The ghost had drifted off mere seconds after the ghoul in his arms and throughout the whole of their nap didn't move so much as a muscle save for the occasion tightening of his arm around her waist. Clearly far more tired than he had originally thought, and downright exhausted for a ghost. In his defense though he hadn't been sleeping as much lately, finding it difficult without the familiar warmth of Junko in the bed, having gotten so terribly used to her always being there. When the alarm on his phone started beeping at them he didn't notice at first, but woke gradually before grunting in protest, curling tighter around the ghoul before finally reaching out to silence the annoying buzz. The process slightly hindered by a coil of dark hair around his wrist. Even in sleep..
Very gently he pulled his arm from beneath her pillow and unwrapped the length from around his wrist, dropping it on the bed beside them. Jaws stretching in a long yawn as he moved to sit up so he could lean against the wall at the head of the bed. Clawed fingers moving almost automatically to stroke along the top of Junko's hair, brushing bangs from her face and tucking stray whips behind the curve of her ear. "Wakey wakey sleepy head." His tone was soft despite words, a little reluctant to actually rouse her now that she seemed so peaceful. But she had mentioned not wishing to miss the rest of the day.
Bending over her, he lay a kiss on her cheek, then another, and another before giving the edge of her ear a little nibble, chuckling faintly. "Junko, time to wake up. Aren't you hungry?" The cool point of his nose nuzzled behind her ear. "I'll make you dinner."
Junko was exhausted, though not as much as she would have been had she not been spending the rest of the break with Tomoko's family. Despite her sleep her hair continued to move, crawling over both of their bodies. At one point it wrapped itself around Seiji in a way that pulled her closer before sliding up to wrap around his wrist; Junko had no idea her hair still moved while she was sleeping. As long as she stayed with Seiji she didn't care what it did though. She even slept through the alarm at first. She didn't notice him moving, she didn't notice him petting her hair. Junko might as well have been dead to the world.
Though she did stir at the sound of his voice, sighing deeply and reaching out with one hand to grab at something. Anything. What was that? It felt like his clawed hand. She was okay with this. Junko held it tightly, or as tightly as a half-asleep ghoul could manage, and purred with delight as he kissed at her cheek. "Mhmmmm.." She let go of his hand and rolled over onto her stomach, stretching her arms out with a strained groan..and relaxing again to go back to sleep. She mumbled something about wanting five more minutes, hugging her pillow and nuzzling her face into it.
She wasn't going to get that five minutes. Her hair would not allow it, pressing against Seiji and pushing hard. But instead of Seiji being the one to get shoved it was Junko that found herself rolling against her will, flailing and disappearing over the edge of the bed with a thud. "Owwwww.." Twice! Twice in one day!
Gentle attempts to rouse her didn't seem to be having much of an effect, and he gave a soft laugh as she released his hand to roll onto her stomach to resume napping. "Come on now," he urged, brushing fingertips in a tickling brush at the nape of her neck beneath the thick fall of endless hair. "You said yourself you didn't want to sleep the day away." It was as he was moving forward to pester her further that She lashed out, shoving against him so his back slammed back against the wall and he let out a startled grunt. Blinking in surprise as Junko disappeared off the foot of the bed. "Junko?!" What the Jack had just happened?
"J? Are you ok?" He crawled after her, staring over the edge of the bed down at the tangled bunch of long limbs and hair that was now his ghoulfriend. Concern winning over amusement, at least for the time being. He reached a hand down flipped a long bit of black hair from her face before hooking fingers under one arm and tugging so she could get her legs beneath her. "Was that because of me, or..?" He had to assume it was a result to the soft nibbles to her ear, having not really seen this particular wakeup call before.
Swinging his legs off the side of the bed and planting them firmly on the ground he got a better hold around her and lifted her clear off the floor and into his lap, cradling her against his chest. "If it was, I'm sorry." Similar things had happened, but usually it was him that got the more painful end of things.
"I'm okay.." Junko grumbled, one hand gripping the bed in her attempt to try saving herself from hitting the floor, the other supporting underneath herself. Obviously her attempts to save herself hadn't worked, but she'd tried. It didn't help that now she could see he was amused, pouting up at the ghost boil. She gladly accepted the help up, gripping his arm and pushing with her other hand to balance herself. "Huh? You? I don't know..." Junko blinked. She always liked the nibbles, but She had never reacted like that before. She giggled as she was picked up though, draping her arms over his shoulders and nuzzling her face against his neck. "It's okay. Not the first time she's done that to me, though. So whatever." She shrugged.
"I did it because she was trying to be lazy." Came Her answer, lips curled unhappily. That was one thing She wouldn't tolerate. Laziness. Junko pouted and sighed, rubbing one of his shoulders with her hand.
"So you said you're making dinner? I didn't know you can cook." She was impressed! And very curious.
"That's happened before?" He didn't like that, not one little bit. Arms curling protectively around her waist he bumped her temple with his chin as she pressed her face against his neck. Frowning at the idea of his poor ghoulfriend being shoved out of bed rather violently. "Have you ever considered sleeping with your hair braided?" He couldn't help but tense as he asked, ready for the angry tendrils of dark silk to wrap around his neck. When nothing of the sort happened he relaxed again, shoulders slumping. He did keep a wary eye on the back of her head though, just in case. "I mean, being shoved out of bed can't be too fun." The last bit was murmured against the side of her head before lay a fond kiss there.
