 The fog was thick and far too heavy for Hael’s taste. Her feathers were wet and she was feeling the damp all the way through her fur. Tired of flying in such conditions she decided to try and land. Lowering down toward the ground she was nervous about landing since she couldn’t see. The air tasted salty so she wondered if she was getting close to an ocean or sea. The lower she got the better she felt. Soon she’d be able to land and curl up and wait the weather out. A branch came out of no where forcing Hael to bank hard to the right to avoid clipping her wings. Her heart racing the world didn’t slow down like others always said in such situations. Instead it continued at it’s breakneck pace and Hael gasped as the ground came into sudden and all to sharp focus. Her landing turned into a roll. She froze and stayed still when she stopped. Her muscles sore, weary, and a little bruised, but she didn’t break anything as far as she could tell.

 Dante had been walking thought the thick fog. Once again he had to put this idea to the top of his bad ideas list. He had thought that he would be able to travel through the mountains with out any problem. This just about proved him wrong. He could barely see in front of him let alone around him. The air was so thick that when he breathed in he could taste the moisture and salt in the air. Taking a short cut through the mountains proved to be harder. He sighed as he stopped for a moment.
"Way to go Dante... Once again you've gotten yourself in a bind..." He looked around. "Hm?" His ears went up when he caught the sound of flapping wings. "What the..." He looked up into the sky trying to figure out what it was. By the sound of them they were ether a phim or daeva. "Oh god please don't be a daeva... thats the last thing I need..."
He waited for a moment and before there was any sign or warning he watched a phim come sailing out of the fog. He watched in astonishment. By the looks of it she was having trouble seeing and he didn't blame her. It must be just as bad up there as it was down her. He could also tell she was in a bit of a bind. He quickly followed her and when he heard the sound of her hitting ground he sped up. When he caught sight of her again she was on a laying position on the ground.
"Hey... Are you alright?" He called out to her.

Gingerly she stretched out her muscles and wings slowly making sure she was alright and then Hael got up into a sitting position. She fixed her stole and looked around for the voice she heard. There was a shape off to her left. It was about the size of a phim or deava, but thanks to the fog all she could tell was that it had dark fur. She grimiced at the thought of having another deava find her when she was down and vulnerable yet again. Still her promise to herself to improve and try and not judge others based on their blood lines was nagging at her to be polite even if the one before her was a deava. “Yes, I think I’m alright. I was just caught off guard when a fog bank rolled into where I was flying. It’s nothing.” She looked around and had no idea where she was. “Who might you be?” Hael couldn’t help it she tensed up. She knew she shouldn’t but if it was a deava then.. no she would not judge them not matter what. At least that is what she kept telling herself. She made sure to smile at the figure in the mist anyway even if she was uncomfortable enough to swallow a catfish whole at this point. “You wouldn’t happen to live around here would you? Perhaps you could tell me where here is?” She would swallow a catfish before she would admit to being lost, especially to a complete and total stranger.

He watched the figure sit up and was debating weather or not to get closer to her. By the sound of her voice she seemed worried or scared. The last thing he wanted to do was scare her off. So rather then get closer he stayed were he was... until he felt like he could approach her with out making her run off. He smiled when she had said she was ok. That was good. he would be worried if she was hurt. After all he would hate it if the female had been hurt.
"Well thats good. Im gad you are ok..." He sighed. "I know what you mean. This fog can just come out of no where." When she asked his name he figured it would be ok to come forward. "My name is Dante..." He moved closer to her so that she could see him. "Sadly... I don't live around here." he chuckled. "Sorry..."

He was glad she was ok? What was he some wayward fox knight come to rescue her? A part of Hael giggled at thought of being a maiden in distress, another part of her found it a thrilling prospect to be rescued. She mentally rolled her eyes for such fancies. She was a single mother with a son that was dating. The idea of her being rescued from anything this late in life was ludicrous. “Yes it was quite distressing to find myself flying in.” As the male came closer and the fog peeled away from him Hael was surprised to find herself staring at a rather handsome phim. He didn’t seem all that old, but with some foxes one could never be sure. “It’s alright Dante.” Even his name was strong. Heal had to admit she was impressed. “My name is Hael. Sadly I too don’t live around here.” She smiled trying to make a joke of their predicament.
(If she does a stupid nervous girly laugh I swear I will gut her muse and get her a new one. >.>)

"It is... you had a better landing then me though." He smiled. "When I came in... I came in crashing through the trees." he sighed. "I even hurt one of my wings..." His eyes moved to the one he had injured. "I've been traveling for days now trying to find a way out... im starting to find out that its getting harder and harder to make my way through here with out flying." He looked back at her. "Hale? Thats a beautiful name." He smiled then frowned. "Well I guess were both in the same boat then."

