The flit clutch that had been abandoned on the beaches of Malvern have hatched, and Flits are everywhere including those that already resided within the Weyr. The sun is shinying and the weather is nice, so the flits are all over the place. Some of their owners can be found close by, others, who’s flits are older, are nowhere in sight. What are you doing this lovely afternoon? And how are you dealing with those flits?

Janeallia lay on her back in the grass near the edge of one of the cliffs that backed the beaches of the Weyr. One arm was bent back to pillow her head the other rubbed Moor’s tiny wedged head. She had one leg stretched out and while the other was bent up at the knee. Her dark eyes were closed as she rested humming softly to both herself and Moor, as the two of them took the chance to soak up some of the suns delicouse warm rays.

The little black flit was stretched out across the expance of Janes’ belly his wings stretched out to soak up as much sun as possible, his head resting just so Janeallia could rub at his head. He had been quiet excited when Jane told him she had finished her chorse for the day and would be able to rest and relax for a bit, and that she planned on going to rest outside until supper.

The young woman was still getting used to the small creatures near constant company and his continued dependence on her. He almost didn’t hatch and when he did, he was so tiny. He still is quite small, but she doesn’t care, he is hers and his presence was comforting. She missed her runner, but understood that the beast would not be able to come with her and way, but still she missed the mare. Moor filled that void quite nicely.

Rikki wasn't sure what to do with the green flit while she was out in the water training, but Tease knew what to do. She grabbed a hold of the young woman's hair and chirped the whole time Rikki swam towards Phros. It was a sight that made those that seen them laugh. It seemed the three of them were becoming the best of friends and knew how to work well, even if it had only been a couple of days since the flit hatched.

Wykla walked along the edge of the cliff. Her eventual destination was an idea spot for flit bathing. Her oldest, Boreal, had perched on her left shoulder for a ride. Over head, two greens flew. She glanced up at the two with an eye. Since Estis had hatched, she had been trying to figure out where the green would perch. It was quickly obvious all three wouldn't fit on her slim shoulders.

Estis sensing a slowing in the girl below her started complaining in a loud and shrill voice. She wanted to be oiled. She wanted to be fed. Right. Now! Fescues, the other green, crooned. Bathing and oiling was fun! Boreal just eyed the other two from his perch of privilege. Estis better not make his girl upset. He worked hard to keep her happy.

Janeallia had started to drift off a little when Estis's shrill crys woke her completely again. Moor too jerked at the sound having dozed off on Janes belly. The large woman sat up, a hand on Moor as he scrambled up her front, towards her throat where he clung to her tunic and pressed himself against her.

Oh what is that who is that they don't sound happy.

Janeallia soothed her flit, a hand still on him, as she looked around for the source of the noise. She saw the two greens first and followed them to the ground where she saw Wykla, though she did not recall the females name, she remembered her from the beach.

Swaying from side to side Ashmere shielded her fair gray hues from the bright overhead glare of the sun, it was so horrible how her body was adjusting towards the light. Being a wherhandler in training was difficult, far more difficult than what she had expected it to be. Squinting as she removed her hand from her face the woman just didn’t have the ability to sleep all day long, now was one of those times, she had awoken and just couldn’t get back into a position where she was comfortable enough to resume resting. And now here she was staggering about in the sun only slightly enjoying the warmth that claimed her petite figure, letting out a chirp Largo scampered along the length of her shoulders and crawled up into her messy tangled hair. He was so comfortable hidden along the loose braids and uneven locks of brown that he nearly forgot he was riding His and not just playing in a snuggly nest.

“You are such a darling little beast, albeit a bit hyper but regardless darling all the same.” Sweetly murmured the twig figured former-harper in a hushed tenor that spoke volumes of the amount of affection she held towards the newest member of her little extended family. Long white digits danced along the unruly crown of her hair, poking and prodding at the little blue that resided in his make shift home. Largo was certainly more relaxed than her two greens, especially Mesmer. He was sweet and very clingy, even though he was a hatchling she knew that he would never outgrow his sugary disposition. He was completely peppy and adorable, it was almost infectious. Making a click in the back of her throat Ashmere tugged the already sizeable blue from her hair and cradled him with both of her small hands, chirping up at her and cantering his head Largo blinked his eyes then trilled with delight as the woman grinned showing him her overly long eyeteeth. He loved His, she was so wonderfully perfect! Wiggling his feet upward Ashmere blew a warm breath against his tiny claws causing the little fellow to croon and squirm, he wanted to play!

“Largo! No! Come back!” Frantically screeched the wherhandler in a very high pitched feminine voice that verged on something overly girlish. Over extending her gait Ashmere sprinted after her little blue. ‘Mesmer, Fervor, I could really use your help right now girls, you little brother is trying to kill me again!’ Mentally pleaded the skinny pixie like girl as she continued to bound after the overly active hatchling. Somewhere back at the Weyr the two female flits glanced at each other, Mesmer let out a small sound and Fervor retorted by snuggling deeper into the bed furs of Their’s sleeping cot. Both flits were in agreement, Ashmere was on her own today, there was a reason greens didn’t guard their clutches after all. Chirping with a firelizard version of laughter the two greens settled down and chose to ignore the mental call for help.