He made a rather noncommittal grunt at her question towards his cooking, wiggling hum fingers in a so-so sort of gesture. "Not really. I can make some decent noodle dishes, but I'm fairly lost on anything beyond that. Save sushi, but I'm guessing it's pretty hard to screw up raw fish." He shrugged, leaning back enough for him to look down at her and actually see her face. Smiling warmly. "Mom and Dad will be gone all night, well, every night really. They leave at dusk and don't come back til a little after dawn." Human fingers trailed through her hair, brushing along her shoulder as he passed it and finally settled with his hand on her hip. "They've got a house they've been haunting for decades now. "
"Mhm." Junko answered casually, not finding it a big deal. It happened a lot, actually. Mostly on days she wanted to be lazy and stay in bed! But She would never let her do that, not ever. Not unless she wasn't feeling well. "It's not so bad in my own bed. At school my bed's really low to the floor, so I don't fall far..and then at home my bed is on the floor. Your bed's higher than I'm used to." She laughed, giving a little shrug. At his suggestion she nodded. Her hair didn't come at him to strangle him or anything but it did twist and writhe away from him like angry snakes for daring to even consider such a thing. Stop giving her ideas! Ugh! Stupid people! "I do sometimes, I was just way too tired to do it this time. I didn't expect She'd do that..it's not really all that fun though, you're right." Junko gave a soft laugh, quieting as he kissed the side of her head to instead make a happy sound. Kisses. She liked kisses.
Oh...so..he couldn't really cook? "I can cook." Junko offered up, tilting her head back to look up at him. Did it matter who cooked? She was fine with it! Though she didn't know her way around this kitchen. "Nah, you can screw up sushi. I've done i--o-oh?" Junko blinked, a faint blush dusting her cheeks. His parents didn't stick around at night? "H..how interesting! In the human world? Wow.." She tilted her head to rest it against his shoulder again, tracing circles into it with one finger. "Good." Junko smiled, blushing more and nuzzling her face against his shoulder. She'd missed him, and while she was never one to keep someone away from their loving parents...she wanted him to herself. To hold her, to talk to her, to love her. Junko didn't want to share him right now, not with anyone.
He chuckled as she spoke of her room at school. "I've been there, or don't you remember?" He'd even slept there a time or two, her bed was a bit lower than his, but still. Being shoved out of bed, no matter how high up, seemed like a rather rude awakening. The retracting hair made him blink, and he narrowed his eyes at its writhing lengths, as if She could even see the glare. Whatever. "We'll just have to make an effort to remember to braid it before bed then, at least while you sleep with me." He wasn't a fan of futons, they reminded him forcibly of when he used to sleep on a mattress in an abandoned factory. He liked his box springs.
"No.." He frowned, catching her hand in one of his and just holding it. "I said I'd cook and I meant it." It did matter. He knew what he wanted to make, he'd made sure all the ingredients were on the list he'd given his mother the day before. "Let me do this for you." He wanted to do it, had been planning it for a few days now, and he was determined to do it properly. He did give her an odd look when she seemed eager to have his parents gone, lips pursing curiously. "Why good?" A thought occurred to him, but he wrote it off as wishful thinking.
He was curious, but he was also eager to get dinner started, so while he waited for an answer he got to his feet with her still in his arms, lifting her effortlessly before setting her gently back on her feet. Tugging the hem of the tank top down around her thighs in mild amusement. If they were going to eat his little table was going to have to be cleared off.
Of course she remembered! She was just explaining why it wasn't a big deal! See? Perfect logic! But she nodded at his words and glanced down at her hair. Yes, they'd definitely need to do that. Even if Seiji had to braid it himself! If..he was able to braid hair...
...Could he braid hair? She wasn't sure if she wanted to find out. Junko chased the thought away by snuggling against him, tilting her head up to press her lips against his cool neck.
At the sudden rejection she blinked and looked up again. No? But..he said he couldn't really cook? But then he insisted on it, twice even. "Okay." She looked quite surprised and rather confused by how adamant he was on this. Did he have something specific planned? This was new; no one had ever been so determined to do something like this for her. Not that she could remember, anyway. "It's good because it means I get you to myself. And it's been awhile since..I just had a quiet night. I love Tomo-chan's siblings but they definitely were energetic!" She laughed, sighing. That was all she wanted. It really was. Quiet time..please?
As she was set down she herself tugged down on the stolen shirt, looking toward the table. "Oh..that's where we're eating, right? Umm...Oh!" Junko smiled. "You go cook dinner and I'll put my stuff away. How's that?" And then if she finished before him she could go watch him cook!
Seiji could braid hair, granted he was rather out of practice, but he did know how. He'd never had to braid hair quite so long as hers but length shouldn't make that much of a difference, could it? You'd have to keep the separate parts neat and in control, but it was the same cross over motion throughout the entire thing.
His smile slipped at the look on her face when he told her no, frowning softly as he smoothed his hands along her arms. "I just want to do something nice for you," he offered a little lamely, trailing off a bit at her reasoning for being happy at the absence of his parents. "A quiet night? We can do that." There would be lots of opportunities for peaceful evenings here, being that his parent's were never home at night.
He hadn't failed to hear the more important bit of her answer, and it made him smile like an idiot. Nodding at her offer to clear off the table while he started cooking. Reaching out finally to pull her in against him with dark fingers as he tipped her chin back, bending low so he could catch her lips in a soft kiss. If she wanted him all to herself, then who was he to argue? "I'm all yours, for as long as you'll have me." His thumb stroked along the line of her jaw and he gave her another kiss followed by a quick peck and a grin. "And that sounds like a lovely suggestion. "
Straightening up he let his hands slip away from her, walking towards his bedroom door. Not even bothering with grabbing a shirt as he stepped out into the hall and wandered off towards the kitchen.
