Haven woke to the creeping of sunlight, her body sore in several odd places. Her yellow green eyes blinking rapidly as she didn't recognize her surroundings. This was not her home, not even close to it...where the hell was she?
Haven moved slightly and bumped into a warm body, looking over she saw dark hair, and a masculine looking muzzle. Her body shook slightly with the cold realization of what she'd done the night prior. Something was seriously off and now she was asleep next to some stallion she didn't even know. Thoughts flew through her mind at an alarming pace, her body moving with a mind of it's own as she stood up, this was bad, oh so very bad. Cad would kill her, her mother would be disappointed....and Meyra...Meyra would laugh...
Anger rose up inside of her as she looked at the sleeping stallion, this was HIS fault. He was the idiot something had happened with, and now she was going to wake him up and let him have it. Haven knew it had likely been her idea, but he could have had a spine enough to say no, "Sleeping beauty, WAKE UP!" She gave him a less than gently nudge with her hoof to get him started on being awake.

 Mmmm…
Grass.
Sweet, succulent, juicy grass…
With every big bite Deanneth received a mouthful of green, refreshing goodness. As he hungrily tore at the soft blades, they separated readily from their roots, eliminating the gritty sensation of dirt between the stallion’s teeth. Each blade was bursting with verdant deliciousness. Overhead, the sun beat warmly down on his back; warm, but not uncomfortable. Beneath him, the ground was firm and supportive, but soft enough to cradle his big hooves. The springy carpet of luscious grass and fragrant wildflowers radiated coolness and surrounded him with the comfortable scent of safety.
It was a simple moment, but quite enjoyable; the perfect lazy summer day.
In the midst of the large stallion’s simple bliss, a large rabbit with huge, intelligent eyes, hopped up to him and plopped it’s big, cotton tail down right in front of his nose. As he continued to relish his lunch (which curiously did nothing to stave off the little hunger pain he felt growing in his belly), the rabbit stared at him expectantly. The stallion continued to eat, flicking his ear awkwardly, until he could take it no longer. Just as he lifted his head, the rabbit opened its mouth and yelled at him.
"Sleeping beauty, WAKE UP!"
With a flail of his hooves, Deanneth started awake and immediately regretted it. His eyes slammed shut again at the onslaught of light and he lay there on the ground for a moment, processing the situation. The first thing that he observed was that his mouth was dry and sticky; he no doubt had morning breath. Secondly, he was starving. Third, his body ached… he had pains in muscles that he didn’t even know he had. Fourth, he had no idea where was.
Fifth, and most importantly he thought as he slowly opened his eyes to take in his surroundings, was that there was a very angry mare standing over him. He blinked stupidly at her a couple times, his sleep-addled brain not quite at firing capacity yet. Fuzzy images of the previous night came back to him and slowly, the pieces began to fall together…
Shame, embarrassment, worry and confusion all fought for dominance within him, but Dean didn’t know what to say, so he kept his mouth shut and settled on getting himself upright. Carefully, he got his hooves beneath him and pushed himself to a standing position; all the better to run if the mare decided to take action…

His eyes were open now, and he was upright, obviously he was bewildered at what had happened, well this was going to be short, "Morning." She sighed it was obvious she couldn't be really angry at him since he was obviously cowering rather than being some boisterous stallion.
"So, I think it's safe to say we may have done something last night that was a bit rash. Not that I have any idea as to why in the heck we would have done something like that, but given soreness..." She glowered a bit, feeling rather stupid with what had happened, she then noticed her lizard lurking about. She sighed again, the look in his eyes was one that meant, they had surely been involved. Her lizard scrambled up her leg and into her, giving the stallion a dirty look as he did so, "May as well figure on names. I'm Haven." Her voice was gruff as she spoke, the irritation with herself rising the more she thought about it.

A small measure of relief crept its way past all the other emotions Dean felt as he realized the mare, Haven, was not nearly so angry as he'd first thought. Still, that didn't change what he'd done.
His name? Now there was a question he could answer. "Dean." He replied quickly, relieved to know the answer to at least one of the many questions hanging in the air. It took half a moment for his sense and manners to catch up with him and he amended his answer, "Deanneth Chamberland, but everyone just calls me Dean. It's a-" He trailed off weakly. He'd been about to say that it was a pleasure to make her acquaintance, but given the circumstances...
Deanneth eyed Haven's lizard friend warily as he sought the words to continue. "Miss Haven, I... Well, I-I'm not sure what- ...what I mean to say is-" Words seemed to evade him; how could he make amends for something he couldn't remember? His head lowered shamefully, his accented voice apologetic, "I don't really remember what happened between us, but given the circumstances... I'm so sorry, Miss."

"Dean." That was a name she was not going to like for a long time. She could have laughed at his little faux pas, with almost saying it was a pleasure to meet her. She sighed, that was a laugh and a half considering what happened. But then...he was busily cowering and trying to apologize. Her eyebrow twitched as her lizard scrambled up her leg and into the ratted mess that was her hair.
Haven, could accept his apology, and move on, or she could let him have hell for it, her pale eyes looked at him and she snorted, "Given circumstances I don't think sorry is quite enough to make up for it." She mumbled a bit, "Look, I'm fairly sure with how you are, it wasn't your idea to do this." Her tone was a bit irritated, and now she was feeling as though she hated herself on top of it, all.
Her eyes closed for a moment, "Let's just forget about it, not like we can go back and change anything, since there's no way to go back in time. Fairly sure my brother hasn't invented that time machine he was talking about." She really wanted to get away from him, and take a nice cold bath to get his smell off her.
