ok so i have been able to clean the inside of my cam with simply blowing in it and bam fixed. a few days ago I had this weird dust that would not go away dont matter how much i blew so i googled and saw that its very costly to keep cleaning the camera (my camera gets dust like every month) i figured i would then google on ways to clean the sensor and my camera has this thing where it takes a picture and tells you if the sensor is clean or not. it looked fine but i used a little brush and followed the steps and it looked cleaned. i managed to drop the lens like a doofus but i put it on and it worked. today i go out to the park and it looks like it still has dust but weird thing is my camera says the sensor has dust but where the sensor has dust it doesn't show in the pictures like it did before i cleaned it a few days ago. or maybe something got into it in the park its a bit hard to explain because i am not sure whats dirty so i might have to get it cleaned and pay up or maybe i broke something or maybe the brush just left more dust even though it was cleaned after i did it eek let me put up pictures for better explanation. wink this is two pictures that i took a few days after cleaning my lens (sorry mom for putting you up on gaia) these pictures were taken on the 18th i see no visible dust or particles or anything.. today i see this the top part (little circle) looks weird.. couldnt get a closer picture (hard to take a picture with two cameras in both hands) but in bright light (which makes me believe its dust) it looks fine this was like a week or two apart from clear pictures to dirty pictures. i tried to clean the sensor the same way but this time its not really working so idk... its just if this happened in a week or two of each other it would cost me a ton of money. help me solve this issue~ what do you think it is? do u think its dust too? any other way for me to try and clean it myself or should i just pay someone to do it? if i should pay someone to do it who should i hire?

Setos_angel but what bothers me is that i never seen the dust through the eye hole i could only see it through pictures Sometimes, you do only see it in the pictures, which can be very frustrating. That's when Photoshop really comes in handy.... biggrin Otherwise, I hope you were using canned air to blow on the camera. If not, that is what you should use, instead. Using a camera-cleaning brush gently like you did works, as well, but might not be enough. When you dropped it, or maybe even when you were cleaning it, dust worked its way in there. You might have to clean it again. confused

I am not even sure if thats possible... i actually never thought about using a canned air sweatdrop i wonder where they sell those.

That is what forums are for. biggrin Yeah, canned air is what you want. If you blow into it, you risk getting tiny bits of spit on the inside. Most stores with an electronics section have it near the computer accessories. It's not very expensive, just be careful when you use it. (Hold it the proper distance away, only use it in spurts of air, etc.).

Honestly, I have no idea about the gels. If you don't feel comfortable using it, then don't. Hold off on the canned air. Many places say that it is not the best for actually cleaning the camera body, itself. Sorry about that. Live and learn. sweatdrop (I was thinking of the UV filter I have). There what is called a "blower blub." Check it out, and see what you think. http://photo.net/equipment/dslr-sensor-cleaning/ I'm going to look into it more, too.
