Lucia:
Luci ran across the sand, a smile on her face. She'd get to play with her friends today. Sure, her uncle was not too far behind her, jogging along instead of running, but it didn't mean that she couldn't have fun with him around. He was just playing chaperone, to make sure she didn't get lost or in case someone came along to threaten her, the other cubs, and Haku's mom.
She ran straight for the highest dune possible, knowing that she'd be able to see all around from there. It was tough going getting up the dune, she even slid down some lengths a couple of times, but she managed to get up to the top all by herself. Her uncle sat at the top, looking down at her as he waited.
"Do you see anybody, Uncle?" she asked when she finally got to the top, ears perked up as she looked around at the sandy landscape. She had her bottle with her, filled with some of the oasis water, but she intended to leave it with her uncle once she started playing.
Glozelle:
Gloz sat at the top of the dune waiting for his niece. It was interesting how they were opposites, just like he was with his brother. Gold eyes and brown fur on one, gold fur and brown eyes on the other. He'd stopped wearing his rhino helm a long time ago, but not his pelt and the medallion. It was just a part of his past he couldn't let go of.
A small quirk on his maw was the smile that he gave her.
"Not yet, Luci. But we just got here," he replied with a shake of his head. He, too, turned to look at the world around them, keeping an eye out for enemies just as much as he was looking out for her friends.
Gin Matsuba:
The mother of Kohaku and Utsuki was not very pleasant with the prior visit. Not when Kowab was being ill to his mother and pinned the blame on others. He just wasn't happy and when he found out that Gin had left already early in the night. He threw a fit and Gin's friend had to suffer through a very mad cub. Gin on the other hand was smart and left, taking two of her boys with her. One hadn't talked to her in a while. He just wasn't all about talking, while Kohaku cared soully to his youngest brother. She, was proud but still awkward towards the paths so different that they had chosen. The sands were cool and in the night they did trial runs and when the sun came out they went to full force training. Even Utsuki had to be involved, if you were blood of Gin, you had to know the art of fighting.
Several excerisies and situations that they had to endure and the sun was burning extra hot when the sun was high up. She would not let the time pass like it did last. No sir.. She would use every moment.
Kohaku:
His breath was running low as he panted and kept on fighting and fighting, especially with his younger brother. Sparring some while at times he had to rest since mother said he had been sick lately, he went on to spar with his mother for hours straight. Getting advice from her as they went on. "Right left~" he chanted as he eyed her positions and finally attacked her enough to pound her chest in almost the most deadlists spots.. Then the exercise was over.. Huffing as she congradualated him. Looking up at her with pride and finally he had succeeded in one hit to mother.
Utsuki:
Utsuki, by the time the training started, he was already wheezing and though he was in shape, he wasn't in the condition to be fighting. Trying to hide this from mother, he went on anyways and tried his hardest and almost passed out during a sparring session with Haku. Staying some feed away. he waited til his mother was done before being helped upon her back..
Gin Matsuba:
"And as for a reward for your hard work.." Taking up her youngest and placing him upon her back before she snagged kohaku by the tuff... and started to walk. Their questions on where they were going ended as they came up to somewhere quite familiar.. Kohaku knew.
Kohaku:
"This is- NO WAY! THANK YOU SO MUCH MUM!" He exclaimed.. then wiggled to get free once there. "Do you think she is here? Waiting on us?" His tail happily flipping to each side before she gave a nod and showed him where the familiar dark male had been. "!!!! LUCI!~!!!" He called out and started to dart towards the dark male.
Lucia:
Luci's ears perked up when she heard her name and her head zipped around. She'd been looking in another direction, but from this one she could see Kohaku running towards her! Kowab wasn't with him, but she thought she could see another cub on miss Gin's back, so maybe she would have another new friend! She only gave her uncle a quick look for permission before she slipped the bottle out of its harness, nestled it into the sand, and took off at a run for Kohaku.
"Hey!" she called back happily, tail high and ears pricked forward. After her problems with Saul the day she had met Kohaku and Kowab, she had stuck close to the den. One of her brothers bugged her, another one tried to get her out of the den when they weren't at school, but she was too excited for when she would get to see her friends again to risk her cousin ruining anything.
