Talent: Can learn any instrument she gets her hands on, but excels in her violin studies the most. Myka's also a math and science genius. She's a history buff as well, and plans on becoming an archeologist if she can. Myka also reads as much as possible, which helps with pretty much everything, and makes her the smartest person in her family.
Bio: Myka was born into a very wealthy, Minotaur family. Her parents, who were the head of the Brennan family, disappeared when she was 3, so she was bounced around from family member to family member until she reached her grandfather, who abused her verbally and physically. When she was 16, her grandfather was killed, and she was quickly enrolled into Black Rose Academy by her brother. Because she was named the heiress of the Brennan fortune, she isn't liked very much by her family, and is generally ignored by most of them, except by those who beat her, especially her grandfather who would whip her. When she was 4, her only kind aunt began to teach her how to play the violin, but when she was killed when Myka was 11, Myka was forced to hire a teacher, who didn't teach her very well. Now, she leaves the teaching to professors and herself. When her aunt was killed, Myka was a witness to the murder, and she never recovered, as it was her grandfather who killed her grandmother, two of her aunts, and her older sister. She also watched her only brother killed her grandfather in retaliation and was changed into a demon in order to save her. As Myka was growing up, she had one real friend: a boy who lived next door to her. She helped him take care of his mother, as they didn't have much money and the mother was a sickly woman, and eventually, the boy grew to love Myka, as Myka loved him in return. However, when Myka's uncle died and she was sent away, the boy and his mother slowly began to wither away from lack of nourishment. By the time that Myka was able to come back to visit them one year later, the boy himself was on his deathbed, his mother having died several months before him. As she said her tearful goodbyes, the boy died, happy to know that she was there. Myka never truly got over it. Because she's an empath, Myka's temper was never normal, which caused her to be even more of an outcast, as no one else in her family inherited the ability as she had from her mother, as well as her pyrokinesis. All she really lives for is the hope that Sebastian will someday come back to her.
Personality: Myka's very quiet and sweet, but before that, was loud, outgoing, a smarta$$, smiley, and all around happy. She makes friends very easily, regardless of her shyness, and is almost never loud. However, when she is loud, it's only when someone makes her angry, when she's exhausted, or when she genuinely trusts someone. Her temper is easily lost, especially when someone calls her short. Her solace is found in music, and she plays the violin, cello, guitar, and piano. She's also very smart, and usually keeps her opinions to herself to protects others' feelings. Myka used to be anorexic, so she's insecure about her body and is often said to be a little too frail. She's terrified of the dark and still sleeps with a teddy bear that she calls Kuma, so when she's alone in the dark, she tends to freak out unless she has Kuma. Unfortunately, she's petrified of thunder and lightening, and the only thing that can make her better is a song that her parents used to sing when she was a little girl. Myka's very good with kids, and tends to act motherly toward anyone who looks like they need it, regardless of age.
