He woke up to the sound of marching and a girl yelling at him from outside his bedroom window. He yawned rubbings his eyes before opening them. He stared at the ceiling for awhile putting his arm up and then having it flop back touching the wall behind his head. The girl was still yelling at him. He sighed throwing off his covers and dressing into a traditional Kimono with hakama. Finally he looked out his window stepping out on the balcony.
"Its about time you got up Saito"she said waving and smiling at him. She was wearing a loose Kimono lots of space to move comfortably in. A gust of wind blew, her jet black hair flew with it. Her eyes were a light hazel.
"My Kaori aren't you a little too dressed up" Saito said almost chuckling. A sword hanged on his sash of his Hakama swung with the breeze.
"Says you that wears our academy uniform on a date. I mean you couldnt come out with something a little more out of the ordinary?"She asked seeming a little annoyed with Saito's clothing.
Saito just shook his head smiling. His smile disappeared when he noticed soldiers with a purple eye as their insignia. Kaori and Saito both looked at the soldiers. A man in black armor walked by looking at both of them. He turned his head to the side and marched on.
Saito had come down from his window. They both watched the soldiers as they marched away. Saito didnt like the feeling he got when that knight stared at them like that. Kaori took Saito by the hand and started to walk to the market. She had bought them something to eat it. Saito looked at his sandwhich. He looked at smiled at Kaori and then ate his sandwhich.
Kaori looked at Saito eating his sandwhich quietly. Not feeling comfertable being silent she decided to break the unbearable silence.
"Did you hear that the man executed for using majik?"she asked. Saito nodded not speaking his mouth was full. "I dont get it why is majik forebidden when they are just trying to protect themselves? I heard he was being attacked by a wolf and used majik to save himself apparently a soldier saw and beheaded him. Whats up with that?"she said shrugging.
"maybe its because the emperor is afraid of majik being used for bad i dont know Kaori"he said shrugging also. But that doesnt make sense. If he was afraid of it being used for evil then why he have his soldiers, Majik users, go around and destroy majik using villages?he thought about this hard and then gave up due to Kaori saying stuff like.
"watcha thinking about"
Only to have him reply by saying nothing and then they went about their day laughing, and talking until they eventually ended up at Kaori's house. Kaori's house was big everytime Saito got invited he always managed to get lost.
Kaori Ran up to the door turned around waving as she wore a huge smile on her face. He smiled back and waved.
"See you tomorrow"she said sliding her door open and disappearing as it slide closed.