When she was almost about to run into him, she nimbly dodged away, hopping to one side and turning so that she could face him.
"I was almost afraid you wouldn't come!"
Glozelle:
Gloz just stayed where he was as Luci ran down the dune, shaking his head at her antics. He'd never seen her this excited, and he had known her all of her life so far. It had been strange, becoming an uncle, but he seemed to not be failing terribly at it. He was actually... not terrible with cubs. He had been overprotective of Ela, but she had grown up fine. He had tried to help Zhen while staying a paw's reach away from her and yet his actions had caused her to open up and become a better lioness. Perhaps he was better at this than he had thought, perhaps it was just that Ela and Zhen had circumstances no one should have to be prepared for.
She was so happy running to meet her friend, and when she sidestepped and moved out of pouncing range, he felt pride ruffle his fur. He hadn't taught her that and he was pretty certain his brother hadn't, either, but she had done it. It was a graceful fighting tactic, though her movements were awkward. She must have seen some of the adults sparring, perhaps had caught a glimpse of a match between Ela and himself. Dodging was Ela's thing more often than not.
He nodded politely at Gin, not saying a word as he picked up the bottle in his teeth and carefully carried it down into the shade of the dune where he could sit in more comfort.
Kohaku:
"Mum wants us to visit often since these are hot sands! Isn't that exciting! We could have fun in the sun~ Before I have to go back to my pride.." Smiling wide as he backed off a little and looked at his brother before turning tail and walking towards his family. Looking back at her. "Hold on~ I'll check~" Trotting over and happily snuggling his face in to his brother."Hey~"
Gin Matsuba:
Shaking her head as her son interacting with Luci, yes he was affectionate but it was distinct that he had it in for her.. and that was scaring her but like she knew from her expirences, they had to learn it for themselves.. Still remembering her cubhood sweetheart that ailed her to remember... "Kohaku.." She whispered and gave him a headbutt. "We don't want to stay too long.. Utsuki needs water and-"
Kohaku:
"That's what I was gunna tell yea mum! Luci said she had water for him if he needed it!" Nodding then looking in to his brothers eyes. Full of joy and love. "Do you wanna play with us~ Remember, Luci, the one I wanted you too meet?"
Gin Matsuba:
'Dangit' She shook her head as her cub pushed away from her. Killing her trying to seperate them.
In some way, a short visit every so often would be good but... "Utsuki,,,,,? Don't exert yourself if you don't have the strength~"
Utsuki:
Soft light purple eyes looking at his brother and ears planted as he was shown affection. It didn't quite hurt but it wasn't always welcomed.. but he wanted to be apart of it and want to show it that he accepted it for that pure reason. Looking up at his mother after she spoke then nodded to her. "I'll be ok mum~ I... wanna play.." A weak smile. "I'll be fine mum.." Nodding as he slowly got up and when he looked to the girl, his cheeks flushed and bowed his head. Only because he was shy, he did it with mostly everyone..
Wobbling after his brother as he was lead closer to Luci and in so being behind his brother the whole time. Giving her a weak smile, not asking for the water, as he knew sometimes that was scarce..
Lucia:
Luci smiled at how happy Kohaku was and the prospect that he would come often to visit. Would he bring his brother every time? That seemed like it might not be good for the smaller male. She didn't follow her friend towards his mother, just watched the familial interaction. She liked that, it reminded her of her own family. Sure, sometimes they could be gruff or annoying or sometimes even mean, but they loved one another for sure and it showed.
When Kohaku came back over with his brother, she smiled back. She could be shy, too, but no where near as bad as Kohaku's brother seemed.
"Wait here," she said before standing up and running back over to her uncle to retrieve her bottle. Holding it carefully in her teeth, she came back with it to sit down and carefully rest it on the upturned pads of one paw.
"Do you want something to drink? It's why I carry it around, after all."
