Carlisle stood under a tree, enjoying the shade from the heat, not that he had many issues with that. His white coat happily reflected the light in a spectrum of sparkling colours. He looked up at the tree he stood under hoping that this had been a good place to meet. He had been told he had a student, one that was still young it seemed. But this tree stood out, it was pretty much alone in the middle of the meadow, not to mention that it was not to far from the school. Sighing he worried to himself, maybe he should have gone to collect the student? He wasn't sure how young they were but if they were very young then he had a responsibility to make sure they always arrived home safely.
About to go and collect them he stopped himself, he had no idea where they lived, besides they were probably nearly here... He would wait but make sure to take them home when the lesson was done, then he could collect them. He might not be a parent but he was always very protective of those in his care and for the time that this student would be with him he would be responsible. Walking round the tree, it was huge and old, the trunk wide, the tug of the grass on his long golden tail as he walked helped him be distracted from his worry. Others would probably find it funny that a full grown angeni like him would fret so, many made assumptions about him based on his fangs. In reality however those that knew him knew that Carlisles biggest problem was that he cared too much... And till his new young student arrived he would worry.

Crisanto trotted down the forest path towards the meadow he had been told he was meeting his new instructor in. He had never dreamed that he would love the knight school so much. Even at this young age though, his father had instilled in him a sense of justice and kindness, being a knight himself. Although he had passed away not long ago, Crisanto was never sad when he thought of him. He had died protecting the innocent - he was a hero and Cris wanted to be just like him. Looking ahead he spotted a break in the trees and knew he must be getting close. He was a bit nervous - he had heard that his instructor looked a little... different. But Cris's mom had told him to never judge anyone by their appearance. Still... fangs? Taking a deep breath, Crisanto stepped into the bright sunlight to meet his new professor.

He looked round as he herd hooves approaching, looking mildly surprised but smiling all the same at the flutter foal that was walking towards him. Laughing to himself as he adjusted his 4 large wings, the silver chain around one of the glinting. Smiling at the foal who made him think of desert sands. Smiling his usual fangy smile, golden eyes friendly and cheerful. Stepping from the shade into the sunshine to meet the young one, his white coat seeming to explode in tiny rainbows as he moved closer. His fur and feathers were always sparkling from where he ground minerals for medicines.
Shaking the flop of longer golden hair out of his eyes as he meets the young one. "I'm Carlisle, I am pleased to meet you and I am happy to be your teacher for Herbalism. I was thinking for this first meeting we would get to know one another a little and perhaps see what you already know so we can move on from there. Is that agreeable with you?" He had never really been a teacher before, however he knew what he knew, and was good with it, and when they gave him a chance he was good with others. So he was giving this new student a chance to get to know him and see past the sharp teeth he sported.

Cris looked up at the large stallion and smiled. He was so.... pretty! There was something strange about his coat - it looked like it was made of diamonds. His eyes were also kind looking - whatever reservations he had about the stallion possibly being dangerous melted away when he heard the soft and calming voice.
"I'm Crisanto, and it's an honor to be your student." He said as he bowed his head slightly. He had been worried that he might not do well in this class, but Carlisle seemed confident; from the way he held himself to the way his voice sounded. "That sounds very agreeable to me, let's get started!" He was practicallt prancing in place from the excitement. He didn't know how much he knew about herbalism, but both of his parents had taught him the names of several species. Mostly so he wouldn't eat something poisonous.

Grinning he looked at Crisanto. "Well Crisanto, we will be spending a fair amount of time together so if you would prefer you maybe call me Carl.... Just don't tell anyone else ok?" He actually hate shortening his name but younger soquili sometimes found things hard to say, especially if it was unfamiliar, besides he wanted his first student to feel at ease with him. Turning and nodding for the foal to follow with him. Starting to walk, measuring his pace so Cris's shorter legs didn't have to work harder to keep up. "So what questions do you have? You can ask about anything today, about me or about what you will learn. How about we make it a game, you ask a question and I ask a question, and that way we will get to know each other." Smiling at the foal beside him.

Carl... didn't seem to fit the stallion. Crisanto was very happy that Carlisle had offered to let him use a nickname, but he rather liked his full name. "Thanks, but is it ok if I just call you Carlisle? I think that fits you better." Cris fell in step with the stallion and was trying to think of questions to ask him. His mind didn't seem to want to work past those fangs though. He didn't fear him anymore, but he was still very curious about them. Would it be too rude to ask about them? Well, it wasn't going to leave his mind until he found out, so Cris decided to just ask. "So, why do you have fangs? Where do they come from?"
