Eden Eden had uncharacteristically taken a day off from her work, she had not decided where to set up a home for herself and Orion, so she had returned to where they had made their pledge.. of sorts to think. But still unsure she wandered back towards her home, it was a fair walk from the hilltop with the flowers. Her thoughts having been occupied bt Orion more than a little since then. She had to talk to him, and they would make a choice. Her stomach twisting, what were their options, Orion would likely not want to be near others so remaining with the bulk of the herd would probably be unlikely. Ponderign as she walks along a well worn path, not in any hurry to get back. Orion Orion found himself wandering towards Eden once more, he had wanted to do something for her. He knew from walking through Edens herdland a few times now that she had pretty much anything she could ever hope for.... yet the need to provide for her, his mate, wouldn't leave him. He had spoken to his sister and mother, something he had cringed doing, and they had given him something to give to her. It was now hanging from his mouth, it was an acorn that had been carved out into the shape of two hearts and within each heart was the image of a bird. The little thing was something Lior had found, most likely made by a two legger and left behind as the tribe moved to a new location... either way, Orion quite liked it. It was natural.... just like Eden. Crown Crown stamped his hoof in the ground before looking at the mark he left behind. Always the same, yet always different. Since he was a foal his hooves had grown so much but always remained in the same shape. So much had changed since he was a foal, he was getting closer and closer to being granted the right to be classed as a protector. An honor that he longed for, that he had trained for.... so close yet so far.

Eden Eden sighed as she walked, she definately couldn't decide this alone, all she was doing was chasing herself round and round, in and out of ideas as fast as she could come up with them. Giving a faint huff she started off in a slightly different direction, knowing there was an apple tree there, maybe food could help her think. Orion Orion looked down the path, almost positive that he could see... yes... Eden! He started after her, thinking only moments later that this was her familys herd lands, and it was possible that what he had seen was actually one of her relations, still it was too late to stop now, and as his hooves stomped into the dirt he tried to call her name out even with the gift in his mouth. It sounded distorted, "E-d-en...." Crown "Crown started walking towards the forest again, he didn't usually spend much time in the trees, prefering the company of others and the large open fields where he could spread his wings, he supposed it was due to what he had seen as a foal.... Maion being kidnapped. At least in the open he had a way to escape, should his wings still work. Still, he wandered, remembering the game he had once played with his siblings as they hunted for apples, a task they all found much easier now. It was he walked that he heard something, his ears twitched, it sounded like a stranged noise... in the opposite direction to where he was, and every impulse in his body took over as he ran towards. If someone was in trouble he would help! It was his job after all... or would be soon at least.

Eden Eden paused, distracted from her thoughts by what had sounded like her name... maybe.. Looking round before turning, a smile lighting her face when she saw Orion. Almost laughing, blindfolded and now gagged from whatever it was in his mouth. Wandering over to him she smiled brightly at him. "I was just thinking about you, and here you are." Giving his neck a gentle nuzzle in greeting, she had missed him and while most wouldn't realise it she had been distracted lately. Orion Orion couldn't help but smile as she approached him with such warmth in her eyes, it was a reaction he had only ever dreamt of in the secret of darkness night... yet here it was, a reality for him to enjoy. He could shout to the heavens in joy. As his smile curved up fully he accidently released his gift, it fell from his lips and landed with the softest of 'thuds'. "Oh no...." He mumbled, looking to the ground before lowering his head and searching with his nose. It wasn't long before it was covered in mud... and spraying around him as well. "...where is it....?" He mumbled trying to found the brown treat among all the brown dirt, maybe he should have got her something brighter after all? Crown Crown's fast pace ate at the ground, and soon he found himself coming towards what appeared to be his sister and a stranger.... his every instinct prickled, in all the time he had spent with Eden he had never seen her willingly get so close to someone other than her direct family.... which made him automatically assume something was wrong. His eyes spent little time on her, missing the smile on her face, as he looked at the 'threat'. Whatever it was it had spiked claws.... KALONA! He had never met one since his foalhood, but he was almost sure that Kalona's had claws... and so this must be a kalona!
Protective instinct took over as he charged and headbutted the creature up the rump... anything to get it away from his sister.