Janeanllias head snapped around when she heard someone crying out for someone to stop. She turned her head away from the form of the woman whose name she didn't know, to look at Ashmere. She knew it was the once harper right away, just was the only one she'd ever seen around the Weyr who was that small. She saw a flit, and despite Moors protests she let go of him so she could stand. Then a hand back on Moor's back helping him crawl over her shoulder so he could cling to her back instead. He liked the view point much better because he could see where they were going, instead of where they had been. She trotted towards Ashmere and her run away blue, She'd heard the other woman calling the little blues, name.

"Largo, hey Largo comm'er, your brother wants to say hi. Comm'er fella."

Moor chirped questioningly towards His and Largo.

Slightly distracted by the flits, Wykla hadn't noticed anyone else on the cliff. The movement of the woman sitting up drew her attention. She groaned to herself, realizing the green had woken her. As the shrills from Estis increased a notch she winced. "Sorry," she mumbled as she was about to pass.

Boreal and Fescues hadn't been this much trouble. "Estis. Hush yourself and come'ere." The young teen held out her arm to the young green flit. Mentally encouraging her to land.
Fescues crooned and landed on the free shoulder as if showing the new green how things where done. Her wings flipped to her back as she peered at the black flit on the other girl's front. Estis finally swirled down to land, but kept up her shrill scolding. Too many flits around! She wanted to be sure she got the oil and food. Boreal gave a commanding cheep to silence Estis. That was enough of that.

Wykla sighed. She felt she was looking as awkwardly as possible right now. "Eh, feeding and bath time." Her explanation to the other girl. Three was definitely more cumbersome than two, she thought, looking at green holding onto her arm. A familiar voice made her blink.

She watched as the woman got up and headed toward Ashmere. Wykla didn't think they'd need her help, but she hesitated going on.

The noise on the cliff pulled Rikki's attention and she smiled. It seemed that Tease's hatchmates wanted to be known around the area. The green sensing that Her's wasn't paying attention to where they were swimming, poked a talon in Rikki's scalp. "Ouch! There was no need for that." Shaking her head, she turned back to swim towards the beach.

Phro swam along side and sprayed water up at the flit. Tease decided to show Rikki an image of a large fish. Shocked by the image, the young dolphineer missed a stroke and ducked under the water.

Janeallia blinked and turned away from the on coming lizard to look at the girl bearing three. She smiled and waved a little,

"Oh don't worry about it, it would have been bad for me to fall asleep out here, and knowing Moor he'd let me sleep the night out here so long as he was warm."

She reached to stroke the lizards head as he looked up at her with a questioning squeek. Then he was looking back at Estis, Fescues and Boreal giving them a questioning squeek as well.

"I couldn't imagin having more than just Moor to take care of. I love him dearly but two of him would be the end of me."

She tried to seem relaxed as she spoke, not wanting Wykla to think she was being mean or anything.

"I'm Janeallia by the way, I don't believe I have heard your name yet. May I ask what it is?" She looked about to speak again when a distant "Ouch!" reached her ears and she looked towards the cliff edge, instead of continueing her train of thought she asked "Did you hear that?"

Wykla nodded politely. If she waved it would surely set Estis off. "Oh, uh glad to help. I guess." Curiously she eyed the little black flit. Nobody could beat her Boreal, but that didn't mean she wasn't curious.

"His name is Moor? Mine are Boreal, Fescues, and Estis. Trust me. Two is far easier than three." Wykla made a slight face. "Only got two shoulders. Boreal and Fescues were so easy. Estis is a bit uppity."
Estis swiveled her head to look at the black and started scolding. Fescues gave an encouraging cheep to the black. Boreal hummed at Moor, then gave a commanding squeak to Estis again.

"My name's Wykla. Nice to meet you Janeallia." Wykla tilted her head to listen. After a moment she shook it. "No I didn't, but then I've got her." Gesture to Estis. "I'm headed down to the beach anyhow. I can check."

Janeallia smiled a little, but frowned when Moor scrammbled from her arms to her shoulder to look over towards the cliff.
"Och Moor, careful buddy."
Then to Wykla, "Yes I think it works for him." she smiled a little again "I can see that" as Moor recoiled against her neck as Estis scolded him. Jane reached up to touch Moor, to sooth him and he started to coo leaning into her, his little claws flexing in the material of her tunic.

"Like wise Wykla."
She worried her bottom lip, she wanted to make sure whoever had cried out was okay. And what if Wykla couldn't help them? She said,
"Hey I'll go with you, I'd just look over the cliff, but with my luck I'd fall."

"Alright then." Wykla waited for the other girl to rise. She really needed to train Estis to settle down. After a moment she headed down, following the path to the beach. Wykla watched as Boreal and Fescues fluttered ahead.

"Are you a candidate?" She glanced over her shoulder, trying to strike up a conversation.

Rikki surfaced, sputtering and glared at the green flit. "Why you little..." She turned when she heard Phro laughing in her dolphin way. The young woman splashed at the dolphin and flit. "I swear you two are out to get me at times."

She made her way to the beach and watched as Tease took off up a trail, chirping happily at whoever was on the trail.

Janeallia smiled kindly towards Wykla and the flits as they started towards the beach. Moor moved to perch on her shoulder, his tail curled behind her shoulder and under her arm, a wing claw caught in her hair to keep his balance as he croon happily. She reached up to rub under his chin then looked to Wykla at her question.

"Aye, for about a turn anyway. I'm actually a beastcrafter, I agreed to stand the sands the one time, if I don't impress with the next clutch I'll age out and go back to my journeying. What about you?"

She answered the question and asked one of her own as another flit came up the path chirping at them. Moor shifted on her shoulder pressing closer to Jane's neck.
