It was getting late into the evening. The street lights were already on, washing out any stars in the sky. Chris was on his way home from the library, having taken some time to talk to those he knew that worked there, and then pick up a book to try and figure out how to use a compass. Unlike his older brother, Chris had focused on baseball and learning how to play the guitar instead of dedicating his time to Boy Scouts. Heck, he was sure that even Peter, who was only a Cub Scout, knew how to use a compass with little effort. Of course, he could also turn on the compass application on his smart phone and figure out what way to go from that, but that wasn't the point.
He wanted to know how to use it, at the very least. He might not need to find North all the time, but just in case he was stuck in a situation in which he needed his weapon to determine direction, well, it would be good to know.
It was while walking between a flower shop and a little cafe, both long closed for the night, that he felt the spike in energy from a youma appearing nearby. Chris's head snapped up to look around, trying to figure out which would be the best way to find it, before taking off down the alley closest to him. A few moments later he was skidding to a halt as he caught sight of the creature. It was the size of a small pony, and looked like it could have been some kind of reptile — a turtle, specifically. Oh, except it had spines on its tail.
The youma turned towards him suddenly, and Chris was glad that it seemed as though he would be the first (and only) person it tried to attack that night. He just needed to set his book down somewhere and power up...

Maia frowned looking down from the roof top she stood and noticing a ridiculous looking turtle. It always had to be something weird didn't it and it seemed this turtle with its odd tail could do quite a bit of damage. Her frowned deepened when a boy came into the alley, book in hand, then after spotting the youma seemed to be looking for something.
Maia groaned, smacking her hand against her face and jumping down from the rooftop to land between the boy and the youma. She turned to it ignoring the boy for the moment. "Sweet Harmony," she called out allowing the music to fill her and the sweet song to spill from her lips. The translucent rainbow colored notes forming in the air and rushing at the youma to slow it down.
It slumped just as they always did and Maia turned back to the boy. It was Chris, she groaned once more.
"That will only last for a minute. I suggest you get going before that thing can move again because its going to rather pissed off."

Chris nearly jumped in surprise when the senshi appeared out of nowhere. And not just any senshi, but a high ranking senshi. He'd met a few already, but this one was new.
"Whoa," he sputtered, staring as she used her attack, almost dropping the book still in his hand. "You're the senshi of... Harmony?" he guessed, reminding himself that senshi, unlike knights, specialized in certain things. He knew he might be wrong about it since there were music notes flying around. Maybe something dealing more with music, then...?
He shook his head when she told him to leave, more or less. "I can help," he insisted. "You're going to need someone keeping an eye on that tail. Are you going to go for its head? It looks like there's a shell of some sort..." At least that's what he would go for. Of course, if she thought she could handle it all on her own...
Hmm... she was a lot stronger than he was... all he had was his compass and strength as an athlete. Maybe if he found something to throw he wouldn't be as useless.

Maia raised an eyebrow at him when he asked if she was the senshi of Harmony and frowned deeply because that meant he'd probably done this before. "No," she said simply, before turning toward the thing.
"Also I do not need any help. Its just a youma. Youma dusting is pretty easy. I've been doing this for long enough. You should go home Chris." It was out of her mouth before she realized it and she definitely should not have made that mistake. It was too late, she called him by his name and no doubt that would only make him more curious, not that he be able to recognize her, but still she knew better.
She looked over her shoulder briefly at her friend before having to jump out of the way of the tail of the now extremely angry youma. Always angry, she thought annoyed, which was followed by a wish that Chris had been coming from batting practice. A bat would have been nice right about then.

He frowned when she didn't elaborate on who she was, thinking that 'harmony' was a pretty good guess. Her attack had 'harmony' in it, after all.
"Watch out!" he gasped, jumping out of the way of the tail as well, stumbling on the uneven pavement. He couldn't jump as easily unpowered, and had almost fallen on his face. That would have been just wonderful. "Maybe we can get it onto its back?" he suggested, making his way along the wall of the building and out of the way before he cou--
"How do you know my name?" he suddenly turned to stare at her. He hadn't caught it when she'd said it at first, but... he hadn't told her who he was. Was she someone he knew? He... didn't recognize her... but he wouldn't, would he? Zia had told him when he'd first changed that they were protected.
He was so distracted by the fact that she knew him, somehow, that he didn't see the youma's tail when it swung back around. It barely clipped his side, but it was enough to send him off balance and into the pavement, and in the perfect smashing area for the youma's tail. Well, that was kind of lame. He didn't want to look like an idiot to someone who obviously knew him somehow.

Maia jumped out of the way of the tail easily, frowning and turning to attack the ridiculous turtle thing. Why were they always so weird. Unfortunately her mistake had him asking question which was very distracting while she was trying to evade the stupid tail, which seemed determined to smash her.
She jumped to the left only to see Chris hit the ground all to close to the stupid youma tail of doom. She jumped over grabbing his arm and pulling him out of the way.
"I can't tell you who I am. Its not safe for you to know. Just know I'm your friend and I don't want you to get hurt. At the same time," she said pulling him to his feet and attempting to dogde another swing. "I kind of need a distraction. We don't need to flip it, I just need to slow it down again."
She looked like she didn't really want to wait for an responce, "Can you do that please?"

Chris gaped in exasperation at the senshi. She knew him but she didn't want him getting hurt...? Or in the way, really...
"I can distract it," he spoke up, a determined look on his face as he decided to power up. It was better than running around as a civilian, anyway. He was faster like this, stronger and more agile. It would be better this way, anyway. Now he just hoped that whoever this Maia person was... wouldn't freak out that he was also a super-hero-like person... No, he wasn't a senshi, and no he didn't have magic or a very good weapon, but he could at least distract a youma, right...??
"Hey!" he called to the youma, effectively jumping out of the way of its tail this time. Ha! See? It was at least a little better to be a knight. At least he didn't get whacked with youma tails... All the time...
He ran out to try and get on the other side of the monster, scooping up a can that had been left as trash on the curb and threw it. The youma hissed angrily, apparently not liking the taste of cola.

