A cool breeze swept through the streets of Destiny City. Orange, red, and light purple ran across the sky as the sun was finally setting and the night beginning with the full moon already resting high in the sky. Noel watched intently from the window of his family's apartment. Patrols started later in the summer and ended even later with the rising of the sun since he was forced to adjust to the hot summer days. Not to say he wouldn't transform in the middle of the day, but he certainly did his best not to given his weakened state during the warm months of the year. Spring was manageable, but only barely. However, once the temperature rose, Boreas was confined to the slightly cooler nights. Thankfully, the sun finally did set and Noel grabbed his henshin pen and headed out. Unlike other nights, Noel was nervous about encountering a youma. In fact, he felt the same mix of fear and adrenaline like he did the night he first transformed into Sailor Boreas. Tonight, Noel would experience what a super senshi could offer. As he made his way around the block, he tried to only think of the benefits and hope his powers could withstand the summer heat. Making his way to the subway station, he swiped his pass and hoped on a train to the part of town that not only possessed the many high schools, but also their dormitories. Noel knew this area was a hot spot for youma and the Negaverse. Aiming to test out his new abilities, the senshi of winter crossed his fingers for the chance to face a youma.

"The train has arrived. Please exit the car in an orderly fashion. Thank you for riding with us."

Stepping onto the sidewalk from the grimy subway entrance, Noel found himself in the heart of what he liked to call "Jail Bait Central". Blue eyes darted back and forth as he watched the high school boys in their uniforms as they made their way around the campus. Some lingered in dark corners, most likely for illegal activities that weren't on the approved list of Hillsworth activities. Ignoring the delinquents and their followers, he headed towards the athletic center in hopes of encountering another kind of delinquent.

Since the official term had not quite started up yet, that meant there was still time for him to use the facility without being shooed away for any other sport's team practice. This coming school year, it would be more difficult to find an outlet for his fencing practice, solely because the other two teammates he had accompanied for two years had both graduated the previous term. Even with all of his investigations, he had found himself unable to find any replacements.

Which meant the Fencing Team for Hillworth was shut down.

It was a pity, but it definitely wasn't any sort of tragedy. They had been a sport for fun and for practice. They didn't win any big competitions, they didn't go to state. In fact, for the past two years, Hillworth had honestly been quite reluctant to let them have a team at all. Howl accepted this gracefully and did not attempt to throw any sort of tantrum at the school's stance. Come the official start of the school year, he would no longer have this particular extracurricular activity on his list of daily activities. Perhaps this year was the year to contemplate getting a job?

In the corner of the athletic center, Howl had cleared out an area for himself to work. Since he had no opponents to go against, he did not necessarily need to wear the classic protective gear. His teal hair was tied back in his tell-tale ponytail, and in preparation for the work out, he had decided to go with a sleeveless white undershirt. Since most of the pants he owned were actually nice, he had decided to wear the white breeches that went with his fencing gear.

Considering the environment he was in, it wasn't unheard of for other student to walk past and cough out at his expense slurs such as "f**" or "Homo!" These commentaries went ignored as he swiped at his invisible opponent with his fencing sabre. After all, when amongst neanderthals, one did not need to sink down to their level.

Though the term had not officially started for the students, the faculty and some boys had returned for various reasons. Teams for football, basketball, and a few others had already returned to campus for the summer training camps as well as setting up the various athletic fields that went along with each sport. While no one had been reported missing yet, some boys found the camps much more difficult than others with their energy being drained and even a few starseeds missing. This wasn't the work of an agent of the Negaverse, but rather a youma would have managed to keep its hunger under control long enough to stay off the radar. It had made its home in a storage locker not too far from the teal haired fencer and took advantage of anyone who dared to remain in the athletic facility alone. The youma's body was very similar in appearance to the net sacks that were used to store the various balls for basketball, dodge ball, and soccer. This natural camouflage had allowed it to remain unnoticed by the sports faculty as a pile of such sacks with the actual body of the snake measuring around 30 feet in length. In fact the coiled beast's only give away was its rather strange head which was very reptilian at all with bulbous eyes that looked like basketballs and a head composed of the same net-like material.

