 His tail flicked in irritation. "Go hunt your own meal you old fool." He grumbled in a growl as he left his family's pack lands in search of prey. His father was hungry once again. not a surprise seeing as how the old wolf was always hungry. Passing a tree, he easily shifted into his feline form and marked the new area as his own not caring if he was intruding on some one else's land or not. He knew his father expected him to be gone a while since most of the prey had left their neck of the woods with good reasoning too. Five pure walkers all in one area they were lucky that the bats hadn't left their cave alone. His sister having developed a fancy for eating them as a snack hear and there.
Leaping in a tree, he lounged out on the branch and rested his head on his paws, his tail flicking lazily as he watched the area lazily. He'd hunt when he was good and ready to, not when it was demanded of him by his father. Let him go hungry for a while.. it'd just help to weaken the poor fool so he could step in and take him out. The thought of taking over his family pack made him purr with delight. Oh he had it all planed out now.. he just had to bide his time.

 Sayoko had been flying through the air but decided to touch down and eat some grass. Her mother's familiar was rested on her back, the little lion insisted on being with her as protection because she always got herself into trouble. The minute her hoofs touched the ground, the little black lion jumped from her back and scanned the area. Sayoko was forced to stand in one place as the lion searched for danger, he nodded his head in approval of the area. A smile formed on her face, she liked the lion even though he could be a pain sometimes, he was just so full of it that it made her laugh. She ignored the lion growling at her though and made her way to a nice lush patch of grass.
Her long black tail swayed to keep the bugs away from her, she began to eat the grass, it tasted good. There was a lot of moisture on the grass from the rain the night before.Ikuto was continuing to scan the area with his hawk eyes and listen for any sound that he supposed didn't belong.

His nose picked up the mare's faint scent and a smirk played on his maw. This was something of interest.. a sport to keep him in shape and even provide great amusement. Sure after his amusement was over he'd snuff the wretch's life out and drag her carcass home to be food.. but till that.. he could have himself a bit of fun.
Standing up, he dropped from his branch and still in his cat form stalked in the direction he'd smelt the mare. It wasn't long either till he came across the clearing in which the mare was. He prowled in the bushes along the edge, creeping around to get closer, being careful to be silent as he could. After all.. what good's the game of the hunt when the prey knows you're there too soon?

Sayoko was disturbed when Ikuto ran to her and hopped onto her back. He pawed at her long hair and seemed to be jumping up and down on her back. She looked around to see what could have made the black lion act in such a manner. Yoko didn't see anything but she thought it would be smart to heed the lions warning. She paid attention to her senses trying to get a feel of what belonged and was natural and wasn't. Her eyes continued to scan the area and she stood completely still waiting for whatever it was to come out and show itself.

His eyes narrowed at the sight of the little familiar. It would seem the little pest was trying to warn her of is presence. Well.. he'd have to deal with it soon enough. He waited, hunkering down and not moving as the mare looked around. He was playing at stillness like the other non touched cats would do. He wanted the mare to slip back into false ease before he continued on his prowl.

Sayoko was tired of waiting and decided to just go back to what she had been doing before Ikuto panicked. "Ikuto just stay close, no games." She decided to whisper the words and inform the little cat of her plan, if something was indeed out there targeting her, she would handle it in due time once it decided to show itself. But in the mean time, she decided she could have some fun taunting the being. "Whats wrong, scared of the big bad Ikuto?" She had a teasing tone to her voice but she was in a way being serious. Yoko wasn't one to be toyed with and she didn't have a lot of patience either.

He had crept closer still. Inwardly, he gave a snort at the thought of being afraid of a familiar.. those dolts had better fear him he thought. The familiar would make a snack.. maybe a toy for his sister.. The mare... oh suck a nice feast she'd provide his family. In this small form he looked little more than a familiar out on it's own and that was sometimes a great ploy. Let them think I'm one of their touched beasts of a friend... Not like I'm the one truly deceiving them. He thought as he grew closer still. Her taunts wouldn't get him to give up his stalking. nor would he allow them to get to him.

Sayoko felt like whatever it was that was out there was getting closer, she kept her eyes peeled and listened for a slight change in the noise around them. Her head lifted when she felt like the being was right up on her and she turned in a rush. Ikuto leaped back onto her back in case he needed to launch himself to attack what ever it could possibly be.

Manipulation wasn't always his greatest joy but this mare seemed like the best way to get to her just might be to manipulate and deceive her. Carefully, he got closer allowing the grass to wiggle enough to give him away. It was after the wiggling grass that he made his appearance into visibility as nothing more that just a blue familiar. Or so he'd let them thing that was what he was. Sitting, he nonchalantly licked at his paw and brought it up to wash his face, playing the harmless pet for now.

Sayoko breathed a sigh of relief once she realized that it was just a familiar. But then terror seized her again, what if the familiar was a decoy while the horse got her while she was distracted. She stared intently at the cat, waiting and wondering if she should leave. Her guys and every fiber of her being was urging her to leave. "Ikuto, sniff out any other horse here please." She begged the little lion, she knew he wouldn't want to leave her alone but she would feel better if there were no other horses around. Ikuto of course refused and didn't move a muscle, she sighed and decided that she should probably just go back home. Her eyes didn't stray from the little cat as she expanded her wings to take to the air. She scanned the area once more just to make sure it was safe to take to the air.

He saw her wings open and he fought his instincts to attack now while he had the chance. "Looking for someone?" His voice was a purr, fitting of his feral form. "Or have you found this area.... not to your likings?" He asked nonchalantly. It was his hopes that his conversation would stop her attempt to flee.

Sayoko paused when she heard the cat speak, she never once heard Ikuto speak, not since she was born. She knew instantly that it was no normal familiar, she rose farther into the air into safety before she answered. "I just found the being I was searching for and now I wish to leave." She told the little feline, then she made sure that Ikuto was safely on her back before she moved on outside of the area. Once she was out of the area, she breathed a sigh of relief.
