Mood: Neutral stare

My mother just bought me this journal, said that I should always keep a log of my life, something to look back on so that I never forget. Father says its a waste of time, that what's worth remembering I'll always remember. Mother doesn't agree, and I always want to agree with mother. She holds the power in the household...I see it, they're not that subtle. Father loves mother so much, to the point that he was willing to destroy the world for her. They don't think I know, but I do, I am their son afterall. Father stepped down from the role of Mizukage because he's afraid of his own power. He is my father, but sometimes he is rather foolish. Throwing your life away because you fear that power is cowardice. Then again, I am only ten years old, what do I know?
I guess I should start with introducing myself. My name is Maqui. I am the firstborn of Zane and Outou Hajime, twin brother to Yuj Hajime and nephew to Axel Hajime. I guess you could say that everyone in my family is not so average. My father Zane used to be the leader of Kiri's Hunter nins. He was known as the Spectre of the Mist, his abilities to infiltrate and assassinate even the most protected figures without leaving a single trace earned him that title. My mother, she belonged to one of the most respected clans in Kirigakure, the Kuranma Clan. However, being the child who had inherited all of the Clan's power, she was unbalanced and unstable. They say that she caused the destruction of half of Kirigakure when she lost control of her abilities, earning her the nickname: the Smiling Demon. My Uncle, well, he's the most odd of them all. Having been experimented on when he was a child, he has the ability to detect and recognize different chakra signatures, to the point where he could just recognize a person's chakra and always be able to find them. His hot headeness, along with his master over the fire element earned him the nickname: Flurry of Dancing Flames. He's currently in a relationship with Sosay Uchiha. She seems nice enough, I have yet to have any problems with her and like my mother, she seems to keep my uncle in line. Peculiar how women tend to do that...I wonder if that's going to happen to me one day. If its true what they say "like father like son" it would seem that I am destined to be whipped by a woman.
Which comes down to Yuj and I. I guess you could say we have a lot to live up to. Its strange though, sometimes I don't know wether people show us respects because we are Zane and Outou's sons, or they fear us because we are Zane and Outou's sons. I have yet to loose control of my powers, but then again I haven't fully utilized them. I graduated at the top of my class at the academy with barely little effort. My brother on the other hand, all he did was just goof around. If it wasn't for me he would have failed out of the academy. Of course, he has talents of his own, some that even I can't hope to copy and achieve. I practice genjutsu, the art of illusion. My brother is physicaly stronger than me, and if it ever got down to a match of strength, he would win by far. I guess he's the brawn to my brains, not to say that he doesn't have any brains. I love my brother, I don't know what I'd do without him. He is truly the Yang to my Yin. Divided, the two of us can get overtaken. But together, the two of us are able to overcome any obstacle. Which is why I hate being separated from him. We've been together for all of our lives. Rare are the times when we aren't together and when we are, it just feels strange. Well, I guess that's enough for today, I should be getting back to my studies. I'll write some more on you whenever I find the time.