Kohaku:
He bowed his head when he came near and purred at her. "This is Utsuki.. He is a lil' shy but he is really awsome! Don't let his shyness foold you~" He turned to him and gave a side ways step aside as he tried to nudge Utsuki forward. He didn't seem like the type to just run up and tackle. Kohaku sure would, and so would Kowab.. but not this cub. Not not this one. Ears back. "Utsuki~ It's ok.. if she offers you could take it~" Nudging him more..
Utsuki:
He almost slinked back when she had started to leave then come back running up. He wasn't fearful but it was a girl and on top of a girl, it was a pretty one that Kohaku talked a whole lot about. When he was nudged by his brother, no wonder he liked her. She was kind and so sweet. "Thank you.." He spoke lightly and a whisper for a male before lowering his body and taking the offered bottle.. Showing that his mouth was dry from the heat and training. Obviously before he looked beyond her to Gloz. Then looked back at her. "Is.. he mad at us.." Questioning with big giant bug eyes when he did fully open them, the most darnest cutest male cub Gin had ever birthed.
Lucia:
Luci just smiled all the more when Kohaku's- Utsuki took the small bottle from her. When he asked about her uncle, she glanced over her shoulder to see Uncle Gloz where he had been sitting, still, looking off, his ears alert.
"Oh, no, he's just being watchful. It's what he does, and he's always really quiet and kind of grumpy-looking. I don't think he really knows how to be around others when he isn't barking orders," she replied, turning her attention back on the boys about halfway through talking. After a moment, she leaned close so that she could lower her voice.
"He was a general back in his old pride. I'm not sure if he's adjusted to being just a guardian just yet," she added softly so that her uncle wouldn't hear her. It was wrong to say things like that, it was gossip and that wasn't really respectable. But she really did think it was true. And Kohaku was her friend, didn't that mean they could share secret thoughts sometimes?
"Why would you think he was mad at us?"
Utsuki:
His ears went up then fell back down at understanding what she was saying with hefty nods. "Oh~ Because Kohaku likes-" Then was muffled by a paw and an over protective embaressed Kohaku. Looking at his brother giving him a signal he was unfamiliar with. Only Kowab acted like that, so maybe he should react the same. "Sorry!~" He smiled nervously and poked his nose in to the bottle... "How do you get it out~" He spoke softly.. Poking his nose in it again with a thud- getting it stuck and softly shaking it off with a questionable look, ears flat as he felt like this was really the wrong way to go about it.
Kohaku:
"Nothing~"
He laughed cautiously and nudged the bottle at Utsuki before he started to push his nose in it. A laugh so shy like until his brother got his nose stuck. Then he just straight out laughed and hit and padded at the floor. "I don't - gasp- think thats how you drink the water! Silly~ " Taking the bottle gently and softly pulling.. careful not to break it since it looked semi fragile. The water was so close~ yet so far! "How do we do this Luci~" He asked muffled by the bottle in his maw.
Lucia:
A laugh escaped Luci as the brothers tried to figure out how to get the water out of her bottle. It was a lot easier than they were making it out to be, but she supposed some didn't really consider the other way.
"We don't get rain often here, but when we do, sometimes my mama and papa let me go out and catch drops, have you ever done that?" she asked, taking the bottle in her paws again and holding it up as high as she could. It was high enough that neither boy would have to duck very low to get his mouth under it.
"You sit outside and lean your head back and just open your mouth and wait. Here, Utsuki, get kinda under my paws and tilt your head back a bit, like this," she added and tilted her head to demonstrate how far. If he tilted it too far back, it could go down the wrong tube in his throat and he'd choke. And she didn't want that at all!
Kohaku:
Kohaku lowered his body as he watched in awe after plucking the bottle out of his brother's nose and smiled as he watched them interact. Why she being so nice to his family? Why did it just look right? Laying and watching with a silly look on his face where he was really just looking a Luci and not anyone self.. Homed in.
Utsuki:
He shook his body a little and the 'thunk' sound let off when he finally got released and he gasped for a moment before looking at Luci with a soft endearing look and followed her instructions almost to a T. Tilting his head back and sticking out his tongue.. "Ahhhh~~"
Lucia:
Luci smiled some more.
