Hello everyone and welcome to my first episode of Talk Time! *cues clap track* Kidding. This isn't a t.v show, this is my own new series that focuses on gaia and real life! Your weekly does of randomness! Or non-randomness.... Anyways...! The summer is nearly finished and some kids and teens are already back in school while others are getting prepared, so our topic for the week is Back to School! I have a week left before school starts, so I'm enjoying my last few days of summer freedom while I can! But at the same time, I'm excited to start my new year of school! It'll be great to finally have something to do during the day! One of the things I like to do during 'Back to School Season' is supply shopping, believe it or not! I love finding the perfect backpack for the year, getting a whole bunch of new and awesome mechanical pencils, and clean, empty notebooks/binders! It gives me a chance to start fresh! I don't know about you guys, but each year I make a resolution to be more organized in school, put everything in its proper place, study for stuff, clean my backpack, folders, and binders once a week. I start out great and do everything I planned to do, but then I turn lazy and slack off. By the end of the school year, I'm a mess and can't wait to start fresh again! Have you ever experienced this? The thing I'm nervous about most during the beginning of school, is my schedule. Did I get the classes I wanted? Did I get a good lunch period? Am I in classes with my friends? Will I get to sit next to that cute guy? (x3)
I want to know how you guys feel about going back to school. Is it relieving? Stressful? Annoying? Ever had any zany, funny, awkward, awesome, or angering moments before or just as school started? You can vote in the poll and/or leave a comment/question! Even if you're an adult now and don't go to school anymore, or are in college, it'd still be great to hear your stories about when you were younger and attending elementary, middle, or high school!

I'm kind of like you, never hated going back to school, but never loved it either. I enjoy getting to start fresh and have something to do during the day, plus I get to see my friends a lot more (strange, right?). But after a few weeks I want to sleep in again! I'm also the same about studying and being organized. I do awesomely at first, but then I start losing steam and go back to the bare minimum. Luckily I've shaped up over the past few years and gotten straight As (go me!) and hopefully, I'll keep improving so I can get into a good meteorology college!^^

We both know how it feels! Luckily, school doesn't last forever! Unless you become a teacher.... but even then you retire!
I don't think I could ever be a teacher, I'd want to rip the heads off of all my students x.x

I *could have been* a good student in High School, but I was too busy being one of the *ahem* stare 'bad girls'. Partying, skipping, blowing off even my favorite subject (math - although I still made straight A's, I hardly ever went to class). I made it through by the skin of my teeth, 7 months pregnant.
What?? I *said* I was a bad girl...
Anyway, 1 week before my 41st b'day (after my 2 boys were grown) I went back to school. I LOVED college!! Now I have a BFA in Fashion Design. Graduated with a 3.5gpa. Yeah Me!!
I did the whole college experience, despite my age. Moved into the dorms, became an RA (residential assistant), got on work study... and no one even looked at me sideways for being older. It was awesome!!

I was always skeptical about college, wasn't sure if I'd like it or not, but from how it sounds, I guess I will! ^^

Like the option in the poll says "I LOVE going back to school!" And I seriously do! I always lounge around the house lazily over the summer, and by the time august rolls around I'm going stir crazy and need to do something no matter how terrible! Well, within certain limits of course! Anyways, school gives me that opportunity to get out of the house! Not only that but soon I'll be going to High School, yeah, like next year! And so I'm really excited to be moving to a new school, I mean, that's always fun, right? Besides, school isn't all that bad for me. Pay attention in class(or doodle durning boring stuff I can look up later), do my homework, and I'm freeee! Free as a bird! I get to see my friends a lot more (mre because I'm too lazy to call them up in the summer and they're probably all vacationing anyways sooo, myeh.) and it's fun getting new classes. As long as the teachers are douches. o_o So yes. I do in fact LOVE going back to school^^

Right, you totally have a point there! I really do love getting my school schedule and hanging with my friends more often, because I too hang around my house all summer x.x, but if a teacher is stupidly mean, that's enough to ruin my entire school year! Luckily, I got some pretty great teachers along with classes my friends are in as well! And I agree with you about the whole "moving to a new school thing", it is very fun and interesting to be in a whole new environment!
