She ran quicker and quicker through the pride, completely ignoring those around her. She had to find Jambazi and tell him what happened. He would know what to do, he always did. Some how he would figure out a way to save Hima and make everything right. She slowed down once she neared the families den. It never occurred to her until then that Jambazi could blame her for Hima's capture. She shook her head, hoping to get rid of the idea, but the more she thought about it the more it felt that it could be a real danger.
It was her fault, she reminded herself. If she wasn't so concerned about getting something for Jambazi near the borders of the land this would not have happened. Any anger Jambazi, or any other pride member, had toward her would have been rightfully earned. She couldn't help but cringe at the thought of the pride hating her. It was her new home after all and she was just starting to feel comfortable in it.
Her steps were hesitant now as she walked the rest of the way. Jambazi needed to know. She didn't care if he hated her for the rest of his life, as long as he saved Hima everything would turn out right, she hoped.

The soft rolling breeze lulled across the blades of grass like ripples on a puddle. It was peaceful or for the most part Jambazi thought as he remained stretched out on the heated rock his tail swinging back and forth in a slow motion. His sisters were off playing or at least that was what they had told him and he had merely assumed that they were continuing to do so. Jambazi felt incredibly lazy for the day in which was unusual considering such frivolous fancies were not in his particular nature.
Letting a scowl show on his muzzle Jambazi got to his feet pausing only for a moment to let the wave of guilt wash over him. Here he was freely loafing around when he was sure there was something he could do to help or even learn that was useful to their new home there was that minor moral that he lived by, nothing was free. If he wanted to live in the pride he had to do his own part and since he was responsible for his two siblings and their part as well until they were old enough.
Shaking his head he quickly picked up his pace towards the families den not wanting to dawdle any longer.

When she got closer to the families den she saw someone else approaching. It had to be Jambazi, who else would go to their den? As she got closer she clearly saw it was him. Her heart beat start speeding up. Without much thought she made her way to him, ready to confess to him. She wished she could think of what to tell him, but her mind blanked. Her eyes she could feel started getting watery and her sight blurred. This was it, it was time to tell him.
"I'm sorry brother!" she cried out, as she got closer to him. When she was close enough to him she pushed her face into his chest, hoping that it would make her feel better. It didn't. "I- I didn't know what to do." she cried louder. She knew what she was saying couldn't make sense to her brother, but she couldn't figure out what exactly to say. How do you tell someone that it is your fault your sister was cubnapped and it was all your fault?
"We were playing and- and I wanted to get you a present." She started again, once she was able to find her voice. It didn't last to long. Once she finished her sentence she begun crying again. "Hima, Hima is gone." He would hate her now. How could he not. It was her fault that Hima was gone. These thought made her cry even harder.

The familiar brown figure caught his eye as he approached the den, it wasn't any surprise to see Chamba returning there. What was the note of concern was that the familiar figure of their sister wasn't at her side. Jambazi's brows furrowed it wasn't like Hima to leave her sister to travel back alone nor was it like her to stay so far without him or Chamba there.
He could feel the lump of fear starting to grow in the pit of his stomach as Chamba buried her tear soaked face into his chest. It spread like a diseases driven fear as the words he was afraid to hear escaped from her sobs. Gone? Was she cubnapped or had she fallen down somewhere, or was she what he feared the most dead? His legs ache to run, to rush off immediately to where he had last seen the cubs but fought it down as the more and more questions flooded his mind.
"Chamba… Chamba! It's ok just tell me what happened everything that happened. Why is Hima gone?" As calmly as he could he spoke to her not wanting to yell or to merely upset her more. Whatever had happened could be punished for later but for now getting HIma help if at all possible was more of his concern.

Chamba took a couple deep breathes. This was not happening she had hoped it would. "We were playing," she started to explain once she stopped crying. "And I think I headed away from the pride. I- I wanted to get you something. I wanted to show you that I was brave too."
She looked at the ground. If anything this proved how much of a coward she was. "Hima came after me and than." She remembered seeing the hyena's body, grabbing her sister and running off. Her body shivered at the thought. "A hyena took her when we were about to run off. I- I didn't know what to do. My body wouldn't move, so I decided to go back and get you."
The tears came back into her eyes. "Please forgive me big brother. I'm sorry I am so worthless." She cried, not looking him in the eyes. Even if he did save Hima, Hima would probably hate her as well for not going after her. Why oh why did she have to go so far from the pride?