"You're so adorable, I wish my little brothers were more like you," she said and tipped the bottle until water poured out into his mouth. She let it flow for just a bit before tipping it back to stop it, giving him space to swallow.
"When I'm at home, sometimes I carry a bowl with me. I should probably bring one next time i come out here. Maybe I can get my aunt to make me a sack to carry it in," she mused aloud, casting her smile on Kohaku. It was then that she realized he was watching her. Just... watching. It made her a little nervous and flustered and she looked away with a shy tilt of her ears.
"Um, ready for more, 'suki? Can I call you 'suki?"
Utsuki:
Softly nodding. "Sure~" Then he nodded happily purred in to her as he slowly began to warm up. She was so kind, it made him blush but he wasn't at all attracted to her like his brother.. Maybe more like a mother or older sister. Purring in to her as he stuck out his tongue again and lapped at the air above his face.. "Suki~ Suki~" He chirped like a cheetah.
Kohaku:
"Aww.." But then he caught her looking at him, and turned her head. His ears fell then and made him react as if he did something wrong and looked down for a moment before watching her again with soft eyes."Utsuki~ Your so cute..So after this~ you guys wanna play tag? Or catch tail? Or frog?" Giving out ideas..
Lucia:
Luci's eyes widened at Utsuki's reaction and her fur fluffed up as she basked in the cuteness of Kohaku's little brother.
"You're, you're just too adorable!" she exclaimed, grinning so hard it almost hurt. Why couldn't her brothers be more like him indeed. She wanted to give him a big hug, he was too cute, but he was probably still thirsty so she gave him some more water. She repeated the process until the bottle was mostly empty and put it back in the sand.
"I was actually thinking maybe we could try hide-and-hunt. I've never played it before and I thought it would be fun," she replied, looking from one brother to the other. And it seemed like a game that would be good for Suki, since she didn't think running about would be good for him. The only snag might be her uncle and their mom.
Utsuki:
"!? Yes please~ If I can~ I dun wanna get in trouble. Is it the game we play at home?"
Kohaku:
"Yea~ That we come looking~ someone has to turn around and then come looking?"
Utsuki:
His eyes went big and a smile surfaced after he had drank the water and nuzzled up to her in thanks before propping up with a huge loving touch about it. Childish, way more than Kohaku was as he trotted over to his brother and laid on his back. "So who turns around first? The desert is hard to hide in.."
Kohaku:
"Well.. " He looked over to Luci, do you think your pride would let us in for a short time? Just so we could play ? Since you have temples right? I heard that from mum..." Very questioning in his voice as he slowly lifted his brother up, what looked like with ease but careful not to make him fall. Mother did it and sometimes it was apart of his training.
Lucia:
Luci nuzzled Suki back, smiling. He was just too cute, she almost wanted to adopt him as another little brother or something of the sort. It was silly, but she didn't have a little brother she could baby. Her brothers were all too tough for that. Kohaku asked if they could play in the temples, but she didn't look too keen on that.
"I'm not sure if we should..." she replied. For one thing, they were very big and she was afraid Kohaku or Suki would get lost trying to find some place to hide. Or worse, go somewhere they were not allowed. Secondly, if they went to the temples, they might run into Saul or one of her brothers, and she didn't really want that either.
"We could play in one of the oases, though. There are places to hide there and behind dunes and things like that. Will you mama be okay with it?"
Utsuki:
Suki of course was ok with anything Luci said, she was so sweet that he had honestly came to a liking of her. More like an older sister with how he was being treated. Purring in to her as he nuzzled and looked at Kohaku. "Oasis sounds good si- Luci~" He stopped himself as Kohaku looked at him rather confused like for his almost mistake in idenity.
Kohaku:
Kohaku hopped around like a bunny for a moment as he tottled over to half way to where his mother had laid. "Could we hit the oasis~? So we could play a game? Luci said it isn't far~ we been there before remember? PLEASE~"
Gin Matsuba:
Gin gave her son a hefty nod, as she rose her body up and looked to gloz. Raising her voice so he could hear. "May we come to your oasis?" She called out to him in a assertive yet strong voice.
