The boy would finally arrive on the planet and for a while, everything to him would be nothing but shimmers until finally, his vision would clear up to reveal several massively large buildings. Several of the buildings were made out of titanium and steel and stood taller than most average buildings on Earth. The roads around the boy stretch out quite a ways, further than the eyes can see. Sitting in front of the boy is a small cat that almost appears to be smiling. The sky up above is a darkened grey, the clouds coated with a thick layer of smoke.

Being blinded by the light that was cased around him Nathan finally regained his vision then collapsed to his knees. It did not take but a moment for him to realize he was not on that roof top across from the parking garage. Pushing him self up from his knees he rested his body weight on his calves to see a completely different world.
The place had a very industrial feel to it. He looked left and right to see the road extend for what looked like to be infinitely. The sky had a layer of smoke that would prevent any light from penetrating it. This is strange as hell... he thought as be brought his gaze down to see a cat that looked like... it was smiling. What mess have I gotten my self in to, Nathan thought feeling like he should be regretting the decision to make to help that strange man

"So. You are the first person that actually agreed to the offer." The voice almost seemed to come from no where. "Well. I must say. He chose a pretty good one at least." After the second line, the voice was easily distinguishable that it came from the cat out in front of the boy. It grinned and looked at the boy before changing into a younger girl. The girl looked over at Nathan and smiled at him. "So then. Now that you are here, I must say this, we need to get off the streets. Like, now." The girl looks around and then sees exactly what she doesn't want to see. A camera door opens up on one of the buildings and a camera comes out of the hole. it immediately begins to let out a massive alarm sound. "Yeah. We need to go. Really need to go!" The girl grabs onto Nathan's hand and immediately pulls him into a nearby alley. A thick dank smell immediately begins to hit the body, and as time passes, it begins to leave a burning sensation in the lungs. Though light right now, it continues progressing as time passes.

Talking cats!? What the hell! Nathan thought in utter shock and another moment later he was looking at a young girl. What ever that stranger did it was throwing Nathan out for a long winded trip of disbelief and he had only just gotten started.
"So then now that you are here, I must say this, we need to get off the streets. Like now."
"Yeah. We need to go. Really need to go!"
Before he could even ask why they needed to get off the streets he was yanked by the arm and rushed over in to a dark alley. It was here that he happened to notice that the air was much different here. It had a strange smell about it and even though he was used to rancid smells he could not help but chock on the air for two breaths before regaining his composure. "Ok, what the hell is going on here," Nathan demanded quietly picking up the urgency that he and the girl needed to remain on a low profile

After continuing to run for quite a distance, the girl and Nathan finally reached a small grating on the ground. She coughed a little bit, the air in the alley burning her lungs, but she couldn't help but take deep breaths. "This town . . . It used to be wonderful. The technological advancements . . . *cough* . . . it had made allowed its people to live with simplicity. However, the city's A.I. believed . . . *cough* . . . human's to be inferior and self-destructive. Due to this, it is not safe to be on the streets." The girl finally finished talking and her faced looked very pale. Her body was much smaller than Nathan's and so whatever was in the air was ailing her much quicker than it did him. The little girl began to lift on the grating and got it to move enough to where they could both go through. "Come on. Its safer in the Undercities." She said to him before climbing down into the tunnel. In the tunnel, the smell and burning sensation from the air was still present, but much less.

Not having any other option but to follow this young girl Nathan did just that. After she made her way down Nathan did as well, jumping off to one side at the bottom. The air down here was not nearly as painful to breath. "So you mean to say is that a computers ran this place then logically deduced that humans were self-destructive? Must not be that smart of a computer." Nathan remarked know that was just an innate human nature to destroy. But, he could not help to see the relation between this world and those of some science fiction movies he'd seen. It almost made him laugh, as a matter of fact all of this so far was adding to be almost like just that. Maybe this is just one screwed up dream. God I hope it is

The young girl laughed a little bit, enjoying the boy's cocky statement towards the city's central computer. She barely knew anything about it, only what she had learned from books back in Valerick's never ending library. When she finished laughing, she signaled him to follow and began walking down the large tunnels. "So tell me. Why did you say yes to Valerick's offer?" The girl asked, curious as to this boy's intentions. What was he after out of all this. As they continued to walk and she waited for his answer, the air finally became clear. Up ahead, lights shimmered all over the place as a very shabby looking city came into view inside of a massive chamber amongst the tunnels.

He followed the girl and was curious him self who this Valerick was. It only took Nathan a second to link the two together, seeing that he was only made one offer recently. Reaching in his coat he produced Rin's pistol and slowly pulled the slide back to see if the weapon had a bullet chambered. He let the slide go returning it forward and back into his jacket. "I lost a good friend to a meteor shower. We gambled with death regularly but, the way she died..." Nathan's sight drifted off to the side of the tunnel for a moment. "It did not fit her... I suppose its selfish, but he did promise he revert all the damage that had been done. So, I wouldn't just be saving her life by doing this," he finished his stating his reasoning as a shanty city came in to view. Guess this is the Under city she mentioned.