Following Dante’s gaze the vixen was concerned about his wing. Sadly she knew no medical care that she would be able to administer. “Well I know that you should keep an injured wing bound, but beyond that my knowedege of healing is nonexistent. I’m sorry Dante.” She still moved closer to look at his wing out of natural curiosity of how bad the situation was. Her own body complained of the bruises she would have, sending a silent prayer of thanks to any modiety that was responsible she was glad she wasn’t hurt in her own landing. “Well then I suppose it’s a good thing that we found one another. If it’s hard to get out without flying I can scout ahead and find an easier way to go. How does that sound Dante?” Oh she did like saying his name. It sounded so masculine. Blushing a bit she corrected the way he said her own name, a small part of her worried he wouldn’t find this as pretty, but the stronger impulse to be right overruled it.“Hey-L That’s how it sounds, not like ‘hale’” Being stuck in the same boat as him might be fun her mind whispered.

"Yeah... that was the first thing that came to my mind..." Dante stated when she mentioned that his wing should be bound. "Sadly..." he frowned. "I have nothing to bind it with..." He looked back at her. "So i've just tried to keep it as straight as I coud." Chuckling he smiled. "Don't worry... You don't have to apologize for anything. I would also agree that im glad I was able to find some one else." He sat down for a moment. "I was starting to worry I would be the only fox here." thinking about what what she said he nodded. "I think that might be a good idea... Hey-L..." He smiled saying her name the way it was correctly said.

Hael gave a small sigh and slipped her sparkly blue stole off. “Really now I’m here with a scarf and you say there is nothing to bind it up with.” She slipped over to Dante’s side and was confused on the best way to bind the male’s wing. “Ah can you walk me through how to do this? I’m afraid I’ve never had to bind up a wing before. Not even when my son got into scrapes as a kit.” Hearing him say he was glad to have someone else around made her insides sqee with joy and do odd little flips.
She beamed at him when he said her name right. It made her shiver with suppressed glee. She hadn’t expected to feel so happy when he said her name. It was just a name after all.

"Hm?" He looked over at her when she mentioned about using her scarf to tie up his wing. "Mm!" He was surprised. Was she really going to use her scarf to tie up his wing? But it was so pretty. "Oh no..." He backed up a little as she came toward him. "You... You cant do that... if you do your scarf will get all dirty..." He frowned. "I don't want to ruin your scarf. I'm sure we can find something else to tie my wing up."

Blinking Hael set about giving her fellow phim the motherly glare that often left her son apologizing and looking down embarrassed. “If it gets dirty I’ll wash it. Simple as that. Would you rather have your wing get even more damaged and never be able to fly again?” With that said Hael looked back at her stole not really sure how to wrap up a wing so she mused quietly aloud hoping for some sort of inspiration. “Do I just bind it to your other wing?” She could do that, but then Dante would have to be careful on how he moved. Of course he was probably doing that now.. so maybe that would work?

"Mm..." Dante blushed lightly as Hael glared at him. It reminded him of his fathers glare which caused a nervous smile. "Um... i would rather be able to fly..." This time a nervous chuckle escaped his lips. He wasn't sure of how to bind his wing ether. he had never had to bind another fox before. "Well to tell the truth I have never actually had to bind another phims wing before..." He sighed. "Sorry... Im not much help..."

“mhm..” Hael softened her gaze as she looked at Dante’s wings. “Alright. I’m going to try and bind one wing to the other. I don’t really know how to do this so you’ll have to tell me if this hurts too much.” With that said Hael took her stole and placed it over the injured with and then delicately touched Dante’s other wing to drag it closer so she could behind the two. “Oh no. It’s just neither of us have ever had to before… could you move your wing a bit in this direction?” She tried diligently to be as tender and delicate as she could be. The last thing she wanted to do was to be responsible for damaging such a handsome phim’s wings even more.

"Yeah ok..." He nodded. "Sounds good." He swalowed a little as he watched her go to doctor him. He was hoping that his wing wouldn't hurt too much if she tried to bind it. He wasn't much for pain. He winced a little as she pulled his wing and with to tie it to the other. Of course it didn't hurt as much as he thought. "Oh... um yeah of course." He moved his wing as she asked.

Hael finished up her wrapping. It wasn’t very pretty, but it would work. “There that’s all taken care of now.” She looked around at the area. Neither of them were from here so neither would know where to go. That could be troublesome. “Well what should we do now. I suppose we could keep going until we find the water and follow it to civilization of some kind?” Honestly Hael really had no idea what to do, but well finding some help of some kind was the smarter thing to do since one of them was hurt right?
