Mod: Underwent substantial medical treatments to keep his body functioning well, even at his age.

+||+---------------------------Character Loadout-----------------------------------+||+

Weapons:
User ImageBrugunn carries two heavy handguns that actually seem to be nearly the size of SMGs. They fire large handgun rounds as well as armor piercing rounds if prepared in advanced. They also carry large magazines that carry as many bullets as machine guns. The large apparatus he carries on his back is a combination of a rocket launcher and a laser generator, though his handguns need to be hooked up to the apparatus to use the laser function. Brugunn carries no other weapons, saying that is all he needs.

Armor: Standard titanium armor hidden under his coat. Some parts are reinforced to help cover old injuries. Or protect vitals.

Other items:Brugunn has no other clothing that what he already wears. He carries the usual credit voucher, communication device for his team, and some small locket that he never shares with anyone.

+||+---------------------------Background-----------------------------------+||+
Brugunn was born into the empire on the capital planet Garanth to a soldier couple. His mother retired to take care of him while his father continued serving the military. Brugunn grew up learning about the foundations of the Empire and the law and enforcement. He attended military school to begin learning regulations and policies of the empire. He graduated with honors to enter military college and begin learning about captaining ships and advanced weapons and technology. At age 21, he graduated from college and became a soldier in the military, where the rest of his life began.

Brugunn was assigned to the bridge of a military ship called the Viceax, a cruiser in the main Imperial fleet. They patrolled the galaxy, Brugunn learning protocol under the mentorship of the captain of the Viceax. They fought small skirmishes with pirates, illegal smugglers, and sources of dissent. One of Brugunn’s biggest assignments came later, when the Viceax was sent to put down a rebellion, smaller than the one around now. The Viceax and rebel ships clashed in a point-blank range fire exchange. Rebel troops boarded the Viceax and made their way to the bridge, preparing to take out the captain and extinguish any moral the troops had. That’s when Brugunn sprung, coming up from behind, his guns blazing into the rebel troops, foiling their strike attempt. Their assassination foiled, the rebel force quickly succumbed to the Imperial forces. Brugunn was commended for his bravery and actions and, at age 30, with a written recommendation from his captain, became captain of his own ship, the Hazard.

Brugunn’s reputation only grew from there. The Hazard took part in many exploration, heavy siege, and furious battles. It became famed for its ferocity and Brugunn only earned more fame whenever he dealt with enemies himself. Over many years, he recruited, trained, and fought alongside many soldiers. He became a respected officer and role model in many military institutions. It looked like Brugunn would be next in line for Supreme High Commander.

Then all of that hard work was blasted away by one incident. One and a half years ago, a manmade space colony called Endgaia was hijacked and invaded by terrorists. Brugunn was 48 at the time and very well established. He and the Hazard were sent to deal with the terrorists as cleanly as possible. The ship met the space colony in the middle of a nebula and made contact. The terrorists demanded they only send one man in, unarmed, to negotiate with them. Brugunn agreed to the rules and disembarked into Endgaia. Hours passed without any more communication to the Hazard. It’s unknown what transpired inside to cause the following events. Suddenly all the emergency alarms in the colony went off, alerting the Hazard. It was told to back away and that the colony’s energy generators were reaching critical levels. To make matters worse, a plasma storm happened within the nebula, causing interference with the ship’s communications so they could not access the colony’s systems or surveillance footage. The Hazard only had just backed away when the entire colony exploded. The shockwaves and offset plasma sent the Hazard into chaos. When it all settled down, there was nothing recognizable left of the colony save for a few escape pods. Only one had an occupant in it. It was Brugunn.

