Greygor
Just getting off an all-night shift, one would think Greygor would be tired, at least a little bit. However that was not the case. The enormous lion had a great deal of energy still left to him; it had been a boring, uneventful watch. No one had crossed his path, and so he had no one to abuse for an entire night. He hadn't even had a partner on his watch, and usually those could provide some amusement, either as punching bags or cohorts.

As the sun began to lighten the sky the buckskin lion made his way back to his den. His paws left marks in the dirt, even though it was well-packed from being trodden by generations of Suka'Fumo lions. It had not been softened by a recent rain or anything like that. Greygor was just that heavy, and he was stomping because of his foul temper, which meant his paws came down even more heavily.

He heard a sound ahead and his orange eyes flashed. He hoped it would be someone victim-like.

Misri
The big green male was a happy one today. His mate had told him she wanted more children! Always a pleasant conversation. He imagined her face in the sunrise and thats when he realized just how.. devoted he was. Who knew, the womanizing Misri would grow to be wrapped around a females paw.

Taking a deep breath, he began whistling as he walked, swaying a bit side to side. He couldnt help but be happy. Nothing could damper his mood! At least nothing he could think of first hand.

Greygor
When the sound turned from that of a person moving through the underbrush to the sound of whistling Greygor frowned in momentary confusion. He would have sworn the first sounds came from a lion, but lions didn't whistle. At least, he didn't know of any that could. He also didn't know of any that tried. What a stupid thing to do.

He stomped through the brush and came quickly upon a green male who was large, though not as large as Greygor. Greygor had never met a lion as large as he was. His younger brother, who rarely occupied his thoughts, was powerfully built, but not on anything like the same scale. Greygor was a mountain of a lion. He was not impressed by the green lion's size any more than he was impressed by his whistling.

"That's annoying," he growled, deliberately walking past the other lion so that his shoulder would strike him hard. Yes. He was trying to start something.

Misri
Misri couldnt help but notice that large male that lumbered towards him. His expression was sour, and Misri wondered what it was that he was thinking. Though he soon decided he wanted nothing to do with this lion. However when he struck him with his shoulder, Misri hissed a bit and jumped to the side.

"Then ignore me." He said, eyebrows knitting together. He wasnt the type to fight, and hed certainly not fight any blumbering guard that was as large as a freaking water buffalo. No, he would take the high road, but only because he would be forced to.

Greygor
Clearly the smaller green lion wasn't a great thinker. Not that Greygor was a great wit or intellect, but he wasn't stupid. He also wasn't the sort of lion whose intelligence you would call into question within his hearing. It would give him an excuse for violence.

"I think it would be better if you were just quiet," Greygor said. "Or I could silence you."

The threat implied there was hardly subtle, but subtlety wasn't Greygor's thing. He was more the sort of lion you pointed at a problem and then stood back while he killed it. His ultimate solution to most things was to kill them, after all. Little things like whistling ranked as killable offenses right alongside trying to kill him.

Misri
"Look. I dont want trouble. So please lets not make this a big deal. Ill stop." He said, looking at the bigger male with his amber colored orbs. Pink tail fluff flitted side to side in irritation. He didnt want a fight. He knew he'd lose!

Greygor
"Yes. You will," Gregor growled, taking a step toward the smaller lion.

In the back of his head he knew that he recognized this lion as a member of the middle class, and that was good to know, he supposed. It wasn't easy to get away with losing his temper at nobility, but middle class lions like artisans and crafters, no one really cared about. And who would stop him? Not any of his fellow guards. They had the sense to fear his wrath. As did groundlings.

"I think I'm going to make sure you don't forget in the future. I'm not the only person who finds it annoying when lions act like birds, you know."

The mammoth lion moved closer once more. A part of him hoped that his victim would run away so that he could chase him, but he would have been happier still if he decided to stay and fight. Of course Greygor would win, but he would enjoy smearing the other lion all over the area first.

Misri
When Greygor took a step forward, Misri took two steps back. Just wanting to keep the distance between the two.

"I think youve made your point. Though the lions Im around quite often, dont mind such things. Must be one of the pleasantries of being in the Middle Class and not a noble, yes?" He asked, scowling but still making sure the male didnt get too close.

Greygor
Greygor did not think he had made his point, actually. At the moment he was not likely to feel that way until he either had the other lion fleeing in terror or bleeding beneath his paws. Either one would be acceptable, but it would have to be one or the other for Greygor to feel that a lesson had really been learned here this morning.

"You talk too much," Greygor observed.

Anyone else might have had the courtesy to give some sort of warning when they went from complaining about a person talking too much to lunging toward them, claws and fangs bared. But Greygor was who he was, and so he gave no warning. He simply stated his complaint, dropped into a crouch, and lunged.

Misri
When he saw the male start the beginnings of a leap, or in this case a lunge, he went wide eyed. s**t. He turned as quickly as his legs could carry him, and darted off in the direction opposite his home. For now he would hopefully escape with his life. He wouldnt lead the brute to his den.

All the while he ran, he cursed, and hissed at himself. What a predicament indeed.

Greygor
Greygor followed through on his lunge, his teeth coming together on air with an audible snap. There was no one there for them to latch onto, just as his claws found no one to dig into. It was frustrating, and he plowed forward another few charging steps before he was suddenly captured by a yawn.

"Ah, hells," he muttered. "He's not worth my time."

He shook his mane and roared, following the roar with a shout after Misri's retreating form, "You're not worth my time, coward!"

Maybe someone in the pride would hear him, maybe not. He didn't much care. Greygor was a lion who did as he pleased because, really, no one ever tried to stop him. He obeyed nobility if he liked them, but he didn't mind trying to intimidate them either, and would be only too happy to get some of their pretty daughters pinned beneath him for some non-consensual fun. He made a list of those lionesses in his head as he made his way to his den.

The pride would be waking soon, safe for another night because Greygor had been on guard.