Lucia:
Luci watched as Kohaku bounded over to his mama and asked her if they could go. She didn't seem bothered by the idea, but she made sure to ask her uncle for permission. Looking over her shoulder at Uncle Gloz, she made the most pleading look she could muster, ears back, eyes wide, and everything.
"Please, Uncle..." she even said, trying her best to be pleading but not to a point where he would be annoyed. She knew him well enough to not push too far.
Glozelle:
Gloz looked back from where he had been gazing elsewhere when he was addressed by the female. He didn't see any issue with the cubs playing in the pridelands just as long as they didn't cause any trouble. He would be there, after all, so there wouldn't be any problems.
He was about to say that he didn't have a problem with it, but Luci interrupted him, as he if had already said no.
He looked to her with one eyebrow raised slightly.
"You may play in the oasis, but you and I are going to have a talk later, young niece." His voice was as passive as ever as he walked over and carefully slipped her bottle back into the holder at her side before turning to lead the way to where they would play.
Gin Matsuba:
The mother was happily obliged to have her boys follow the oler males, she was a few behind him but something she wanted to tell him. Something that she thought would like to be talked about, noting what he had to said Luci, it was apparent she needed to do the same with her eldest son. Her eyes did not go unnoticed of her son's actions. Nyack was particularly the same way and she knew that side well enough. Moving along with a lil jump to her step in trot until she made it a few behind Gloz.. "Can I talk to you for a moment.."
Utsuki:
Suki was overjoyed to say the least. The cub was going in with a few added steps close to Luci's side with a slower walk, a little wheeze here and there but all in all.. He was pushing forward. "I'm happy we can play.." His voice ever so quiet.
Kohaku:
It seemed like Kohaku was always happy when he was with Luci, spending time. His heart was already setted and he didn't even know yet! Coming up behind his brother and Luci, backtracking just to be on the lookout.. Mother said, you could never let your guard down. You just never know, so he waved his eyes around before padding. Over hearing Utsuki and chuckled some. "I'm glad, we get to see another land and be with Luci~"
Glozelle:
Gloz looked to Gin as she came up next to him and gave her a nod.
"In a moment," he replied shortly before they rounded a dune and one of the pride's oases lay before them. He walked to the shade of a tree where he could see clearly and then turned to the cubs.
"Go play," he said and waited until they had gone off to play their game before turning to the boys' mother.
"What did you want to talk about?"
Lucia:
Luci was so happy she would get to try this new game! She skipped as she walked, until she felt sparse grass under her paws. When her uncle told them to go play, she walked a little ways away from the adults before turning back to the brothers. She was a little worried about her uncle wanting to talk to her, but she sort of had the feeling that it had to do with her pleading. She had assumed, after all, that he would be against the idea and one should never assume...
But no matter, she could worry about that later.
"Okay, who wants to be the seeker, first?" she asked, looking from Kohaku to Suki happily.
Kohaku:
His paws made it beyong the hill as he stopped next to his mother. "Should I still be on duty.." Ears went down. "I can stay on the look out and help keep everyone safe.." Looking up, fully knowing his heart wanted to be playing with Luci.
Gin Matsuba:
His mother shook her head. "No, in this pride's land.. you are safe my son. Go off and play with your friend and brother, please don't let him over do it. I will make you carry him back." Eyeing him before looking back to Gloz when she finally saw her sons off.. "I believe.. you and myself have the same concern.." Her voice was low, and serious. "I know my son's actions did not go unnoticed.." Ears pinned back as she watched them bundle up to see what they would play.
Utsuki:
"Woah... " Looking yonder he could see the amazing temples.. "This is where you liiiive~" Amazed. "It looks amazing~~~!" His heart was really giving forth to how amazed he was. Then looked to the oasis.. Water.. he was extremely excited. "How are we gunna hide if there is no place to hide? Its all open?" Looking to Luci as he was like stuck to her side. Much more smaller than Luci and Kohaku.. Then he started to have a coughing attack for a mere moment before gaining control. He was learning that..
