Personality:
Well mannered Catherine slightly prides herself on her manners if it be at the table, in school, in public, in confrontations or other situations. Her skill in the way she handles herself with poise and classical views of how a young lady should behave are things that Catherine does both out of habit and desire. Her manners keep her out of trouble for the most part, and out of confrontations. That isn't to say they do not happen and when they do, it take a lot to pusher her over the edge and make her forget herself and act out.
Sensitive She is someone who cares about others in the way you care for a friend you do not know well. She's a caring individual who is willing to lend an ear and shoulder to cry on, but at the same time she is somewhat detached because she's usually not close to those she will reach out to. This doesn't mean she cares any less, only that her depth of fully understanding their plight might not be as deep as others.
Personally Practical If it makes no sense to her, Catherine won't do it, buy it, use, or keep it. Things in her life should have some sort of use and when they don't, they're often ignored or lessened. Tying herself to people also falls into this. If a person can help her, she'll help them. If a person is a risk she'll avoid them. Her self interest isn't made to be cruel, it's just made to help her get through life and life's choices.
Humble While she had pride in her manners, she's often shy and downplays her accomplishments, if they be great or small. Compliments are downplayed or brushed off, (possibly ignored). They tend to embarrass Catherine, who's self confidence is not the highest. Even if it may be in something like her manners, she really would still deny it. She just..doesn't think she's that good or special.
Un-trusting It's not that fact that she wants to be un-trusting, but when your told one thing and people do the other, after so long you begin to lose faith in just what people say and do. Her trust is less motivation based as emotional and personal, taking people's word and simply not believing them. If they 'wrong her' she'll think the actions there after attempts to placate her, this is the one motivation based act she thinks to be genuinely true of people. She is very slow to trusting what people say, and puts more weight with people's actions or lack of.
Dependent: Catherine wants to be useful, she strives for it, but in needing constant reaffirmation of a job well done she's terrified of putting herself out there and taking chances with others. She stumbles once and she'll curl into an internal ball and worry at how she messed up and made things worse for others. She doesn't need help with things so much as she needs and craves validation. She knows she can do things, but her fears of disappointing others hold her back, and make her cling to those who give her praise and are kind in their words to her.

History:
Born to her immigrant father and mother, they came to America for her father's work as a historian, and decided to settle down when Catherine was born and her father was hired on permanently at the university. Living in Teufel Town her whole life, she's never moved from her family's two story home in the suburbs. Her father was always the calm man loving and devoted to his daughter, where as her mother was always the one pushing Catherine to work harder, to strive to do better.
Family:
Eric Shephard: Father- Works as a world's history professor at the University and sometimes works part time through historical societies identifying old medieval artifacts. He tends to be a stereotypical doting father to Catherine, and their bond is close in comparison to that of the bond with her mother.
Joanna Shepard: Mother- Works as head pastry chef in a small but upper scale restaurant. Catherine often feels strained by her mother and doesn't like her, despite loving her at the same time.

Just a quick heads up that the bottom coding's broken in the first post but more importantly you should know that the outfit colors are the eye color! They're the color of the soul gem and they're the color of the puella's costume. It should also be the color you use for their text when they speak or think. There should only be one single text color you reference.
Sorry it's not a full crit but I thought I'd let you know about that before you got too far ahead~