The entire incident was a fiasco. An entire colony, over 50000 lives, lost in the blink of an eye. The media had a holiday over this. The Imperial court had a headache. The public story was that the terrorists had no intention of negotiating, only inviting Brugenn over to eliminate a powerful commander to aid their comrades later. But in truth, there was no proof of this. Investigations turned up nothing. The explosion had destroyed any evidence that would’ve given clue to the events that had happened. Only one man could answer what had happened: Brugenn. He confessed it was his fault. He testified that the colony was completely overrun and that no matter what, the colony was lost. Even an entire fleet would’ve cost the lives of the colony and more soldiers’ lives. So he set up a chain reaction with the colony’s generator and excess hydrazine crystals to blow the entire colony apart, taking the terrorists with it before any more lives were put in jeopardy. He gave no more details, only confessing he had done it. And with no proof to neither confirm nor deny it, Brugunn’s word was taken. However, the Imperial court decided this truth could not be shared with the public. The new rebellion was rising and the news that a high-ranking, respected imperial captain had blown an entire space colony up would only serve to help the rebels. The cover story was made and, given the situation and lack of proof, was easily accepted and only rumors popped up about Brugenn being the prime suspect. The people who knew of Brugunn’s confession and those on the Hazard were then sworn to secrecy on the subject under penalty of death and treason. The public knowledge of the Endgaia Disaster was taken care of.

That left what to do with Brugenn. With his high status, they could not dismiss, execute, or heavily demote him without drawing suspicion. Instead, he was transferred from his heavily armed, high-profile battleship to a small strike-scout ship. On record, the transfer is written down as a personal request from Brugenn. This meant he still retains his captain status, but only just. His crew was made up of fellow soldiers who thought Brugenn was truly innocent and transferred with him. Now, instead of leading huge firefights, Brugenn’s team scouts the galaxy, patrols the boundaries, and performs many odd jobs. Brugenn also seemed different after the incident, growing much colder and stiffer. He talked less and never about the Endgaia incident, even when asked. His crew wonders what goes on in his head. Is he seeking penance? Peace of mind? Or some other answer that could not be fathomed in the human mind?

Miele Surgot

+||+---------Basic Information---------+||+

Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Homeworld: Garanth
Sector: Alpha Quad- Riiamar Central Zone

+||+-----------Appearance--------------+||+
User Image
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5’ 5”
Weight: 150 lbs

+||+----------------Character Information--------------------+||+

Class: Heavy Scout

Mod: N/A

Implant: N/A

Skills: Miele has only used one gun, her hand-held cannon, so knows how to use it well. Or so she says.

Abilities:Miele has a lot of heart and believes in her teammates a lot. She finds it easy to find good points in people and rarely dwells on the past. However, she has no other skills other than that and her cannon.

+||+---------------------------Character Loadout-----------------------------------+||+

Weapons:
User ImageMiele’s cannon is a tribute to battleships. It carries explosive shells and is very heavy and is very slow to fire, but Miele refuses to use anything else.

Armor: Miele wears custom made metal armor that makes her look like a battleship. The helmet has searchlights and communication tech that gives her better reception and broadcast range. Her armor is heavy though, making her slower than everyone else.

Other items: Miele’s casual clothing. She carries the standard credit voucher and PDA.

+||+---------------------------Background-----------------------------------+||+
Miele grew up on Garanth and underwent the usual school regimen most imperial citizens underwent. However, she was very adamant about joining the military, believing in the right of the Empire and hating how anyone would want to bring it down. Growing up though, she had a weird fascination with old style cannons. Today, the Empire normally utilizes missile launchers, bazookas, or artillery platforms. The idea of bringing back a hand cannon was silly though and Miele’s petition to give her a custom made weapon on the basis of ‘she’d use it’ was flat out refused and she was nearly kicked out of military school. Depressed, Miele gave up, going through more drooling years as a cookie cutter soldier.

Her fate changed one day though when it was announced the Hazard, Brugunn’s ship, was recruiting new members. Miele was only 16 at the time, hardly a graduated soldier, but knew this was her only chance to try and seize her dream of using her cannon. Miele lined up for auditions and met Brugunn himself. She was easily the youngest member at the auditions and the other judges who were with Captain Brugenn flat out refused her application due to her age, inexperience, and lack of knowledge. But Brugenn saw her from a different angle. He saw determination and heart in this girl, two things he wished more of his soldiers had. Brugunn brought her on, despite any comments the other judges made. Miele was ecstatic. She served Brugunn as loyally as possible for the first few months. After talking with the captain many times, she petitioned him for her very own custom armor and cannon and was granted. Miele started earning a nickname then: ‘Battleship S.S. Miele.’