His answer to her unspoken questions made her heart flutter, rubbing her lips together a moment before smiling up at him, her cheeks still flushed a soft pink. "Okay. You don't have to, I'm happy just being with you, but I appreciate it." She was glad he agreed to their quiet night though, elated even. Good! They could go out and do things later. She was here for two weeks! They could go on dates and stuff! Ohhhh! It'd been forever since they went on a date! She'd have to propose it to him later.
Junko squeaked as he pulled her against him, her hands against his chest and not even getting a chance to register what was happening before his lips were pressed against her own. She stood on her tiptoes and returned the kiss, a hand coming up to hold his cheek. Junko grinned at his words, nudging her nose against his. "Then you'll always be mine?" She whispered quietly, trying to lengthen that second kiss. A shame it was just a peck! She even reached out for his hands as he left her, watching the ghost leave her to head for the kitchen.
Right! She had to be quick about this then! She turned to the table with her bags on it and her kimono draped over one of the chairs. She'd have to take care of that first. The kimono was carefully folded and she located the empty drawers he had been telling her about, putting her own clothes into those drawers; Shehk's 'commissions' were left in their bags, and the bags were put beside the dresser out of the way. She paused a moment to look at herself in the mirror. Beautiful..? Her? Really? She stepped back enough to see more of herself, turning this way and that. He thought she was more beautiful than she had been before. But how? She couldn't see it. Was it the eyes? The hair? What had it been? Oh, right. Her hair. She sighed and set to braiding it, fighting against how it struggled as she began to head for the kitchen, humming loud enough to be heard approaching.
He was humming as he wandered down the hall, pausing only as he peeked into the living room to see if there was any sign of his parents. There was not, them having apparently already left with the setting of the sun, and he resumed his happy little tune as he walked the rest of the way to the kitchen. Wasting no time in gathering up the hardware required for the meal he was intending to make. It wasn't anything insanely complicated nor really special, but it was something he knew how to make, and it generally came out quite good. A relatively simple ramen dish, but packed with flavor.
Rooting through the cupboards he located a medium and small saucepan and set them both on the stove, then turned to the fridge for the home made vegetable broth, mushrooms, green onion, ginger root and eggs. Filling the smaller pan with water, he resigned it to a burner in the back before cranking up the heat, then turned his attention to the larger pan. Adding the broth as well as some handmade, though dried noodles. Turning the burner onto medium to coax it into a slow simmer.
While he waited for both pans to start boiling he got himself a cutting board and a large knife and began chopping the mushrooms, onions, and ginger root. Mincing the latter and putting it in a small dish to be added a little later. The onions two were set aside, but the mushrooms were added along with the noodles and broth.
It was about then he heard humming coming from down the hall and he glanced up and over his shoulder as the ghoul entered the room, dark eyes flicking down the exposed bit of thigh between tanktop and stockings before trailing down the length of her legs. He really liked those legs.. "You like vegetable ramen, right?" He even had chopsticks in one of the drawers. Left over from before he left for school.
Mmm! Something smelled good! Junko was wrapping a couple hair bands around the end of her thick, long, struggling braid as she approached the kitchen and sniffed the air. Vegetables and noodles? She didn't notice Seiji's eyes on her, still messing with her hair until she was beside him. Ha! Take that, Mistress! Junko looked up from her hair as he spoke, a warm smile on her face as she watched him cook. He was cooking for her. No one had ever cooked for her before...well, aside from her mother. She glanced toward Seiji a moment as she came up to stand beside him, just wanting to be near him. She'd missed him, missed the way he looked at her and the way he held her and just loved her. She also missed hearing him say she was beautiful.
No one ever said she was beautiful...
She blushed, looking away for a moment to try and hide it. That wall sure was interesting!
"Mhm! I like lots of things!" Junko chirped, looking up at him with a shy smile. She laid a kiss against his shoulder before peeking around him at what he was doing, nuzzling her cheek against his upper arm and looking down at the cutting board. He was doing this all for her? He was so sweet! "Is there anything I can do?" Could she help in some way? She hoped she could! She wanted to! Though something told her he was just going to tell her she could watch. But watching wasn't so bad, right? She..she liked watching. Junko blushed again and slipped a hand around his arm to grip it gently, rubbing his cool skin with her thumb. There was a muffled irritated groan from the back of her head that made her blush more but otherwise ignored; She was reacting to her thoughts and feelings, and She was not pleased by them. Quiet, Mistress! Quiet! Ugh! She peeked up at him through her bangs, an action she could no longer hide with her glowing green eyes. "..I love you, Seiji." Junko murmured softly, pressing another kiss against his upper arm.
The swing of her braid down around her ankles made him blink, looking back up to smile at her. "Oh good, I wasn't sure, but I figured you would, so I gambled on what to make." He poked at the noodles in the heating broth with a fork. "I didn't want to ask and ruin the surprise." He transferred the spoon to his other hand so he could snake his arm around her waist as she stepped up beside him. Laying a kiss on her temple as placed one on his shoulder. When she asked for help he almost just declined outright, but paused, lips pursing as he looked up at the eggs in its steaming water. "You can watch the eggs, so they don't get over done." He wasn't about to simply admit it, but hard boiled eggs were surprisingly tricky for the boil. Always over or under cooking them.
He set the fork down and handed her a slotted spoon, then uncurled his arm from around her so he could place the used cutting board and knife in the sink before moving the diced ginger root and onion to a different part of the counter. He then turned back to her and placed hands on her hips, lifting her up so he could set her on the counter top beside him. Palms trailing down to rest on her thighs as he leaned forward to bump his nose to hers. Inviting her in for a kiss should she feel the want for one. "I love you, too."
He ignored the groan, She did it quite often, and just assumed it was a reaction towards her usual lovey dovey train of thinking. It did make him grin though, eyes lidding as his head tipped back from her so he could see her face a little easier. "What are you thinking that's got Her all cranky?"
