They were playing tag. Or so he thought.. But little him was never found so he thought maybe he should try and find them. That too, was also not a bright idea. Not with such a big pride... His ears fell and his body almost in a constant state of chills almost all the time as he walked with uncertainty. "Sis... Bro?" He called out and he hadn't see anyone bout on top of the rocky hills. Slowly moving down the stones and trying to jump but getting to scared too. Fear started to get to him after the first two rocks and he lowered himself.. How did he get up here anyways?
His siblings gave him more courage, when with them- it was like he too was strong but now that he was faced with this.. He couldn't even move and his body froze up. "Help~" He called softly, even girlly. "Help~" He called a little louder and quickly pulled back his lowest, most meekest voice. "Allo.." Coiling around the rock and holding on tight as if it would just fall off the path and tumble him down to his very death..

"Have no fear! I'll save you!" a voice called out after he cried out for help. There was the sound of running paws and suddenly a rather large white and green female leapt onto the first rock. Tohbi's moss-green eyes looked around once to find the source of the plea, her ears perked in attention. For all intents and purposes, she was huge for her age. Which in truth wasn't surprising if you knew her background. The Wolf was an old clan in the pride, and her papa's family was the head. But her mother was of the Shadow Clan, born of giant rogue lions and Tohbi was her mother's daughter. She wouldn't reach her grandfather's height or bulk, but she would certainly come to surpass her papa's height.
When she caught sight of the male about her age huddled on another boulder, she wasted no time jumping from the one she stood on, from rock to rock until she was carefully perched next to him.
"Hey, you okay? Are you stuck? Hurt? I can help." Her questions were as quick as her mind as she took him in. He was smaller than her, the almost had the same color tattoos and she wondered if their feathers had been from the same bird. But she'd never seen him before, so she didn't think they were in the same clan. Besides, it seemed like everyone in her clan was a relative of some sort.
"I'm Tohbi, Tohbi Waya," she added quickly, bouncing a bit as if to emphasize the fact that her name meant Rabbit. Her mother and father had fun with their names. They were mostly named either for other animals or the color of their pelts. Only her sister was an exception.
Chidambar Kalyani:
His ears shot up with the rescuing sound of a female.. A female!? His face went red as he went even more lower in to the boulder. Maybe it was being embaressed and being saved by a girl, but he didn't think that far. "I can't move.." He spoke so softly. "I'm frozen~" He called out pathedically. The game must have ventured else where, as he didn't see any of his siblings in sight and when he saw the girl- she didn't look ANYTHING like his siblings friends that had played hide and cub with them moments before. "Tohbi~?" Looking up at her, she looked so much more bigger than him. "Ah.. ah Im .. im.." A stuttering fit started as his words squished together. "Cheedah.." He prounced it. "Cheedah~" Clinging to the rock. "It's so far down~! I'm scared! OK! I'm scared!" Shivering with his fur still a bluttering mess of some fur up and some fur slicked down.
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi's enthusiasm immediately melted away and her ears flicked back as she leaned down close to the boy, Cheedah. It sounded like cheetah, it was cute. But he was scared.
"It's okay, I'll make sure you don't fall, mmkay?" she asked, touching the side of his face with her nose and then giving one of his ears a small lick in an attempt to calm him down a bit. She lowered herself down on the rock, so that she was stretched out next to him, taking up the rest of the space on the thing.
"If you get on my back, I'm pretty sure I can carry you back to firm ground," she added with a small nod. In truth, she could probably just jump off of the rock and be okay, but she wanted him to be okay, too. What kind of rescuer would she be if she just made him more scared? A bad one, that's what kind. And she definitely wasn't going to be a bad rescuer.
"Com'on Cheedah, I'll be careful, I promise."
Chidambar Kalyani:
Chidambar was always scared. Always worried about things, and always ready to run and hide. Why couldn't he be.. more like this girl? She was so cool, he admiredly looked at her with a dumbstruck look on his face when he she licked his ear. An even harder blush crossed his face as watched her move beside him and put a paw over hers. He had big paws- almost like hers but not even close to the same height. "Careful!" He almost yelled out in a gittery fit- but she had this in the bag. SHE wasn't scared at all- a smile twitched against the edge of his lips. "Ar-ar-are you -sh-shaure?" Looking hopefull to his rescuer. "Promise- pormise to be careful!" Then slowly, he slipped on to her back.. and once he even got a little closer- he quickly rushed on to her back and clung as if his life depended on holding on. "Am I too heavy!? Are we gunna fall~!!!? NOO~!!" He cried and snuggled his face against the fur of her neck. Shivering still and even more violently..
