Busara was running as fast as she could into the night. The bright moon shone down on her moving figure form the depths of the sky where it sat watching her. She didn’t know where she was going, nor did she care. All that she wanted to do at the moment was get away from the lands that she called home.
She loved it there, she truly did, but she was going through a bout of suffocation there. The wind felt so amazing flowing across her body and she felt freer that she had in a while. Things were so different when they were covered by a mountain.
Busara ran until she reached a small pool surrounded by lush grass. Stopping for a moment to drink from the pond, she plopped down into the grass and stared up at the stars. Would she ever get used to life there? It seemed like every time she started to feel a home there, something within her started to scream at her new existence.

Tikta'Alik had settled down in a patch of soft grass by a small pond. He had no intentions of staying here all night but for now it was a fine place to relax. The cool night breeze ruffled his mane and should he need it a refreshing drink was only a few paces away. It was quiet, and most importantly he was alone.
The weary lion was midway though a deep, relaxing breath when he caught sight of the strange female running toward the pool.
Well, she wasn't coming for him, that much was clear. He hadn't had any contact with other lions for a while now and there was no reason any lion would be after him. A coincidence then.
He lowered his head in hopes that she wouldn't immediately spot him.

Staring up into the night sky, Busara wondered for the hundredth time if she should simply abandon her new life and return to the desert. No, it didn’t make any sense for her to do that, no matter how much she felt like it. Maybe she was just mentally psyching herself out about living in a pride.
She had to realize that every issue she seemed to be having in her new home could possibly be all in her head. There was more than enough food around so that she would never go hungry again. The den that they all slept in was safe and secure, so she never had to worry about being in danger in the night.
In actuality, her life had dramatically improved upon her moving there. Closing her eyes, she tried to think of any way to convince herself that living with the lionesses was good for her. Lost in thought, she didn’t hear the sound of another at first, but when her keen senses picked up another presence, she whipped her head up and looked around.
“Hello?” she call out, “is anyone there?”
