Considering there is no introduction thread thus yet, I believe it is a good idea to get one rolling. Maybe this was your first ball? Maybe your fifth? It doesn't matter, we who are here all plan to work as one to make the 10th Annual Ball a huge success! It is especially important to get to know one another whether you be new to the ball or ancient to ball.
So, I'll begin!
I'm 19, currently a second year college student majoring in Biology. My goals are to receive my Masters in Marine Science and work in the field in terms of rescuing Marine Life.I love to write and have my own gaming blog currently for which I cover the various games I play. I am a Lord of the Rings nerd and love to ride my beautiful horses.
As for my involvement with the Annual Balls, I fell in love in love with the 5th Annual Ball and promptly joined in the fun the 6th. Initially I was to be a co-host for the Old West Room, but soon became host of the room. The next ball I was to be co-host of the entire thing, but soon bumped up to being the main host of 7th Annual Ball. Feeling like I made many mistakes I took a step back and focused on my life, but now I'm back and looking forward to working behind the scenes unless needed otherwise. :]
So, who are you, what's your involvement with the balls, and what are your hopes for the upcoming ball?

I suppose I'll go next!
I'm currently fourteen, soon to be fifteen. I'm probably the youngest sophomore my school has seen in a long time. I'm a complete band nerd and wish that flutes were accepted into jazz so then I could have more band classes. I love to draw, but lately I've been taking a lot of breaks to watch Full Metal Alchemist. Obviously I'm an Otaku... But a friend of mine makes me feel like a Closet Otaku. Pokemon is practically a life style for me (making it one of my many obsessions). Another chunk of my life is my AP classes, rping, and chocolate.
Now on to the Annual Balls. Back in the day, I thought it was a complete joke and just stayed away. But this year, I saw the theme and decided to see what it was all about. I mean... Full Metal Alchemist has the homonculi named after the Seven Deadly Sins ♥
I went and stayed in Greed's Treasure Hunt and had a blast. So I said to myself "Why not put my rping, drawing skills, and post format making skills to the test and help out with the 10th annual ball.
My hopes for this next ball is that we can get more people to see it and have just as much fun as we all did. Heck... Let's all show everybody why we all love Gaia!

It seems that I am third.
I'm... an indeterminate age, because I feel uncomfortable with revealing my age. I guess I can tell you that I'm a senior, so you probably have a pretty good guess at my age now. This year, I'm actually only taking two classes at my high school and going for two college courses at the local community college. I eventually want to travel to a different state to attend a four year college and gain a Bachelor Sciences degree in Computer Science. I'm a huge Otaku, everyone knows it and I sometimes spend hours on end watching anime. I'm also not online very much, but when I get on I'm a fantastic roleplayer and I'm usually found in the Anime/Series or the fantasy section of roleplaying guilds. I'm also a big fan of Kingdom Hearts, but don't judge me for it.
I have never heard of the Annual Balls before, this is my absolute first year of hearing and attending one and it was fantastic! Unfortunately, I came in the middle of day 2, so it was already about half-way over. I had so much fun in Sloth and Zeal in the City of Time, I certainly miss it. So, I thought I might as well help with the next Annual Ball, in the hope that I will get to help out as much as I can.
I hope that next year I can help everyone have as much fun as I did.

hello, all whee This was my first ball, though I've been on Gaia for a long time.. I've been role playing with my friends since I was in junior high which was... about ten years ago? I'm 23 and basically living off my parents, lol. I have an associates degree in advertising and design, so I like to do art ( My DA account) but my true love is and will always be writing. Sadly, I'm on disability right now, trying to strengthen my muscles so every more I make doesn't make me cry. This does, however, mean that I have tons of time on my hands and I draw/write/plan as much as y'all need me to. smile

hello, gaians! I suppose it's my turn now, so here i am.
i reckon some may think me young for this website (i'm legal though) and i, as well, enjoy being an Otaku! My current obsession is Fruits Basket, and w.o.w. is my life at the moment... level 12 priest 3nodding hee hee.
my involvement with the ball? i had never heard of it til' recently, and unfortunately, i missed the whole sha-bang sweatdrop so here i am, ready to help in any way i can to contribute!