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi giggled at how flustered he seemed. She didn't seem to have a problem with it. When he finally climbed on, she stood carefully. Well, he was heavy, but not too much that she couldn't stand and move. But she certainly wouldn't want to carry him around like this for a long while.
"It's okay, just hang on," she said, giggling more when he buried his face into her neck.
"We're not gonna fall! Just hang on," she quickly said and jumped to the next rock. She paused for a moment on each one, so that she didn't jar him loose. But even with that, it didn't take long for firm ground to be under her paws and she all but crumpled to the ground.
"Mmkay, Chida, you can get off now, we're okay, see? We didn't fall," she huffed, though she was smiling and there was laughter in her voice.
Chidambar Kalyani:
Shivering and looking up right when they jumped down and clung harder and instinctively openned his claws for a moment. Then when she got to the ground, and he was STILL clinging to her. Tail up in the air. Then openned his eyes softly when she said that there was land under them. Happiness drifted in his face and he slid off, feeling the grass and rubbing his face in to the ground. "GROUND~ GROUND~" Rubbing his face all over and rolled on his back. "Thank you so much! Tohbi~! Thank you!" Tackling her happily, then when he realized he did it.. His ears went down and he had a face full of red. "Wha~...Um.. Um.. " Scurring back and hid himself in a mess of his own fur..
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi's neck and shoulders hurt a bit from his claws, but nothing to really complain over. And even if she intended to, he was already bouncing around, exclaiming in happiness and pouncing her. She rolled over onto her back and stared up at him with wide eyes.
But then he was jumping back and she rolled to her side, still staring at him. Great dragons, he was hot and cold more than she was! He looked suddenly really shy and she stood up to walk over to him.
Or, at least that's what she started to do. But halfway through standing, she was struck with an idea for a new game of pretend and she wobbled a bit and fell back down, pretending to swoon like a proper damsel.
"Oh, oh dear. I think that might have been just a bit too much for me..." She did her best to make her voice light and airy, just like a princess, just like her mama's voice.
Chidambar Kalyani:
A gasp came out of him and he looked around, nervously. "Ah ah.." Jumping around. "Someone~!" Then ran to her slowly picking up her head with his snout, softly whimpering. "Im sorry! Someone ~ help~! I think I killed her!!!" Shaking as he tried to lift her but unfortunately it was extremely hard to do. Sniffling a little.
Tohbi Waya:
Oh no! He was getting eve more flustered.
Well... She should have expected that, really. She did swoon after all, and she must have been rather convincing, too. But regardless, he was getting all worked up and scared again and if he kept calling like that they might get in trouble.
So when he nudged her with his nose, she brought one paw up and wrapped it over his shoulders, pulling him into a hug. Or it might have been a grapple, there was really no telling sometimes with the girl. That accomplished, she rolled, dragging him with her as she moved from lying on one side to the other.
"It's okay, I'm okay, see? I was just pretending to be the damsel 'cause I got tired of being the heroine. And damsels are supposed to swoon a lot and act pretty and prissy, like princesses. I think my momma's a damsel sometimes. But I don't think my papa's ever rescued her before." Her words were whispered, like she was sharing some big secret with him.
Chidambar Kalyani:
He didn't know what to do- and he tried to muster all the knowledge his mother taught him but nothing came to mind. maybe water and rest? Herbs!? What was wrong with her, then he was just dumbstruct when her paw touched his shoulder. Leaning in to it and was about to say comforting words before he was rolled about. Clentching his eyes shut til she spoke, his eyes wide in surprise as he still held some part of her paws in his paw for that brief moment of realization in her words. He closed his eyes then re-opened them hopeful.
"... Did I ..save you?" Did he? He wasn't sure.. but her words made him think.. and thinking was starting to fill with want. 'I wish I were like daddy.. so I could save...' But his thoughts fell short when looking at her- face so close to his that a blush wrapped around his face.
Tohbi Waya:
Did he save her? No, not really, Tohbi figured. But even at her young age she knew it would be better to think about what she said before she said it. How could she make him feel better? He didn't seem like the kind of guy who rescued the damsel, either. She had rescued him, after all.
But he'd been concerned and tried to help her when she had swooned. That was kind of a save, wasn't it?