Junko chuckled. "I'll eat almost anything that She'll let me have." She replied very matter-of-factly, meaning absolutely nothing by it. It was true! The Mistress often stole any food she tried to eat, but Junko did get lucky sometimes. Now would be one of those times. It was a good thing Seiji didn't mention he had trouble cooking eggs, though. Junko would have made fun of him for trying to do a ghoul's job and failing at it..or something. She could try. She didn't have it in her to actually make fun of him. Aside from, you know, calling him dumb.
At least she said only sometimes?
Junko blinked, blushing even more as his hands went around her hips. Why was she blushing? There was no reason for her to be blushing just because he was holding here there! He did it all the time when picking her up like this! She was rubbing at her cheeks with one hand while holding the spoon in her other, glancing down at the hands on her thighs until his face blocked her view of anything but his face. His admission of love made her heart flutter again, and she leaned in those few inches to brush her lips against his before catching them in a soft kiss.
Of course he would ask. Why wouldn't he. Ugh. Junko blinked. "I...n-nothing. Just..how much I love you~?" It wasn't technically a lie, she just wasn't...being specific. "You know She hates when I'm happy." She reminded him, leaning in to hopefully distract him from asking again with another soft kiss.
The flush of her cheeks sobered his grin a bit, but it didn't disappear completely, and when she closed that last inch for a kiss he returned it happily. Glowing eyes falling shut as his fingertips pressed into the skin of her thighs ever so gently. Hands gliding down the tops of her dark stockings and lingering there, thumbs toying absently at the elastic that held them in place. They parted, and she answered his question, but he wasn't entirely sure he believed her. Still, the second kiss did wonders to distract him, and he brushed the lower bud with coolness of his tongue, parting her lips to deepen it. Pushing her thighs so he could step between her knees.
Much as he would have loved to have simply carried on in this manner he had a dinner to cook, and he gave her lips a last soft nibble before drawing away, warmth in his eyes as he smiled at her before removing one hand so he could take up his fork and stir the noodles that were now softening in the boiling broth. Finally he'd add the ginger root, stirring it all together and reducing the heat so it was gently simmering.
A glance to the smaller pan showed that was also boiling, and he flicked his gaze from it to Junko, brows twitching upward. "How long on the eggs do you think, babe?" Even as he asked it the question seemed redundant. If she'd been half so distracted as him the last few minutes then all concept of time would have been lost.
The touches made her squeak and squirm on the counter, her hands sliding down to rest on his and keep them from going anywhere else but the edges of her stockings. He couldn't pass that point. She squeaked again as he nudged between her legs and deepened the kiss, trying not to break away too abruptly. W-wait! Nonono. Not right now! She had to stop, she had to be the voice of reason this time. "S-Seij--" She was cut off by the nibble on her lips and his own willing draw away, swallowing hard and rubbing her lips together. He was so hot. It wasn't fair. Junko forced herself to look away from him to check on the eggs, carefully turning them around with the spoon to check the color of the outside of the egg. Hmmm! "Just a little bit longer. Maybe like a minute or two.." How long had she been in here? How long had the eggs been boiling? She hadn't been keeping track. Oh Jack she was a terrible helper! Worst ghoulfriend ever!
..Okay maybe that was a little dramatic. Junko checked the other egg with a little hum, turning a bit on the counter to get into a more comfortable position for leaning over the stove. As always her hair flopped in a direction that was away from the hot stove. "They're almost done, yes." She chirped, glancing at the pan Seiji was working with. Her stomach actually growled. "This smells really good. How much longer until it's finished?" Junko asked as she glanced Seiji's way.
It seemed neither of them was all that willing to simply forget the food cooking beside him, so when she too drew away he was actually ok with it for a change. Not that she wasn't allowed to, goodness no, but more that she usually didn't. Had they not been cooking and she'd pulled away from a kiss he might have been hurt. He glanced down at the egg as she commented on the time remaining, then down to the soup itself. "It's pretty much done cooking; we'll keep it on very low heat though so it'll stay warm while we wait for the eggs." He gave the noddles another prod, separating them and stirring them up so there would be no uncooked bits, then turned the burner down as low as it would go.
Humming softly, he leaned over the stove to peek at the eggs, watching them for a moment as they rolled around in the boiling water. Counting silently in his head as he moved to rest his cheek on the ghoul's shoulder. After he'd gotten to about a hundred he turned the burner off and grabbed the handle of the pan, stepping away from Junko so he could empty the water in the sink and place the eggs in a bowl with some cooler water. "Once they cool enough to touch we can peel them, add them to the soup, then dinner."
He set the bowl on the counter near the green onions, then slid back between his ghoulfriend's knees, bending so he could rest his elbows on the counter to either side of her hips as he rested hands on the small of her back. Head tipped back so he could smile slyly up at her. "We've got a few minutes to spare while we wait.." He'd let her decide how they filled it, but one look down into those dark eyes would be enough to tell what his suggestion might be.
"Good, good." Junko was okay with letting go of what they had been doing moments ago, needing to distract herself from it. She wouldn't have wanted it to end so much if they hadn't been cooking, if there hadn't been the risk of completely ruining their dinner. She was hungry! He'd have been foolish to think she would actually pull away without a damn good reason. Focus on the eggs, focus on the eggs! Her eyes darted toward Seiji for a moment, forgetting the new glow would give her away. The lights and colors and shades around her bangs shifted and changed as her eyes moved, making it near impossible for her to continue with her furtive glances anymore. This time her eyes were on his chest before quickly darting back to the eggs. The blush on her cheeks grew darker when she felt his cheek against her shoulder. Close. So close. He was almost too close. She swallowed hard, giving a soft almost nervous giggle until he walked away to dump out the water. Yes, that was good. He was supposed to that. Yes. Totally. How much longer until the food was ready? She wanted to eat, please. Eat and then just...snuggle..a lot. Snuggle for the rest of the night. Yes. That.
