Bix was studying. HARD.
Ever since they'd come back from their first undercover mission to Halloween, Bix had been lurking around the library. He was loitering in the section with information on monsters, demons and miscellaneous Halloween species. Most of the books were pretty standard but he was determined to learn all about the species he'd encountered. He'd always liked that sort of thing.. especially when it came to D&D or Lord of the Rings. He'd had a book called 'The Tolkien Bestiary' back when he lived home. It was his favorite as a kid and he now regretted it being stuffed in a corner under his bed because it totally escaped his mind when he'd packed to come to Deus.
What he wasn't good at was staying in the library. It was much too quiet and there were alot of people in white coats and gold scarves who were shooting him dirty looks because he had a hard time staying still in his chair. Bix, instead of hanging around, checked the books out (actually he tried to steal them until someone pointed out it was a LIBRARY and you could borrow them) and went out onto the grounds to read.
He walked along the trimmed lawn and looked up at the never-quite-blue sky. At least the breeze here was nice and always sort of smelled like the ocean. He headed towards the farthest edge of the lawn where the mist just started to gather heavily. He hadn't quite gotten the balls to just go out into the mist for fun or training. Instead he hung around the edges and let the mist play tricks on his eyes if he stared too long. Bix found a tree, none in particular, and plopped himself down with a few books. One of the books was a text book but the rest were comics.
Thankfully his weapon was taking a break. He wasn't sure if they slept but every once in a while he received a nice calm, a time where she didn't interject her two-cents.

The field trip had been something that was for sure. Tika hadn't really gotten to mingle with any of the towns folk like the majority of her partners but even so she'd seen enough to get a taste. And enough to get her a** to the library to do some research to better prepare her self for the next time they went on a mission like that. Next time she'd be ready.
That was why she was now making her way through the door of the library and not training. You had to keep a sharp mind as well as body to survive being a hunter. As a mist hunter, Tika had to prepare her self for any type of situation that might be thrown at her.
That was when she noticed just how stuffy it was in the library. The teen grabbed a hand full of good sized books and made her way out side. Studying didn't have to be done out doors right? That was when she spotted Bix seemingly having the same idea as her. The teen gave him a small smile but said nothing. She needed to get studying done after all.

Bix was actually in the process of putting a comic book INTO the center of the text book and reading that instead. He glanced around guiltily and spotted Tika, which was enough to snap the larger book shut hastily.
"Hey Tika!" He'd briefly hung out with the girl on their mission and he seemed to think that his friend Before was into her. Of course that was reason enough to talk to her. He waved his hand for her to come over. As per usual he was analyzing her as a 'chick' and would be mentally scrutinizing her on behalf of his best bro, Before.
"Just uh. studying." He shook the text book but the comic book slid out from the middle. "Studying hard."

Tika noticed that he was putting something in the pages of the book but she didn't know what and just assumed it was his way of marking where he left off. She thought nothing of it. What did surprise her was Bix's warm and friendly attitude. Her eyes stared at him a little in shock with the greeting for a moment. "O-oh. Hi Bix. Sorry." She scratched the back of her head and eyed her own pile of books, "You looked busy I didn't want to bother you. Guess we had the same idea huh?" Tika believed he was studying hard.

Of course Tika, not knowing Bix very well, had no idea that once the introduction phase of the relationship had been passed and once the young man deemed you okay enough, you would probably be getting full force Bix all the time. Bix at his finest was talkative, odd and rather eager.
He shifted position, tucking his feet underneath himself, as he turned more directly to talk to Tika. "Library is really stuffy. Too quite and I have a hard time sitting school. You know back in grade school I used to get in trouble for 'sitting wrong' in my chair?" Weird stupid fact.
"I don't mind." He didn't let slip that his studying had been interspersed with comic reading. "What book did you get? I have something on folk monsters of the US.. it's pretty cool. Do you think there's a Jersey Devil in that Halloween place?" If Tika wanted to get away he didn't seem to notice. He was pretty happy with the company.

"Sitting the wrong way? Theres a wrong way?" Tika snorted, she was being a little sarcastic. Just a little though. The weird stupid fact did earn Bix a smile from Tika.
"I got one on yetis... but I seemed to have picked up the wrong one.." Tika revealed the one she was talking about. The title was 'The yeti mating call and you'. The teen was not in the least bit embarrassed by this at all. No, she thought it was kind of funny.
"I picked up a lot of random monster books too. I haven't had time to look at most of them but.. since we don't know what we'll be stuck as next time we go back I figured it would be safer to study up on as much as I can," Being a male yeti had been something completely awkward and completely something she was not yet prepared for.

Bix also snickered at the title of her book. "Don't learn too much from that book. You think there's pictures?!" Typical guy....
"I totally made up a whole bunch of crap about yetis when I was there. No one seemed to notice. I guess the cultural stuff only matters if you come across something of the same species. I'd hate to bow to someone and find out we were engaged or something crazy." He'd also not been prepared for being a yeti and especially not a FEMALE one. He did alright though, in his opinion.
"So what did you think of it over there?" He leaned forward now, his voice dropped to a whisper as if instructors were hiding in the trees waiting to hear their REAL opinions. "Kinda caught me off guard how NORMAL some stuff was."

"Really? Thats interesting... I didn't really get a chance to socialize with anyone.." Truth was, she hadn't gotten a chance to make friends with her team mates either. It was no wonder she hadn't mingled in with the crowd.
"Well... Also my yeti body was a little hard to walk in... Really? Normal? You think that they were normal? I don't know man. " Tika dropped her books and crossed her arms. Her head seemed to c**k to the side on its own.
"I didn't get a chance to really mingle but they seemed like acts from a circus of the strange to me. At least from the little I saw.." Tika clenched her teeth a little remembering how she struggled with that golem. No one else seemed to have as much trouble as she had.
"Its good to know that you can make up stuff on the fly at least though." A smile sprouted on her face.

