There is an anime that I have recently become obsessed with: Keroro Gunso. (Japanese for 'Seargeant Frog; a bit bizarre, I know.) It has a bit of everything: action- the story is about an army of alien frogs who have come to invade "Pekopon', or Earth; love- there is a bit of romance between Giroro, an alien frog who hates humans and Natsumi, a human who hates alien frogs (XD); and more.
Well if it's decently constructed, I could see this being a decent rp. It's different, for one, and has some alright potential.
Maybe you could post it up in the romance forum// all roleplay, as your debut?
Unless you were just making a statement, in which case this would fare better in the Chatterbox.