Glozelle:
Gloz let out a small chuckle, barely noticed.
"If you are referring to my comment to my niece, I intend to remind her that she should not go assuming that I will say no when she asks for something," he replied, with a small nod of his head. But any mirth that might have been in his eyes when he said that fled as he sobered.
"But I understand your concern. The other boy, Kowab, I noticed his actions as well. I doubt Lucia is even aware of how they have taken with her. I've considered telling her father, but I'm unsure of how to approach the matter," he replied, gold eyes watching the cubs intently.
Lucia:
"Well, there are some trees and bushes and you can hide behind dunes and stuff. I do that all the time- ..." She stopped abruptly there, realizing that she did do that often, to hide from Saul if he was bothering her. Or if she wanted to be alone. She realized she hid a lot in her life, her ears flicking back as she did so. But she decided that she didn't want to hide anymore if she could help it!
"Here, I'll go first at being the seeker, and you two can-" But then Suki went into a coughing fit. Her eyes widened and she touched his shoulder, looking concerned.
"Suki, are you alright?"
Gin Matsuba:
She chuckled some as she almost thought she was wrong in her findings but when he expressed her understood.. Then she loosened just slightly. With Kowab's name being brought up, she could only chuckle. "That boy, Kowab- is only in it for teasing my son.. I doubt there are any further actions in the matter, as far as I know. I made it a point to find out and he said he only wanted to make Kohaku mad. He doesn't even desire to come along.. or so he said. I am just worried over how frequently she interacts with others.." Giving a nod before sitting down as she watched the cubs. "Kohaku is undergoing intensive training, so far he has been pushing even harder if I hold up my end to bring him here.. but I worry over the future, and I don't think coming here is doing any good but giving them a chance to interact.." She was speaking truthfully. "I wouldn't mind speaking to her father, if that is what needs to happen. Cubs are fragile with their feelings and I would mind what will happen to Luci if I did not bring Kohaku any longer." Speaking quite strictly.
Utsuki:
Hearing her and nodding in accepted before his attack and when it did, he curled under for a moment before coming back when she touched his shoulder. "I'm fine~" Almost out of breath before sucking in and slowly loosening up. "I'm fine.. Lets play~!" A child whom is sick, never knows how sick the sickness is.. and restricting him wouldn't be too smart neither. "Alrighty~ Are you turning around now? Come on Haku!" He yelled out in a not so yelling voice.. More like a louder normal voice.
Kohaku:
He quickly came up to their sides, and saw when his brother had the attack, immediately slinking over and pulling up in front of him. Paws lifting his brother's head and looking to Luci. "He gets like that sometimes." Nodding and softly brushing his brothers face with an added nuzzle. "Mother and I think you should be extra careful. If you think you can't do it- don't." Eye to eye before his brother broke the gaze.
Utsuki:
"I'll be fine!"
Glozelle:
Gloz frowned at her words and shook his head.
"Lucia does not have many friends, and most of them are related to her in some fashion. She is not the most social of cubs, I have not seen her play with any others besides her brothers and sisters until your boys and Kowab. I fear that if you stop bringing your son by, it will hurt her," he replied, honest as ever. She had a point, Luci could get too close to one of the boys and that could make matters even worse. But to lose the only real friends she had? No, he didn't think he could allow that to happen.
"No, I will talk to her father about this. I mean no offense, but understand that he does not know you, it will be easier coming from someone he knows."
Lucia:
Luci wasn't sure if this was a good idea anymore, not if Suki was this sick, but... Maybe he would be okay. He seemed ready to play and if Kohaku was going to allow it...
"Okay, I'll put my head down and cover my face," she said, lying down and putting her paws to her face.
"And I'll count to thirty and then come find you." She didn't note that she didn't quite remember the numbers after that. "One... Two... Three..."
Gin Matsuba:
"I believe it is interfering in some level with his learning.. but if she does not have many friends like you say. I will try it a different way. Even slower, I have been in paws very similar and it ails me to see it happen." Shaking her head. "My Utsuki is the same.. he isn't social unless some of his siblings are around. I hope he too does not become smitten. She is a fine young cub though, her father must be proud." Nodding. Complimenting a pride that was not her own? She knew good when she saw it.
