Only a week or so had passed since Ryker had awoke to the searing pain of basicly being dragged back from the edge of life and death. He had never learned the name of the alicorn that had healed him and shattered his world. It had only been by luck that the alicorn stranger had come across him, and Ryker could only assume that the same could have been said about his father stumbling across him. He had assumed at the time that his father would have reacted much the same way as his grandmother and cousin would have - that Azzan would have killed him; but he had not.
A new side of his father had been revealed, one that completely contradicted the slightly insane, malicious, sadistic, and 100% devoted and faithful servant of his mother. When his father had come across his mutilated form the initial reaction had been... Panic. He had carried Ryker to the tent of a two-legger, one he had apparently known well before meeting Rykers mother. The two-legger had wrapped his chest, his neck, splinted his leg, and had stitched his head wound, but there was only so much she could do. After a brief discussion with Azzan, where Ryker asked him to tell his mother he was dead, Ryker had left the two leggers tent and sought out a place where he could heal on his own.
Already the bandages holding the shredded bits of flesh to Rykers body began to give a rotten odor. The splint was caked with mud and dirt. Flies constantly buzzed around his head. He hadnt thought of how he would clean his wounds when he had left his father and the two legger's presence. Normally he would simply bath to clean his wounds, but the bandages held water on the wounds too long, and he could not remove them. Even if he could, he feared that the flaps of flesh SmallPox had attempted to remove when skinning him alive would break free from his body once more.
With a loud grunt and a heavy sigh Ryker eased himself to the ground - he tired easily now. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit about his situation though - not only was he clueless now about his life, but about his body as well. He wasnt so sure he wasnt in hell after all.