Miele was aboard the Hazard during the Endgaia Disaster, staring out the window after Brugunn had gone into the colony. When the colony exploded and the shockwaves hit the Hazard, Miele banged her head and fell unconscious. She woke up after they found Brugunn and she rushed to him to ask what happened. Miele was heart-broken when judgement was passed down on Brugunn. She knew it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been, but deep down she was furious. She knew there was no way Brugunn could’ve been the one to kill all those people. No matter what excuse or explanation he gave, Miele believed he was innocent. Because of that, she resigned from the Hazard and joined Brugunn on the Mika. With her silly antics, she was bound to be fired from the Hazard anyway. Still part of Brugunn’s crew, she supports the team from afar with her cannon. And as the youngest member, she tries to do her best in making light of situations and keeping the others’ morale up.

Sluc Abula

+||+---------Basic Information---------+||+

Age: 24
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Homeworld: Asteroid Pirate Base
Sector: Beta Quadrant – Asteroid Field

+||+-----------Appearance--------------+||+
User Image
Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 145 lbs

+||+----------------Character Information--------------------+||+

Class: Scout

Mod: N/A

Implant: N/A

Skills: Sluc is familiar with all standard issue firearms and explosives. She has practiced controlled use of flame, laser, and plasma weaponry and is adept at using any weapon of those types. She has little knowledge of close range combat since her firearms can be used at close proximity.

Abilities: Sluc is good at observation and deduction. She used to train as an investigator before becoming a soldier in the military.

+||+---------------------------Character Loadout-----------------------------------+||+

Weapons:
User ImageSluc carries a crossbow-shaped flamer, with the fuel canister attached to her hip. The crossbow also has a secondary mode where it can fire bullets. She carries grenades and remote charges, but typically for demolition than fighting.

Armor: Sluc wears light, compacted Kevlar to preserve mobility and comfort. She also has a spare set of environmental armor for when the team investigates more bio-hazardous areas.

Other items: Sluc has a variety of normal clothes that reflect her outlaw-like past. They’re typically dark, washed out clothes wrapped around her body and nomadic-looking head gear. She carries the standard credit voucher and PDA as well as some cigarettes. In addition, she carries around a backpack in battle that has extra flamer fuel as well as grenades and remote charges.

+||+---------------------------Background-----------------------------------+||+
Sluc was born in the pirate base, home of outlaws and skilled bottom feeders. Her mother had been content living the rough road of a pirate, but when Sluc was born, she decided it was time to live honestly. Her mother fled with her from the base and managed to get a new identity and settle in the lowest slums of Garanth. Sluc’s mother then began working tooth and nail, scrubbing floors, fixing cars, fixing weapons, polishing whole apartment complexes, scrapping every spare coin in order to get Sluc into a good school. Sluc, understanding the importance of education, used her time to visit community libraries and bookstores to teach herself logic, utilities, and maintenance skills. She also took care of their small hole in the wall that was their home. Every night, her mother would come back exhausted, but Sluc would cheer her up with warm, watery stew. Then, when Sluc was 10, her mother didn’t come home. Her body was discovered in a sewer later. Police say she was probably lured with money and murdered.

Infuriated, Sluc took all the money they had saved up and forced her way into military school. She learned quickly, taking forensics and investigation classes to become a detective to help those like her. However, she soon realized that was the opposite of what she wanted. Detectives investigate crimes after they’re already committed. Sluc wanted to stop crimes. Seeking a better method, she trained to be a soldier instead. She took special interests in chemical weapons such as fire and plasma. At 20, she graduated from military school and became a local police officer. It was an alright job for a few years, but then she soon grew tired of it. It didn’t give her the satisfaction she wanted. This was also when she took up smoking. Tired, she visited her school to hopefully get an epiphany being in the place where she thought she knew what she was doing. That’s when she learned about the Hazard. Sluc applied for a position and was signed on as a special-weapons soldier. Over the course of her time on the Hazard, she got to know Brugunn a bit and eventually confided in him her past and what happened to her mother. Brugunn sympathized with her and said her origin means little compared to what she does now. Inspired by his words, Sluc worked extra hard as a soldier for him.