Slinking out the storage door with the broken lock or at least the faculty was too lazy to lock said door, the youma slithered its way behind the various piles and leftovers until it spotted Howl in the corner.

"This ... one..."

Raising its head as it hissed, the youma used the only ability it possessed to attack: firing various athletic balls. The ball it fired in Howl's direction was a bright red kick ball that barely missed the teal haired boy's head. Thankfully, the beast's eyes were terrible unless it was dark and fluorescent lighting had saved him and alerted Howl to the beast's presence.

--------------------------------
Just outside the double doors, Noel was still poking around in the dark corners of the shrubbery in hopes of finding some evidence of a youma. No comatose bodies and no signs of abandoned belongings where nearby nor were there any torn articles of clothing. Youma usually weren't that clever and most if not all, were dumb enough to make themselves known in plain sight. Thankfully the snake youma making its way towards Howl was no different. A loud smack against the gym wall alerted Noel to something suspicious going on inside. As far as he knew, Hillsworth hadn't changed over to night classes nor had they instituted a late night dodge ball routine. Taking the initiative, he transformed in the bushes outside the gymnasium. Raising his redesigned henshin pen for the first time, he transformed into Super Sailor Boreas.

"Boreas Asteroid Power, Make Up!"

In a burst of snowflakes and streaks of leather fabric, Boreas had received a makeover and a feeling of power. While his body felt lighter and his movements swifter, he didn't have time to test the water and quickly sneaked into the gymnasium to assess the situation.

This was Hillworth. A school for delinquents.

It was not surprising that someone would be throwing sport balls at him. A red ball flew past, missing him completely, but smacked against the nearby wall and bounced out of sight. In all honesty, it reminded him of his first official school day at Hillworth, where Killingworth had that horrid dodge ball game. However, when he turned to see who his opponent was, he was not quite prepared for what was there to greet him.

What in the world was that abomination of a creature?! Howl had heard of the various monster attacks, and he had in fact been rescued by a monster by that Sailor Senshi, Sailor Virgo. What had been that term she used to call a creature such as this?

Oh, right, a youma.

Rather than run away quickly, the teal-haired lad merely stepped away slowly until his back was against the wall.

"...oh my goodness..." he uttered in a low tone. Despite that wave of panic that wanted to overwhelm him, he tried to keep his wits about him.

This thing had basketball eyes? How did that even work? Probably not very well considering how badly the flimsy creature's ball assault had missed. Rather than scream his lungs out, instead he was straining to keep his breathing as quiet as possible.

Making sure the heavy metal double doors didn't create too much noise, Boreas carefully closed them as he sneaked into the large, and somewhat messy gymnasium. Quickly hiding behind a pile of shoulder pads and assorted football gear, he let his eyes adjust to the bright fluorescent lighting before looking his new uniform over. Mostly white, with some interesting changes. He was happy to see the bow had disappeared and the shoes were more comfortable. Besides that, he didn't notice too much of a change besides the physical changes that made him feel faster and stronger. Not quite to the level he had heard others detail, but enough of a change to notice that his body felt more suited for a fight.

Once the senshi of winter felt adjusted to the gym's lights, he looked around to see what the commotion had been. A hand quickly covered his mouth as he spotted the ridiculously shaped youma on the other end of the building. Laughter had to be suppressed for several seconds as he tried to keep his cool long enough to sort out a plan. The beast didn't seem too aggressive besides its rather sporty appearance, so Boreas didn't mind testing the water a bit with the youma.

"Hey ball sack, over here!"

Taking one of the discarded shoulder pads, he used both arms to toss it right at the midsection of the snake's body. Though the sports equipment threw the youma back slightly, it didn't seem to greatly damage it. Boreas bit down on his lower lip and crossed his arms. It was at this point that he noticed the teal haired stranger leaning up against the wall. His breathing had been so quiet and Boreas had been too hasty to notice him at first.

"Oh hey! Are you okay!?"