"Well I meant.. not normal." Bix rocked back on his butt a little and put his hands down in the grass behind him to prop himself up. "But I wasn't expecting to see booths for student council elections. I also met a 3 reapers.. yeah that's what they are called.. and they looked like normal kids. They dressed funny but kind of like us, they summoned weapons for themselves. One guy had this guitar-scythe thing and one guy had a wicked magic book.. it was like world of warcraft book or something."
Bix made a face though as if he was thinking. "But.. they will all be trying to kill us at some point." He nodded to this definite fact. "Even the ones who might seem 'sweet'." The weird undead girl, Amrita, didn't seem at all like a killer. If she hadn't been a zombie monster he'd have thought she was just any sweet girl.
"I reeeaaaally need to learn how to talk like a Halloween person though.." he let out a sudden laugh. "Ghoul? Boil? I dunno whats supposed to sound normal and whats supposed to have some weird name."

Tika nodded when he stated they could be killers.
"Yeah thats whats important to keep in mind. They seem friendly enough to their own kind... I suppose." Tika scratched her head, "But I don't know if they'd feel the same way if we weren't in golems." Though, of course, in halloween town a human would explode from the over dose of fear. But if there was a situation where hunter and halloween towner were to meet face to face, Taki was sure it wouldn't be pretty.
She had the memory of her brothers death to remember. The teen couldn't be sure what exactly was responsible for it but most of her believed and even blamed the creatures they had just encountered. There was a chip on her shoulder for sure. What she saw that night had to be one of -these- things. There was no proof that what ever she saw that night had even been real though or even if what she saw HAD been responsible. It just made Tika feel better to blame something other then her self.
"Its good that they are receptive to us in our golems though. Learning about what makes them really tick is a good way to learn how to deal with them later." She picked up the yeti book she'd gotten from the library. "And we can probably get a little cheap laugh on the side to eh?"

"Oh my god.. speaking of cheap laughs. How about that dou.. err.. guy Robert ? In the undead gnome thing? Flying all over the place?" Bix clearly didn't like the guy. He had no reason actually. He just looked at him and instantly disliked him. He was so amused to see him booted, thrown and punted all over the mission.
Bix adjusted his posture again. He untucked his legs, spread them out and stretched. He'd already sat in several different position since Tika walked up minuted ago. It was no wonder his school teachers would be annoyed. Could you imagine that for 8 hours?
"I hope they do some instructional courses.." He didn't mind homework and it would keep them busy, keep them thinking. "There's just too much information. Did you know one of the kids in Halloween told me that they went on a trip to Christmas Town?"
Bix couldn't let that go for some reason. Christmas Town, he imagined, WOULD BE AWESOME.

"...Robert guy?" Tika had missed the entirety of the incident with Robert. She bit her lip and frowned some feeling quite out of the loop a little useless.
"..CHRISTMAS TOWN? WHAT! Theres a town for EVERY holiday or something? Thats... Thats ... " It was unbelievable to say the least to the teen. A Christmas town? Though on the other hand they where spying on other worldly beings in halloween town... but for some reason something like Santa seemed more of a far off fairy tail then yetis and other creatures.
"I suppose we have more realms to protect from this halloween town." If a hostile world such as halloween town existed there was no telling what damage it could do to other realms. Hopefully they could minimize any threat.

"Robert is the big guy.. he's got red in his hair and he's always arguing with his girlfriend?" Bix snorted derisively. "He's got.. like.. muscles and stuff? EH. Doesn't matter. He was a gnome during the mission and people were just kicking and throwing him around. Apparently that's okay in Halloween." Bix snickered. That could be useful in the future.. gnomes were completely disrespected.
"Santa... could be REAL." Bix got starry eyes a bit. It was easy to believe that Santa wasn't real. That was kids stuff... but what if everything adults told you was completely wrong? He was learning day by day that the things that went bump in the night were completely real. Maybe the good things were too?
"I wonder if the Easter Bunny is real? I mean that seems kinda ridiculous. Giant bunny giving out eggs?" He shook his head and tugged on his bangs a bit. "It's kind of overwhelming. How did all of this stuff come to be?" Weren't holidays created by people.. for celebration purposes?

"Hmmm Robert... I still can't say I remember him." Tika shrugged. To be fair, she didn't really know or remember most of her team mates. So far the one that stood out the most was Bix. And that was because Bix gave her the time of day and had been a yeti. "That leads to the question.. if there are other worlds." Tike shrugged again. To her , the concept seemed silly. Halloween town seemed more like the underworld to her then an actual world based on a holiday. That seemed to silly and far fetched to the teen. Holidays. "If Santa were real though ... I'd be happy.."

Bix shifted slightly away from the tree he was leaning against and flopped onto his back. He looked up at the sky but it was a consistent grey-ish blue and every once in a while a tendril of trippy mist would loop out from the mass that covered the island. His studying seemed to be momentarily forgotten. He moved with antsy motions, someone who couldn't sit still for more than a few minutes. He rolled back over onto his stomach with a dramatic sigh and put his hands under his head.
"Soo... I'm gonna be all invasive and stuff.. Why are you here?" He flashed a grin, hoping she'd open up on their first meeting. He was an open book of course and even if he'd try to lie he would certainly fail. His open nature seemed to be obvious in the easiness he conversed.