Eden Eden looked dumfounded and rounded on the one that attacked Orion only to glare at her brother after the shock was wiped off of her face. She had never looked at him like that before but her favourite brother had attacked HER MATE! She was so surprisingly angry she could have slapped him. "What in the name of the moon and all that is sacred do you think you are doing Crown?!" Her expressin one of worry as she moves over to Orion again, his already muddy nose now matching the rest of his face, grabbing the end of her mane and starting to wipe the mud away, worry and caring in her eyes. Orion Orion found himself skidding across the ground slightly, but luckily with his head down he was far more balanced and didn't end up on the ground. That would have been embarassing in front of Eden, not that his mind was thinking that at the time.... no it was far to preoccupied fighting between the will to flee and the will to fight.... and it was only for Eden's sake that the fight option had appeared. Stunned his eyes looked towards the one who had attacked him, his rump still throbbing from the impact, and just as he was about to say or do something he heard Eden calling out.... Crown? He couldn't recall the name, but that didn't mean much with his memory at times, he looked at the other stallion stepping forward slightly so he was more in the beasts path than Eden should things turn ugly. He may be weak and scared... but that didn't mean he couldn't try.
He was thankful that she wiped his face for him, though hated the fact that her hair was no dirty. The action shifted his blindfold slightly revealing his left eye. Crown Crown looked at his sister with confusion, "What?" He asked, tilting his head to look at what he had assumed was a threat... yet given the way his sister seemed to be tending him it appeared he was wrong. "I....I.... thought he was attacking you or something." He reluctantly admited, feeling the same compulsion that he had as a foal around Eden. She was the eldest of the three of them, and he the youngest... making it almost impossible for him to ignore her, and part of him still hated it when she was mad or annoyed at him... but this look.... it was.... different somehow, more potent and deadly and made Crown cower like nothing else could.

Eden When she had Orion cleaned up as best asshe could she dropped her mane and looked at the one eye that had been revealed, tugging the blindfold back into place gently before speaking, a little calmer now. "Orion would no more hurt me than you would, he would probably see his ears fall off before having such a notion." Her voice gentle and tender. Looking over at Crown again actually blushing slightly. "He has never hurt anything or anyone." Orion Orion couldn't help but smile at her with affection and gratitude as she simply pulled his blindfold back in place, around her he would have happily kept it down, but around others... it was a safety net. Her words though brought something to mind, and as he turned to look at the would-be-attacker he couldn't help but see some features that were... similar. Herdmates? Or maybe more... family?
Orion wanted to ask.... but didn't want to sound stupid as the pair interacted. Crown Crown frowned slightly as he watched his sister, the way she seemed to tend to him... and the way he looked at her... it just wasn't natural! After all, this was his sister!! Even if she was older than him. "Of course I wouldn't hurt you... but... who exactly is he?" He asked, indicating the dark stallion with a shake of his head. Eventhough he tried to sound angry he couldn't, the fact was that he wasn't naturally an angry creature, and eventhough he still saw this stallion as a threat -only now in a different manner- he couldn't muster anger, his sister seemed... happy.

Eden Eden actually went bright pink at his question. "He's my mate..." Voice soft, not really having any reason to beat around the bush, besides it wasn't in her nature to be evasive without a very good reason. Looking down at the ground for a moment, remembering Orion had had soemthing, he had dropped it, they would look soon, she would make sure of it. Orion Orion couldn't help but look at her in amazement... he didn't realise it until that moment, but he hadn't expected her to accept him so easily around others, but she didn't even hesitate as she came out with the truth between them. He beamed at her, and for a moment completely forgot that someone called 'Crown' was even standing by, he moved towards her and nuzzled her neck softly whispering, "I love you Eden." So that only she could hear him, it helped being so close to her. And in that moment nothing else mattered... not the sting to his rump or the treasure he had dropped. Crown Crown looked at her stunned, and was sure he was blinking too much like a fool. "Your... mate...." he repeated, unsure if his ears were playing tricks on him or not, her blush seemed to confirm her words and that all but stunned him more... Eden... showing emotion! That in itself was rare, but volenterring it....! WOW! No one would believe him even if he did tell. "Then why.... why did it look like he was attacking you?" He said as a soft frown covered his mouth at how close the stallion was getting to his sister and before he could help it he found himself mumbling, "...and does he have to do that now....? It's weird... you're my sister...."

