Silence:

The world was such an enormous place. The pups were learning this from such an early age that it would seem more strange to them to settle down in just one place. Every day, there was a change in landscape, a change in terrain, even a change in creatures they encountered. The pups were very young so the pace was far from horrible, but it was enough so that they could hardly remember the place of their birth or the faces of those they'd been born among.

Of the pups, Silence was perhaps the most observant. He well lived up to his name and seemed content to sit by and simply watch. He spoke in a gentle tone that was more or less like a whisper or a breeze through long grass.

During their travels, he would occassionally break into song about anything and everything- birds, trees, the grass, the temperature- and while the lyrics were far from those of a true poet, his voice more than made up for it.

He was, sadly, a bit of a shy soul. He kept close to his mother and never took the first step towards anything.

That morning, he had found a nice place to stretch out and simply enjoy the sunlight. HIs more active siblings had been up for quite a while and had chosen their games elsewhere, leaving their more passive sibling to enjoy himself in the realm of his thoughts.
