person used to organizing meetings and calling people, of being more or less "in charge" of a situation, and she didn't want to be used to it, honestly. Still, she thought she had done the right thing. She wouldn't be able to adequately answer Europa's call to form a plan about how to handle individuals corrupted by Chaos who wouldn't be purified on her own. She needed other people to run options with, to discuss what they thought they should do... because she wanted to present something that the other Jovians could, if not agree with, at least respect.
She did her best to keep up a positive, professional face, a small, but welcoming smile accompanying her verbal greeting, "I just want to thank all of you for coming. I know Europa kind of assigned this task to me, but... I think having other people to talk with and hear opinions from will help not only me make this presentation but all of us in deciding what we'd like to do. So... um... I'm not going to run this very formally--just whoever has a question or a suggestion or a comment can speak up."

He wasn't a fighter. The strength that he did have was typically reserved for baseball, but fighting monsters and running from powerful people intent on killing them all was becoming worryingly more common. Valhalla didn't like fighting. He didn't agree with it and he doubted that he ever would. Self-defense, sure. And it wasn't as though he'd never been in fights before! (Apparently people seemed to think he was a douche at times.)
Either way, he offered Pasiphae a small smile when she spoke up, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable. He was fine following her lead. She was quiet but well-spoken when she did voice her opinions. He wasn't really sure if he agreed with Europa assigning tasks to them like they were in school, but he understood the purpose.
"Sounds like a plan," he said in agreement to Pasiphae's suggestion, not minding throwing out comments on things. "We're trying to figure out what to do about those corrupted by Chaos, right...? I think the problem with that is... what are we going to do about them? I mean, we're not going to try and corner them and force them to... be purified, are we? It might get tricky and messy, and I'm not sure how much I want to help with that."
It just... seemed a bit barbaric in his mind.

Ganymede was unsure, not of himself, not even of Pasiphae or the other two that joined him with her, but of how they were going to solve this. It wasn't an easy solution to come up with -- well, it could potentially be, but no solution was perfect. There would always be some flaw in the plan, and he was sure that they could expect Europa, with all her experience, to find it. He was of the opinion that nothing they could do would be without risks of danger or flaws of some kind, but he'd still like to help Pasiphae come up with something that would be worth presenting to the others.
He glanced at Val as he spoke, nodding in agreement, before slowly beginning to speak himself. "Maybe we should only worry about purification when it's absolutely necessary or the receiving party agrees to it," he suggested, twirling his miniature top-hat around in his hands. "If they don't want it, it'll only make us look like the bad guys for forcing it on them.
"Of course, that leaves the question of what we do from there," he continued. If they didn't fight them unless they had to, and they didn't want to kill them, then how did they expect to make any sort of impact? "I talked to Kallichore a little before... about trying to destabilize them from the inside. Talk to them... make them question what they're told... try and incite some sort of uprising or rebellion... They're told a lot of things that aren't true, or, at least, not true about us," he said, and motioned around their small group, as if to specify their collective and not the senshi as a whole.
He couldn't exactly speak for the rest of them.
"But that's assuming they'd actually want to listen to us. Some of them don't like to be contradicted..."

Vindemiatrix had come when Pashiphae had called as he had promised, and was thankful to know that a handful of others were coming as well. He had had no such epiphanies yet, as far as just what their plan could be, but he hoped that the bunch of them together would be able to figure something out.
He had realized, however, with some shame, that he was afraid of running afoul of any of the Negaverse agents, or any of the corrupted senshi, too, for that matter. Vin had just had such little experience with them thus far. Part of him felt like he was not really going to be as much help as he hoped he could be on this whole venture.
But, well. He had promised, and so he was here.
"I'm not sure I'm okay with the idea of forcing anything on them, either," he replied, piping up in response to the ideas posed by the others. "Though I would really like to hope that no one in their right minds is really okay with allying with Chaos." Vindemiatrix stood rather than sitting, and crossed his arms - the only outward indications that he was not at ease.
"Maybe sowing seeds of rebellion would be a good way to start, though," the boy went on. "If there's brainwashing going on, especially magical brainwashing, then I guess it's possible that some of them don't know they've made such a terrible mistake. If they start to question, then they may come to us."
He glanced to Ganymede and nodded slowly, worry crossing his features. "Yeah, that's the only problem, though." Vindemiatrix laughed weakly. "We could print out our own little tracts and leave them around battlefields, maybe." He shrugged a little, knowing that his joking suggestion was really not particularly funny, but really what it sounded like they had to do to spread the information was, in its essence, proselytizing.

