 Sayoko wanted to go on an adventure, she was tired of the long and boring hours spent inside the forest. She took to the sky, her powerful wings supporting her with her concentration. Her wings just amazed her, how long and powerful they could be, it always amazed her. She was like her mother, she enjoyed the feeling of the wind blowing through her wings and against her body. Her eyes closed briefly just to feel the wind against her face as she flew faster. She felt like something was in front of her though, she opened her eyes just in time to crash into a tree.
Yoko tucked her wings against her body, she didn't want them to be damaged. As she tumbled through the tree, limbs would crack and break beneath her as she hit them. Finally the torture of the sound of the snapping limbs going through her ears ended and she groaned as she hit the solid ground beneath the tree. Her eyes opened and she looked up into the tree, amazed at how many branches she really broke. She was upset with herself though because she knew better then to close her eyes, but in truth she didn't think she had them closed that long. Before she closed her eyes, the trees were a good few feet away. She must have lost herself in the feeling that the wind brought to her, she felt comforted and at peace.

 Raka had been enjoying an afternoon fight. His son, Glawar, had been right there with him. As they flew, Rakasteta had been startled to see a mare fall directly after crashing into a tree. With growing horror he watched as she fell further and further- none of the old sturdy brushes catching the pink/purple mare fall. Turning to Glawar, he saw the younger stallion nod. He turned his gaze back downwards, searching for the path of least resistance. Spotting it, he head towards it, and consequently downwards to the mare.
Rakasteta navigated his way through the trees and branches. The broken stallion could see the mare further below- from the looks of it, she was moving. That was good. Landing softly, he trotted over to her. Checking her over, he was relieved to see no serious surface damage.
"Are you ok?" Probably not the brightest of things to say. Of course she wasn't ok! She just fell through the trees.

Sayoko blinked her soft green eyes a few times trying to make sure that the other being was in fact there. When he spoke to her it made her all the more sure of it that he was actually there. "I think so." She smiled up at him, from her experience, it was always the custom to ask if the being was okay, which in turn is a rather silly question but it is the only thing that comes to mind. She moved her legs and with a little uneasiness in her stomach, she stood up again. "I'm Sayoko." She decided that she should at least greet herself, it seems he was concerned for her even without knowing her. This deserved her kindness in return, not her hostility, she stopped smiling though because she was trying to figure out how he saw her. It wouldn't have been too hard to spot her, she hadn't been looking around because her eyes were closed.
She moved a little away from the tree and she spread her wings to make sure nothing was badly injured, she hoped she had done the right thing by tucking them in, however it did hurt a little to extend them to their full length. Could it be possible that they became bruised as she fell? Yoko slowly tucked them back against her body and she swayed her long black tail in annoyance. She couldn't fly back home, she would have to walk all the way back and it would take hours to get there.

The stallion gave a smile at the mares' response. He wasn't entirely sure what he would have done if she hadn't been ok. With his wings, it would be slightly difficult for him to carry any other full size soquili. His smile grew as she stood up and steadied herself. The fact that she was standing backed up her earlier statement.
"I'm Rakasteta. Raka or Steta for short. Rakasteta is a bit of a mouthful, apparently." It was common courtesy to give ones name, especially if someone else had already given there name. "It's nice to meet you."
Watching as she stretched her wings, he hoped they were ok. Wings could take time to heal if injured- the idea of not having use of wings was a foreign concept to him, and one that he never wanted to be a reality. Tilting his, head, he decided to inquire after them.
"Are they alright? Will you be able to take to the air again?" He was, if nothing else, a gentleman. Flying would certainly make things easier for the mare if they were fine. His golden eyes studied her face, checking for any traces of pain- they were made even more gold due to having dark sclera.

Sayoko smiled when he introduced himself, she was proud of herself for not behaving in her usual manner. "It is a pleasure to meet you Rakasteta." She said his full name without any trouble, she didn't mind the long name, she just wanted to pronounce it right. "It is a shame we had to meet under these circumstances." She giggled a little more so at her foolishness about closing her eyes while she was flying.
"They do hurt a little so I don't really want to risk taking to the air again." She said the sentence with a grimace because she was starting to wonder how long it would be until she could feel the wind again. Her ears were laid back as she was more heart broken about not being able to fly then anything. She was the one who loved to fly in the sky, she loved it more so than living down here on the ground. Her eyes traveled up the clouds and her heart began to ache with the longing that was wanting to fly again so soon. She messed it all up though and she knew she wouldn't stop kicking herself until her wings were better.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, as well." He nodded in agreement- it was a shame that they had to meet this way. It was, in his opinion, nicer to meet without possible injuries being an issue. He gave a small smile; others often stumbled through his name. It was slightly refreshing to see another say it without pause.
He gave a slight wince. It could, quite possibly, be quite the walk for the mare. Flying was, if anything, time effective. Instead of taking 10 minutes to walk somewhere, it just took him two or so minutes to fly there. The stallion hoped that she lived fairly close to here, then again being down in the trees, it'd be easy to get discombobulated. That was another reason why flying was superior. It was slightly harder to get lost if you have an eagle-eye view of everything.
"Well...since you'll have to be walking, do you live close-by at least?"