As fast as he could, Boreas darted over to the unknown civilian. From his starting position he couldn't tell if they boy had his energy drained or if his star seed was still intact. However, as he reached the young man, he tried not to get too close so that he didn't attack Boreas. An unfortunate occupational hazard he had long worried about.
-----------------------------------------
The youma's intended target had completely disappeared from sight. Bright lights and the rebound from the beast's own attack had displaced the monster. With two of its main senses under fire, it quickly coiled up after its attack to preserve its life. This defensive state didn't last for long as the youma heard the senshi of winter enter and uncoiled to ready another volley of sports equipment. However, it was taken by surprise to have shoulder pads chucked at it without any attack. Usually it could discern a scream or two before objects started getting hurled its way.

"Pay... for ... thhisss... you ... will...”

A serious lisp masked most of the youma words and Boreas' movements only helped him discern the location of the two men once more. Rearing its head back, the youma opened its jaws wide to let out a volley of tennis balls at the two young men. Three of them smacked the wall just above their heads. The beast's aim seemed to be improving the longer the youma had to adjust to the room.

Teal eyes had been fixed on the strange creature, trying to take in anything he could. The body was flimsy, probably something that could have easily been burned up with a lighter (alas, Franz was deceased, so the pyromaniac would not be able to assist him). The eyes did not seem to be all that functional or practical. He continued to look over the youma's figure, trying to find any other practical weaknesses it might have had. Though, what could he do in this situation? It was not as if he had any sort of abilities like the Senshi.

It was about this time that a stranger seemed to address him. Slightly jolted out of his overly thoughtful daze, his eyes glanced towards what seemed like a blur of white that was swiftly approaching. Has it not been the concern in the question, the lad might have hopped away towards the side upon such an approach. However, such was not the case. Howl remained firmly planting his feet to the ground.

It was when the figure finally stopped next to him that Howl spoke up. "I am still in tact. This youma does not have good aim."

It was then that the youma launched a series of tennis balls just above their heads.

"...or rather, it did not have good aim." There was a slight pause as he looked over the young man's figure. "Might I ask if you are a Senshi? You seem vaguely familiar."

Rushing to lower his body as well as the civilian before him, Boreas sank down to rest on one knee as he tried to figure why the youma was becoming more a of threat with each passing minute. However, before the senshi of winter could work this puzzle out, he had to make sure the civilian was safe. He knew now that their protection and preservation was his true mission. Now that he was a super senshi, his priorities needed to change from defeating youma to protecting civilians. Making a notion for the teal haired boy to lower down to Boreas' position, Boreas still kept an eye on the youma before him. Oddly, it seemed to remain still even though the two targets were right in front of it. Boreas kept that in mind as he turned to Howl.

"Good, did it hit you before I got here? Are you able to move alright? Do I need to carry you out of here?"

Pausing for a moment, something about that statement seemed oddly familiar. An eerie sense of déjà vu set in at the notion of carrying the teal haired stranger. This sensation was made worse given this civilian seemed to recognize him somehow. Oddly, Boreas felt as if they had indeed met before, but he couldn't quite place the teal haired boy or how and when they met. Unfortunately, he had bigger fish to fry at the moment.

"Sorry, I'm Sailor Boreas. I'm here to protect you and get rid of that crazy thing. I know you must be scared, but I have to ask if you have seen this youma attack anyone else or if anyone else is in the gym with us?"

Still trying to remember his new found goal, Boreas did his best to reprogram his mind to focus on the well being of civilians instead of just beating the youma. Looking the room over once more, Boreas tried to find a better spot for the two of them to find a way to beat this crazy thing. After a couple of seconds, he pointed to the far corner where he had found the pile of shoulder pads and various assorted football equipment. It was a good spot for Howl to hide and it kept the beast contained.

"Let's try to get over there where that football stuff is. It should work as a temporary blockade while I try and take this thing out. Can you make it over there?"
-------------------------------------------------------
While the youma's aim had improved and its attack more successful than the first, the credit couldn't go to the beast's eyes. The two bulbous, glowing orbs were still harshly affected by the bright ceiling lights. The beast seemed to understand the source of the problem and instead of focusing on the two boys; it raised its head to aim its mouth at the ceiling. It didn't possess a clear understanding of where the lights were, but knew the source of the beast's detriment was from above. Head still risen, it yelled out in his harsh, lisp at the lights.