Pasiphae was grateful whenever Valhalla jumped into the conversation, visibly relaxing a bit a the page began to speak. It would be much, much easier for her if the others helped her control the flow of the meeting. It took some of the pressure off of her shoulders and made their meeting more conversational, more equal. She didn't want to be in the commander seat, and she was glad that at least for the moment she didn't have to be. The Shame Senshi had been standing while she made the introduction to the meeting, but now she took a seat near her fellow Jovians, brushing off a place on the ground before settling in her spot. Her actions did not mean she was inattentive, though, and she nodded towards Valhalla, "Yes, trying to figure out what to do with those corrupted, whether they're Negaverse or Corrupted Senshi or... the new kind of Corrupted Senshi. Just to clairfy our purpose."
She ran a hand through her hair as first Valhalla, then Ganymede, and then Vin expressed concerns about forcing the purification process onto the unwilling. She shook her head and crinkled her nose in distaste; no, they couldn't purify the unwilling. It was an option, but it wasn't one that she liked... and she was glad that her fellow Jovians didn't seem to like it either. "No... I think we all agree that we can't force them to be purified. If we do that... then we aren't really much better than Chaos, who forced them to be corrupted in the first place. We can't decide what they do, as much as we'd like to do so."
Her eyes were drawn to Ganymede due to his hat's movement, and she listened carefully to what he else he had to suggest and what he and Kallichore had spoken about. She considered this suggestion, and she had only a bit more to contribute to the discussion, "That's cetainly true. I spoke with Carnelian, a corrupted Senshi... and he thought that Senshi were the ones that were dangerous. That we would destroy property just because we could or assault people... I couldn't convince him at all that that wasn't true, no matter how I tried. So perhaps finding a way to make them doubt... to see the truth instead of what they've been brainwashed into believing? That could make them seek purification, yes..." The memory of her time with the Corruped Senshi was... painful, and she didn't want to dwell on it. The mere memory of the holes in his chest and head made her shiver, and she rubbed her arms as though cold.
Vindemiatrix took her attention next, and he seemed to be laregely in agreement with everything Ganymede had said. That didn't make his contribution any less valuable--if anything, it indicated that they were thinking in similiar patterns and that there was probably some strength to what all of them were thinking. But... knowing this, how was it supposed to help them purify those that didn't even want to believe they had been corrupted? Her arm rubbing detiorated to picking at the detailing of her gloves. She looked directly at the Senshi of Wine and took his suggestion seriously, as jokingly as it had been offered, "Vin, if I thought they'd read them... I'd print them out myself. Maybe... we could do something similiar if we could just get them to talk about it? Think about it? Then, if they discuss it with each other... it'll spread on its own? I don't know... I just don't know..."

Valhalla nodded every so often to let the others know that he was listening. He could definitely agree with what they were saying, but there was still the problem with spreading information. There had to be something they could do and not end up preaching their views. They couldn't force people to listen, but they still needed to strive to be heard.
"Printing out tracts and leaving them around for people to pick up might be faster than trying to corner them and talk to them," he spoke up, wondering just how it would look if they posted things like that for people to see. He turned to Pasiphae, offering her a small smile in understanding. He knew she wanted to talk peacefully, but would that be enough.
"Don't get me wrong. I completely agree that we should try and discuss things with those involved. And then there's the problem with whether or not people will read anything we print or not," he said, glancing over to Ganymede as well. "It's too slow, though. It'll be too risky to talk to them, and if we did, we'd have to plan it so we get out of it alive. We need a way to get the word out quickly. And not just to try and destabilize them from the inside. If we can figure out a way to educate people before they're pulled into a world they may not even know about, we might be able to stop the others from recruiting new members, willingly or not."
Now they just needed to figure out how to do that. "I didn't even know all of this existed until the night I became this," he told them, using a hand to indicate himself as Valhalla. "I was lucky to have someone to explain things to me... but others..." he went on, turning to offer a sympathetic look to Ganymede, "Others weren't as lucky." He knew Ganymede had had a rough time when he'd been awoken... and he didn't know how it was for Vindemiatrix or Pasiphae... but he didn't want others to be thrown blindly into things like that any more.