Eden She couldn't help it, she giggled, the look on her brothers face was priceless. Nuzzling Orion back and whispering for his ears alone. "I love you too but lets not make my brother implode." Humour in her tone asshe moves away just enough, but still sticking close. It would never have occured to her to hedge about it, besodes she saw nothign wrong with him and one day she hoped he didn't either. Looking back to Crown she shrugged a little. "I don't know, maybe it was because he dropped something he was carrying and was looking for it." Not sure what angle her brother had seen from so she had no idea, but then Orion had not really done anything else so that must have been what Crown saw. Orion Orion gulped hard as she said he was her brother..... for some reason that meant something to Orion, and eventhough he wasn't exactly the most social of creatures he had hoped to at least make a good impression for her sake... seemed that idea was lost now, he couldn't help but be mad at himself for that.
Turning his attention to Crown for a moment before he realised what she said.... "Oh no... I dropped it!" Ignoring them both for a moment he tried to find it in the mud once more, feeling a little ashamed that he had dirtied his face as Eden had just cleaned it.... but he had to find it! He had been looking after it so carefully the whole way here, that to lose it at the last hurdle seemed a shame. Crown Crown gasped at his sister, she was laughing at him... something else that was rare for her.... "What's got into you?" He found himself asking, although the answer was clear... her mate.... the change was.... more than he could have ever hoped for, and part of him was almost jealous that this strange stallion -who now had his nose covered in the mud once more- had been able to do something he had never been able to. He brought out a light in Eden that few knew exsisted.
"Oh...." He said as her words sunk in, and he knew what he had to do... although it would kill him a little to do it.... he would help. "What are we looking for?" Crown asked as he approached Eden and her mate and copied the motion, getting his nose and the tip of his hair covered in mud as he felt around for anything that didn't belong.

Eden Eden shook her head. "I don't know, it wasn't very big but I didn't get to see it more than that really...." Trailing off surprised as her brother started looking too, wandering closer to him and planting a kiss on his cheek before she too started looking, if all 3 of them looked then they had much more of a chance to find it. And right now she was too happy to care about getting filthy, she was with her two favourite stallions after all.
Though part of her was a little stung at the look that had passed in Crown's eyes, wondering if she had hurt him somehow without meaning to?... She would have to talk to him alone sometime soon, he would always be precious to her and finally she was starting to understand gow to express that properly. Orion Orion was so consumed with finding the object that he hadn't really noticed much else, not Eden joining him or her brother... and it was probably for that reason that Orion kept encrouching on their space, his nose rubbed gently against Eden's once or twice and behind his blindfold he couldn't help give her a glance each time eventhough he was distracted. Crown Crown found himself smiling, and thankful that his face was covered in dirt, as his sister kissed him. Again something rare, but it still brought a slight pinkening to his cheeks. It was hard looking for something you didn't really know what it was... but then his nose came into contact with something small... and maybe.... wooden? Unsure he made a move to pick it up just as Orion did the same.... and.. eventhough Crown could almost see what would happened he couldn't stop it as his lips came into contact with Orions. He pulled back almost immediatly, blowing rasberries and spitting twice on the ground. "Ew... ew.... ew..."

Eden Eden blinked and lifted her head again not totally sure what had happened, but she tilted her head looking at her brother as he spit on the ground. Her mind going along the lines that he got some mud in his mouth more than what had achtually happened. Orion Orion was too determined to think about the fact that he had... kissed Eden's brother.... it was disturbing, but the need to find the little trinket overwhelmed his flight responce. Picking it up in his mouth he held the mud coated thing up with pride, he couldn't exactly see that it currently looked like nothing more than a twig covered in mud.... and would need a wash before the beauty was revealed once more. Crown Crown stopped his dance of 'ew' as Orion stood up, the look on his face was one of utter pride and longing as if Eden's acceptance meant every to him..... perhaps it did, he mused, after all what did Crown know about such things? He looked at the stallion for the first time.... he had an elegant body, fine muscles that complimented his form... a pelt the colour of midnight but with bright blue hair that stood out a mile.... was that what had attracted his sister? The almost mysterious look about him? Crown shook his head, unsure why he had taken in so many details about the stallion... and giving himself the only answer that seemed acceptable, he was checking that Eden had made a right choice... yes that was is. A light pink tint returned to his cheeks either way.
In an effort to distract himself he said, "So... we just ended up kissing and for that....?" The mud soaked thing didn't seem worth the effort.