"Go awayss!!"

Opening its mouth and greatly detaching the jaw, the youma fired out two volleyballs straight up into the air. One simply got stuck in the large metal support beams that ran along the ceiling while the other just fell short of connecting with one of the large rectangular bulbs and simply crashed down near the youma's tail. Frazzled by the noise and unsure of the source, the youma fired another volley of tennis balls in the direction of the volleyball and then coiled its body up once more. This time the only part of it that moved was its head and it returned it focus to where the two boys where located. Still frightened by the noise of its own attack, the youma tried to intimidate them.

"I smell your starseedssss ands I'm comin' for your livesss!"

Opening its mouth wide, the snake monster detached its jar once more and fired out two colorful beach balls. Their light weight and the beast's lack of vision meant the two balls only smacked the wall several feet to the left of the two boys.

"Fortunately, it had miserable aim when it attempted to hit me earlier. I am quite able to move as needed." The moment the young man mentioned his name though, Howl remembered. It wasn't even deja vu in all honesty, he simply remembered that desert from his time spent in a coma. And one of his main companions from that excursion was a man named Sailor Boreas.

"It is a pleasure to meet you again, Mr. Boreas," he mentioned as if to pointedly hint that the two had met before. With such a hint left to linger in the air, he then gave a small assessment of the situation (as Boreas had asked). "There were no others here that I saw."

Of course, it was growing much more difficult to ignore the hissing cries of the youma. "...star...seeds...?" That was definitely a term he was not familiar with. He tucked that away in the back of his mind for later questioning, then listened to the proposed plan from the senshi.

"I should be able to make my way over there, Mr. Boreas." There was no questioning the senshi at this point. The senshi had much more experience with the youma than an everyday boy like Howl would have. After the youma had seemingly spit up a couple beach balls, the teal-haired fellow began to make a dash for the football equipment.

Waiting a few seconds after Howl ran off to the other side of the gym, Boreas stayed put to make sure the beast didn't fire off another round of sports equipment. The youma seemed to be teetering on the edge of dangerous, but its poor aim kept it manageable for now. With the strange creature still coiled up, Boreas then made a quick dash for the pile of football equipment. His movements were slower than his original burst of speed since the senshi of winter wanted to stay close to the teal haired fellow in order to make sure he didn't lose sight of him. It seemed the youma still had poor aim, but that didn't mean it couldn't fire off an attack without any warning. Once they reached their intended destination, Boreas made a movement for Howl to stay down and then placed a finger to his lips in order to convey that they should remain as a quiet as possible. Before he removed the finger, he gave the boy a smile and a wink, and then sank down low behind the equipment. Still low to the ground, he began to whisper.

"I think this youma is only able to track us by sound. If we remain very quiet, I think we can not only outsmart it, but also destroy it without any real danger. Please remain close so that I can make sure he doesn't catch us by surprise. I still don't like that he can fire different kinds of balls at us. Oh and nice to see you too! Hehe"

The senshi of winter paused for a moment while he tried to think of a way to quickly destroy the youma without involving Howl. However, he honestly felt more scattered brained than usual since he couldn't place where he knew Howl from. The teal haired boy had confirmed that this wasn't the first time they met, but Boreas only drew a blank when he tried to remember the exact details. Odd since he was never one to forget a pretty face and this particular boy had a very pretty face. Still he had to let that go for the time being and figure out a way to bring the ball sack snake down. Peeking over the edge of the sports equipment, he gave a sigh then turned to Howl.

"This youma doesn't seem to require any down time to recharge after attacking, I don't think that we will have much time between attacks. If you want to run away, we aren't too far from the door, but I need to know now. This may be the only opportunity you have to run or you can stay. It's your choice, but I would make the decision now since will won't have another opportunity like this."

As the senshi of winter spoke, he kept turning his head slightly to make sure the youma remained coiled up. Thankfully their footsteps hadn't caused much of a racket so the youma remained in its defensive position as they made their way to their new blockade.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 28, 2011 8:19 pm

Howl had every intention of remaining quiet. He had done such earlier and it had given him some pretty good results. So as the senshi suggested such, all he did in response was nod his head.