Sluc was one of the crew members awake to witness the Endgaia Disaster, the image burned into her memory. She panicked when she saw it happen and rushed to the bridge to ask what happened to Brugunn. She was one of the ones who went out to retrieve jettisoned escape pods so she could find him. While the higher-ups and imperial court sorted out the mess, Sluc tried to do her own bit of sleuthing. However, she turned up what everyone else had: nothing. Despite her lack of evidence, she’s sure Burgunn is innocent, or at least suspects there are a lot of hidden circumstances he hasn’t yet divulged. With those feelings, she decided to stick by him after his transfer, becoming a scout soldier aboard the Mika. She takes care of tasks that require more finesse and is also the key player in extermination and obstacle clearing missions.

Hair: Light Brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5’ 9”
Weight: 165 lbs

+||+----------------Character Information--------------------+||+

Class: Scout/House-keeper

Mod: N/A

Implant: Gar-ne has an artificial leg due to losing hers in a past battle.

Skills: Gar-ne trained in the military for artillery and knows how to use most explosive weapons: grenades, rocket launchers, mortars, flak cannons, etc. She has decent knowledge of other commonplace weapons that use bullets.

Abilities:Gar-ne has a vast knowledge of cleaning techniques, organization methods, and how to work laundry machines. Basically if it has to do with cleaning, she knows what to do.

+||+---------------------------Character Loadout-----------------------------------+||+

Weapons:
User ImageGar-ne carries around a mortar launcher that can fire explosive or incendiary rounds. She also has a small SMG sidearm.

Armor: Gar-ne wears standard issue titanium armor that is reinforced in the arms and down the sides to help her with recoil from her mortar launcher.

Other items:Gar-ne typically wears warm colored sweaters and skirts when not on duty. She carries the usual PDA and credit voucher and usually has tissues and a cleaning rag on hand. When she carries her purse, she has a makeup kit as well as more cleaning supplies for those quick touch-ups.

+||+---------------------------Background-----------------------------------+||+
Gar-ne was born in the Imperial Capital planet of Garnath into a middle class family with three older sisters. Her oldest sister was 16 at the time and in military school. While the other sisters went down other paths, Gar-ne idolized her oldest sister. She saw her as a very brave person, almost like a hero. Gar-ne walked with her to the military academy every day and studied her old books and notes. She was sad to see her off, but was very proud to be her sister and decided she would follow her and fight alongside her. Gar-ne enrolled in military school as soon as she could. Throughout her school years, she talked to her sister through intergalactic calls for help and guidance. Her mother-like attitude sprouted around then, Gar-ne worrying a lot about her sister and hoping nothing would happen to her, despite all her sister’s reassurance that nothing would happen to her since she was on a small-time patrol ship. Thanks to her sister’s support, Gar-ne graduated with flying colors into the military.

Fresh out of the academy, she joined the Hazard and was one of the first soldiers under Brugunn’s command. Despite among equals, she still acted like a worrisome mother, often picking up after all her subordinates, doing laundry, and cleaning out rooms. During one laundry excursion, she came across Amari and the two soon became fast friends. With Gar-ne’s cleaning and Amari’s cooking, the two became known as the ‘house-wife duo.’ Even Brugunn heard about them and began talking to them once in awhile, allowing the two to really get to know Brugunn. Gar-ne even helped organize his room and files.

Gar-ne was one of the crew members who wouldn’t accept Brugunn as the real culprit of the Endgaia disaster. She got into several fights with some of the other crew members, quickly jumping to defend Brugunn whenever a soldier even spoke a whisper about the possibility of him blowing the colony up. Fed up with the other soldiers, Gar-ne resigned from the Hazard and went with Brugunn aboard the Mika. Still one of the ‘housewife duo,’ Gar-ne helps take care of everyone on the Mika by cleaning up after everyone, doing the laundry, organizing resupplying and shopping, etc.

+||+-----------Appearance--------------+||+
User Image
Hair: Dark Blue
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5’ 9”
Weight: 155 lbs.

+||+----------------Character Information--------------------+||+

Class: Scout/Medic/Cook

Skills: Amari has experience with a gun and standard military training to handle firearms. Due to her modded condition, she is in no shape for close-quarter combat.

