History: A long time ago, in a far off land a pair of ninja attacked a sacred monastery. In their search for a single monk, they went about killing every single member of the place, staining the wooden steps of the monastery with blood - destroying the main temple until it was nothing but splinters and shattered pottery. Since that time, many years past. The monastery was rebuilt, and repopulated with the faithful. Two great ninja wars were faught- and despite the passage of time and the many lives lost to the senseless whims of ninjakind- the world is very much the same as it's always been.
Hajime Takenaka was second-born in his clan, and, unable to take inheritance over his Father's things, was consigned to a life of meditation and study. This was all well and good, for a time, until Hajime began to read deeply into the history of humankind, and- more interestingly, the role of Shinobi. Curiousity overcame him, and he went on a pilgramage to a Temple in the nearest Ninja Village - were he witnessed things he found atrocious. Ninja- mercenary assassins- lived like kings while the poor of the countryside lived in huts and humble townships. The shinobi had high-technology, magical power, money, good food, and extravagance abound.
Rage was not an emotion for a Monk to feel, neither was nostalgia for a time in which he'd never lived. His masters urged him to swallow those thoughts- they'd come to no good in the end- but Hajime would not. The Shinobi were criminals to mankind itself - they were a threat to everyone - either through intention or utter delinquence.
Hajima left the Monastery, and used his monastic training for another use. Hajime Takenaka enrolled as a ninja assassin, in order to tear down the machine from the inside-out.