Yoko smiled at the stallion, now that she had a good look at him she loved his looks. His colors really suited him well and his long gorgeous wings just made him all the more stunning. His voice was nothing short of something you would remember the next day. "To be honest, I traveled a lot of distance when I flew so it might take hours for me to get back." She was being completely honest but at the same time a little hopeful that the stallion might accompany her back to her parents. Her long black tail stopped swaying as she waited impatiently to hear what the stallion would say to her next.

Rakasteta frowned upon hearing that it'd be many hours for her to return home. The idea of any female wondering about, unescorted, would put him at unease. He shook his head- that just wouldn't do.
"Would you like some company? A mare should not be alone for such a great distance." He shifted his weight from one side to the other, eager to hear her response. Despite not knowing much about the mare, aside from her name, he would of still felt extremely guilty if he hadn't offered, and something were to happen. As it is, if she said no, he'd probably follow for a distance, until she was somewhere safe.

Yoko nodded in agreement to his proposal. "I would enjoy some company, thank you." She meant every word but then she thought about the stallion and his family if he had any. "However wouldn't your family be worried? I'm sure you have some foals and a nice mare back home." She teased on the last part, she had no real thrill about thinking if the mare had a loving mare but she could do with the foals. Sayoko shook her head, what was she thinking, this stallion was a complete stranger. "If you want to return to where you live, I can make it on my own." She promised herself and the stallion at the same time, the last thing she wanted to be was a burden.

He gave a nod, before snorting. "My son, Glawar, is grown- I was flying with him when we saw you. He'll be fine. There's no mare to worry, either. It's nice of you to be concerned, though."
He was flattered that she would worry about such a thing, but like he said- Glawar was grown. And very independent. Upon hearing the mare speak once more, he shook his head to clear it.
"No, no, no. That won't do. I refuse to let you go off on your own while slightly injured." It wasn't even a feasible thought in his mind. Having said that, the stallion started walking with hopes of heading in the correct direction.
"Erm...which way are we going?" he asked a sheepish grin.

Sayoko had started to look around for the stallion's son but figured that the son had probably went off on his own. "If you are sure then I certainly won't refuse your company." She smiled at him and then started to walk off towards the east. She was hoping that it was the right direction, she really had no idea and she couldn't take back to the air to really find out either. She didn't think she hurt her wings to bad but wanted to give them a good rest before she tried to take off on them again. "East I believe." She chuckled a little, it was something she did almost as if a nervous habit, she was unaware that she did it and continued to be oblivious as she continued on wards.

"I'm positive." He gave a slight nod, before shifting the angle he was walking, quickly falling in line next to the mare. "East it is!"
Raka walked in silence for a bit, before speaking up once more. They'd be walking for a while- might as well get to know the mare. "So...what were you doing so far from home? If you don't mind me asking. Then again...when you're flying, it's easy to cover great distances without even noticing." He gave a slight smile.

Yoko had been worried about what to talk about while the silence had stretched on but was a little relieved when he had spoke up. "I just kind of like to feel the wind when I fly and I guess I really got lost specially when I closed my eyes." She closed her eyes again while she continued to walk forward, she did it out of embarrassment. The pink and purple mare knew better then to do what she had done but she couldn't help what had been done now, besides she had made a new friend out of the problem. She smiled more to herself then to the stallion at her side. "It is extremely easy to travel anywhere when flying and not know where your going, if you get lost within the feeling of the wind." She opened her eyes and glanced at the stallion, she wandered if he had any inkling as to what she could possibly be talking about, or maybe it was all in her own mind.

He gave a slight grin- it was a feeling he knew well. "I think any beat likes the feel of wind when they fly," he said, "but closing your eyes wasn't the smartest of moves in general." It was true- many a time, as his son grew, he'd have to remind him to open his eyes. His eyes danced with mirth. "I suppose that I can understand that; no directions, and no one telling you just where to go. You get to explore, and be free..." It was an idea he could certainly agree with.

"You think?" She was only teasing him now, she liked to joke with others now and again, it felt good to bring laughter into another's life. "You do not know what it is like to be free?" This time her eyes were filled with a slight sadness instead of laughter and happiness like they were just seconds before. In her past, she would torment others and make their lives miserable, she would always stay in one place and in turn she was miserable herself. Her heart ached for anyone that did not know the feeling and joys that could occur with the experiences of freedom.