"Chamba it will be ok," He replied rubbing his cheek on her shoulder, he only wished that what he was saying wasn't probably a lie as the feeling of guilt lingered in the bottom of his stomach. All he could do was comfort her in hoping that their sister was ok however the longer he waited to find her the more chance that something would happen to her. "Chamba can you tell me which direction the heyna ran off to, what color was it? Can you remember," As soon as he found the foul beast he was sure that with whatever strength he had he was going to rip them apart. That was after Jambazi made sure Hima was fine, if she wasn't well the phrase dead wasn't going to cut it.
He wasn't sure if he could even get to her, sure he would probably die trying there was no doubt in his mind however if he faced more than one hyena he wasn't sure how he would stand alone.

Chamba nodded her head. She didn't know exactly which way, but she could take him to where she was taken and figure it out there. "Th- the hyena was dark colored," she said, only remembering that and the red eyes. "I'll take you to where Hima was taken."
She wanted to look at Jambazi in the eyes so he could see how sorry she felt, but she knew she would burst out in tears again and that wouldn't help either of them. Quietly, she turned around and headed away from the pride, retracing her steps. "I was only trying to show her how brave I was," she muttered as she walked. "I hope she can forgive me."

Jambazi nodded not looking at the cub, "then lead the way however we will only go as far as we can see the dens after that you need to return I don't want something to happen to you as well."
It was hard not wanting to yell in rage at his sister even more so it was in a way hard not to blame her for what had happened. It wasn't entirely her fault that Hima was taken he couldn't blame her for if anything had happen to her yet at the same time the since of guilt of her wanting to go further away from the pride made it hers. All for what to prove her bravery?
"Let's just have her return first apologies can come later," he replied not wanting to do continue the conversation any longer.

Chamba felt uneasy with the silence, as she lead her brother to the spot. She quickened her pase, hoping to end the silence quicker. To herself she wished that Jambazi would make some sort of comment. It made her feel worse having him not talk to her. Even having him yell at her would have been better at this point. At least than she would know that he was mad at her and rightfully so. When he got back with Hima she would be sure to apologize and figure out a non-dangerous way to make it up to him and Hima. Though she doubted anything she did could make up all the things she had done.
She reached the spot that they played hid and seek. The bush that she had hidden in was still there. Nothing seemed out of place, yet Chamba felt jumpy here. "The the hyena went that way," she said pointing with one of her paws. In the ground she could see her own paw prints, when she ran back to the pride. She knew if Jambazi followed her prints it would lead to the hyena's.
She looked at Jambazi in the eyes. It was time for her to go back to the den, but she didn't want to go. She felt the need to go with him, to help bring back Hima, but she knew that if she went that she would probably end up causing more trouble. "Is there anything else I can do?" she asked hopefully.

It was silent walk to the place where Chamba and Hima had been playing. He had nothing he could say, no words of comfort no more reassuring words that it was going to be ok. The more steps that they took more and more fear of losing his baby sister and after losing the rest of their family. Jambazi truly could not face the idea of losing another, not even Chamba for that matter even if at the moment she felt otherwise.
His brow furrowed as Jambazi looked around the site looking for anything that would give him a sign of what had taken place and why the hyena had done such an act. He had little to no idea why a hyena felt the need to steal a cub away except for the reasoning of possible food source. To his thought unfortunately meant that Hima was in more trouble than he had feared.
"No there is nothing else for you to do Chamba except to return to the den and remain save. You will only get hurt and I. The way if you follow me and I can not have both you and Hima in danger." Jambazi replied shaking his head before looking at her. He kept his lips tight and in a strewn manner wanting no argument to escape form her lips however truthfully from the bottom of his core he was deeply worried and afraid.
"Hurry up and go we will return soon," Jambazi replied heading in the direction she had pointed in.

"Be safe," she said softly as she turned around and headed back to the pride. More guilt filled her and she couldn't help but constantly look over her shoulder. The urge to turn around and follow him was starting to overwhelm her. She reminded herself that she couldn't do anything to help him and she would just make things worse for him if she tagged along. When she felt she was far enough, she watched Jambazi from a distance, praying that he would come back home with Hima safely.