However, his nose began to itch. At first, all the teal-haired lad did was sniffle slightly, but it wasn't enough to appease the tickling in his nose.

"...I beg your pardon... but it seems as if my allergies are acting up..." he warned in a whisper, not understanding how such would be getting set off. Did Boreas have any furry pets?

It seemed as if she had been noticed, though it wasn't by anybody who was important. Rather than remain hidden for much longer, a small round animal seemed to pop out from the pile of football equipment. Trying to keep quiet too, she padded past the unfamiliar boy's ankles and rubbed up against Boreas' ankles.

With the arrival of the guardian cat and the extended amount of time the youma had to adjust to the bright, florescent lights, the reptilian creature was able to once again determine the group's position. Remaining coiled defensively, the beast barely moved its head as not to alert them to its presence. Fixating on the pile of football equipment, it quickly unhinged its jaw and fired off three random balls. Unfortunately, while the youma's aim had improved, its choice of attack had not as two ping pong balls pounced off the shoulder pads and a single football became wedged into one of the helmets. Though comical, the attack did let the group know the beast had them in its sights.

"Warningssss...."

The barely audible threat was hard to distinguish amongst the heavy lisp the youma possessed. With it's aim improved, the youma once again uncoiled and exposed the weaker parts of its net-like body. Fully extended, the youma's head almost touched the rafters while the last segment of the tail was only empty netting from its previous attacks. Singling in on the boy with the white hair, the youma fired off a single volleyball that smacked him right in his left shoulder. Keeping its extended stance, the youma bobbed its head in an effort to intimidate the group.

--------------------------------------
The senshi of winter's excitement at seeing the Manx caused him to jump up to his feet. A large grin covered his face as he opened his arms for a hug. His new found abilities and make over were her doing and he couldn't forget the wonderful conversation they had earlier.

"*********, my little tiny lady! .... Ouff!?"

As the volleyball slammed into his left shoulder, Boreas quickly sank back down to his knees, safely behind the barrier. Bringing his right arm to support his other shoulder, he could tell that he would have a bruise there in the morning. Though, he did realize that the hit would have broken his shoulder if he hadn't received the upgrade. Keeping his arm over the hit, he turned to Howl to make sure the volleyball didn't hit him as well while still trying to defuse the attack with a little humor. Boreas was still rusty when it came to working with civilians.

"Guess it knows where we are huh? Not to mention, I think I may know what is bothering you allergies, buddy. Haha."

Taking another moment to relax his left shoulder and look over the sports equipment barricade, he noticed the youma was still on the offense and that the beast had dropped its defensive stance. Releasing his hold on his left shoulder, he turned back to his two teammates.

"If I can get close, I can use my new attack. Do you think you can distract it ********* while keeping an eye on this guy? I know his pretty face is hard to stop looking at, but try to do your best. Hehe Think you two are up to the task?"
PostPosted: Fri Sep 02, 2011 3:06 pm

Considering that Howl had not stood up suddenly like the senshi, he had remained quite safe behind the stack of football equipment. He winced sympathetically as Boreas was hit, then let out a sneeze which he fortunately muffled with the crook of his elbow.

Unfortunately for Boreas, with the additional company of regular young man (alas, he was no senshi, no making a henshin pen for him), it meant that the cat would be remaining somewhat quiet. After Boreas had been hit, the cat headbutted his ankle with a slight mewing noise, as if to chastise him about being more careful.

Eyes watering a bit due to the presence of this feline, Howl asked in a low tone "Do you make a habit of speaking to your pet cat like this?" It was quite bizarre for him, especially the comments being made about distracting the creature. Had his face already not flushed from the fact the cat was causing his skin to get irritated, it would have flushed at the mention of how pretty his face was to look at. Howl, of course, already knew he had a pretty face, however, it wasn't often a man would mention it so readily.

Rather than nod her head, the cat simply stepped out from the hiding place, trip-tropping towards one edge of the facility. In as loud a tone as she could muster, she began to trill some cat noises in an effort to gain the youma's attention.