Seiji was making it difficult. Junko blushed again as he came close once more, putting her hands on his shoulders as he smiled up at her. She knew exactly what he meant by filling the time by now..but no. She couldn't. They couldn't. "U-um..oh? Do we?" She looked anywhere but his face, her hands rubbing at his shoulders. "W..we shouldn't...I really want to eat, Seiji. Pleeeeease." Junko knew. She knew that if she let them do what he wanted to do there would be no time for food. She was learning! She leaned in to brush her lips against his cheek, nudging him affectionately with her nose. "Would it be too boring to ask if you'll just hold me?"
Lucky for Junko the boil had missed the lingering glances while he'd been messing about with the eggs. Then again, he gave her the same sort of appreciative glances all the time and he didn't often care if she noticed. Was it not just another way to show a person you thought they were attracted? Loved? Desired? Seemed a compliment to him, but he was a boil, and their brains simply did not function the same way as ghouls' did.
The sudden flush of pink along her cheeks as he got close again made him blink, head tilting every so slightly to one side as he looked up at her before a frown tugged at the corner of his lips as she looked away from him. Something was wrong.. Had been wrong since she came into the kitchen, but he didn't know what, and it was starting to worry him. "We'll eat," he interjected softly, tone a little hurt even as she rubbed at his shoulders. It was his turn now to look away, down at the counter as he thought back to everything that had happened since they'd woken up from their nap. She'd kissed him there, eagerly in fact, but since joining him out here she'd been reluctant, and now she even seemed determined to avoid it.
He offered a noncommittal sort of grunt to her at as she protested, straightening up and stepping closer, but only so he could curl his arms around her torso, fingers trailing lightly along her back. If that was all she wanted.. He didn't understand why, but he'd do it. Worry was hardening handsome features though, brows creasing gently as he stared down at the simmering soup. Did she think he couldn't control himself? That he was so ruled by his hormones that a little making out would snow ball into more? Did he really come off like that?
The tone in his voice had her flinching internally, and now it was her turn to frown. "You're breaking the rule again." She said quietly, trying to keep her voice light and warm. She didn't want to upset him, she hated when she did it but she seemed to do it so often. Nothing was wrong! Really! Well, sort of. The only thing that was wrong was her. She was just so...unsure. She wanted to be with him, she wanted to be here in his arms, but..not here. She wanted...more...
The grunt had her pouting, and her hair stopped struggling to just hang limp. She felt bad. She felt guilty but she hadn't actually done anything wrong! This hug wasn't as warm as the rest of them, it felt almost as cold as his skin. No! That was bad! Junko nuzzled her face into his neck, pressing soft kisses against it and nudging him closer with the back of her calves. "I'm sorry." She murmured against his neck, nails leaving feather light trails down his back. Man, she apologized a lot. "I just...I don't want to risk getting carried away because I..I'm really bad at stopping." Junko admitted in an embarrassed mumble, brushing her lips along his shoulder as if to prove her point. "I don't have as much practice at self control as you do. I'm sorry." Her forehead now rested against his shoulder and she just hugged him, a hand coming up to massage the back of his neck. Cheer up, please cheer up.
He shrugged as she pointed out he was breaking the rule again, and somehow he didn't really feel up to caring. He felt down, dismissed, and shouldn't he be allowed to express those feelings? He still didn't know why though, and it was troubling him. He didn't resist as she moved to nuzzle her face against his neck, head tilting automatically to allow it. Stepping forward as she nudged him with her feet, so the lines of their bodies touched. He sighed, but he tightened her grip around her, tension seeping out of his shoulders as she apologized, soft lips brushing along the column of his throat. The brush of nails making him close his eyes as goosebumps trailed along the skin of his arms and shoulders.
What fallowed surprised him, and he turned his head enough to see her out of his peripheral vision as she kissed along his shoulder before resting her brow there. "You don't want to risk getting carried away?" Wasn't that his line? He was still frowning, but it was more thoughtful then hurt now. One hand lifted from where it had been resting on her back to smooth along her hair before finally stilling at the top of her head, holding her against him. "You could have just said so.." He rubbed his cheek against her hair. "I do understand, you know." Intimately so.
Uncomfortable as their little misunderstanding had been though it had provided enough time for the eggs to cool. He turned and lay a kiss on her head before reaching down and pulling both from the water, stepping back and offering one to her as she crossed the kitchen to get the bin, nudging it between them on the floor. "Last step," he added with a smile, tapping his egg against hers with enough force to crack the shell so he could start peeling. A surprisingly challenging task when one of your hands was a claw.
"Well, yeah.." Junko was embarrassed, so very, very embarrassed. As his hand came up to rest on her head she bit down nervously on her lip, eyes opening to look back toward Her. Don't bite him don't bite him don't bite him don't bite him! His hand was very closer to Her, and that worried Junko. Why did she have to have such an aggressive mouth in the back of her head? But he was holding her, that was what she wanted. And now it wasn't a sad, cold hug like before. It seemed her little vague explanation had been enough to change the mood just a little bit. It was enough to make it a little less uncomfortable. "I-I'm sorry. I was embarrassed. I've never wanted--" She was cut off by the kiss against her head and him walking away, watching him step over to get the eggs with lidded eyes. Food, food. Had to focus on food. She was hungry. She wanted to eat, but...but she wanted Seiji.