YAY!! Me next!
Okay, I am twenty one, and this was my first ball that I attended. I loved it but I found that there were parts that could be improved upon and I love helping to provide a good time for people. I am in Maryland, and I am very friendly, and I will always listen to ideas. I am also a writer, a literate roleplayer, and a decent artist. Not the best, but not the worst either, I would love to do anything to help and get this thing to be the BEST User Ball ever!!!! X3 HUGS TO ALL!!!

So, who are you?
Well on Gaia, I'm broken_bleeding_angel. Host Extraordinaire! Girl Guild Captain/Mom. Secret Gifter. Event Planner. Item Collector. Role Player ...Blah,blah,blah you get it.
Offline however, I am known as Lauren Renay. And no, that is not my full name, just my first two. (My name is long.) I was born on January 18th, 1990 at 1:50am. So that makes me a 21 year old Capricorn with a cusp in Aquarius. So what does that mean? I'm a radical rebel who loves structure. XD
What's your involvement with the balls?
The first ball I attended was the 6th ball. I fell in love with the ball there and quickly joined the 7th ball. I became Host of the Witches Tower, but had to drop out three days before the ball because of a family emergency. I joined in the 8th ball and became Host of Hades' Palace with Shunatsu and had a blast hosting the room with her as Ares. Coincidentally, the co-hosts and even some of the guests from that room followed with me into the 9th ball as I became Co-Host to Epcot (Wrath) and played Kindness. I was quite happy to work with such wonderful people again and Epcot who I had met in the 6th ball that inspired me to work here. This year I am hoping to be hosting yet again for our biggest and most monumental year for the ball. ♥
And what are your hopes for the upcoming ball?
that it blows everyone's socks off and sweeps them clean off their feet in pure and utter shock! D:< We'll be AMAZING!

Hey, I'm Oreo! Or Sasa, or Theresa. I am 17 year old and have been on Gaia for years, yes I joined before I was 13. I am a roleplayer who pretty much lives in Barton Town, therefore the 9th ball was the first one I heard a thing about. I really don't know much about the balls, but hey, helping out here will help me figure out just how this all works. I wish I had participated in the actual threads, but I really didn't know how to start. But anyway... I am gonna be a senior in private high school. I dance almost five days a week and love being on stage. Give me a character and a week and I can become anyone. But I am also very academic, in college I wish to dual major in Pre-Forensics and Sports Management, as well as dual minor in Physics and Theatre. As for hopes for the upcoming ball, well I hope to be more of a part of it. Even if just as a party goer.

Ink here! Now shut up and listen up because you only have probably read this a hundred times by now! I am an aspiring mediocre artist and writer with a big heart and meager dreams. I attend a local community college in my hometown, and I like Fall weather. My favorite things: new pencils, stock printer paper, new books, fluffy kittens, bigger dogs, meeting other people, the internet, and sweets and coffee.
Not necessarily in that order though.
I didn't learn about the Annual Ball at all until late last year having stumbled upon an old room through a friends old postings.(Even though I have been wandering on Gaia fro some time through various accounts.) Thats when I began to stalk and bounced from one room to another due to a shortage. I ended up under the tutelage and guidance of LilChibusa and CrystalTears, in the Zeal/Sloth room.
I did art, I co-hosted (I was Lethargy), and I ran a successful game as well.
I made friends and KICKED BUTT!
I hope next year to be even more involved and perhaps more organized. I would gladly co-host, do art, and run a game once more.
This is a great...service?...Which you all offer Gaians and I think we need more people to be aware of it!

It's my turn now! xd
In real life, I'm 25 years old, have a B.A. in English, and live with my parents because I can't find a job. I'm going to start substitute teaching as soon as my sub license comes in, so that should help while I'm looking for bigger and better things. My ultimate short term goal is to be accepted into the JET Programme where I would be teaching English in Japan. If I make it into the program, I should be leaving in late July or August of next year, so I should be around for the ball. I am a huge fan of anime, classic literature, romance manga, Kingdom Hearts, and kitties. heart
I first became involved with the 8th Annual Ball when GreenInkling (a ball member, and friend I knew through Gaia) asked me to join the Celebration Room as a co-host. That year, I played Ariadne under Epcot and Green, and loved it so much that I had to be a part of the ball again. I wasn't initially chosen as a room host, but I stepped in and helped Crystalloid after Lectern stepped down as host of the Sloth room. Before I knew it, I had a promotion, and a whole new room to love! (I was in the Wrath room as a co-host prior to my transfer.) I had a blast hosting the room of Sloth and Zeal with our wonderful room staff, and I was truly sad to see that blissful yet busy weekend come to an end.
For this next ball, I hope to be able to host a room again. I would also really like to help out with the plot committee. I'm hoping that through all of our efforts, we'll be able to double our attendance for the next ball.