Kohaku:
Kohaku's ears went up and a playful smile curred as he saw that the cub started to count. Looking down at her, for a moment so absorbed before Suki pushed him out of it. The only way he knew of was to keep Suki safe was to carry him around. "Com' on!" He spoke excitely as he quickly slinked under him and carried him off. "Where do we go~" Seeking Suki to be the 'brain' of the two for the game.
Utsuki:
He giggled with a softness before his brother started to daze. He giggled once more before pushing a paw against his brother's shoulder~ and finally getting picked up. Unexpectedly, he wanted to do it on his own! But when brother did something, he did it without a thought. "Hey~" Then go shushed as his brothe started to run and dodge. "There!" Pointing towards a tree that had significant bush around it. Others had it too but not as thick as this one. Perfect for hiding.. or so he thought. As soon as he was placed, he dug himself in a burrow and coiled in such a tight ball that he wouldn't allow himself to move.. Not even an inch.
Kohaku:
The time it took him to hide Suki, he barely had enough time to find a place for himself. Looking side to side before he saw sands move.. Looking at his pelt then the sand. In plain sight, one could not see.. that's what one had to remember. Diving in to the moving sands of a hill before digging his way through and once he thought it was good enough, he slinked in quickly and laid as still as possible.. But he forgot that sand was NOT red, and his tuff was plainly the only thing that could be seen..
Glozelle:
Gloz listened to the lioness in silence, not even nodding his head in agreement. True, he saw what she feared in her sons, but Luci... All he saw from her was the joy of a cub who had found friends. How he could recognize it, he couldn't tell, for he had never experienced it himself. Perhaps it was that he could have seen himself in Luci up until she had met these boys. And now she was so much happier. He didn't want her to lose that, and yet he didn't want her to hurt in the future. And he knew that if the boys had feelings that she did not share, she would still be hurt.
"He is, of all his cubs." Gloz wasn't absolutely certain of this, but he had doubts that Caspian would be any other way. In all honesty, he was surprised that Cas even let him near the cubs with their history. But the children would be such, and he had not made himself a problem with them.
"I don't feel there is anything we need to worry about too much."
Lucia:
"Twenty-nine... Thirty!" Luci called, straightening up and looking around for any sign of the brothers. And, of course, she found none. Even their pawprints had been shifted away by the sands. Well, she had to start somewhere, so she headed towards the most likely bushes, being as quiet as she could while doing so. That way, she might be able to hear one of them.
Maybe.
She looked in each bush she passed, but not as well as she should have, for she passed her gaze right over Suki and missed him. But Kohaku she didn't miss. His tuft of fur stood out perfectly against the sand and the next thing she knew she had pounced at him.
"Found you Kohaku!" she cried, grinning cheerfully.
Gin Matsuba:
She shook her head and watched her boys. She knew better, she knew what could happen. Easier to seperate when they were chidlren then do it later on when the boys would be fighting for her attention. Then he commented again on Kowab, maybe he was right? But she hadn't seen anything even remotely close to him liking her except when they first came here. At home, they were neighbors and he often spoke to her more than his mother, advice and etc but he hadn't shared anything but dislike for the sandy girl they met. Shrugging her shoulders. "Cubs are so simple yet so complex, its hard to tell." She offered. "It will get worse as they grow. But as a mother now, I will bring them only when their training is done.. sometimes if they can not complete they will not come. Only because it is a long walk here as you can imagen." Looking to him, seeing that he probably didn't have such an easy life like these cubs had it. Determined to show her children that life isn't always happy, so training must be priority so they could survive these harsh days ahead of them.
Utsuki:
Almost gasping, but holding his breath as he watched her pass by.. Getting closer, his heart started to race so hard that it felt like it was coming out of his chest. Then when he saw his brother's tuff he knew this part of the game was over and he could lightly breath, controlled and calmed more than when she was around. "Phew~" He commented then lifted his ears up to any decisions made. After his brother was surrendered, he lifted his head out of the bushes, cautiously. This was training, his mother told him. It wasn't always so boring and physically draining.. "Heheh~ He was easy huh!" He called out with a bright smile and bounced a bit towards them.