Junko took the offered egg and smiled, albeit shyly, carefully hitting the egg against the counter. The shell cracked and she rolled it around in a little spot on the counter, adding a bit of pressure. The shell popped and crackled, separating from the white of the egg. It was a trick she had learned from her mother, one that only required one hand. She was actually surprised Seiji wasn't trying that! Once enough of the shell was broken she picked up the egg again, rubbing and peeling away the broken shell pieces with her thumb. She had practice at this. She would let this distract her, quite happily in fact! Her stomach growled again and reminded her just how hungry she was. She hadn't eaten since earlier that morning before leaving Tomoko's home, and then clearly she'd worked it all off.
"So...after we eat what should we do? Oh! We could try watching Labyrinth again. I still haven't seen all of that mov--oh, do you have it on you?" She was trying to be chattery to keep things cheerful again, watching Seiji peel the egg. "It must be hard to do that with claws, huh? Do you want me to do that for you?"
He answered her apology with a smile that turned into a rather smug grin as she continued. She'd never wanted what? Oh, he had ideas. Fairly reasonable ideas based on her behavior. "It's ok," he reassured her, picking at the top of the shell with clawed fingertips. Glancing up covertly every now and then to watch her as she worked on her own egg. She wasn't doing it the same though, and he paused in his picking to watch as she rolled the egg on the counter to bust the shell all the way around it. Clearly she knew something he didn't. As she started pushing the shell away with her thumb he looked down at his egg and the slow progress he'd made on it before back to her hands.
He rolled it in his palm a moment as she asked about the movie, shaking his head. "I didn't bring it, I didn't think to bring any of my movies." He didn't think he had any here anymore either. He handed over the egg when help was offered, failing miserably at. He did pay attention to how she was removing the shells, eager to learn anything that made this particular task easier in the future. As she started thumbing away the shell on the second egg he looked up, focusing on her face. Doubting her desire to watch anything. He let it go though, at least for now. Kindly letting her distract herself from other things.
"I'm sure we'll find something to do, we do have tv, and there are games." He could offer up all the remedial activities he wanted but he seriously doubted they'd be doing anything of the sort, at least not for long. While he spoke he moved around the kitchen, getting a pair of bowls and two sets of chop sticks. Turning the burner off on the stove before dividing the contents up and adding the green onions to the top. Nudging a few of the mushrooms into a more appealing array. The first egg was neatly chopped into thick slices and fanned along the edge of one bowl, and when the other had been shelled he did the same to it. "There, dinner is served." With a proud little grin he helped her off the counter, then gave her a little nudge towards the hall, picking up the bowls and sticks and following. "Let's go eat."
Awww! He didn't bring it? Disappointment. Junko actually pouted, though her disappointment was more cute and comical than depressing. She even pouted her lips in a dramatic show of just how upset she was about this. Totally heartbroken. Yup. Junko whined a little and turned sad eyes toward Seiji. She wanted to see the movie! Maybe next time. She'd have to convince him to watch it with her when they returned to Amityville, clearly. Though she had a feeling that it wouldn't take much convincing to do that. He loved that movie.
She took the offered egg and gently wiped the loose shell off it, putting the egg down on the counter to roll off what was left of it. Yes, she knew how to prepare food. "Silly boil, trying to do a ghoul's job." She leaned over, bringing him closer with a hand against the back of his neck to press a soft kiss against his lips. "This was very thoughtful of you. Thank you, Seiji." Junko murmured, catching his lips for a second and then a third..and almost a fourth kiss. The fourth kiss ended up being a simple brush of her lips against his as she forced herself not to get too crazy with this. He could focus on her face all he wanted, she was going to do the same thing anyway..though her focus seemed to be more up close and personal. But really, would he complain? Seriously now. "Games?" Junko paused. "Like...video games?" She'd never played a video game before! Her friends did, but she hadn't had the chance to do it yet herself! Aw, man. Now she was almost torn between what she wanted to do! Almost...they'd see how things turned out. Junko leaned back again to sit with her hands gently gripping the edge of the counter, swinging her legs while she watched him. It was so nice that he was doing this for her. He was being so thoughtful, so kind...so patient. He was amazing. The best boilfriend she could ever ask for. How had she gotten so lucky? Sure, she almost wished he was slightly less patient right now but she knew she'd regret it if she just...gave in right now. Not yet. Not here. Her hands were held out for the bowl as it was offered to her and she made a happy noise, carefully balancing the bowl in one hand while accepting his help off the counter. "This looks so good!" Junko grinned, playfully resisting the nudges out of the room by leaning back against him and making him support all her weight. This only last until she was actually out of the kitchen, walking on her own once they were in the hall and heading toward his room. "Are you going to cook for me every night~? Or can I cook for you tomorrow night?" There was also lunch and breakfast but for now she only cared about who prepared dinner. The most important meal.

He snorted at her comment, but the kisses were nice, and once against he was aware of what she had said a moment ago and what it implied. He did nothing to compound the issue though, and simply returned the kisses one by one until she drew away. "You're very welcome, I wanted to make you feel at home and welcome, and just do something nice."
He chuckled as she leaned back against him, bending his neck so he could kiss her forehead as they moved towards the hall."No, board games, Mom and Dad have a bunch of them," he corrected with a laugh, walking carefully as he supported her weight until she straightened and walked on her own. "My gaming system is still at school, I didn't figure I'd have a whole lot of time to play anything while you were here so I didn't bother." Maybe he should have reconsidered that decision, but she'd never show interest in the games before. Maybe when they got back to school he'd see if she wanted to play sometime. Could be another activity they could do together.
He slipped around her side so he could open the door for them both, that proud grin returning to his lips as he followed her inside. "Thank you, I was hoping it'd be something you like." And if she wanted to cook for him tomorrow she was welcome to it. Cooking was not his thing, he could do it, sort of, but he wasn't great at it. "Sure, that'd be nice. Maybe we could take turns." Though if he was really honest with himself he'd continue to let her cook most nights for the sole reason that he would run out recipes rather quickly.