My turn!
Well, I am a student so basically, I live with my parents. I am going to choose my path for jobs, sooner or later. Yes, this is my problem. I just can't choose...Anyway, I Love books and cats.Also some musics.This is going to be embrassing but I love ABBA.They are now really old like in their late 40s but they rocked pretty well when they were younger.They are so cool...^^
This will be my first Annual Ball.I joined Gaia 2 years ago.(Hmm.. come to think about it,,I never thought I would play that long xd ) I love to write too. I have wrote some books.Well... I hope I can do something to help the 10th annual ball><

Who am I... Well, I'm 16 in real life, trying to find my passion in life, and starting to stress out about college. I do occasionally make art, anime, but recently I've been trying to get myself into realism. It hasn't been working very well. I also do TaeKwon Do, play the piano and flute, and am an older sister. I was formerly A Paradox of Wills, so you can call me Paradox.
My first involvement in the Balls was when I rp'ed in the 8th Annual Ball, and fell in love with it. I helped around in the 9th Annual Ball, was going to cohost in the Wrath Room (As Patience, I think), but then real life took over. Real life is still kind of busy, but this year, I'd like to help as much as I possibly can.
For the next ball, I hope to see more people attending (Sorry, but it was kind of disappointing last year compared to the 8th Annual Ball.). I hope that everyone has a ton of fun (yay!) and that I can hopefully use my art skillz for something, as that's probably all I can do this year.

Looks like it's my turn now. Very well, I'll get started. It's not like there's anything interesting about me though...
I'm fourteen years old and currently a freshman in High School. You could call me a stereotypical Asian girl because of my ridiculously high marks, tendencies to overachieve, and my involvement in pretty much everything that I can get my hands on.
As for what my strengths are, I could be called a jack of all trades. I dabble in every field possible-drawing, writing, singing-but I doubt you could call me professional on any level. Because of that unique adaptability, I could probably be a helping hand for anything.
This is my first Annual Ball, though I did pop up every now and then in the 9th one. I've actually been on Gaia since the end of 2010, but I completely forgot about my account until a few months ago.
Fun facts about me:
I aim to be a biologist when I go to college. I adore Goth Lolita fashions, new books, my internet, candy, swords [real ones], singing and writing. I could also be called a total Otaku with my obsession with manga and anime. Seriously, there's not a single popular show these days I haven't heard of or watched. I am Shunatsu (pretty much everywhere online). A self-proclaimed talented story-crafter, I'm best when working on stories and hyped about being a room host. Besides that, I'm admittedly not much good in anything else useful to the Ball (like advertising and hosting events and drawing templates and I can't draw even to save my life), but I'm willing to learn, and I am still learning.
I stumbled upon the 8th Annual Ball Planning Guild purely by accident. Inspired and encouraged by Blissy, not only was I able to join I also became host by the 2nd month I joined the guild (FREAKED ME OUT, IT DID). I hosted the Hades Palace with broken_bleeding_angel (that year was pure love and win!! <3) as Ares. On the 9th Annual Ball I hosted Haus D'Amour as Love. It was difficult, but it was good fun working with everyone! XD
In real life I'm an 18 year-old Malaysian student studying in college in the UK in a romantic relationship with manga and anime. My goal in life is to write stories about all kinds of love and adventures and to have the most meaningful life I can.
Most important thing you need to know about me is that I LOVE THIS BALL. We're FAMILY!! <3

I am Lupina, and I'm going to be going to be a college freshman in two weeks (eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee two weeeeks so excited!) studying Special Ed/Secondary Ed as my majors and minoring in Political Science. My goal is to get an Ed Policy degree and reform the American education system.
As for the ball, I didn't get involved since this year (even though I've been here since 06! how crazy am I?) and I would LOVE to help you guys plan the 10th annual ball!