"Mmhmm, you got me outta the swoon," she replied, touching her nose to his with a charming, little-girl smile.
Chidambar Kalyani:
That dumbstruct look on his face, he couldn't believe what he had just heard. And a smile grew widely on his face. "I promise to save you always!" He couldn't help but be filled with happiness for that brief moment and tackled her. Licking her forehead. "Mu-mu-mummy says I'll be strong lik-like mah dad. He saves me mummy all da time. So.. I will if you-you'd let me. I promise to be strong~!" Giving a hefty nod before one ear to the other flickered in the sound of voices.. But he didn't want to leave her.. they.. svaed each other? Ears back.
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi giggled like a little girl should at his response, happy that he was happy again. She even hugged him tight when he licked her forehead.
"My mama's bigger than my papa, real big. I bet I'm gonna be just like her, so we can be strong together, mmkay? You can rescue me and I can rescue you," she replied, snuggling into her new friend.
Her ears perked up when Chida's did, though and her head shot up, looking around. She didn't see anyone just yet, but she wasn't sure who it might be. Letting her head flop back down, her bright green eyes locked on his purple.
"Should we hide?" she asked, blinking with a bit of a cheeky smile on her features.
Chidambar Kalyani:
He tilted his head.. not knowing a female could tower over a male, so when she was bigger yes he felt intimaded but still something was setting over him. "Deal." Equality.. maybe that was what he was searching for.. but when the noise came, he knew that this would probably make his siblings laugh as they probably would do the same. "... I think we might. They left me up there." Speaking in a low voice, almost serious.. then looked back to her. "Come on~" Climbing off of her and slinking over to a pile of rocks, that led down to a bush that he knew they couldn't probably ever find.. "Follow me~" In a whisper before the shadows of cubs running around- tackling each other came in to view upon the rocks that he was saved from in the first place.
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi quickly followed her new best friend. Because she was absolutely, 100 percent certain that Chida was her best friend. He had to be! Best friends saved each other and he was the only one who said he'd wanna do that. She glanced back at the approaching cubs for a quick second before darting into the bush with him.
Once settled, she looked to her friend and frowned a bit.
"They left you on the rock? Did they know you were stuck?" she asked in a hushed voice, giving him a little nuzzle. It's what her mama always did when she or her brothers or sister was upset over something and he had been upset when he was on the rock.
Chidambar Kalyani:
Chida wasn't absolutely certain that those were the cubs, but her familiarized a voice or two and looked away when she was settled in, he quickly went in after her, trying to 'cover' her but knowing that he was way smaller than her. "They said we were playin Hide Cub, but they .. left me. Didn't even call out it was over.. so maybe it isn't. " Shrugging. "But I don't want you to be 'dead'- so I can die, and our part of the game would be over? It's getting dark.."
Tohbi Waya:
"That's so mean! I should box 'em ears, I should," Tohbi replied in a soft growl, snuggling close to Chida. Were they his siblings? Her brothers and sister would never do that to her, not in a million, billion years. At least, she didn't think so. They loved each other too much to be that mean.
She looked at him, then, blinking.
"Whatcha mean, dead? I don't want you to die," she said, confused at what he was talking about. Sure, it was getting dark, they should both go home. But she wanted to make sure her friend was okay first. What if he lived in a different clan! And had to walk a long ways to get home? What if he got lost? She didn't want anything bad to happen to him, he should come home with her instead and then her mama could take him home. That was safer, absolutely.
Chidambar Kalyani:
Shaking his head. "Some siblings- mostly others.." His voice shakily.. and whimpered a little. Then abruptly put his ears up when she plainly didn't understand the game it seemed. "You die when you get caught.. That's what it means to get caught, then you get to be the one to kill... or so I remember." Coiling around her side.. somehow he just wanted to stay here forever... maybe not forever but a long time! "I don't think we should be playing anymore- I never wanted to but they told me I would be cool." Huffing. "Forget it...I think I have-ta go.."
Tohbi Waya:
Tohbi curled closer to him when he whimpered, trying to make him not upset anymore. She was afraid that it was something she had done and she didn't like that! Not at all.
"You can play with me instead, I won't make you play dumb games and be mean, I promise," she replied, giving his ear a lick. She didn't like that he had to go, but she should probably go to. It was a long way home and mama and papa would probably be worried if she stayed out much longer.
"You gonna be okay, though, right? And you'll come play with me again some other time? I'm in the Shadow Clan if you wanna come by and play sometime."
