So Gaia teamed up with the makers of Resort World and Backyard Monsters to bring them to GaiaOnline. Well to me BM looked like some weird remake of MonsterGalaxy so I decided why not try Resort World first?
So far this game is simple, you've an island and money to create a resort. After doing the usual preliminary tutorial you get free reign of the game. I personally rearranged all my plants out of the way and checked out the other stores and restaurants you could create. After finding the free ones I immediately grabbed the Obstacle Castle. Checking out my friends I noticed all had gotten the Japanese property.
So what do ya'll think of it so far? Thank god its not some sort of Farmville from Facebook.
I decided to just make this for Resort World so that players could ask questions about both and not worry about double posting.

I tried them both out and decided I liked the monster one better. You can build things easier on that one it seemed like. 3nodding
I started one of each though so feel free to add me to either.

Saber Talawyrm I tried them both out and decided I liked the monster one better. You can build things easier on that one it seemed like. 3nodding I started one of each though so feel free to add me to either. I just started the monster one. I think the whole resources thing on the resort world is gonna piss me off quick haha

I think the whole resources thing on the resort world is gonna piss me off quick haha Yeah, I'm having to wait for mine to build up now but you have to have stuff to make the buildings on the other one too and as far as I could tell there wasn't a way to harvest them.

Ahh thats resort world. there should be 3 different items of varying amounts you need. 2 you'll find on others property and one item you'll need friends to send you. So fans hmm? Mine's knights

Mine's knights Ah, see I didn't have any neighbors at the time so I couldn't find anything and had no friends to send the fans. Matasoga I'm waiting to try it until vacation ends. It's kind of fun. It's something to do while my moga are resting anyhow. Which, you are the only person I haven't battled on Monster Galaxy, I'm pretty sure I'd lose. ^^;

So After awhile you ge the chance to find a new island. After finding it on a map. How you do so, you get 3 clicks on this giant board and at some point you find it. I found mine early on amazingly enough. After that you have to get a hydroplane(which takes 5 treasure chest finds, 5 island finds and 5 friend gifts) AAAND you have to talk 5 people into joining a 'crew' for said hydroplane. After all is said and done you can go to your new island. Where pretty much everything is high cost, and new items.
I finally had to cave in and post in the gaming forums for some friends. i only have 2 that actively helped me on resort world(a 3rd if you counted ones mule when she occasionally jumped on it)
BTW-on said forum post outside of here I decided to try and get a list going of people who wanted friends for the game. Its still only a page long but if you want to be added let me know and tell me if you play both or only one game. <---does this count as advertising or something? Not trying to boost my thread, just trying to help friends find friends for their games. Lemme know if not cool.