"Oh. So it really has started then. Hmm." The girl looked to the side as she began to think about something but then continued on. As the two of them continued to approach the city, a pair of guards with guns climbed out from behind boxes. Guns aimed dead center at the two of them, the girl quickly raised her hands into the air."Who are you!? You're from the other Under City aren't you? We already told you that we are not going to give you any food. So go away! NOW!" The guard that spoke was female and to Nathan, she would look all too familiar. Her appearance and voice were an exact replica of Rin.The girl stood motionless, struck silent by the fear of seeing the guns. She had no idea what to do in this kind of situation. She knew that everyone was forced below grounds due to the city's hostility, but she didn't know that even the Undercities were beginning to fight against one another.

Nathan pulled out two hand guns from the insides of his jacket, a reaction that was honed over time. He slowly stepped in front of the little girl putting him self in between the shooters and her. That voice no way! Looking down the sight of the pistol held in his left hand he'd seen Rin. For a moment he thought his eyes were deceiving him but, physically it was her by all means. The dyed hair the tattoo; it was indeed her but yet, not her. Nathan knew one thing well about Rin all to well is that she'd knowingly starve her self for a child. It was that moment when the words echoed from the depths of his mind, "Also, if you see anyone that looks familiar to you, I want you to remember this. These people may look the same, but under no circumstances are they the same. Good luck.""You judge a little to quickly, for all you know she could be sent as a emissary to offer an excess that she has, if she is from a different undercity. I would not know where she is from but, a bigger suggestion don't always point your guns first, it ruins the first impression," Nathan said trying his best to defend the girl, aside from a moral conviction to, she was his best bet to figure out what was going on.

Rin stood motionless for a bit and then stepped to the side. "Fine. I am still not sure who you people are, but I will have the guards keep an eye on you as long as you are within this city." Rin lowered her gun to her side and allowed the two of them to pass. The girl looked up at Nathan and then just slowly passed, making sure to stay as close to Nathan as possible."That was very quick of you. I . . . Thanks." She says, smiling slightly to him as she whispers those lines. She had feared that they wouldn't get to complete their objective and get killed right there. That would have been terrible. As they started going down a small hill past the guard post, she began to talk about yet another important factor. "Now that we are in the city, well, going into the city. We need to secure some place where we can rest and be able to let other people Valerick find into this dimension. Without having them appear on the surface." The little girl began to think about possible places, but she had no idea what would be best.

Lowering his arms to a resting position at his side he told 'Rin' "Do that, I don't plan on making trouble anyways." Nathan put the pistols away in his jacket as he passed the guards. He looked at the little girl for a moment long enough to say. "You're giving me too much credit. I was as ready to pull the trigger as they were," Nathan admitted this casually being that way usually seamed to help ease people on serious things, or agitate them.
He could not offer any real argument to the little girl about others arriving on the surface. "Okay, how do we do that," Nathan coughed a bit after his question to the little girl.

"I can change the location where people come to this dimension, I just need a little time to set it up is all." As they continued down the street, she looked back and forth at the buildings, looking for some sort of place they could rest and set up the area. She let out a sigh as they continued walking as it took quite a long time to finally find something halfway decent. She went inside and one of the people led the two of them to a room. As they were walking down the hallways of the small cramped building to their room, a single middle aged man gave them a glance but continued on. As he passed them, he ever so slightly laughed. Once inside of the room, the girl looked around and saw only a single bed and a small futon. "Okay. I will go ahead and get things ready here. Oh wait, I haven't even told you what we are looking for. We are looking for a crystal, one that has a large amount of power held within it. You will be able to tell when you have found it by using this." The girl places a small arm band on Nathan's wrist and snaps it tight. "When you get close to the crystal, this will start to glow. Now then, while I prepare the room, you can . . . well. I don't know. I guess get used to your surroundings or start gathering info."

The sudden snapping of the arm band caused Nathan to pull his hand back and shake his arm to a reaction to the pinching like pain of it snapping. So, a crystal with a large amount of power in it, man that's obscure. And god forbid it'll be kept in a room FULL of the mother- Nathan trailed off in to a rather displeased thought knowing how good old lady luck like to really make things very inconvenient, like only having a bed and a futon in a room. And small ones at that.
Considering the suggestion the girl offered for a moment Nathan took a seat against the wall curious of what she needed to do. "I think I'll wait and see who ever else is going to be showing up. And whats your name. I'd hate to try to refer and insult you in the process." Nathan coughed lightly. What ever was in the air it was defentaly not good for his lungs. Gona need to see if I cant get my hands on a gas mask or something

The girl sat down on the ground and closed her eyes. For a little while, a blue aura surrounded her body. As the aura began to glow brighter and brighter, a circle appeared before her. It almost seemed as though the little girl didn't even hear Nathan as the next ten minutes passed and there was not a sound from her. As she came closer and closer to the end of the process, she cringed a bit in pain and her breathing became hard. Finally though, she stopped and opened her eyes. She was taking deep breaths, trying to regain herself and she looked back at Nathan. "Sorry. I can't stop in the middle of that. My name is Ellissa." The girl smiled and wavered a bit as she stood up. She hated having to move the entry seal, but it was necessary to make sure that the people coming in would be much safer upon entering the dimension.