Maia frowned deeply when Chris powered up. Granted she wasn't a negaverser, so she wasn't out to kill him, but she still it seemed careless to her. She did not have time to think about it. The pair of them had a youma to take out and preferably sooner rather than later.
She stood giving Chris time to distract the youma and resolving to ask him is name and just what exactly her was. He felt different that a senshi and she wondered briefly if he was a cavalier, but wondered why they would show about again now after not being around for so long.
He succeeded in making it angrier than it previously had been, but that had its attention on Chris and not Maia, so she turned and called out, "Absolute Harmony." The music filled her and she sang the lovely notes into existence once more with a grin on her face. The rushed right at the youma swarming about the thing and sinking into its shell.
She watched as it slowed down slumping to the ground its pursuit of halted.
"Now we just have to dust it, that attack will last for about three minutes. Do you see anything to take it out with?"

"Old mic stand?" he offered, pausing by the dumpster in the alley to pull out the heavy base of, well... an old mic stand. They must be near some kind of night club, although he probably would have tried to give something like this to a charity to be reused rather than tossing it completely. It was a good, solid piece of equipment, after all.
Valhalla held the stand out to the Eternal senshi, since it appeared that she didn't want him to have anything to do with fighting the thing.
Besides, he was just a page. What more could he do than stand around for support?
Regardless, he went to dig through the dumpster some more, pulling out what looked like an old plant stand. Eh, it was good for whacking things with, but not as powerful as the metal base.
"You've done this a number of times, haven't you?" he wondered out loud, looking her over curiously.

Maia took the mic stand quickly, but frowned slightly as it wasn't very much weight to it. She hoped it would do the trick to dust the youma. They didn't have much time, three minutes went by faster than one would think in a battle. She had no desire to officially meet the tail end of the youma. Still she waited for Valhalla to grab a weapon.
"For over a year," she answered the question, "I hardly look the type huh, but enough talk, we'll catch up later."
No more words were said after that, no Maia headed right for the youma, right to the head and prepared to ram the mic through the beast head right into the shell. It was obvious from her posture what she was planning to do and she gave Valhalla a look that said to do the same, nodding as if to say together.
One, two, three, she shoved the mic right for the slumped youma's mouth.

"Or you can do that," Valhalla mumbled in near exasperation as the senshi shoved the pole into the youma's mouth, causing it to let out a roar and then burst into dust.
The page paused, halfway into the dumpster but looking over his shoulder at the result of the fight. At least it ended. He should definitely be happy about that. But he couldn't help but think that she thought he was kind of useless. He had a pointless weapon, no magic, and was climbing through dumpsters in order to find weapons to use against these things.
He jumped down after a few moments to take a few steps towards her, offering to take the discarded mic stand to toss back where it belonged. "Is now a good later?" he wondered, glancing over at the senshi, still very curious as to what she meant.
She'd known him for over a year...? Was she a classmate of his? She couldn't possibly be older than he was...

Maia frowned at the dust which flew up into her face and in her hair and on her fuku. "I hate that part," she muttered dusting herself off and huffing slightly. "I need a shower."
She turned to Chris letting him take the mic and nodding, "Yes, now is a good later. There's no one around that I can feel, so I can show you who I am if you'd like, but first."
She put a serious, your about to get a lecture face. "Introduction are in order. You asked earlier, sorry I didn't answer, but I am the senshi of song, Sailor Maia. Obviously I can't call you, well Chris, so what's your name?"
She waited for him to give his name still giving him the serious face then plowed into the, "you really shouldn't just power up randomly in front of someone like you just did. Granted it was useful this time, but not all negaversers look like negaverser, if that makes sense. I've meet one that is more resemblant in dress to a senshi. You have to be more careful."
Really after dusting a youma and gaining a new ally the lecture was more worried than anything, but Maia didn't really care. She had lost a lot of her steam.

"Valhalla of Jupiter," he said and frowned when she said his name again, but he still had no idea who she was outside of the disguise. He took the mic stand from her, but of course it didn't take him long to be flinching back at her lecture, and he quickly lifted his hands to try and defend himself, although that was hardly necessary.
"Hey, hey! But I can tell you were a senshi! You're kind of strong, aren't you? I could feel your energy. It's a good energy. I can tell if it's a bad energy. It makes me all anxious if it's bad!" he tried to explain. It was a strange feeling, but he definitely knew that she was on the "good" side, whatever that was.
"So, who are you?" he wondered, glancing around. "Should we be standing around like this...? Can't others feel our energy, too?" Not that he knew for sure, but he could imagine. After all, that was how he could sense youma and others who were powered up, so it should work in reverse, right?
Maybe not...

"Well it's nice to meet you Valhalla," she said with a small laugh because they techically already knew one another.
She frowned at his explanation, but decided she did not really want to argue her point not really. She responded, "there always more to this than you think. Just be more careful please." She sighed and dusted her fuku, trying to get the youma dust off. It was classic Lily, who did not like to be dirt and likes neatness. To think she could be a senshi, was a bit laughable.
"Yes," she said absently, "they can feel me, for a little ways actually more so than you, but I dont feel anyone." She summoned her phone and showed him the gps tracker screen, "see, we're it."
She let the phone go back to wherever it came from, "Im going to power down now. I think I'm done for the night. Ive got homework. I can give you a ride home if you need."
She followed this up by letting herself become Lily again, but she frowned at gunk in her hair. "I need a shower," she muttered again.