Eden Orion's eyes wandered to Crown for a moment and he shook his head trying to insist that they hadn't kissed, that it had been an accident... that Eden was the only one for him, but he didn't dare voice it in fear of letting the thing go again. His smile deflated a little as he realised his special little present looked like nothing.... still, Eden didn't seem to care about that. As she suggested going to get it cleaned up he nodded, thinking that he would make a big deal of giving it to here then, and he still hoped with all his heart that she liked it. Paris was a bit of a manwhore in Crown's opinion, and had been with more mares than he could count in his quest to find his life mate... someone who would have to sweep him off his hooves Crown was sure.... and that left Crown.... he didn't have anyone, and had never been looking. The truth being that although he had gone to the meeting point to meet others from outside of the herd his attention had never been swayed by a mare.... no, far more disturbing..... he found himself looking at the stallions.

Eden Eden walked along, showing the quicket way to the lake, the little bay cut into the forest but there was a slight beach. She didn't bother waiting, they were all grubby with mud so when she reached the edge she just wandered into the water to get washed up, her long mane floating next to her. Always finding it easier to bather with others, after all you could never get all the dirt off alone. Orion Orion followed, nervous because he had never been here before... and part of him was worried about Crown being with them, he didn't know the stallion but couldn't help feeling as if he wanted Crown to like him, for Eden's sake. Although they hadn't really spoke of her family he got the impression that Crown was important to her.
Orion followed Eden into the water, the cool liquid wasn't something he had expected and sent a shiver down his spine that nearly made him open his mouth. Thankfully he resisted the urge. Carefully he dipped his mouth into the water and out again a few times, noticing a few lumps of dirt floating in the water before sinking... he hoped it was getting cleaner. Crown Crown followed, wandering when Eden had met this stallion.... he would have to ask her, part of him had noticed Eden was really happy lately, but he hadn't been able to figure out more than that.... he would have to talk to her later. Realising he was coated in mud too he entered softly and swam towards his sister, whispering softly.... "So.... when did you meet him?" Now probably wasn't the time but since the other stallion seemed very distracted he took advantage of it.

Eden Eden looked at her brother as he had wandered over to where she had been washing, wondering why he was whispering but dismissing the thought as unimportant. Looking over to Orion her expression softening when she saw him washing his trinket before himself. "A while ago now.." She had scared Orion that first time, though she was still trying to understand why, he was good heared but seemed blind to that in himself. Orion Orion continued cleaning the little trinket, but when he felt that strange feeling he often got when someone was looking at him he paused to look up.... seeing Eden looking his way, he smiled at her, being careful not to drop the trinket. Deciding it clean enough he started walking back to the shore so he could leave it out to dry while he saw to himself. Crown Crown frowned a little, it wasn't exactly an answer but he supposed it was the best he would get. It didn't matter he supposed, all that mattered was her happiness. "Fair enough..... I won't be nosey." He looked to his sister and noted some dirt in her hair, he tugged at it softly and the dried clump fell into the water.

Eden Eden looked round as the mud fell of her hair and looked at her brother again. "What exactly were you wanting to know then if that doesn't answer your question?" Her tone questioning, not sure what exactly he wanted to know. Ducking her head to get any extra dirt out that she might have missed. Looking at Crown again when she resurfaced. Orion Orion entered the water slowly, noticing the brother and sister pair talking... he didn't want to interupt. So instead tried to wash up and be presentable for Eden. Crown Crown blinked as his sister spoke, he didn't really know what he was expecting... information.... something. "I....eh....." He stuttered before turning away from her, he kicked his legs in the water to clean them before finally saying. "I am happy for you Eden."

Eden Eden gave Crown a thoughtful look as she headed for the shore, he was acting oddly, but thne this was kind of a bomb she supposed. Shaking the water off of herself when she was out of it. Tucking her mane over a wing so it didn't drag and get dirty again, she settled under a tree aiting patiently for the boys to be done. Orion Orion noticed Eden walking back to the shore and couldn't help but follow, it didn't matter if he was still covered of dirt or not any excuse to spend some time with her... plus he had a gift for her, and it was killing him to see her reaction. He gulped as he hit the shore and picked up the little trinket. Orion wasted no time as he joined her, but as he got there he saw a strange expression on Eden's face, confused he carefully placed the wooden trinket on the ground aand spoke; "Are you ok?" Crown Crown felt a little like a coward but he stayed in the water for quite a while after Eden and Orion had.... part of him didn't want to join the happy couple and he did have the feeling that he had interupted something between them earlier... plus.... Crown knew he was jealous.