Listening intently to the conversation at hand, Ganymede quickly began to envision ways in which to spread the word among both senshi and Negaverse agents alike. This is who were are, and this is what we stand for. His initial thoughts, like the others, consisted of little more than printed pamphlets. Those wouldn't be difficult to get their hands on. There was a large printer at his dad's store, and he knew how to work the software well enough to put together at least a basic layout for a pamphlet. They could drop them randomly during battles, or shove them into random people's mail boxes in the hopes that they'd reach someone involved. He'd lost count of the amount of religious groups that came around the neighborhood or utilized methods like that, to varying degrees of success.
But Val was right. It was too slow, and there was always the (very likely) chance that people wouldn't even bother to read it. He tended to throw pamphlets away himself. He wouldn't expect anyone to take it all that seriously, or waste the time to do much more than ball it up and throw it in the garbage.
No, they needed something that attracted a little more attention.
He considered somehow getting on the television, but decided he'd rather not show his face. It was too dangerous. If certain people didn't like what they did or said, being so visible would make it easier to track them down.
"What if," he began slowly, formulating the idea as he spoke, "we tried to reach out to a larger audience instead of talking to people one-on-one? There's always the radio and internet. We wouldn't even have to reveal who we are as individuals, but we could still say 'Hey, we're the Jovians' to sort of make ourselves seem like a more legitimate group if we needed to. Of course, it wouldn't be too hard to figure out who some of us are at that point since 'Jovian' implies some of us have a connection to Jupiter..." He stared off into space as he continued to think, wondering if they could make something like that work or not. "It'd allow us anonymity, but make it so we can reach more people at once, and we wouldn't be forcing anyone to listen, just the people who want to. I mean, it doesn't solve the immediate problem, but it gives us an outlet..."

"Oh, I was mostly kidding about the tracts," he clarified, gesturing as though to wave the idea away. He had been on the receiving end of them plenty of times himself, and had disregarded them all, as well. In part because they had nothing at all good to say about what he was doing with himself in the now. Of course, Vin suspected there was a right way and a wrong way to present such information, as with anything else, but it came down to the fact that there was no nice way to tell someone that, ultimately, what they were doing was evil.
The Senshi of Wine nodded in agreement that forcing purification on anyone was also not the answer.
Ganymede's next suggestion surprised him, though. "Internet can be traced, though, can't it?" he asked. "We'd have to be really careful that we really can keep our anonymity." Vin paused, then added, "I mean, it's a good idea, but I'm sure the Negaverse would want nothing more than to find out who we are out of uniform, and if we leave any sort of internet paper-trail, it could be very dangerous...."

"Those are all fair points, Valhalla," Pasiphae admitted, a ghost of a smile appearing in response to his own. "I hadn't even thought about people who could potentially get sucked into corruption that we could save... it's really like we're having two seperate audiences: those already taken by Chaos and those that could be. That... complicates things a little. Maybe if we focused our efforts simply on education? That way if the Corrupted are told lies... they'll have another source, something to talk about, and we can spread the word to everyday people at the same time." It sounded great coming out of her mouth, but even the Shame Senshi could see what was wrong with this idea, and it showed as her smile faded somewhat. "Of course... I'm not sure how best to do that... especially if we don't think the pamphlets will work..."
Her voice trailed off into silence as her mind rushed to come up with a solution. Bowing out of the conversation allowed her to listen to what the other Senshi had to say as well as buy herself some time. She turned her full attention to Ganymede when he spoke, her marroon eyes brightening with excitement at his proposition. A radio broadcast... and then a podcast? That would allow anonymity, a larger audience, and even potential repeat performances; as long as the website hosted the podcast, anyone could listen to it at any time. She leaned forward slightly when she addressed Ganymede, and another smile was on her face, "That's a great idea! We could broadcast to whoever wanted to listen, and then the news would spread with word of mouth. Having an archive of podcasts so that anyone can access them at any time would allow people to share the information quickly and easily. And anyone would be able to get the information. Our anonymity could be further protected if we rotated the broadcasts among everyone who wanted to participate, too--that way no one voice would be associated as 'the' Jovian."
Pasiphae curbed her enthusiasm for the moment, wanting to give the other Jovians at the meeting a chance to chime in as well. Vin offfered a security concern, and it was certainly a legitimate one. She rubbed beneath her chin with the back of her hand as she thought aloud, "I've never really build a website, so I don't know all the details... but surely there'd be some way where we could do it so they couldn't find us?" The question was addressed to no one in particular - just whoever could help figure it out.

