Excitement slowly rose in Imarogbe’s chest as he walked with his mother and brothers to their destination. Normally he would not be very inclined to move on a hot day like this one, but he would for where they were going. Today they were heading to visit his mother’s sister and his cousins. Since it was still early in the day, he and his brothers could spend the whole day there with his aunt and her children. Fortunately, they didn’t live very far away from their own den, so it didn’t take much effort to get there. Ima had gone there on his one a few times to play with his cousins.
Sometimes he would go with his cousins and visit his grandfather. As looked ahead, he could see their destination and he could hear some of his cousins’ voices. Seeing how close they were, Ima took off running ahead of his mother and brothers to greet his extended family in the pride.