Inside his room he walked over to the table and set his bowl down, pulling the chair for her so she could sit down then moved around to the other chair and sat himself. Pressing his palms together and ducking his head a fraction. "Itadakimasu."
"Well you're doing a very good job of it." Junko smiled, giggling at the kiss he pressed to her forehead. Oh. Board games. Okay then! Maybe they could try those, but it didn't sound terribly exciting compared to things they could do. Seiji didn't seem like the type to be a huge fan of just sitting and playing a board game, he would want to do more active and interesting things wouldn't he? Like going out somewhere! Or watching a movie. Or eating dinner. But it was okay, she wasn't terribly broken up about not being able to play something she'd never tried before. There was always next time. "Okay, that's fine." Junko was honest about it too, her smile didn't even so much as twitch. It wasn't the end of Halloween if Junko couldn't do something.
She stepped into his room again as he opened the door, walking to the table and chairs set up for them with a cheerful little hum. Food, food. Delicious food. It certainly looked good! Seiji wouldn't serve her bad food, right? He wasn't some jerk gnome. He was her loving boilfriend! But she had a feeling he would let her do whatever she wanted when it came to preparing food. She enjoyed it, she wanted to do it, so there was no reason she shouldn't be allowed to, right? She felt as natural in the kitchen as she did just out for a walk.
She was actually somewhat surprised by the chair pulling, having not expected it. It wasn't that she didn't think of him as a gentleman she just had never had that done for her before. She smiled, placing the bowl on the table before accepting the offered seat. Junko mimicked him, though her own voice was much more silly. "Itadakimaaaasuuuu~!" She chirped, purposely being as adorable as she could be. She then picked up the chopsticks and held them properly, fishing into the bowl to give the noodles a try first, slurping them up as neatly as she could. It was hard with ramen, man. Don't judge her. But..it was really good! Her eyes widened as she licked her lips. "Wow! This is really good, Seiji! Thank you so much!"
He chuckled at her as she bowed over her food, poking at his own ramen to submerge his egg and mix everything together evenly. Drawing a bit of noodle to his lips as he lifted his bowl close to his chin so he wouldn't splatter all over as he slurped. It was good, better then it usually came out, and he was glad for it. He sipped the broth then set the bowl back on the table, catching a slice of egg between the points of his chopsticks. "It came out really good, didn't it?" He grinned happily, watching as she licked broth from her lips. "And you're welcome, of course. I'm glad you like it." It would have sucked if she hadn't.. Oh geez. Luck was apparently on his side tonight.
Considering how hungry the both of them were he let the easy silence stretch between them for as long as she'd allow. Happily working on his own bowl of ramen. Appreciative little noises bubbling up from the boil every now and again as he tried the egg and the mushrooms in turn. They'd turned out perfect. Not underdone, not over done, perfect. Impressive really, considering the distraction her lovely figure posed to him, specifically when those lovely legs were still accentuated by dark stockings. She looked absolutely alluring in the stolen shirt, and now as they ate he was having a hard time not staring.
He distracted himself by focusing on his food. Keeping eyes on the ramen and the tasty bits within the bowl rather than the tastier bit sitting across from him. Unsurprisingly he finished his meal rather quickly, and once the broth was drained he lay his chopsticks across the top of the bowl. Fingers knitting above it as he leaned forward onto his elbows.
It was hard to be dainty with noodles, but Junko was achieving it. She picked up the bowl to make it easier, though she did set it down again so she could just eat the egg. Mm! Good! She hadn't messed it up by being...distracted. Her eyes flickered toward Seiji as she thought about that. Oh yes, so delightfully distracted. She swallowed hard and forced herself to look back down at her food, her cheeks flushed a faint pink. Don't stare at him, it will only lead to an early completion of dinner and then disaster! Okay so maybe not disaster..but...! But she felt his eyes on her and she couldn't help but peek up at him. He kept staring at her. They didn't eat together like this often, but she noticed that this time and now last time he kept looking at her. Kept staring at her. She blushed, feeling both a little self-conscious and a bit happy. He was looking at her because she was beautiful, right? Because he loved her? Right? But all she was wearing was his shirt, stockings, her hair was just braided..she hadn't put any effort into how she looked and yet he couldn't stop staring?
"You're doing it again." Junko commented quietly, though she didn't sound upset or offended. She was just making an observation. "You did it last time, too. When we went to dinner before prom..." She stirred her food around a bit, tilting her head to one side and raising a brow. "Am I too distracting?"
With his meal finished there wasn't much left to distract him, and he finally gave up trying as Junko called him out on admiring glances. Busted. He gave a nervous laugh, rubbing at his neck as he sat up, stretching against the back of the chair. "Sorry," he offered, though not like he meant it. "A little distracting, yes." A lot of distracting if we were being honest. "But I can't help it." She didn't realize just how attractive she was, and be at dressed to the nines or in nothing but an over sized shirt with her hair braided, she was at her most beautiful when she didn't realize it.
Pushing his bowl aside he folded his arms on the table and lowered his chin to rest on top of them. looking up at her with what had to be a very dopey smile on his face. "You're here, at my house. Wearing my clothing. Eating my cooking. Who could ask for more?" Well he could ask for more, but he'd done such an admirable job thus far in showing restraint, and he wasn't about to ruin the streak now. No matter how sexy her legs looked in nothing but those stockings. No matter she was wearing barely more than a shirt, and that that shirt barely reached her thighs. Never mind the fact they had the entire house to themselves until dawn, not just tonight, but every night for two weeks.