Valhalla stared at Ganymede in surprise at his suggestion, not because he didn't think Ganymede capable of coming up with things like that, but he was wondering why he hadn't thought of something like that, himself.
"I like that idea... Using the internet, or at least a podcast. That way we can present it without giving away who we are if we don't want to." He agreed with Vindemiatrix that that it would be very dangerous to try and do, but it might work with what they want to do. "If we move locations every time we post something, switching IP addresses and such... I think we can protect ourselves. Never broadcast from the same place, twice. We could even record things ahead of time and then broadcast at a set date. That way if we want to have several things backed up in case we can't afford to record anything one week, for whatever reason." Like, if they had to get out of one place and find somewhere safer.
"Okay, so we all agree that forced purification is a bad thing... I hope the others agree as well. I don't really want to get into arguments about it with teammates..." That had trouble written all over it.
"I'll bet there has to be someone in the group good with computers," he said with a grin directed towards Pasiphae. It was the benefits of having a well diverse group. "I should probably come up with something else to call ourself than just 'Jovian', though... Especially since we're not all from the Jupiter system," he said, offering a small smile to the senshi of wine, knowing that he wasn't one, and nor was his boyfriend.
Eh... how such a nice guy could stand Babylon, he doubted he would ever know...

Ganymede blushed faintly when at least Valhalla and Pasiphae immediately latched onto the idea -- which hadn't been so much as an idea he'd been formulating as a sudden thought he'd had right then. It wasn't that he was embarrassed to have them considering it. He was actually sort of proud to have come up with something, however basic a beginning it was right now. It was just that he wasn't used to offering help and ideas, and now that he had and at least two of his allies were responding to it positively, he thought maybe this senshi thing didn't have to be so difficult after all.
"There's got to be a way to scramble the IP address," he agreed with Valhalla in response to Vindemiatrix's concern. "We'd have to be very, very careful with it, but I don't think it's impossible. We'd just have to work out all the little details ahead of time and make sure we've hidden ourselves as best we can. Because you're right. Once they get wind of it, they'd probably want to shut it down, and then anyone involved would be in danger."
He didn't want to put anyone in danger. He didn't want to put himself in danger. But they had to get the information out there somehow, and he'd rather do it in such a way as to not be seen, and to where he could still hide his name -- civilian and powered -- in the process.
"Maybe it'd be best not to say who we are, at least in situations like that. You know, come up with code names, for ourselves and the group, so that they wouldn't know who to target. Either way, we need to do something, even if it's not that. The Negaverse could be misinformed, some of the senshi could be misinformed, and normal people... we need to have a better reputation with them, too. We need to reassure people that we stand for certain things, we need to tell them what our goals are."
He paused, looking around their small group.
"Not that we've really decided on things like that yet... at least not as a group... but when we do... we need a way to tell people that this is who we are, this is what we believe, and this is what we're trying to achieve."

Vindemiatrix pinched his bottom lip between two fingers, mulling over the idea as he looked to the others in turn to hear their input on it as well. He was hardly the computer expert, either, but it was not like it would be too difficult to find out more on the internet, or perhaps from the other Jovians or their friends.
He laughed a little at the idea of pre-recorded messages. "Move from place to place to make our recordings, put them out randomly, perhaps with some fanfare so our audience knows when to listen out.... We do sound like terrorists, don't we." Then he shook his head. "Sorry.
"But taking turns recording sounds like a good idea, though," he went on. "And as for location, we can't really do it at anyone's house, and that means anyone's. If the negaverse manages to track an IP somewhere, we don't want them attacking innocent people any more than we want them attacking us." Green eyes scanned he others, as Vin realized he had no concept of who his allies were outside of uniform. And so he was hesitant as he went on to suggest, "Do you think we could try to pool up some money to buy ourselves a laptop with a built-in camera? That would be portable, at least. Make it easier to figure out the 'where' part."

