It is said that in ancient times, a species of humans ruled the world. They were kind-hearted, passionate, and friendly-for the most part. Their queen, Queen Alexandra the Fourth, was indeed a great ruler. She was the shining emerald upon the other great jewels of her family generations before her. The Queen was but a fair maiden in a heartless sanctuary, however. One day while she was away, war struck the peaceful town of Bear Ridge. A herd of demons came and sieged upon the city, crushing towns and destroying thousands of lives to eat and enjoy splendor. Some humans were given great powers-and those who did were normally granted these wonderful gifts by powerful mythical creatures. Most recieved the strength or agility of animals who prospered in the forest, and so in turn for these great attributes, the humans who became part of the animals' families and grew ears and tails like those animals. These humans were the ones who fought the most battles in the war. This war between human and demon became known as Tribal Yu Gon Roh, which translates to "eternal slumber" in the native tongue. The war lasted over 300,000 years, until the demons finally cast a curse on the whole civilization, turning them into stone. Families were frozen in place and warriors dropped dead upon the pavement, either smashing to pieces or cracking upon impact. The demons had won, so they named a king to replace the capital village of Bear Ridge with their own. King Jasper was their ruler, and he was merciless. He knows no end to this reign of madness.
Prophecy states that ten chosen people from different worlds would come and break the curse upon the city, and defeat the evil King Jasper, but... that day has yet to arrive upon this fair realm.
The main question is: Will you help us?

Rules!

3) This is a SLOW roleplay. Take it easy and make your posts nice and long so we can have interesting dialogue!
4) No godmodding. Period.
5) I base these kinds of roleplays on a level system-like a video game. Everyone starts at level one. I will post level-up status in the next post.

7) There are few prophets out there. The prophets are like gods. Treat them nicely.

Level-up and Stats
question Everyone starts at Level one. The only exceptions are the prophets and demons-but demons are lower or higher levels depending on the region you choose to be in. Be careful where you go!
~ To gain levels, you fight demons of course. I will award you certain amounts of EXP when you win a fight.
~ For level 2, you need to have 15 EXP. That's simple enough. Add 15 more EXP to the previous 15 to get 30, and that's how many points you need to level up to the next level and so on and so forth.
~ Your stats increase once you level up. Think of it like Pokemon-you increase your speed if you're electric and power if you're fighting, etc etc etc. Choose your stats wisely.
NOTE:: There's power in numbers! Once we have all ten of the chosens in my world, this system will collapse and it won't matter anymore. Kind of like .Hack, no?

What in the world..? Vinceria (The birthplace of Yu Gon Roh)
Umm, how does it go again?: She is shy and sweet, but her emotional status is very unstable. She can break down at any moment, given the fact that she has much stress on her already. She does not fight well since there is a dark side to her that increases every time she fights. She fears loosing control to that evil within her before her time comes. This evil is partially because of Grey.
Autobiography: Skye was born in the capitol city of Bear Ridge, Vinceria. She used to always play with her best friend, Grey, who played songs for her on his Ocarina. She was a happy child back then. It was only until she started her prophet training that she learned the dangers of the real world. She was heartbroken when Grey joined the army when they were 16. He died shortly after, being turned to stone and never to awaken again. She became mute after that for three years, taking silent vigils each night to mourn his death. When she finally came to, she had finished her training. Skye was to become the greatest prophet known to Vinceria, and she was determined to find the guardians herself. She considers the guardians close friends, considering they are the incarnations of ten of her friends from when she was a child.
Familiars: None as of yet.
Powers: The powers of a prophet.
A little spicy: She has a pupil, Kamina. He will be the next prophet after she.

I love to party: Ruthless and powerful, Jasper wants nothing but power. He is bloodthirsty and cruel, and his world is a world filled with complete darkness. He will do anything to stop Skye from returning the guardians to Vinceria.
I hate my life...: As a boy, Jasper loved to destroy villages and play pranks on the pitiful humans. He loved to joke around, and most of all he loved to burn things. As a pyrotechnic, he made beautiful fireworks that blew up buildings more often than it made spectacles of light in the sky. His parents were very proud of him. When he was given the throne in his teens, he assumed a merciless role. It was one of the best times of his life. But when he saw a little girl strolling across Bear Ridge, instantly her adorableness became contagious. He enjoyed watching her through the desolate ruins of Bear Ridge, watching as she stumbled across different statues and things. He wanted to play with her, but if he showed his face to her she would run away. To prevent her from running, he created false memories inside her to make her feel safe around him-no. Around the person he gave the name Grey to. She came to love Grey, but not Jasper. He was both angered and saddened by this fact, so he sent Grey to join the continental army. He died shortly after.
Upon seeing the girl's poor pathetic face, Jasper knew he could never be with her like he wanted. Still, in his mind he chased after her and her smiling face, wanting to forget that she hated him with all her being.
I have these...: He can turn people to stone around him as far as 100 meters, can create false memories, and he can cause illusions to mess with your mind.
Oh, a sword!: He is King of the demons, and knows not of mercy.
Do I even know how to say...: I have not one. (He secretly loves Skye-in a creepy sort of way)

Umm, how does it go again?: Kamina Is a lively and easygoing boy, although a bit timid.
Autobiography: Kamina was born during the end of the war, he was raised by his mother since his father had died In the war. Sadly, Kamina's mother died as well from a sickness. After that, he crawled around Vinceria until he bumbed Into Skye. She looked so much like his mother so Kamina became attached to her rather quickly, he has never left her side, even to this very day. Kamina Is currenly training under Skye to become a Prophet, he learned how to fight and use magic but he would rather use shields and healing magic then fight.
Familiars: A shadow magica named June. ((shadow magica: They are small two tailed fox summon monster's that can turn Into anything weapon the user wants. But In some case's, they can turn Into clothes, item's, wings or even a tail and ears.))