None of these things crossed his mind as he gazed longingly up at her as she finished her meal. Nope, not a single one.
Junko blinked, blushing even more as he apologized for it. She didn't mind, she wasn't about to stop him from looking at her. Hell, she had a hard time not staring at him herself! She smiled shyly and picked up her bowl, almost trying to hide behind it while she ate what was left of her ramen. Now she was really trying to look good for him, feeling she needed to kind of step up on how well she looked to him. But then he continued on to further elaborate on how happy he was and she paused, setting the bowl down. That's all it took? All he needed? Junko smiled, her heart fluttering wildly. Jack, he really loved her. He really, really loved her. She wasn't hungry anymore. She just wanted him to hold her tightly and never let go. "O-oh, I..." Junko suddenly found she couldn't stop smiling, placing her chopsticks across her bowl. She definitely wasn't hungry anymore; her stomach was too filled with fluttering batlings. "Next time we have a break I'll stay with you." She had already apologized for not going to him first, though she had absolutely no regrets with staying with Tomoko, but she was just going to promise him now. Junko reached out, sliding her hands across the table until they were on his shoulders, gripping them and giving him a loving massage with her fingers. "I meant what I said earlier, you know. When you said I'd have you as long as I want you...I know we're just teenagers but.." She giggled. "I love you." Junko sighed, resting her head on the table and just looking at him. He gave her more reason to fight against Her, him and Tomoko and Yaya and Riley and all of her friends. He was the most tolerant of Her considering the things She did around him..
"Oh!" Junko suddenly perked up, sitting up and then standing. "I...I have something I want to give you!" She was grinning as she hurried away to where she left her bags, getting down on her knees to dig through the pockets. When she found it she made a happy little noise and hurried back to him, guiding him to sit up again if he hadn't so she could sit on his lap. The first thing she did was give him a kiss, a soft and sweet little kiss. She then took his hand, the gray one, and put something in it. It was small and round and she closed his hand around it. Junko's face was flushed pink, her eyes glowing with excitement and a big, silly smile on her face. "I love you so much. Just you, no one's ever made me feel as beautiful as you. Or as wanted. You make me feel so special, Seiji." When he opened his hand he'd find her student pin, with its silly little second mouth representation. The symbol of her trust.
If he could have figured out a way to get to his dresser without her having to move he'd have done it. He didn't want her leaving his lap anymore than she wanted to leave it, but he let her go so she could get to her feet, claws lingering on her side a moment before he got to his feet and crossed the room to his dresser. Picking a bag up that had been tucked between it and the wall and opening a pocket so he could dig around within it. Pausing once to look inside impatiently before cramming his hand back within its depths. Finally locating what he was after he stuffed the bag back where it'd come from before turning back to his ghoul friend. "I was going to give this to you the night before you left, but you got called away before I could, so I just brought it with me."
Her pin he placed on the dresser beside a bottle of cologne before turning back to her. He held his blackened palm out to her, a small grey circle resting in the middle. Black and Red circles marking the center. He wasn't giving it to her because she'd given him hers, but because he'd been meaning to for a while now and just hadn't found the right moment. Now seemed the perfect time. "It's been you, since day one," He looked down at the pin, an unusual wave of shyness hitting him. "Before day one really." He made himself look back up. "You make my life better."
Junko watched as Seiji walked off to his dresser, standing there and waiting for him and admittedly feeling a tad awkward. She was just..standing and waiting. Yup. She leaned this way and that, trying to peek around him without actually walking up behind the boil and see what he was doing. Why couldn't she see from here? It was almost a shame he didn't so easily fade in and out in tangibility like his parents did, because if he could then Junko would totally be able to see what he was doing. But then he mentioned it was something he was going to give her anyway and she blinked, stepping closer. "Oh? What is it?" Junko was definitely curious now! What did he have? She had to know! Please, please! Pretty please! She was bouncing on her tiptoes as he returned to her, clapping her hands together until she saw what was in the palm of his hand.
Her eyes widened and she gasped; her bouncing stopped, her clapping stopped, and her jaw dropped. H..he was giving her a pin?! Not just a pin, but his pin! Someone trusted her enough to give her their emblem, someone aside from Savage as a reward for passing her exam. Seiji trusted her. There wasn't a big enough smile for how happy she was, how her heart was racing so wildly she was just waiting for it to burst out of her chest. She sniffled a little as she took the pin, holding it tightly in her palm. "S-Seiji I.." She couldn't think of the words, she was speechless. He had blown her away, having had no idea he trusted and loved her this much.
He was amazing.
"You make mine better too!" Junko threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, nuzzling her face against his throat and refusing to let him go. She couldn't see herself without him, not anymore. She loved him too much, she needed him too much.
The ghost had had no idea just how much having his emblem meant to the futakuchi-onna, and when she gaped at him, sniffling and taking the pin, he looked positively stunned. More so as she flung herself at him, and he gave a startled 'oof' as she threw her arms around him, clinging to him happily. It took him a second for his mind to catch up with what had just happened but he chuckled softly at her as she nuzzled against him, broad arms curling around her and lifting her off her feet. Cheek rubbing along the side of her brow as he hugged her to him, murmuring soft words of affection in Japanese near the delicate curve of her ear. He didn't want to let her go, not now, not ever. She would be his, always. Tightening his hold with one hand he slid the other down to cradle her rear, readjusting his hold on her so his hands were clasped beneath her and she was sitting on his wrists. Long legs draping to either side of his hips.
With a nudge from his chin he coaxed her head up from his collarbone, forehead coming to rest against her own as he fell into glowing pools of emerald. So beautiful. It actually pained him to know she didn't see herself as he saw her.