Pasiphae laced her fingers together and rested her chin on her hands, a clear look of concentration on her face. The idea of not being called a Jovian... well, she certainly understood where Valhalla was coming from. But that was the name under which they had gathered, the name that Europa had (perhaps unofficially) decided would be the link between them. On some level, it resonated with her. Still... she didn't want anyone to be uncomfortable or to risk splintering the team that had so recently formed. Words had power; Pasiphae, as a debater, could understand that well. So, she offered, "Maybe we can bring it up at the next meeting. I'd like to think... that anyone who wanted could be a Jovian just by helping us, but I think we all want everyone to feel welcome"
A frown crossed her face at Vin's joke despite his apology, though the emotion wasn't directed towards him in particular. She was thinking of the few Negaverse agents she had met in the past, the one Corrupted Senshi, all of whom had said she was on the wrong side, that the Senshi were the evil ones, the destructive ones. For Vin, it was a joke, because he knew what it was to be a Senshi. But to the other people in Destiny City... it could very well be a reality. All the more reason to get started on telling the truth to as many people as would listen. This thought process made her comment on Ganymede's idea of code names as she said, "I agree, Ganymede; we need to be clear in forming and presenting our idealogy. But... aren't our Senshi identies... code names, of sorts? I understand the need for secrecy; I don't want to put anyone in danger. I just... I guess I worry that if we hide ourselves even more in the podcast that the people of the city won't have any real trust in Senshi as a whole. Does... does that make sense?"
Pasiphae despertely wished she had thought to bring a notebook and a pen; she was going to have to try and dictate all of these ideas and subtleties from memory. But at least she wasn't tackling the problem alone! She never would have been able to get as far as they were now without the other Senshi around her. Her own ideas prior to this meeting had been vague, at best. The idea of a jail, for example, which she knew was unfeasible. Podcasts, information spreading... that was better, more workable, something they could actually pull off. "I think all of those ideas need to be incorporated somehow--alternating location, speaker, having some saved up in case of an emergency, having our own computer. It sounds like... we've got a pretty solid idea to present, even if some of the kinks need to still be worked out."

"No, I agree," Valhalla said in response to Pasiphae's comment about wanting everyone to feel welcome. "Like... Vindemiatrix," he said, turning to one of the young men standing there with them. "You're not connected to Jupiter in a mythological or astronomical sense, are you? I don't think that should matter. I think anyone should be made to feel welcome, as long as we're all fighting for the same thing... or not fighting, whatever your personal stance on that is," he added, knowing some, like himself, would rather hold off from fighting until the last possible moment. He would rather not see any blood spilled, innocent or otherwise, but he also wasn't stupid enough to think that everyone had the same kind of ideals that he had.
He nodded to Ganymede as well, thinking he was right as well. "I think it'll be important to start gathering information and really work on finding the truth of things..." he said, although he was pretty sure that was an unspoken thing. Of course they would need to do that, and he felt a little silly for saying things that didn't really need to be said. But protecting themselves would be best.
On the topic of terrorists, though, he frowned as well, wishing there was something that could be done to change that. Why were they always the terrorists when they were trying to protect people...? But now wasn't time to dwell on that. It was just something to be changed one step at a time.
"A laptop that can pick up WiFi in places that won't link to innocent people... Think we could get some kind of connection at the city dump?" he half joked, before deciding it wasn't really a good thing to joke about. But trying to keep this stuff as separated from innocents as possible was... important.
"We shouldn't be standing around for too long," he mumbled, mostly to himself as he glanced around to see if there was anything he could sense. But they seemed to be alone... for now... He was also tempted to go ahead and power down, if only to lose one of the energy signals... It wasn't like Pasiphae and Ganymede didn't already know who he was, after all...

"If we want, I guess we can go ahead and bring this idea up as a suggestion the next time we all meet, but I don't imagine it'd get off the ground for a while, not when we already have plenty of other stuff to figure out," Ganymede said, looking around at the three who joined him, not sure where he wanted to focus when he was speaking to all of them at once. "We still have things to decide on as a group first. I mean, we've only had one meeting so far... I think what we want to do will become more cohesive once we've all sat down and figured out what we all want to stand for as a group."
He was at least happy that they were getting somewhere. They might not have figured out how to answer Europa's challenge exactly, but coming out of this with at least one idea was better than coming out of it with nothing at all.
"At least we've got a bit of a start," he said. "It's something to work with, it's something to aim for, whether or not we ever get there. Being able to work together like this is about as important as actually succeeding in what we want to do, so I think we're doing pretty good so far."
He was trying to be as positive as he could about this team effort thing. He wasn't used to working in a team and didn't know how well he was doing, but he supposed support and encouragement was a good place to start, all while keeping the realities of the situation in mind.
Ganymede glanced at Valhalla, then the other two again when the page became concerned about drawing attention to themselves. "Was there anything else we needed to discuss? Any other ideas? I think we sort of got a little off track, even if we ended up making something out of it."