After the last attack, everything seemed to go quiet. There were no moans or screams, like the previous times the youma had encountered humans. With its bulbous eyes still adjusting to the room, it had to rely on the more accurate indication of sound. Any kind of sound would aid the creature in obtaining more starseeds, but unfortunately, the creature was left with nothing. Usually, this was a good thing since it meant that a starseed was ready and waiting to be devoured, but the youma didn't sense a starseed anywhere. The reptilian creature could only assume it had knocked its target out with that last attack, so without any caution or thought, the youma stayed fully extended, and waited to see before it coiled up once more.
------------------------------------
Though his shoulder was healing nicely, Boreas felt he had taken another hit by acting like a complete lunatic and talking to a guardian cat around civilians. Surely he had become too comfortable with their presence and even more so, the senshi of winter had become far too careless. His face turned beat red and he turned to Howl and laughed for a few seconds, very nervously with a grin that could only be read as awkward. Taking a second to pat ********* on the head as an apology for his slip up, the senshi of winter then tried to cover up his mistake. Nervously, he stammered on the first few words that weren't really audible before he was finally able to speak clearly.

"Oh yeah, she's like my favorite cat, but she's not my cat. I'm just one of those people that really likes cats. I mean, not like as in infatuated or anything strange like that. You know, they are just awesome and cool! I'm just a big supporter of animal rights and stuff. Which is why I... Uh... talk to cats like they are people, because they should be treated as such!"

Giving a nod and another strangely large grin, the senshi of winter turned his attentions to the youma. Though he honestly wanted to take another twenty hits before he had to try that speech again. In hopes of distracting the teal haired boy, he changed the subject to their survival. A hard feat for a senshi whose cheeks were still red from embarrassment.

"You've done a great job of helping out so far, but please stay put and stay low while I try and destroy this thing. Hopefully, it won't take much to bring it down!"

The smile that followed this one was much more convincing as it was more a reassurance that Boreas was going to try his best to defeat the youma and protect Howl and *********. Turning his attentions to *********, he watched the Manx make her way around the barricade and let out some meows that obviously caught the attention of the youma as it quickly spun its head in the cat's direction. Not one to let the moment go to waste, he quickly ran around the youma on the opposite side of the Manx's position. Boreas didn't care that his footsteps resounded loudly on the gym floor, since he was readying his first attack as a super senshi. With a running start, the senshi of winter was able to jump a considerable height, one that allowed him to reach the head of the snake-like youma with ease.

"Tundra Torrent!"

He could feel the surge of frigid air was stronger than ever before as it formed in his right hand. However, before he could analyze any further, he slammed the spiral down onto the youma's left eye. The bulbous orb quickly burst as well as a good portion of the left side of the monster's face. Though the head was still intact the youma instantly sank down to the ground in a panic. Landing on the ground, Boreas took in deep breathes as he raced around to ********* position. Grabbing the cat, he quickly held her tight against his chest as he tried to keep them both out of harm's way against the far wall where Howl had been earlier. Before he spoke to the cat, he made sure to check that Howl was still safe behind the barricade.

"Looks like my aim has improved, huh? Hehe. Now we'll have to see if that thing can take another hit. I'm thinking not."

With the obvious success of his attack, the senshi of winter's confidence was rising by the second. He hadn't anticipated that much damage, not to mention his reservations about what he was capable of now that he was a super senshi. A smile was plastered on his face as he waited for the youma to calm down.
------------------------
After Boreas' attack, the youma went into a frenzy as it threw open its jaws and unleashed a flurry of ping pong balls. A hundred or so shot out across the room and began to bounce all over the place. Just as before, the noise overwhelmed the now badly injured youma. Unlike the last time, the beast was too confused too coil up defensively and simply remained laid out across the gym floor. While greatly frightened, the youma still tried to intimidate its prey with a loud, lisp filled warning.

"KILLSSSS YOUSS ALLSSS I WILLSS"
PostPosted: Sun Sep 04, 2011 12:14 pm

The hesitation to the Senshi's words did not go unnoticed. "Either you are embarrassed or you are lying to me, Boreas." Howl could have mentioned it might have been a combination of the two, but he had gotten his point across. It also was quite strange to the lad that the feline seemed to know what the senshi had been talking about. There was no evidence. Felines were known to do their own thing. Perhaps wandering away and being a vocal feline was what the cat (who apparently was lacking a tail) was known for.