Kohaku:
When he was surrended, he plucked out his head, a mouth full of sand and once gasping for air through his nostrils, its like he inhaled sand and it tasted so horrid and dry. Hacking and coughing it up. "Oh~ You are so tagged- consider it when you are on the run!" He laughed and wiggled himself out of the sand. Shaking himself all around before trotting around her. Looking like he'd pounce her lowering his body but he knew better to do it to a girl. It wasn't polite, so he bounced away from her and close to his brother. "Yea~! Because you found a better spot~" He stuck his tongue out and went for the water. Throwing himself in it and dunking his head in for water and to clean his face off. OH DID THAT FEEL SO GOOD!
Utsuki:
Utsuki was a lil mischief finder, watering his brother bounce toward the water and roll but once he saw the rump come up and still to clean his face. Facing Luci, giving her the 'shush' digit, as he crept up behind Kohaku..The little brother couldn't help but be a little brother and took his front paws right on his rump and push lightly, but lightly even for them was slightly rump, causing Kohaku to roll forward in to the water! Giggling as he jumped around.
Glozelle:
"You are their mother. You do not have to bring them if you feel it is harmful to them," Gloz replied with a bit of a sigh, controlling himself. He wanted to bristle a bit, to question how she could make those kind of assumptions about what would happen in the future. Luci would never do anything to hurt anyone, this he knew. She was too soft-hearted. The only time he could even imagine that she would, would be when she had to choose between hurting one individual or another, or if she was being threatened. And he didn't really see the first situation occurring.
He wanted his niece to have cubs her own age that she could play with, but at the cost of this watchful mother? He wasn't certain of this.
Lucia:
Luci watched as Kohaku bounded towards the water, quiet when Suki shushed her. She didn't know what the smaller boy was doing until he had done it, and she ran over, a big smile on her face.
"Suki, that was so mean! Why would you do that to Kohaku?" she asked, trying to be supportive of the now soaked older brother, but she couldn't hide her laughter.
"You okay, Kohaku?" she asked, still grinning and giggling, unable to stop with Suki carrying on like he was.
Gin Matsuba:
"I worry about the girl's feelings more than hurting my boys. They can get over things- this will be certain given a length of time." Shaking her head and not even wavering to lower it. She just watched idly as her sons jumped about and got ready for their next set. Not helping her serious demour when her youngest son pushed her eldest in to the water. A lightness came over her. It was the first time he had ever lifted a paw to his brother. Myabe it was instinct of playing, which she encouraged a lot when they were with their neighbors back where they were from.
Kohaku:
"YEA~!" He spat out, drenched even more than he had anticipated. Pissing out a rush of water before giving Suki an irritated look but he couldn't be bad at him very long. It was hard to! "But I dunno how ok Suki is gunna be!" Propelling himself forward at him and tangoing in a fit of rolling and kicking up sand around them. Fake gnawing on him and pulling at his ear~ even giving him a nuggie! "Teach you to mess with big brother~" He laughed and pulled at his ear then finally letting go, pulling his brother close and messing up his hair tuff before coming back up, a paw over his brother's laying body. "Ok~ so ~ I think Suki is it~ since I totally beat him~" He chuckled.
Utsuki:
Of course, Utsuki was no match from the get go, he was toppled over easily and asked to surrended, which, Utsuki never really had a hard time doing, but he did today! "No way~" He chirped out from the sanding whirl wind they were making to even being held down and gnawed on! No! Never surrender~~~~~!! But finally, his much more bigger brother held him so tight to the ground, that a passing bug just crept right on through as they tumbled a little more before stopping. Then right when it happened, a spider started to crawl right in front of him and eating the bug.. "AHHH!!!" He flaked out and rolled in to haku's arms, pushing himself up and running behind him. "WHATS THAT!!!!" He pointed out in complete terror.