Abilities:Amari takes care of the crew of the Mika and has many skills attributed to housewives. She can tidy up messes and cook delicious group meals on limited ingredients. She also trained as a medic and knows first aid and several other medical practices. Combined with her cooking experience, she can concoct medicines herself.

+||+---------------------------Character Loadout-----------------------------------+||+

Weapons:
User Image Amari carries a single pistol that fires standard bullets.

Armor: Amari has lighter titanium armor that utilizes plates around key areas of her body, such as her chest and legs, to minimize weight so she can move around the battlefield faster.

Other items:Amari’s civilian clothes are a lot like Gar-ne’s where its typically warm clothes the emphasize comfort. She also has some handmade clothes from her home planet that she sometimes wears. She carries a PDA, credit voucher card, and usually a medkit or first aid kit. She always keeps a canister of bandages, painkillers, and sleeping pills in her wrist compartment.

+||+---------------------------Background-----------------------------------+||+
Amari’s family is one of many that raise animals on a farm on Eurias. As such, Amari grew up learning how to cook a lot of foods using locally grown ingredients, how to take care of animals, and how to help around the house. She was content to keep living this way, up until her teen years. At that time, a recruiting station for the military opened up and she began having ideas. Traveling the galaxy, meeting more people, maybe even learning new recipes. Her family wasn’t that rich to afford travel, so joining the military would be her only choice for that. After a lot of consideration and talking it over with her parents, Amari got her parent’s consent to head off to Garnath to attend the military academy there.

After Amari got to the academy, it was quickly evident she wasn’t suited for combat. Her accuracy was average, her strength was weak, and she flinched every time she fired a gun. However, she avoided expulsion by switching her focus to medicine and began learning about being a medic. In order to stay at school, she also signed up for an experimental implant to put a small storage space in her wrist and also a mod to make her body able to move faster. Luckily she got them in that order because the nerve mod made her more sensitive to pain. While that lowered her value as a soldier even more, Amari proved herself to be a capable medic time and time again in tests and evaluations. Amari continued working hard and holding onto her dream of soaring through the stars, eventually rewarded with graduation and a spot as a medic on the new ship the Hazard, being put together for Captain Brugunn.

Once on the Hazard, Amari tried to remain quiet in the background and not draw too much attention to herself, hoping to just use the Hazard to travel. That changed within the first day when she saw what food they were served aboard the ship. It wasn’t the most horrible thing ever, but Amari, coming from a planet where everything was fresh, handmade, and prepared with love, detested that the empire expected its troops to function on such nutrition. She got into a fight with the cook aboard the ship and eventually pushed him out of the kitchen and cooked many of the meals herself. The difference was night and day and the crew made sure she knew that. She also kept giving her peers life tips and criticized them whenever they didn’t tidy up or did something unhealthy. During one time when she was cleaning up after a rowdy bunch of soldiers, she met Gar-ne and the two soon became fast friends. With Gar-ne’s cleaning and Amari’s cooking, the two became known as the ‘house-wife duo.’ Even Brugunn heard about them and began talking to them once in awhile, allowing the two to really get to know Brugunn. Amari would even bring him meals to his private room once in awhile, specially ordered for him.

Amari was on the Hazard when the Endgaia Disaster happened and was mortified. So many innocent lives were lost. Women, children, men just trying to feed their families, all gone. The disaster mortified her and she spent most of the time after it in shock. She couldn’t even be with Gar-ne to defend Brugunn, all she could do was sit and think about all those lost lives. Later on, she met Gar-ne to learn what had happened to Brugunn. She was relieved to hear he wouldn’t be executed, but would be transferred. Gar-ne then told her of her plans to transfer with him. Amari then said she would as well. Gar-ne was one of her best friends and, after some reflection, believed Brugunn wouldn’t have done that to the colony without some other reason. Along with the others, she transferred from the Hazard to the Mika. She works as the ship’s medic and also the cook, still holding up her title of one of the ‘house-wife duo.’ She’s often the one to stay with the ship since she isn’t the most efficient one for combat.