"You do what you need to do, and I will remain here." It was not like this Hillworth student had anything to offer in this fight with a youma. As he ducked down, the only thing that would give him information at this point were his ears. He had no clue what a 'Tundra Torrent' was. At this point, Howl would not get to find out.

********* watched on with no fear. It was her duty to help out when she could. Even now, in this form, she still had many tricks up her sleeves, though none were actually needed today. Boreas had bounded up to the youma, given it a good attack to the face, then come to scoop her back up against him.

Since the other boy wasn't watching, the feline merely offered a nod of her head as she agreed to his improved aim.

Though a short break was afforded for the group, soon enough, ping pong balls and a few random others went flying out of the remainder of the youma's mouth. Its head was badly damaged and it knew that if it took another hit from the senshi, it would certainly perish. However, the youma didn't move its body in an effort to escape, but went on an all out offensive against its intended prey. The snake-like monster would have tried to yell out once more, but its panic had driven it to continuously shoot out a volley of ping pong balls and a few other types. If any of the group could see through the onslaught, they would quickly realize that the youma wouldn't be able to move anyway since the netting that made up the rest of its body was quickly shrinking as the internal workings of the youma's body were also used as its only means of attack. Ignorant of its own weakness, the youma kept up its continuous attack; without any regard for its safety.

Keeping the cat between his chest and the gym wall, Boreas did his best to protect her while trying to formulate a plan that would put the youma down, once and for all. This would have been easier if he wasn't so easily distracted by the hundreds of ping pong balls that were bouncing off of him and the rest of the gym for that matter. Not one to give up, Boreas knew nothing would come of him simply protecting the guardian cat. This didn't mean he had a real plan, but he knew the youma wouldn't be able to take another hit from his improved magic. Relying on instinct and a lot of luck he readied himself for round two. Setting the cat down, he continued to shield her with his body before giving her a smile and pointing to the stack of mats a few yards away. This time, he made sure to keep his interaction with the cat hidden from sight since the senshi of winter had already screwed up before when it came to civilians. Speaking so only the Manx would hear he turned his body to give her a slight opening between himself and the mats.

"This will only take a second! I'm going to defeat that thing once and for all, so stay safe behind those mats over there while I finish things up here!"

Allowing ********* a few moments to reach safety, Boreas then turned his attention back to the youma that was now letting out a barrage of ping pong balls and what looked like footballs at the moment. Using his right arms a shield to protect his face while he looked for an opening for his next attack; he then remembered to make sure Howl was okay.

"Howl, make sure to stay down! I'm going to end this now, so don't panic or anything! You are doing great so far!"

Hoping his words offered some kind of encouragement or at least eased the teal haired boy's mind, Boreas then made his way closer to the youma with a quick dash. His plan was to attack the same way as before, since he didn't see a reason to fix something that wasn't broken. This time was different in that he now had to keep his concentration through a field of small plastic distractions. Using his running start once again, he jumped high into the air and readied his new attack.

"Tundra Torrent!"

A surge of frigid air formed in his right hand and he brought his both arms over his head to contain the magic spiral while he waited for the right moment to slam it down onto the youma's head, or what remained of it anyway. Within a matter of seconds, the spiral reached the other and completely wiped out the creature as it almost instantly turned into a large pile of grey dust. Landing near the center of the pile, Boreas made sure to search for any starseeds that were missing, but was thankful when there were none to be found. Wiping the dust off his uniform, he hurried over to Howl to check on him after the youma's final attack.

"Are you okay, Howl? Did that last attack injure you in any way? I was able to destroy that monster, so you are safe now. Do you need me to take you home?"

Offering the teal haired boy his hand in case he needed any assistance, Boreas kept a very warm smile plastered on his face. The senshi of winter felt wonderful after not only defeating a youma, but also protecting a civilian from losing his starseed. He almost felt like jumping up and down in excitement, but he would try to contain himself until Howl was safely home and away from such dangers.
