So last week I actually went and bought some dice and a little character model to be my game piece. This will be the first time I spend more than 4 hours playing (I tried to play like 6 years ago and that's all we got to do due to circumstances).
My character is an Elf Druid with a honey badger pet. biggrin
What do you usually play as? Do you have any tips/ suggestions? Any funny/interesting stories about a time you played D&D? Wanna call me a nerd?

my longest running character was a half-orc Monk... brought him from level 1 to level 16 before he retired... so where in his career he through magical means became a large creature... standing at a stagering 11'8" and weighing close to 2 tons... he was a beast. other than that I've played a vast array of characters such as a Gnomish Bard/Cleric, a female human Fighter/Wizard, a half-elf Archer and many more... afterward I laid down my character mantel and picked up DM'ing... tips of gaming is just have fun, let things happen and own the game, My Orc monk was natorious for leading the group even though he had an intellegance of 9 so we were often lost or getting into trouble

Haha, one of the girls I'm playing with right now is an Orc. It's dangerous fighting with her because she likes shiny things (she attacked a huge sabertooth before knowing what it was because she saw it's shiny claws) and because my honey badger is fast and darts around, it distracts her and she has abandoned a fight to chase the badger.

My uy decided he wanted to punch down a iron door... and he literally spent 3 hours (game time) punching down the door

i once had an elf bard name david bowie. he was awesome all round char, then my character tried to use a magical device our group had found. it killed my char by permanently turning him into a magical sword. i had to roll a new character but on the bright side it was a really sweet sword, we named it the bowie knife

my gnome bard was fun... I didn't get to play him much but he specialized in using illusions which can be real fun if you have a DM who is willing to go with it.... for a while I had some kobolt servants who thought I was a dragon

biggrin !!! Im an elf druid. Starting playing recently and its so much fun. We added to the rules where if anyone rolls a natural 1, they have to take a shot. If a 20 is rolled, then everyone takes a shot. Its a lot of funXD

If a 20 is rolled, then everyone takes a shot. Its a lot of funXD until your dm cant handle his s**t and passes out, has to spend the night and spreads chewing gum all over the couch stressed

i play with my friend sarah and shes supposed to be an assassin, however shes horrible at it (part of her character) and tends to always carry around berries which she covers herself in oftenXD that and shes looking for a bear to keep as a pet smile
any ideas where dnd bears are located?>>
